TBHK THEORY - THREAD
WHO IS THE CAT?! PT2
where the kegare will eat away at there souls then there bodies...
This spreads faster when they have impure emotions or any type of impurity/kegare.
Due to this, the kegare / 'god' becomes stronger & stronger..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is also called to be a "feeding" system, the god doesn't have any use for the bodies unless they're alive.
Mainly because it uses the persons spirit as a main vessel, manipulating anyone & the persons spirit & mind.
Tumblr media
Something I got wrong in my last threat was the difference between physical & spiritual protection,
I would still suggest reading it due to the fact I go into how Nene Yashiro DOESNT get infected with kegare & etc...
You can read it here!<3
However this is why the Minamoto didn't do anything cuz they literally couldn't without a pure kannagi...
But then the Minamoto clan had stopped giving sacrifice's which left the
'god' hungry, which is why it started to lure people into the red house in the first place…..

The new timeline is the original
(And Tsuchigomori has something to do with it)
Okay so, like always I will start by saying that somebody probably already thought of this without me knowing, so SORRY if I'm saying something that has been said before.
Tumblr media
To start, let's remember 3 things:
1) Tsuchigomori can change something about someone's life ONCE, that would result in his death (probably)
2) Hanako/Amane is the only one who "managed to change his faith" (AKA dying at 13 and never becoming a teacher)
3) Tsuchigomori and Hanako/Amane are seemingly really close
In the "new" Timeline Amane never died as a teen and became a teacher...but (from my understanding) He got possessed and killed his family when he was young?
What if the event that the Clock keepers changed is Tsukasa's return? What if Tsukasa was NEVER supposed to come back?
Maybe in this universe what was planned for Amane was to become a teacher, but ending up dead in the Red House, wanting to find out about what exactly happened to his little brother.
Then, given that Tsuchigomori basically knows everything about everyone he would know about Amane's life and his faith, out of care for him he changes the events of the Red House, that leads to the creation of a NEW timeline (the "original") where Tsukasa comes back home (now "sharing" [kinda?] His body with the God), this unfortunately makes things worse, because Amane doesn't grow up, he kills Tsukasa and then dies.
In this new timeline Tsuchigomori has no memory of ever changing History and is convinced that Amane (now Hanako) was the one to change his faith, when all along, it was just him.
Now this is kinda reaching, BUT what if Clock Keepers going back to the original timeline caused some issues with the Red House, that it's trying to "restore" what the new timeline was like? By idk..killing off characters that were SUPPOSED to be dead? Now this is sorta inconsistent, cause the only one it killed someone that we know was connected to the House in the previous timeline (This theory's new Timeline) is Sousuke, to actually prove this the others (Akane, Aoi and Kou) shouldn't have died, and characters like Mei and Minamoto Mom should've, I just wanted to include this small thought I had.
Everyone is free to correct me with all the stuff I got wrong! Time travel fries my brain and we still have a lot to know about the Yugi Twins 💔

I just had a thought.
All the happy times and days she spent with Hanako, Kou, and the others. Those are Yashiro's "Yorishiro" are they not? I mean in a metaphorical sense. They are what is most precious to her. Whenever something bad happens, her main goal is to return to those times. They are her strength and reason to keep going, and without them, she feels weak. So, in a metaphorical sense... those happy days are her Yorishiro right?

I FINISHED TBHK SEASON 2 EP 2 AND I REALLY LIKED IT!!! Spoilers up ahead obv
Genuinely fun watch for me at least, aside from a few bits of animation that just annoyned me bc I'm annoying and nit picky (like the whole kous reaction to Nenes life span)
Akane looked cool IMO IDK YALLS THOUGHTS ON IT BUT I THOUGHT HE LOOKED NICE DONT COME FOR ME...
Jokes were mostly on point for me, I laughed a couple of times oh yeah
I don't think I have any genuine problems with this episode, it was really cute and I'm excited to see other people's thoughts!
Also side note I just found out teru is voice by Yuma Uchida and I'm so fucking happy yall don't even know...

Listen, this specific Nene theatre could represent many things. This being a possibility as well. But man…I really hope Hanako doesn’t have to kill Tsukasa again. (Maybe Vanquishing Tsukasa could mean he finally gets to pass on?)
I want a happy ending for all of them. :(
(Tbh I don’t really have many feelings for Tsukasa, but I still empathize a bit with him)
I also can’t help but wonder, if this theatre could be directed at Kou? We immediately see it being directed at him, which intrigues me. Could this theatre be as literal as it first appears? With Kou being the boy from the sky…who exorcises Hanako? I suppose only time will tell.

Tbhk Ch120 Analysis:
(Warning: Spoilers)
Tumblr media
#1: Teru did not kill Kou on accident or by reflex.
I’ve seen this take on tumblr and Twitter and I disagree. As much as I like the poetic irony of Teru’s violence towards supernaturals causing him to hurt whose he’s sworn to protect from them, I think it’s wrong.
As Teru blasts Kou, Teru is already upset.
Tumblr media
Comedy moments in the manga aside, this is the 1st time we’ve ever seen Teru visibly devestated. Prior to this he has always, consistently approached supernatural danger with whimsy and lighthearted cheer. Even when there were dire stakes:
Tumblr media
Teru after realizing Aoi was essentially dead after coming getting kidnapped by Number 6. (Ch70)
Tumblr media
Teru in ch79, after learning his baby brother went into the notably deadly Red House. (Ch79)
Tumblr media
Teru after getting betrayed and apprehended in the Clock Keepers’ boundary. Where they’re supposed to be “undefeatable.” (Ch109)
The uniting factor is that Teru had some level of control. That there wasn’t any true danger/death. He’s gonna get Aoi back, he had faith in Kou to not succumb to the house’s wishes, and you can’t die in boundaries (applies to when the gang got jumped by Num 6 too).
Here, Teru is devastated — not bc Teru is sacred that Kou may get hurt (active threat) but bc Teru knows Kou is already dead.
Look at how Teru walks to the well immediately.
Tumblr media
Teru isn’t falling to his knees like “Wait, I didn’t mean to kill him. What have I done?“
He walked there immediately. With intent.
He’s not acting like someone who’s killed his brother on accident. On reflex. He’s acting like someone who knows. Who’s already grieving. Who’s checking for confirmation.
Confirmation that his little brother died in that well. Has been dead.
This isn’t a boundary or fictional world. That is the real Kou — just of a different timeline — and in this one he died. No control, no games, no convenient truth. And Teru couldn’t protect him.

I still to this day do NOT understand how people defend Hanako in this scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly just this entire scene I found SUPER disturbing and I don't understand how anything defends this...
Everyone's argument is "oh but he loves Nene" or "he's just misunderstood"
Like- tf is there to misunderstand in this??
He tells Nene straight to her face that Aoi died and he DOESN'T CARE.
Nene even felt LIED to bc she thought Hanako and her were meant to be saving Aoi.
Tumblr media
And before people say "Hanako didn't sacrifice Aoi!"
Yes that's true but he DELIBERATELY didn't do anything to prevent it and even let it happen on purpose bc it was convenient for him.
Both Hanako AND even the summery of volume 15 paint the picture of Hanako finding this CONVENIENT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's his literal JOB to intervene with stuff like this and he doesn't do it bc of his desperation to "fix" Nene's life span-
Even tho it was Nene's BEST FRIEND he didn't care...
But the thing is, is that Hanako does care but he ONLY cares about Nene and even so much so to the expense of even her loved ones
He even shows exactly what he told us in the beginning here...
He's says he "granted your wish" but Nene says it wasn't what she meant...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it seems really similar almost like exactly what he told us in the beginning?
Tumblr media
"You have to pay a suitable price."
A life for a life.
Nothing good comes from supernaturals and to date even now NOTHING good has come from the living interacting with the supernatural.
This scene for me just proves what Teru's been trying to tell us..."there's no such thing as a "good supernatural".

TBHK THEORY - THREAD
WHO IS THE CAT?! PT1
Ok, I'll explain who this cat is & WHY + etc...
The cat is obviously Tsukasa, not only due to its eyes but because it's the only Yugi it COULD be.
Something we have to remember, is that Amane grew up & now is trapped in the red house, being used as a vessel. Both spirituality & physically.
Tsukasa is no different, he was taken when he was around 4 years old cause that's when the clock keepers had taken out "the imposter"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 'god' can still use the bits of Tsukasa soul as a vessel however any other parts of the soul that HASNT been corrupted can be used to make another supernatural with lesser supernaturals.
Like what Tsukasa did to Mitsuba!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(But instead of a spirit body, Kako had given him a cat body most likely due how cat like Tsukasa is
— OR so they owls don't have to eat all the mouse's!)
"Oh but that's Hanako! It ACTS like Hanako-“ WRONG IM SORRY YOUR HONOUR.
Something you have to realise is that Tsukasa has thought being TOLD what to do is who he is, Tsuaksa most likely believes that the gods thoughts & desires are HIS desires.
Tsukasa is told what to do, not what HE wants to do which he grew up with at the AGE OF 4
Now that he works for the clock keepers and he is STILL like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then who is the baby Tsukasa we first saw?? Well, it's a vessel of Tsukasa's soul that was corrupted by the 'god'.
Using his soul to corrupt others souls, like Kou (the 'god' using Kou as a vessel) explained.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 'god' is trying to spread kegare & death, Trying to kill everything & everyone in the process.
Something | should also point out is that the people who are being scarified, in the old and new timeline aren't going to the far shore.
They're going to the pit, Aoi wasn't MEANT to go to the far shore however that's what everyone THOUGHT they went but in reality.
Theyre souls end up in the pit... there bodies will be in the water or also be transported in the pit

I loveddd the voices in the sand this chapter. I love how comforting they are as they send nene to worse and worse worlds. the more terror she goes through, the more they soothe her, becoming her only source of comfort.
and it contrasts so beautifully to this last panel of akane, who does not look like he has a reassurance coming. the audience may be initially comforted by him finding nene (and what a great contrast there too, that the sand lures her in and knows she’ll come back, whereas akane has been actively working to find her), but it does not look like his finding her is necessarily a solution.
I think this is a really satisfying and interesting continuation of this arc’s theme of the value of autonomy even if it’s not the ideal situation—the value of your life having troubles that mean something to you. very excited to see what akane’s been up to next chapter!
