Same capable grace. Though he was slightly afraid of her from what he had read of Stefan Salvatores diary and Damon Salvatore’s occasional visits to the school. It unnerved him to try to be good enough for a tight knit wonder of a family like the Mikealsons. He didn’t even know why Hope had liked him. Alaric being kind almost made him snort. It often felt like the students were running this school instead of the old headmaster though he showed him respect. Not many adults stuck around for him. Her slight change in expression and countenance at the word ‘lovesick aunt’. Sometimes, his mouth shot out without him. Although, he had gained Elijah’s approval. Sort of Klaus’s considering how he had watched them attempt dancing as languid beings. “ No offense, but being an original and- looking like a reniassance painting. I am surprise you don’t have some sort of fan club. Hope is actually more nerdy than she would like to admit though she would murder me for saying so. We have a dnd team and our making our own sort of comic book. I am not- I know I am not what you all expected or wanted for her. But I have never met someone with such a beautiful soul. Falling for Hope is like reading a book. Knowing and loving someone’s brains and souls in lieu of pretty packaging or sensitivity. miscellaneous notes.

→    one of her best friends and one of her main support systems is stefan salvatore, a healer who she’s known since she was a kid. he’s the main reason she has excellent control over her abilities and he’s pretty much her rock in life.  →   when she was around 17, she got involved with stefan’s brother damon, another more powerful heartrender who was several years older than her. he is/was especially skilled in influencing emotions and easily manipulated her to get information on his brother’s relationship with her friend elena. it only lasted a few weeks, but since then she tends to avoid influencing people’s emotions as much as possible, just because she knows how traumatic it can be. →    affiliated loosely with the second army, but doesn’t want to fight in the war. she just figures it’s safer there than it is anywhere else and the literal last thing she wants is to be captured.  →   she’s strong. and she’s a good study. and she won’t be content with just what they learn during lessons, so she’s a lot more adjusted to and skilled with her abilities than she lets on. but she knows there’s a bit of an advantage to being underestimated, so she’ll play up the “pretty, helpless, shallow, blonde nuisance” card to her advantage. →   fled to ketterdam after the ravkan civil war, makes a little money here and there taking odd jobs but is against doing anything that will seriously injure or kill someone. unless the situation calls for it. →   her father ( william ) while not directly affiliated with the drüskelle, maintains a lot of the same beliefs that they do and likely did some work with their soldiers to develop ways to "condition” grisha. has known about caroline being sent to the little palace since she went when she was around 7 but has been unable to reach her since then. finds her again after the civil war, takes her, tortures her a bit in an attempt to condition the grisha out of her. she escapes with the help of a friend.

baghra.   probably the person she attaches to first when her real training begins. she likes her for her no-nonsense attitude and unapologetic strength. if push comes to shove and someone is giving orders to follow, she’ll follow baghra’s first, consequences be damned.

stefan.   corporalki healer ,  best friend and central part of her support system. previously dated elena. she’s had a crush on him since she was little but they’ve never been anything more.

elena.   corporalki healer ,  best friend since she was little, got tested at the same time and moved to the little palace together along with bonnie. taught her some healer abilities.

bonnie.   etherealki inferni. best friend since she was little, got tested together at the same time and moved to the little palace together along with elena. literally her rock and a very powerful inferni.

damon.   corporalki heartrender, specialty with manipulating emotions and the mind. stefan’s estranged older brother. her “ex,” manipulated her when she was around 17 to get closer to elena and find out more about him and stefan. currently probably has a thing with elena, is one of bonnie’s closest friends. 90% of the reason caroline is too wary of using her abilities to their full extent.
