help there's so much codegold on my dash all of a sudden im actually going to cry /vneg

like i saw fanart of codegold and the art style was actually so cool (it was lineless and im a sucker for lineless art) but it was CODEGOLD. Pleasesllelelsels ssonnoooooooo sotptptpp

coming from someone with 44 ships in this fandom alone (/srs, i counted; 39 excluding joke ships like khoor), i'm usually the voice of reason when it comes to shipping. you like nuzi??? omg dude same!!! let's be besties!!! you like juzi? stuffing you in a wedding suit/dress and whisking you off with me into the sunset in my convertable!!!! you like vhad? awesome sauce!!! kissing you rn!!! like even the few non-problematic ships i don't like - smokeybat, vessa - i'm all for you liking them! what makes other people happy makes me happy :3

but when it comes to proships and comshipping (or ships like n x cyn, n x tessa, and n x j that are their own special catagory as canon can be muffled and the viewer's interpretation and headcanons are what we mostly have to go off of), i will set my boundaries, wish you a nice life, and block you. no hard feelings (i'm not one to hold a grudge), i just can't deal with that, especially as i am mentally ill and am a pushover.

and being a pushover (ex i was bribed into shipping vhad and went from despising noll to shipping it religiously), having fanart and arguments for codegold is obviously something i can't have on my dash.

i don't know where i was going with this i kinda just splurted my thoughts everywhere im sorry (/gen) just generally if you see this and you're a proshipper, comshipper, or ship codegold/n x tessa/cyn x n, block me please and dni

Hey everyone! Its the final 50 minutes of the moments before the premiere so I wanted to post this in tribute to an awesome show that has completely started to change my life!

Back in 2021-2022, I had gotten the Pilot of the show on my FYP SOOOOO many times I can't even count it anymore, and I was SO busy with the Dream SMP, and the stress of trying to completely put art behind me as a potential career due to family abuse that I felt so numb in life. I had been forced into things for money by my caretakers and they only saw my art as a way they could leach off of me and make money, so I was in a state of depression and freeze mode!

Then at the beginning of 2023 I finally caved in and watched pilot, and I was in love with the show the characters, the world! Then I watched Episode 2 and 3 and fell even more in love! I started to draw again and I started to get out of that depression! I started to make friends, join projects, become creative again and be genuinely happier! I moved away from toxic family, and harnessed my creativity instead of them crapping on it and trying to keep me trapped. I made Murder Drones Absolutely, Murder Drones Totality and now Absolutely is getting a series (all which Im still going to to be working on)! I've learned and improved on my art so much and became better and happier as a person!

I have a feeling this show changed the trajectory of my life in so many ways that I can't even understand yet, and I know it sounds cheesy, but thankyou for being that change to I needed Murder Drones, and thankyou to Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions for making this awesome show!

To the future of indie animation everybody! <3

I generally don't like engaging in ships that have such a power dynamic that "canon" CodeGold would have. Having an abuser date their victim just...makes my stomach churn and my skin crawl. I have dabbled in Juzi and PurpleMalice, but in those, both sides are biting. For how many people portray toxic CodeGold, it's just J yelling and hitting N while he tries to be nice for her, which brings me nothing but misery instead of joy.

the exact reason for me not engaging with abusive CodeGold is that, while like you said it's fake, just like all other forms of proshipping it can mold people's views of relationships. It can desensitize them to abuse and possibly make them think it's okay if their partner abuses them, or they abuse their partner. This, pretty obviously, is horrible and why I don't support proshipping. I know someone's gonna be like "Why do you support CodeGold then?" Again, only non-abusive versions where J is at most a tsundere during the actual relationship and prior to it. Saying she doesn't like him or spitting harsh words but not meaning it, kinda like how a certain purple worker drone is portrayed in some fics (I still think Nuzi is infinitely more wholesome though, don't worry. CodeGold very much only makes up 1% of my shipping, 99% of my other shipping stuff is in-line with a lot of other MD multishippers, mainly because I consider most other ships like Nuzi, Nuziv, Vhad, Jhad, Dizzy, etc, to be much more interesting and engaging than CodeGold). There are actually ways to write it to not be a proship unlike something like some forbidden ship I will not say since I don't want to subject you all to it, I'll just say reddit is a big fan of making jokes about it from what I've heard (c'mon redditors, get it together)

with all that being said, I will once again reiterate I do not enjoy CodeGold with such a skewed power dynamic. Nor do I like interpretations where N likes getting stepped on, I know it can be funny to say he enjoyed it in the pilot because he says thank you, but if you actually put any thought into it it's clearly because his self worth has been crushed to this point which is...quite sad.

This lil drawing shows who gets switched up with who!

This au started when I just thought of Uzi getting switched with N, the visual of murder drone Uzi just didn't get out of my head but then the ball kept rolling ! V witches with Thad while Lizzy switches with J. Ofc i had to think of CYN then and well Doll was still on the table :]

The idea of Lizzy fighting alongside Doll just really stuck so here we are!
