Darklina March Mania 2023: Shadowman’s Revenge

Welcome to March Mania 2023! Unlike a lot of our events, this one is a competitive event! We have three teams this year, all competing to create the most things in order to snag some bragging rights and a featured spot on the server’s tumblr page!

Over the next few weeks, you can pick which of the three team(s) you want to contribute to—you can focus on one, you can hedge your bets and contribute to all three, whatever feels like the best strategy to you! It’s the last bit of Darklina mania before Season 2 drops, let’s go wild!

RULES

You need to state which team(s) each work is supporting. This needs to be at the top of the page on Ao3 or in the main body of the post if posting on Tumblr, Instagram, etc.

Of the five prompts on each team card, you only have to include 4 of them–with the same twist as last year: of your four prompts, you must include [locations or the team theme (sun summoner/shadow summoner/amplifiers)].

Your four elements need to be noted in the author’s note or the tags.

The elements you choose must be major parts of the work, not passing references.

If posting to Ao3 submit your works to the appropriate team’s Ao3 collection. Works that are not submitted to the collections won’t count in the event!

You can enter as many times as you want for whatever teams you choose! You aren’t locked into any particular team!

Yes - you can make artwork, gifsets, moodboards, playlists, poems, drabbles, full blown novels, etc for this event! The more the merrier!

Yes - you can start submitting March 1st! The event ends March 15th (at 00:00 GMT) – before S2 premiers!

Yes - you can add a new chapter to a pre-existing work. You will have to say which chapter it is if you choose to do this.

Yes - you can collaborate and co-create with others for this event, however, if your group only makes one work that only counts as one entry

Yes - you can just work for a single team, our only requirement is that everything you make is distinctly different Yes - you can create different works for different teams, you’re not limited to “picking” one team

Yes - you can add cards together, but then your workload is doubled! Instead of 4 elements, you'll have to do 8! There’s no requirement to do this, though!

Yes - Non-server members can enter, just like last year!
