Modern AU Regressor gamer!Childe and CG!Zhongli for anon

Childe often regresses to a slightly older age, around 9-12

As such he needs older entertainment and is allowed to use the computer (monitored of course)

So, he plays a lot of video games! 

First person shooters are his favorite, but Zhongli has him avoid the gory ones while regressed

TF2 is a common one, but minecraft and Roblox are also popular choices!

Zhongli will watch him play, occasionally joining

This man is terrible at video games but he tries

Childe just laughs and keeps killing him 

Voice chats are Childes worst enemy

He gets too excited and ends up swearing

Those sessions usually end with Childe pouting in the timeout corner

Therefore, many creative swear replacements are created during gameplay

He may not be able to say the f-word, but there are no rules against calling someone a bent paperclip! 

Childe is a very high energy regressor, so video games are good to keep him entertained when they can't play outside or Zhongli just needs to rest his old man bones

Childe also enjoys just talking Zhonglis ear off about the game while he plays 

"Papa, papa look! This is a rocket jump!! Isnt it cool?"

"Oh, thats very cool Childe. How do you do that?"

"Well you have to be using soldier, and-!"

Overall it's great bonding! 

Zhongli learns about the things Childe likes, and Childe gets to kick his butt

doing some hcs! i divided it into three parts bc i think he acts differently with different age groups of littles

warnings: talks of crying/tantrums, one mention of death, one mention of fighting, use of "big brother"

(0-2) babyspace

literally the definition of "fake it till you make it", since scout's usually the youngest of whatever group he's in (whether that be the mercs or his family), he's never had to take care of a baby before

holds you pretty awkwardly but surprisingly safe because he's scared of dropping you

will try to talk to you and expect answers until he remembers you're a baby

"so, uh, what kinda games you wanna play?" "ah?" "oh, yeah, nevermind."

gives you random objects to teeth/drool on like clean socks and spoons from the kitchen

usually doesn't like to ask for help, but if you wear diaps, he will 100% go to spy or engie and hold you up like a wet little cat and ask "help how do i change this thing"

weirdly likes making bottles. thinks it's relaxing to fill it up and feed you

favorite thing is to make you laugh. he'll do the thingy wear he tears paper to make you squeal and giggle. hearing you laugh makes him laugh

literally the only time scout has any patience is when he's taking care of you

tries putting you down for a nap and ends up sleeping with you because he doesn't want to leave you

good at calming you down when you cry

"shh, kid, it's okay, big brother's right here"

(3-4) toddlers

he enjoys that you're able to talk with him because all he does is talk

will tell you jokes and you usually don't get the punchline because it's something tom jones or death related

eats your snacks with you. like straight up steals handfuls of cheerios and yogurt bites off your table, he thinks they're delicious

tries to sneak bonk! into your sippy cup and gets yelled at by the other mercs later when you won't take a nap

tries to pay attention to you but always gets distracted, loses you very easily. by the time scout turns around, you're halfway down the other side of the hallway

makes a very poor attempt to teach you baseball, but it usually just devolves into a clumsy game of catch instead

if you won't eat, he either does "here comes the airplane!" or pretends to eat your food to make you jealous

calls his mom when you won't behave, "hey ma, how did ya deal with me when i was a kid?"

thinks it's hilarious to tickle you, will bring out the tickle monster

has a hard time trying to deal with tantrums, usually tries the distraction method of presenting toys to you. if you're really sobbing, he'll wait it out because he doesn't want to upset you further

(5+) kiddos

he's weirdly a lot more chill the older you are in regression, he feels he needs to have rules and guidelines for the littles, but if you're more of a kid, then he is laidback

huge arts and crafts kinda guy, since he likes doodling himself, it's very easy for the two of you to spend an afternoon just scribbling and coloring

you will probably spend more time outside than inside, tbh. he'll bring out balls and chalk and bubbles, anything you want to keep you entertained

will come up with a secret handshake with you (that both of you will forget within the hour and make up a new one)

so many cartoons. he likes watching them anyways so it's a no-brainer for babysitting

if you play with dolls, scout will make them fight each other

loves loves loves games, from hide and seek to the floor is lava to even just counting, he will make everything into a competition

he'll let you win on purpose though because it makes him happy to see you happy

"i can't believe you beat me again, toots! you gotta give your big brother a chance next time, yeah?"

will let you give him a makeover! if you have makeup, he'll use it, but usually it's just acrylic paint or washable markers because no one else at the base owns makeup

lets you stay up way past your bedtime, especially when it's movie night

holds dance parties in the common area oh yeah !!! they typically end up in scout trying to dance battle

older sibling caregiver!sniper moodboard

↱ takes you with him for errands and outings, makes you sweet treats since he has a sweet tooth of his own, takes you to shoot arrows and loves teaching you about it, thinks guns are too violent for his little sibling no matter how much he himself likes them, does your hair for you (and you can do his too), lets you spend all day in his van with him whenever he has time off work, takes you to the park to look for bugs, goes swimming and fishing with you on hot days, enjoys taking you out deep in nature to help you have an appreciation for it, teaches you survival tricks like how to start a fire and find safe water, can be stand-offish and struggles to socialize but still shows you affection through his actions and thoughtful shows of care

Little! Sniper: a collection of strange habits

Sniper tends stare at the other mercs if they walk past him. He might do this out of his instinct but we’re not quite sure.

He likes to hide in random places. Not because he’s scared or anything, just for fun.

Once stole one of Engi’s wrenches to chew on??

Often points out any animal he sees and won’t move on from it until someone acknowledges it

Used to have a necklace made of various bones, primarily teeth. It was confiscated because he kept gnawing on it.

He likes to drink coffee in his sippy cup (tell no one)

Haven't really seen much for little!Heavy so how about him realizing he regresses?

Heavy sat in medbay waiting for Medic. As he looked around, he noticed the tub of toys Medic kept for when regressors came down to medbay. Curious, he pulled it out. He always wondered how some of the toys worked. Eventually he found himself playing with the baby toys. If anyone asked, he was just bored and curious! He was having genuine fun though. It wasn't until Medic came back that he realized he had his finger in his mouth.

"Heavy?" Medic asked. Heavy froze. Oh no. He wasn't supposed to play with the toys, was he? Heavy whined. Medic ran over.

"Hey...hey...it's ok..."

"Wasn' pose ta..."

"Wasn't supposed to what?"

"Da toys..."

"You can play with them!" Heavy paused for a moment. He was regressed. He was an age regresser.

"C'n pway?" Heavy asked.

"Of course you can!" Heavy smiled. He was having fun.

So uh, hallo? I know this is a little confusing but.. I'm the Nurse. In a different universe I'm actually the son of Medic. I thought it'd be nice to introduce myself. N-No need to worry about me judging any of you! I'm a caregiver to my friend Archer!

(Engineer blinks, staring at the man at their doorstep for a moment*

Engineer: "i see.. Well, you can come in if ya want, just mind the toys"

(he opens the door a bit, still eyeing it but more due to not knowing if hes trustable. Inside the main area is scout and soldier, soldier chewing on a plush and scout playing with some cars, toys are scattered about but seem to be mostly in one area, and engineer makes sure to push them away from the walkway towards the hall and kitchen)

baby's first ask!!! every1 always focuses on medic's literal medical aspects of his traits, but i like to think of him as a soft little nerd so here's some hc i have !! (+ a little blurb at the end expanding on one of them)

warnings: mention of an autopsy, mentions of bones, use of "papa"

this is so long btw i got carried away

despite a lot of hcs i see that medic is a huge poor meow meow, i do actually think he is more on the stern side when it comes to being a cg!

has rules for you to follow, and if you're a little older in your regression (4+) he may expect you to be able to clean up toys, use manners, etc.

likes to be called papa (because he is german) but if you don't like that then he also enjoys being called "doctor"

tbh i think he cares more about you getting not hurt for the emotional aspect instead of the physical. he knows he could heal you up with the medigun whenever he wants, he just doesn't need his baby to feel the pain if he can prevent it

reads so many books (this man is a huge dweeb ik) and really likes relaxing by sitting you on his lap and reading stories to you. will do all the funny voices, too

very into touching your face?? since so much of his life is spent focusing on other's body parts i think he's grown to love the features of those he adores because he's able to study them

will let you color in old reports and pictures of x-rays/autopsies he's done (censored, of course) and has a special folder for them

very big teacher. will teach you your own bone names, how many you have, and if you're on the older side he may even attempt to teach you cpr or quiz you on the things he teaches. he thinks it's important to know your body.

he knows he is very busy :( so he has a special corner in the medbay for you! little table for you to sit at, a crib if you're extra tiny, a bookshelf and everything! i imagine it's a bit like the kiddie corners they have at libraries for those who want to read and relax

does not trust a lot of the other mercs to babysit for you (because he has a lot to do and can't always watch you). engineer and heavy are the only main ones, though he does surprisingly trust spy enough to keep an eye on you

speaking of which, NO SCOUT !! he gets so worried about you so easily that he has a silly rule that scout can only hang with you if there is at least one responsible adult around

will play toys with you, and actually prefers it! he thinks that the engagement is nice and spending time with you in a way you enjoy is important to him.

huge on physical touch. he doesn't really like wearing his gloves when he touches you because it makes him feel disconnected from you, like you're a patient. will do the old man thing where he pinches your cheeks and pretends to eat you

lets you sit on his lap whenever he's just doing paperwork or hanging out. surprisingly clingy toward you but its cute!

"Alright, liebling. Now, do you remember how many bones are in that tiny body of yours?" Medic asks, poking a finger at your tummy. You giggle, looking upwards as you think.

"Two hundred.. two hundred and..." you trail off, unable to remember. You frown for a second. What did Papa tell you last time?

Smiling, he leans over from his sitting spot to whisper in your ear. "Two hundred six!" you shout, proud of yourself for giving the right answer, even if he helped.

"Very good, schatz!" he claps for you, your face breaking into a grin. Medic pulls out a piece of paper from behind him, and a pack of crayons. You squeal as he sets them down in front of you.

"Let's play a game," he starts. "Papa will point out a part of this body, and if you get it right, you may color it in. How does that sound?" When you nod frantically in response, he leads his finger to a part on the bottom half. "What's this?"

"Leg." you smile and grab a green crayon, excited to win your game.

↱ rambunctious as he was as a kid, obsessed with baseball more than he typically is, big foodie when regressed, comfort eats mainly fastfood, regresses a lot without fully realizing whenever he visits home or sees his family for holidays, loves brightly coloured toys but is often too embarrassed to buy himself toys at all, puts bandages on himself even when not injured because it reminds him of being scraped up as a kid, crashes and regresses hard after difficult battles or missions, attached to motherly caregivers, loves outdoor activities like rollerskating and playing sports, tries to get into fights and is very childishly reckless, goes through photos of his big family and shows them off to his caregiver while rambling about his best memories and 'coolest moments', very lovey-dovey kid that gets clingy and emotional if his caregiver can't be with him

Is TF2 an appropriate media for a 3-7 year old? No, probably not.

But do I think that having the whole team as my CG's/playmates would fix me? Yeah...
