A sketch of a nurgle-corrupted tech-priest

I won't finish it, i just needed to get the idea out of my brain :) Local Biologos gets too into the new project and catches the plant plague. Don't worry, he loves his flower babies. He just needs to find a good spot in the wasteland to get rooted in before the foliage consumes his augments and prevents them from moving :)

After finishing last campaign, we all agreed we would never play Dark Heresy again. 5 months later, here we are again! :DDD The warband gets back together after 20 years and my little gunkata enginseer returneth as a bona fide magos! A Forge world chainsmoker had to get everything from mouth to lungs replaced? What a shock! I'm a little sad at the loss of facial expression, but he's hyper and extra enough to broadcast his vibes.

Tech-Priest of Mars

Full-body of my newest OC, Enginseer Muon Ι-Φ-6 (Muon, for short). He was recruited to a Rogue Trader ship after a battlefield he was deployed to turned bad. He didn't dislike working on war machines but the promise of archaeotech discovery and being able to work with a void ship's machine spirits was enough to convince him.

I spent the whole week on this, it was originally just a sketch to figure out his augmentations and how his body looked, then I tried redesigning his robes, and then 4 days later I was still rendering it, oops. I tried a new workflow for the shading.

Listening to this almost daily while working, and my colleagues are surprised that I am the only one without any printing or computer issues... Omnissiah protects. Now, don't forget to always be on good terms with your local tech-priests and bring them small gifts.

So like, if you want to restrain someone, you'll put handcuffs on them or tie their arms with rope. Makes sense. But what if you're trying to restrain a tech-priest? What do you do with all those robotic limbs and mechadendrites slithering about? Tie the mechadendrite into a knot and idk, power off the robotic limbs? If the limbs have a scissor-like end, do you use one of those bands people put on lobsters to stop them from pinching?

I saw this photo online with a guy who saw individuality in mushrooms and took pictures of each one individually... And I just immediately thought that this is something some Magos Biologis might do, and now I'm going to make myself one.

They don't have a name yet, but I think they were born on some agro-world where the Adeptus Mechanicus plays an important role, even if the world doesn't belong to them. It all started with some common mushrooms for the world that piqued their interest, but then they found out how diverse mushrooms can be and made this the direction of their research.

They spent a lot of time in the cave systems of the agro-world, which were of no interest to production, and therefore were not particularly developed, but there were many little-studied species of mushrooms. Then one home world became not enough for them, and they wanted to study some unique species of mushrooms in a jungle world or somewhere else. They aren't very interested in anything other than mushrooms, so they wouldn't become an Explorator in the service of a Rogue Trader, but would travel with their retinue on passing Imperial ships.

They definitely have a collection of infocrypts with picts of every mushroom they've ever seen. And a collection of flasks with pickled specimens of their favorite species. They wear them on their belts, but only show the most valuable ones to those they trust.

I think they have some kind of experimental technology based on mushroom mycelium, so the non-augmented part of the face is distorted beyond recognition by spores. And the mushrooms are also growing somewhere from the mantle, on the sleeves, from under the hood or on the back.

Their tech-brothers on the agro-world took this in stride, although the laity were frightened by the appearance of the magos. So it came as a great surprise to them that outside their home world, the Inquisition, the eclisiarchy, the laity and even other Adeptus Mechanicus ask a lot of questions and accuse them of Chaos worship. No Nurglite, they are just a chill guy who likes mushrooms!

They are introverted. They like quiet places and do not like to be around many people. They answer briefly and monosyllabically, and prefer to remain silent unless the topic of conversation is mushrooms. They appreciate and respect those who accept their hobby, and may even give something as a gift just like that. After all, they are magos, and can do many things besides their specialization. They especially value their retinue, because they do not want strangers around them, even if they are loyal.

Much as I love admech a lot of their designs make zero sense to me. Wtf are all these tubes and where are they going? How do they turn their heads? Earlier today while looking up refs I saw one had a tube go from his mouth to the side of his head. My brother in Omnissiah, did you get that done at Space Claire's?
