THE RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY
Red Bull Music Academy returns to Sónar Reykjavík for the third consecutive year, hosting its own stage, SonarComplex boasting a hand-picked selection of trailblazing talent, many of them alumni of previous Academy editions–a mixture of local and international talent.  Academy alumnus and hip-hop veteran Oddisee, techno genius Dominick Fernow under his Vatican Shadow guise, as well as Pan Daijing, Marie Davidson and Johan Carøe – the most recent grads from the acclaimed Red Bull Music Academy in Montréal.
Representing Iceland’s electrifying music scene, SonarComplex will feature the debut solo performance of Örvar Smárason from múm and FM Belfast, new hip-hop wunderkinds HRNNR x Smjörvi and electronic master composer SiGRÚN amongst many others.

Sónar Festival Announces Istanbul & Hong Kong Debuts, Return to Reykjavik
Sónar Festival is the jewel of Barcelona, a three-day gathering of great technologically-leaning musical minds that makes its happy return to its Spanish homeland June 15 to 17, 2017. However, in recent years, the Sónar brand has been expanding, spreading its celebration of creativity in technology to fans all over the world.
Come February 16 to 18, Sónar returns to Reykjavik, Iceland, for its fifth edition with performances from Fatboy Slim, Moderat, De La Soul, Blawan, and more.
Sónar still has wandering feet, though, so its pushing its frontier ever further for first-time appearances in Istanbul, March 24 and 25, and Hong Kong for one day on April 1. Both lineups feature performances from Kode9, Nosaj Thing, and more. Tickets for Hong Kong are now open to the public. Check the full lineups for all three international Sónar editions below.

Hérna er lag sem ég bjó til mestmegnis á svölum á 8. hæð á íbúðarblokk sem snéri að sjónum við strönd Kuwait City, í heimsókn hjá pabba í apríl eða mai árið 2010. Ég var nýhættur í sambandi og frekar dapur, eins og heyrist sennilega í laginu. 
Lagið byggir á hljóðbút úr lagi Hljóma, Ástarsæla, sem hann Engilbert syngur. Ótrúleg rödd.

This is a song I made on the balcony of an 7th floor apartment facing the beach of Kuwait City, visiting my dad in the spring of 2010. I'd just left a relationship, I was a bit sad, I think you can hear it.
The song samples an icelandic song from the 60's, "Ástarsæla". What a lovely voice.
