Social-Emotional Checklist for Age Regressors

This checklist can help you figure out a specific age that you, an OC, or your little one regress to, based on how they communicate, express emotions, interact with their caregivers, and socialize with other littles.

To complete it, highlight or check off any of the descriptions that apply to you or your little one. If you highlight ALL or the vast majority of the traits in one category, then your little is OLDER than that and is past that phase. If you highlight about HALF of the descriptions, then that is exactly where your little one is at when regressed. If nothing in that category applies to your little one, they are younger than that given age. Some littles may have a mix of multiple developmental ages, especially if they're neurodivergent, and that's okay!

I'm gonna do this for my age-regressing OC Rhea, and feel free to copy/paste this wherever you'd like, or just use it for your own reference! [original source]

You'll see that for Rhea, I could check off almost everything in the infant category. She has her favorite caregiver, she's anxious around strangers, and she's aware of other people's emotions and tries to respond!

Once I got to the toddler category however, things got a little more shaky. She throws tantrums and has some complexity to her emotions, however she's not playing with peers at all and doesn't care for pretend play. Once I reached the gradeschool level, nothing really applied to her so I stopped there.

This tells me that Rhea is about 2 years old, although this can shift a bit because age regression has its own natural ebbs and flows. Try it out with yourself or your little one, and see if it helps you understand them or help them out a little bit better!

Infants and babies

By 2 months

• Cry to get needs met ✅️

• Occasionally self-soothe by sucking on hands and fingers ✅️

By 4 months

• May complain about friendships and other kids’ reactions

• Try to express feelings with words, but may resort to aggression when upset

Ages 9–10 years

• Share secrets and jokes with friends

• May start to develop own identity by withdrawing from family activities and conversations

• Are affectionate, silly, and curious, but can also be selfish, rude, and argumentative

Middle-schoolers and high-schoolers

Ages 11–15 years

• Start thinking more logically

• Are introspective and moody and need privacy

• Value friends’ and others’ opinions more and more

• May test out new ideas, clothing styles, and mannerisms while figuring out where/how to fit in

Ages 16–18 years

• Strive to be independent and may start emotionally distancing from caregivers

• Start trying to discover strengths and weaknesses, at times seeming self-centered, impulsive, or moody

• Show pride in successes

• Spend a lot of time with friends and may be interested in dating

Caregiver!Rougefort Cookie Headcanons

As a general baseline, Rougefort Cookie is still the all famous Phantom Bleu—and sometimes can't be there to care for Almond. But, in-between their heist's, they always make time for him! Because Almond Cookie is more precious than any jewel on the market. A priceless addition, if you will.

• One day Almond Cookie was extremely overworked, and hadn't slept in day's. Because of this, he started to have a breakdown in the alleyway from stress: along with other thing's. Rougefort was the one who found him, and was the one to tell Almond what age regression was in the first place since he had no idea.

• They are a very charismatic caregiver, and spoil Almond rotten--which he usually scolds Rougefort for since all of the item's are stolen and completely impractical other than for decoration. He does keep all of them, though. He just can't get himself to turn them into the police.

• Cook's for Almond, and brings him lunch even when he's not regressed since he doesn't eat much--if at all. If Rougefort isn't reminding him, he probably isn't eating that day, just downing coffee while he works/is regressed.

• Has turned other criminals in anonymously more than once as a way to lighten Almond's work load. Has also tipped into HR (Human Resources), to ensure workplace treatment is at least okay for Almond.

• Rougefort sometimes break's into Almond's house just to clean it, they don't steal anything, other than making a sandwich or two for the road. Almond always knows because they don't put the bread clip's back on.

Regressor!Almond Cookie Headcanons

As a general baseline, Almond Cookie is still a workaholic and coffee addict when regressed. He generally work's well when regressed --and people usually don't notice anything other than more complaining from him. Since he's a teen regressor, he doesn't really need the supervision like a kid or baby regressor would: so he's usually just doing his own thing, taking care of his daughter, or sleeping.

• Regresses from 15-17, more or less depending on sleep schedule and health overall. And yes, he can drive!

• Overall he's very quiet about his regression, and sometimes doesn't even realize he's doing it--Rougefort knows what to look for, though.

• He won't admit it, but he's very thankful for Rougefort finding him that night—even if it was embarrassingly pathetic in his opinion.

• When he's too sick to get out of bed, Rougefort will take care of him. He has no idea why their so courteous, so kind to him- their getting no gem's or jewel's out of it. Their a thief! Not some..caretaker! But he's not about to complain.

• Forgets to eat/sleep, Rougefort manages that for him sometimes. Almond always refuses the help, "he doesn't need it"—he say's, but he knows Rougefort is actually making a positive impact on him. Part of him loathes it, but a bigger part of him likes it.

• Doesn't really use pacifiers and the like, but does have a heating pad and some weighted blankets for overall use.

• Walnut Cookie has absolutely no idea about his regression, and probably never will. He plans to keep that a secret with the mysterious Phantom Bleu. After all, not just any detective can catch them! 💎

i wish teen regression was talked about more in the community.

as someone who’s bodily 20, i do find myself regressing to ages like 13-15, though rarely, which is why i consider my cutoff to be 12 most of the time.

but it DOES happen. i’ve never met another teen regressor in my life. i feel alone sometimes. a lot of people aren’t even aware that teenspace is a thing, which goes to show that we need more representation for it in this community.

I also wanted to ask something of the community. I started here as a little that ranged in a headspace ages to 2-8. And I also think in a bit of an older regressor to. Like small but big enough to care for others.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wanna be a Caregiver too! Even if I'm regressed. I feel like it's be a more, Big Sibling, than anything. So if you all are okays with me being you Big Sibling (and sometimes little sibling) then that be great!

regressor! wasabi and caregiver! dr bones headcanons if you wish to accept?

Regressor!Wasabi Cookie Headcanons

As a general baseline, Wasabi Cookie is still as unhinged as ever, which can be a very...concerning thing for Dr Bones to deal with despite her brilliance as a scientist———firey breakthroughs, and unorthodox methods. From her outlandish experiments to her reckless abandon; she can be quite the handful! This, however, does not mean she isn't loved. Quite the opposite, actually.

CW: some body horror & limb detachment mentions at the bottom! Nothing explicit, but be warned.

• Regresses from 19-17, very fluid in sliding. Wasabi isn't very secretive about her regression, in fact she's quite shameless; but Cookie's have yet to ask her about it - Mustard included. So it's a secret but not really.

• Wasabi Cookie makes her own food, usually..mainly because her diet is extremely questionable (and potentially dangerous). Which always puts Dr Bone's into a kahoot. She's been permanently banned from using the oven.

• When Wasabi drives, she's very prone to speeding —even out of regression because she has no care for traffic laws, so Dr Bone's drives or lends her a bike.

• Has been feeding a small colony of cat's, and managed to get them all microchipped and constructed them an outdoor cat house that connect's to her house. So now there's just 5 or 6 cat's encouraging her shenanigans and rubbing against Dr Bone's leg's.

• Knows how to play the electric guitar, does so frequently. She can also play the flute, but most don't believe her on that one—despite the giant flute case in her laboratory. A lot of Cookie's assume it's a bomb. Which is understandable considering Wasabi's history with explosives. She does actually really enjoy playing though, and is really good at it. She finds it relaxing.

• Wasabi's love language is psychical touch and quality time; just co-existing with Dr Bone's or doing parallel play with him is enough for her. Though that doesn't mean she isn't a fan of cuddles! Quite on the contrary, actually, she's pretty clingy when she isn't doing experiments.

• Very gentle with Dr Bone's, and actually has a fear of one of his limbs just.. popping off in her hand. Or him disassembling because he doesn't have dough. This has yet to happen, thankfully.

Caregiver!Dr Bone's Cookie Headcanons

As a general baseline, Dr Bone's Cookie is a very caring, excitable, and passionate caregiver. Though, he can sometimes get over the top, or even helicopter esc...Wasabi helps him regulate, just not with his anxiety. Dr Bone's love's her very much; but she can be very unhinged when she wants to be. No matter what, though, Wasabi is very healthy!

• Dr Bone's Cookie frequently work's overtime or double-shifts to ensure his patients safety and well-being (he really doesn't need to do that most of the time), so by the time he gets home he's absolutely exhausted. He can't count the amount of times he's fallen asleep at his desk and woken up in bed.

• Likes to listen to Wasabi play the guitar —he finds it impressive and soothing. Same with the flute! He's never been one to play any instruments; but is overall curious on the topic.

• Is very afraid of explosives, which doesn't really par well with Wasabi's culminating interest in them. Has jumped into her arm's more than once out of terror.

• Wasabi bought Dr Bone's Spotify Premium for his birthday, he absolutely loves it. On that note, Wasabi introduced Dr Bone's to the punk and rock scene—he absolutely adores the band's Eyes Set To Kill and Eths. His favorite songs from them are Liar in the Glass and Crucifère.

• Despite his spooky appearance, Dr Bone's doesn't dress up for Halloween. The same cannot be said for Wasabi, however, as she has won at least 40+ costume contests in her lifetime.

• Dr Bone's is extremely afraid of spider's, Wasabi is the saving grace that set's then outside or keeps them as pets.

• Enjoys playing chess with Wasabi, he hasn't won once against her and he still doesn't know how (she's been eating the pieces when he isn't looking). /ref /nsrs
