🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

The first time I ever wrote fanfic was when I was 16 in 2005 and in That 70s Show fandom shipping Jackie/Hyde. I wrote a canon divergence fic called "Anything For You, Doll" that took place during the episode "Vanstock". I ended up being in that fandom for over 3 years and wrote a lot of fics which now no longer exist on the internet as of this year. 😩 I actually am really proud of a lot of those fics (my favorite being a Sixteen Candles inspired AU) but what happened with Danny Masterson these last few years was just too horrifying and disgusting for me to ever consider returning to that ship or show. And even though I know when I wrote those fics I of course knew nothing about his crimes (no one did) it was hard for me to imagine new fans or old fans ever coming back to fanfics for Jackie/Hyde once they learned what kind of person Danny Masterson was during that time playing Hyde. And I felt icky having them there. I know this was supposed to be probably a fun answer, but now in 2024 I have such complicated feelings about my time in T7S fandom from 2005-2008. It was literally the best of times and I grew so much as a writer with the stories I attempted and the friends I made. But that bastard ruined a lot of those memories.

For Elucien, because they're my OTP, if they are with anyone else. Lol. I'm very monogamous with my OTPs. I can get into non monogamy and swapping around if it's a couple I only casually ship. But OTPs are off limits. Something that happens a lot in Elucien fic is casually mentioning Lucien is fucking Jurian and Vassa in threesomes while he's waiting for Elain and NO THANKS.

Oh also when people write Elain too mean or antagonistic to Lucien. It's always felt OOC to me. I have a very specific vision of Elain in my head and it's hard for me to get into fics if she deviates too hard. I have some wiggle room but ultimately I like what I like! So when I start picking up that vibe, after a lot of experience of trying and not enjoying that depiction of Elain, I just DNF pretty quick these days.

2. So there's been a couple points: the first date by the lake chapter in Maiden. They weren't supposed to kiss! Aegon was going to resist *so hard* but they both grabbed me by the shoulders and went I need to shove my tongue down their throat. And you know what? Totally worked out. Another time was Jace getting his own POV and that going on for a couple chapters (and dragging Baela along hissing and spitting). And then, of course, Floris Baratheon just entered the chat and took it over. I love that little Antler Queen.

7. ahahahaha oh man... the earliest memory I had was I was 9 years old and Nellie Olsen and Almanzo Wilder were dating and then Almanzo cheated on Nellie with Laura Ingalls and Nellie, in the betrayal, ran sobbing into the prairie never to be found again.

9. Hmmmmmmm I would love that, truly. I come from a film/screenwriting background, it's a place I'm comfortable in even though I'm out of practice with it (it's been over 10 years). I think a lot of people who embark on long fic, at least from my experience, have always joked about 'the movie/tv show made from the fic'. And I think I'd love to see my original work adapted as well. I think the only thing that would keep me hesitant is having my experience in fandom, seeing the ugly side of things when it comes to adaptations.

9. Which Batch are you getting to help you when you need to fake your death?

That is an excellent question. I feel like any of them would be really good people to ask for entirely different reasons. Wrecker would probably try to talk me out of it, but ultimately if I mention blowing something up and promise I won’t actually be dead, he’d help in a heartbeat. Tech would also be a great choice and I probably wouldn’t even have to explain it in detail my reasonings. He’d just be like “I understand. It is the best course of action. Give me an hour.” And that’d be that. Echo would, like Wrecker probably try to talk me out of it, but for as much as he loved memorizing rules in the GAR he was close with Fives for a reason. So he would be great too. Hunter I’m on the fence about. I feel like in the end he’d help, but he’d probably argue about it entire time. Crosshair probably internally would question it, but then just go along anyway.

So I really can’t go wrong here. But for being efficient and painless, I’ll go with Tech. If I want to have fun with it, Wrecker.

To be honest, I think I deal with them in the same way that Aurora does: mention it in passing and then move on like she didn't just drop something incredibly heavy. Aurora has been through some really awful things, but she doesn't really let it slow her down.

I also make sure that if things are going dark dark, I'm with a partner I can trust, and that I know can handle it.

3. For this year I’m most proud of wicked words. It was my first complete multichapter in awhile, had two smut scenes and I had both Jon and Dany POVs while also navigating a past Dany/Robb 😂 I’m so proud I finished it!

Ooooh we have so much traveling we want to both state side and internationally. We really want to get up to Utah to explore some National Parks (Arches specifically), and over to California for the same things (i want to see the Redwoods, mister bex wants to go to Joshua Tree) but Italy and London are both on the international travel list with like a billion others.
