During my rewatch, I've noticed that Danny hears everything Scott and Stiles say at school. No wonder he knows about werewolves, he literally gets a front row seat to all the weird shit that happens in Beacon Hills.

somewhere in my first rewatch of teen wolf, i find myself rooting for sciles, above all. i'm not even entirely sure if it's as a ship but i just know that they're meant to be together bc they're written as soulmates. no matter which girl or guy (see: scott and isaac. why did i not realize how charged their interactions were.) they're with/meant to end up with, everything just comes back to them. scott and stiles. stiles and scott. and honestly, it would've been so cool to see them both say screw it and end up together bc there's definitely this cute kind of puppy love aspect on scott's side (esp in the later seasons) that would've been so interesting to explore

Derek wanted to adopt Scott into his family, instead, Scott adopted him and it was so much better. Now Derek is Scott’s biggest fan and I’m here for it.

So in my rewatch, we see Gerard punch Stiles a few times when he had abducted Stiles. Was it ever implied Gerard did more? Like I can't imagine a total dickhead like him only punching Stiles a few times and then letting him go.

And why did he let Stiles go after that short amount of time? I think it would have been more in character for him to end up putting Stiles in the hospital. I also wish we saw more people freaking out over the marks Stiles does get from Gerard.

We see his dad freak out, which was good, but all Scott did was give a look, Stiles making a joke, and then that's it. Like no one says anything and I just don't feel like that's in character for any of them.

I know even Derek would have flipped his lid seeing it after everything calmed down. Or maybe even during the moment because at that point we know Derek cares about him. They are friends at this point even though they both try to act like they can barely tolerate each other.

I dunno... I just feel like we could have seen more bonding in all this, more taking care of each other. What are y'all's thoughts?

The Teen Wolf movie’s lack of context to the Derek & Sheriff Stilinski relationship is a travesty because you know this man helped Derek Hale raise his son.

You can feel the history in their shared frustration over Eli’s fixation with the jeep. You see how easily either of them show up when the other calls for back up. Sheriff didn't hesitate to be the bad cop and threaten Derek’s son so Eli would cut Derek some slack. Stiles’ father was there to help Derek figure out how to be a good parent, I have no doubt he showed up a few times to the house on his days off to babysit. And I know Derek has called the Sheriff at the station over the smallest emergencies. In the process Derek found himself growing fond of Stilinski, even seeing him as a father figure. Surely he enjoyed how much it drove Stiles up the wall when his dad called to talk not about the FBI, but how amazing Derek was doing with Eli. I can almost hear the frustration in Stiles voice as he realizes Derek Hale is trying to replace him, maybe to spite him. Definitely to spite him.

Derek and Argent had an understanding. Derek and Stiles put aside their differences to save each other over and over. But when Derek needed someone, the one man left to protect Beacon Hills stepped in to help the big scary werewolf without hesitation. Sheriff Stilinski never forgot about the young Hale boy who lost everything, even when that boy jeopardized his son’s life. He knew Derek needed a parent to show him the ropes. He also knew how hard it was to raise Stiles as a widowed father, and one look at Eli told him Derek couldn't do this alone, not like he had. Claudia would want her husband to help Derek, to put aside their differences, and be there for each other. And he was there to defend Derek after he was gone, to ensure Eli knew just what kind of father he had. The film’s ending aside, I know Eli wound up in the Sheriff’s care, staying in Stiles’ old bedroom because there was no way that man wasn’t seeing what he started through for Derek’s sake.

This Sterek-adjacent dynamic is everything, and it hurts that we will never get the Hale spin-off these two deserve because, wow the emotional subcontext that carries through those 15 unspoken years is too much.

Rewatching Teen Wolf 1x02. It was at the part where Scott’s chasing Stiles in the locker room, and my 6 year old turned away from the TV because she was worried about Stiles.

Me: you know Stiles is going to be okay

6 yr old: Yeah, I know. Stiles is always okay.

Me: Yup

6: Except when he's in a bad mood. Then, he's not okay

Me: *knowing she's thinking of 'bad mood' from Bluey, i just started giggling*

Me: You mean Void Stiles? Yeah, he's like Bad Mood Stiles

6: Yup! He has the power to become mean!

Finally into the last season of Teen Wolf, I'm still losing track of which newer young white twink is which. They definitely started casting to a very specific aesthetic, huh?

Notice that Scott Cinnamon Roll McCall was not healing because of guilt and sadness. Natural alpha Scott over here dying because feelings are really hard.

How can anyone hate him??? He has bad moments because he’s a kid and we all do. But, the vast majority of the times Scott is too good for this world. Specifically the world of Teen Wolf, but definitely too good for our shitty messed up world.
