Viny Mathias – IGN. 07 jan 2025 Sistema de baterias criador por Glubux I already produce a part of the electricity that I need. I have 1.4 kw…

META IS POPULATING THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA WITH AI BOTS POSING AS CREATORS, OVERWHELMINGLY BLACK WOMEN
Dead Internet theory coming live in front of our very eyes, Meta is now creating fake accounts using AI, that you cannot even block. These accounts pose as creators of some sort and are almost always black women. Nobody has any idea why they're doing it, but few plausible theories I have seen is to promise engagement with "content creators" to drive people to click and interact with their website or to be able to funnel away money from real content creator from minority groups into the hands of white techbros. It is especially vile they use almost entierly images of black women, as talking about authentic female and POC experience on their platforms is HEAVILY censored with shadowbans and burying of psots, so this feels exceptionally scummy, trying to replace real people speaking their truth with an AI that will say what white techbro wants it to, while pretending to be very people it replaced.
Before anyone tries to claim this is a "dude trust me" source: Forbes, Firstpost, Siliconangle, Techspot, Intelligencer, Deccan Chronicle, Social Media Today, Futurism, Rolling Stone
Tagging @mostlysignssomeportents in (very slight) case he didn't seen it already

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy: Trump’s Tariffs Have Not Impacted Prices or Consumer Demand
Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassy has revealed that the company has not seen significant changes in average selling prices or consumer spending habits based on Donald Trump’s tariff policy. His statements at Amazon’s annual shareholder meeting serves as another nail in the coffin for warnings of economic doom spouted by hysterical Trump haters.
TechSpot reports that in a recent Q&A session at Amazon’s annual shareholder meeting, CEO Andy Jassy addressed growing concerns over how the Trump administration’s tariffs on Chinese imports could affect the e-commerce giant’s business. Jassy stated that, in contrast to warnings from retailers like Walmart and Target about imminent price hikes, Amazon has neither experienced notable increases in average selling prices nor observed any decline in consumer demand.
We have not seen any attenuation of demand at this point,” Jassy reported to shareholders. “We also haven’t yet seen any meaningful average selling price increases.”

[2407.09717] Deep-TEMPEST: Using Deep Learning to Eavesdrop on HDMI from its Unintended Electromagnetic Emanations https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.09717 Security researchers reveal it is possible to eavesdrop on HDMI cables to capture computer screen data https://techxplore.com/news/2024-07-reveal-eavesdrop-hdmi-cables-capture.html AI can see what's on your screen by reading HDMI electromagnetic radiation | TechSpot https://www.techspot.com/news/104015-ai-can-see-what-screen-reading-hdmi-electromagnetic.html Demo of deep-TEMPEST - YouTube

I’m reblogging to clear up something.
The stuff about the blu-ray DRM is not correct. The DRM prevents you from downloading and ripping the discs onto your computer. The digital code that comes with a lot of modern discs are not for download, they’re for streaming which is dumb and cringe. I throw that shit out because it useless and defeats the point of buying a disc. However, you can still watch the physical disc on a player or on your computer off-line. It would be counterintuitive to sell a disc that can only be used online, but gaming is going down that route so… 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
As for movies, if the discs were online only NO ONE would buy them. Too many dvd/blu ray players are offline for that to be a wise decision on the maker’s and the seller’s ends. I have an old player and my dvds and blu rays play just fine. However, if you want to backup your collection digitally, the DRM prevents that which sucks for preservation (which is what I think nyancrimew was trying to say.) You can lose or break your disc and if that happens, you wouldn’t have a backup. It sucks. Streaming sucks in general. Piracy is perfectly fine, moral, and just imo.
I just wanted to clear that up.
Adding a little update. 4K ultra hd blu rays do have DRM that is not compatible with some newer computers. The problem stems from the chips on the computer. Link below.
My advice: get a player. Normal blu ray players are pretty cheap now and you can find a bunch of them in thrift stores. Don’t get 4k hd blu rays. You’ll need a different (pricier) player for those and they’re not worth it tbh. You do not need online access to watch blu rays, dvds, or 4K hds. Just the player and a tv :)
People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.
For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.
The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
#I know this is strange for my blog#I needed to clear this up#look stuff up before you say shit#don’t spread misinformation
