after two years of being a gaku oshi, i finally got 1st place !! in an event with a theme that means a lot to me, too TT i had my doubts on whether i’d make it or not but i still pushed through both because i had nothing more to lose and that i wanted to at least achieve this for him :”) 

gaku is everything to me and i cherish him more than anything in the world (understatement, really), so i’m beyond overjoyed at how everything played out TTTT i’ve been settling for just second or third place before so i made up my mind to truly fight for t1 this year </3 otsu to everyone who ranked too, i’m sure he’s proud of all of us !! - holding his face and staring intently to his eyes would fluster him a lot. your faces are so close to each other, he could almost feel your lips. if you do it for too long, he’ll start to look around everywhere but you. but if you won’t let go at all, he’ll start muttering “please stop…” (he doesn’t want you to, but he’s just way too shy). how could he not blush when your pretty face is directly in front of him, he will never forget that view

- another way to tease kei is to whisper sweet or even dirty things to his ears. he’ll turn stiff and grip his clothes, trying to regain his composure.

- want to overstep the line a little more? kiss, bite or lick his ears and the oh so powerful assassin would start heavily panting. he’s so flustered he doesn’t know what to do with himself, if you roughen your actions a little more, he would start whimpering

- aside from that, you should tug his hair and bite or suck his Adam’s apple. at this point he’s nothing but a puddle. he’s thankful to wear turtlenecks to hide the hickeys you gave him

- uzuki kei may be a dangerous person, if not the most. but only you know how weak his heart is

- since shin can read minds, you don’t even have to lift a finger to get his knees buckling (and you should take advantage of it). stare at him intently while he’s exercising, he’s trying so hard to keep his cool but your thoughts of undressing him in your head is making it harder for him (hah).

- you can think the most dirtiest things ever while having a stoic expression or sweet smile. shin is always in a hard time because of you

- he could be talking to sakamoto and suddenly he sees an image of you about pinning him to the bed. he can’t even scold you without looking suspicious to mr sakamoto

- straddling him is another way to fluster him, no matter how many times you do it, it’ll always make him go shy.

- you should feel up his abs and biceps! he doesn’t have those for no reason. you could also put your mouth to good use and kiss them. at this point, shin should just give up on pushing you away and let you play with him

- it’s fun to tease shin with how reactive he is with his feelings, especially with that clairvoyance he has! bully him all you want

- gaku definitely has a thing for biting.

- cover him with bite marks, he’ll shudder from how sharp your teeth are on his skin. if you bite down on anywhere that is more sensitive, he’ll whine and pant

- bite him until his skin bleeds, he’ll never get over how good the feeling is (and probably get turnt on.)

- I really think he likes you roughing him up, so push and shove him whenever you can. hold his jaw harshly, or even his throat, and maybe tightly to the point he can barely breathe. and if you’re strong enough, manhandle him.

- he gets off to your praises too, he doesn’t hear them often before meeting you. “you’re so strong, gaku”, “you’re really good at playing that game”, “you’re amazing at this gaku” and whatever else. gaku would want to hear them more and get desperate to impress you all the time

- if you send more than enough praises to him, he might just bow down to you and breathe heavily due to the intense adrenaline he’s getting from your loving words

- if he’s in a really submissive mood, even kissing you would turn him whiney. leave teasing kisses on his face while having a loving gaze towards him just makes him soo giddy and needy.

- gaku is deep down still childish, similar to an abandoned puppy. he’s happy to receive whatever affection you’ll give to him

How would Gaku, Tsunashi, Yuki, Momo, Yamato, and Mitsuki handle witnessing reader's abusive ex barging in trying to forcefully take them back? I imagine reader isn't an s/o to the boy(s) yet…but just someone that works as part of the company supporting the idol group. Maybe all this goes down back stage at one of their concerts? Reader's one of the staff and the idol just so happens to witness this going down backstage? And I don't necessarily mean just physically violent ex. Someone that's a bit too clinging/insistent, someone that had a history of emotional manipulation with the reader, someone that's overbearing and/or controlling and/or possessive works too. Gaku wants to punch your ex.

He's probably going to.

not yet though. He has to see how this plays out before doing something that might get his whole career put in jeopardy.

He's not even sure how this guy got back to the rooms that clearly say 'STAFF ONLY' and that only caused more concern.

The idol had already been talking to you and thanking you for your hard work when your ex opened the door and acted all too familiar with you, even trying to give you a hug while you grimaced, trying to fumble your way out of their grasp.

They proceeded to talk about how hard and long they've been trying to find you while you sit there with a less than impressed expression, not even nodding along to their rambling.

Eventually all the nonsensical talk came to a head when they said they were taking you back with them where you belong.

Before you could even open your mouth to respond to the sheer gall of such a statement, the silver haired idol beside you beat you to it

"They're not going anywhere with you." He says, not keeping in mind at all his image and that he should've probably said it in a more polite tone. "They're an adult, let them choose for themselves." Gaku asserts for you.

He could argue with your ex all night if he had to, constantly standing up for you and your freedom to do or be with whoever you want to.

"They're not yours." Gaku puts his foot down, before turning to you. "(Y/n), what do you want to do, do you want to leave and head out with me and everyone else, or be with them?" The question is presented, wanting to hear your true opinion lest he end up talking over or for you too much.

Your former partner makes an attempt at another pointless explanation and reason for you to go with them. Gaku tries his best not to glare too much.

Even if he weren't head over heels for you, he'd do this for you regardless. You're your own person after all.

Of course you didn't want to be with your ex anymore. Their toxicity was something you'd had enough of a long time ago.

With a hesitant expression, slowly becoming more determined, you turn back to Gaku.

"I want to go with you." You say.

The idol's expression becomes much softer towards you, even causing him to smile.

"Come on then." He dares to gently grab your hand, the two of you walking to meet back up with the rest of TRIGGER.

Momo

Momo was carefully weighing the options of what he could do in this situation as soon as he sees you tense up at a person that isn't wearing staff uniform and looks a little standoffish.

Upon listening further your ex uses some terms that implies you were in a romantic relationship with them. His heart almost hurts a little, especially since he himself was interested and about to start pursuing you. But seeing how you look, you clearly didn't feel the same as them, at least, not anymore.

So now he was cooking up some sort of fast plan where the both of you could leave this situation as quickly and painlessly as possible.

He could pretend he was drunk, but wasn't sure how efficiently he could pull that off..and it probably would creep you out. Other than that, he had one other option...

(Y/N)-CHAAAAN, MY LOOVEE~" Imaginary flower petals could practically be seen floating around him in a pink, romantic haze as he skipped down the hallway towards you.

You and your former partner's heads quickly whip toward the direction of the loud idol, confused, and honestly you couldn't handle anything else bad happening right now.

However, you feel yourself nearly tripping and knocked over by your friend who had thrown his weight onto you, his arms wrapped around your shoulders.

Both you and your ex blink at that.

"Found you! I was wondering where you went, darling!" Momo cheerfully proclaims, his cheek nearly brushing up against yours.

"..'darling'?" Your ex repeats with a mix of frustration and confusion.

"Momo-" You start, before watching him carefully wink at you before continuing to fawn over you. It took a moment for you to understand his intention.

"Come ooonn, we're going to be late to the afterparty at this rate, we have to go right now!" Momo tugs at your arm

"Ah...okay." You nod, and he puts a hand on the small of your back, turning you around. Your ex's eyebrow twitches at the contact.

Even though this was an act, he was definitely rubbing it in on purpose.

"Hey, I-" They start to protest.

"I'm sorry, me and (Y/N)-chan can't be late! Maybe you guys can text or call later? They just got a new phone number though."

You didn't have a new phone number, he was purposely misdirecting them.

They start to say something else, but its disregarded as you and Momo start to head out, a grin on his face, soon accompanied by a relieved sigh from the two of you in unison

Yuki

"You're a little bitch."

Depending on the person, either the statement itself, the fact it was coming from a top idol, or Yuki's unbothered expression while saying it could be more infuriating than the other.

"Wh..What did you just say to me you pretty boy punk!?" Your ex's fists clench, clearly about to escalate the situation.

At first, the idol wasn't even in the same room as you and your ex's current confrontation, but as he walked by the hall and overheard, he felt the need to involve himself, not liking their tone.

"If you're that hurt, go home and cry about it, at least have the decency to not come in public and berate your ex." Yuki says in an icy tone without a shred of mercy. "How can you expect them to take you back when you're being this embarrassing?" A rhetorical question.

"W-wait, Yuki!" You try to step in front of him before your former partner thinks about getting physical with him, resulting in an even bigger mess.

"Nono, they can hit me if they want, but it'd only prove my point." The composer only adds fuel to the fire, a less than savory habit of his. "I'm not scared of them."

Your ex lets out a low growl, getting closer with slow stomps.

"Stop! Please just leave, I don't want this!" You put your hands out in front of you, signaling them to cease.

"But (Y/N), are you really gonna let this guy get away with saying that?!" They turn to you with frustrated furrowed brows.

"I...its..i agree with him!" You blurt out, making their eyes widen, their posture becoming less hostile and more surprised.

Yuki on the other hand, entirely expected this. He extends a manicured hand out to you.

"Let's go, (y/n)."

Your lips purse, looking between him and your ex, before taking his hand.

You two ignore your ex, walking away.

"You won't regret making this decision, I promise." He assures you.

Nikaido Yamato

Yamato was heading backstage to personally invite you to the afterparty. Was it necessary since you'd likely already be there? Not really, but the other group members insisted since it was an easy way to start a conversation with you.

Once he rounded the corner though, he was greeted with the unpleasant sight of your ex with flowers, saying something about how they'll 'treat you better this time', while you looked pale enough that he wouldn't be surprised if you threw up any minute now.

Usually, (if it isn't one of his fellow group members he'd just mark it up as another thing that isn't his business and make his way out,

but A. he liked you

and B. he didn't like wherever this was going

so, against his better judgement, Yamato decides to walk up behind the two of you, a bit unintentionally awkward, but how else would he approach something like this?

"Y-Yamato!" You nearly gasp, as if this couldn't get anymore embarrassing already, you were cringing that now your friend was here to witness your ex's behavior.

"..excuse me, we were in the middle of something." Your ex isn't rude, but they aren't polite to Yamato either. To them, they were in the middle of fighting to stay together with you, and didn't appreciate being interrupted.

"Ah, don't mind me, I'm just waiting in here for something." He lies, putting his hands in his pockets.

Your ex squints, before continuing to make their case for why you should come back to them.

The attempts you make at explaining why you won't end up falling on deaf ears...well, not on Yamato's at least.

"Please (Y/N), I was immature back then, but im better now..could you just come back home with me and talk things out?" They border on begging.

Your breath hitches, not even knowing how to react anymore, before Yamato gets closer.

"Eh, (Y/N) has some stuff they need to get to first, the staff has been calling them for a while now." He rubs his neck, a little too nonchalantly for the situation.

You were a bit offended for a moment, as for one thing you had already done all your work, and that he was being so casual about this.

..And then you realized, he was acting.

"They...still aren't off work?" Your former partner asks with a frown.

"Entertainment industry is 24/7 work more often than not, trust me I know." The man sighs, shrugging. "Don't worry, you'll have plently of time to see (Y/n)..whenever their next off day is. Better to not come while they're working again or security will take care of you." He frames it as giving advice rather than a warning.

"Alright, lets go." A hand is tapped on your shoulder, him signaling you to follow.

Giving one last look to your ex, you turn and do so.

"...Yamato, where are we going?" You whisper.

"Staff Backdoor. That creep won't follow us there...At least not if theyre parked or walked here from there."

Once outside, You bow in thanks to your savior, apologizing for what happened.

He just looks at you with a small, understanding smile, patting your shoulder. "Its fine, not like it was your fault. If they come by again let one of us know, yeah?"

"Thank you..oh right, was there anything you needed from me since you came to see me?"

He nearly coughs. Asking you to the afterparty would still be harder than what he just did, but he'll suck it up.

remember during the fireworks mikoto asked hayato what would happen when he got a girlfriend?

little did he know his older brother sort of had one already - well, a boyfriend, that is.

the both of you had met in high school, being in the same class

slowly, you had gotten to know each other, passing notes during classes and sneaking glances when no one was looking

soon enough, you asked him out and he accepted!!! much to your surprise

but rest assured, he likes you very much

it's his first relationship, so please be gentle with him

he's very hardworking, and selfless as seen from his years of dealing with his brothers

it's reflected in the way he always asks you were you want to go first during dates after school, or how he offers to tutor you in the subjects you're weak in, despite his own heavy workload

you guys barely get anything done during these tutoring sessions anyway smh

he's too distracting so you just end up staring at him the whole time

you weren't too sure what his parents thought about two guys dating, so you both decided it was best to keep it a secret

but as with every secret gay relationship, it never ends like the movies and you both agreed to end it on amicable terms

it was sad, sure, but...that's life, isn't it?

as you both went into college, you kinda just. stopped contacting each other. and it was fine. you were okay to leave your relationship as nothing but high school sweethearts.

so imagine your surprise when years later, you walk into the staff room of the high school you've been posted to on your first day as a teacher, and see your ex-boyfriend.

as it turns out, he had been at that high school for a while now, but it was his first time taking a class

the first thing you noticed was that he was a very, very tired man.

when you got closer to him, it was only then did you learn of his current family situation

how does he manage to juggle handling a new class, and taking care of 3 brothers all by himself? no one knows

so you made it your goal in your new job to help hayato out as much as possible, to lessen his burden

you can't help it, you've never really gotten completely over him so this was the perfect chance to show him how much you care

you need to force him to take constant breaks, otherwise he'd probably pass out from exhaustion one of these days

technically he already has cough gaku in ep 3 cough

but it's no secret that he's not good with relying on others

it's impossible to ask him how you can help directly, instead you try to discreetly do some of his work for him, like preparing the exam sheets

this doesn't escape hayato's watchful eyes, he immediately notices

"[name], did you do this for me? thank you, but i can handle it myself. you already have so much work to do..."

"hayato, i want to help! just let me. please."

"but-"

"shhh. just let me take care of it."

he gets butterflies whenever he's around you, and he doesn't know why.....surely he's more mature than this, getting flustered over some guy he dated in high school.

it seems like you weren't the only one with lingering feelings

eventually it gets to the point where it's hard for the two of you to focus on your teaching jobs properly when it's clear as day to all of your colleagues that there was a lot of mutual pining going on

like...the tension in the staff room is so thick it's suffocating

you were the first one to confess (again)

with hayato being so busy, he can barely find time to even consider romance, so he just pushed those feelings aside and buried himself in his responsibilities, hoping his feelings for you would just subside

the fact that you were able to make a little place in his heart and stay there is so, so special

so he accepted, of course. thank god. it would have a taken a long, long time for him to make the first move.

WHEW that backstory took longer than i thought....onto your actual relationship

i can definitely see him being the sappy type, he just doesn't show it outright.

since the both of you are busy the whole school day teaching, the only time you really get to spend together is during lunch breaks

he tries to show his love subtly, like waking up early so he can pack a homemade lunch for the both of you to share

it's times like these you feel truly blessed to be dating him, we all know he's an amazing cook since he had to learn so many recipes to feed his brothers

he's definitely very easily flustered

so pda in the staff room would have to be limited to a quick hug or kiss between periods, otherwise he can't focus on teaching

you guys go home together after finishing the work day at school, sometimes you would go to his place

and trust, the first time you did, hayato spent the whole previous day worrying about it and briefing his brothers that someone would be coming over. he runs that family like the navy

"tomorrow...someone will be coming over when i come back from work. please behave..."

immediately, they all catch on. hayato hasn't had someone come over since before their parents passed, so this must be someone special

minato: "who?? your girlfriend??

"MINATO."

mikoto: "well...is it?"

"it's...my boyfriend."

immediately, they all make that ooooOOOHHHH sound that siblings tend to make, much to hayato's embarassment.

"shut up....." he mutters, head in his hands. he desperately hoped they wouldn't say anything too weird when you were over.

you were already kinda familiar with his brothers from when you went to his house a few times during high school, but it was strange seeing them all grown up

unexpectedly, they did remember you.

minato: "hey, isn't this your friend from high school? you mean you guys are dating now??" he bounces up and down excitedly.

"the truth is...we were dating back then. we reunited since we both teach in the same school. it's complicated."

mikoto had an uncharacteristic smirk on his usually stoic face. "i knew it all along. you guys were too close to be friends..."

"you're kidding me." hayato groaned.

getting along with them is a must, hayato can't bear the thought of his favourite people disliking each other

thankfully, they all warm up to you very quickly. it's heartwarming to them that their brother found someone who makes him genuinely happy

he's basically dedicated his whole life to taking care of them, its what he deserves

one time on the weekend, gaku caught you lurking outside the house looking for a way in

"oh! gaku! don't worry, i'm just...helping your brother with....work...stuff."

but really, it was just an excuse to come surprise hayato

it doesn't really take long for gaku to catch on though, i mean, he's literally 6 years old and lowkey a child prodigy so like

overtime, they started to see you as an older brother figure as well

the first time hayato mentioned this to you, you wanted to cry. it means so much to have his family's acceptance

the first time you offered to help him out with family matters, he looked at you like you were crazy.

"absolutely NOT. you're not even part of the family, how could i burden you with my own troubles?"

"i'm not part of the family...? :<"

"you know i didn't mean it like that....i mean-"

"don't worry, i'll be part of the family legally soon..."

Taichi: Pretendin’ to be a Wolf is nasty work!

Banri: Seems like we’ve got a troublesome guy to deal with again.

Omi: He was wearing an Ouka High uniform, so I had an acquaintance from Gaku’s boxing club find some info.

Omi: It seems he’s a second year there, but he’s got a shaky attendance record and doesn’t always go home, preferring to spend the night at various other places.

Omi: They say he’s got an unapproachable aura and stands out in a bad way.

Omi: Zen-san also had someone look into it, and there’s no doubt that he’s the high school student that’s been going wild on the street these days.

Azami: I wonder if I’ve met him too, since he’s an Ouka High student.

Omi: He’s about your height, his hair has blond and pink highlights, and he also has a rather striking birthmark on his face.

Juza: An Ouka High student with a birthmark on his face…?

Sakyo: You know ‘im, Hyodo?

Juza: Nah…

Juza: (Could it be the guy who showed me the shop with the cheesecakes?)

Taichi: What do you wanna do, Omi-kun?

Omi: First, I want to get him to stop calling himself “Nachi of Wolf” and using violence.

Izumi: Right… It’ll give Nachi-san a bad reputation.

Omi: He said that fighting is his only method of communication, and that it’s something like his reason to live.

Omi: I’m aware I’m probably being meddlesome, but I was thinking whether I can’t help him change that reason to action, or acting.

Omi: My life changed because I found a place to belong in Wolf. When I joined this troupe and started acting, I found a purpose in life again.

Omi: If he can find a new purpose and a place to belong through acting, I think his life could change too.

Omi: I know that it’s easier said than done, but… I still want to do everything I can.

Omi: The same way Nachi called out to me all those years ago.

Banri: It might also be easier than ya expect it to be.

Banri: I know firsthand what it’s like to have your boring life changed by finding somethin’ that lights a fire within you.

Juza: Once you realize your strength can be used for stuff other than violence, you can definitely find something else to live for

Sakyo: That Karashina guy does remind me of Settsu before the Autumn Troupe was fully established.

Sakyo: The way Fushimi had Wolf, I was also saved by finding my place in Ginsenkai.

Sakyo: And, by joining MANKAI Company, I was once again saved by acting.

Sakyo: I’m sure everyone here understands just how having “a place to belong” and “something to light a fire within you”... can affect your life.

Azami: In that case, wouldn’t it be better if Omi-san simply focused on the Action Workshop?

Taichi: Right. I’ll also do my best to support you when the day comes!

Banri: And I’ll make sure to arrange the schedule in a way I can also participate.

He can still keep singing, if it means he’ll get to spend a few more minutes with you.

And he knows, he knows he’s being a tad bit unreasonable.

After all, it was always him who warned Riku to take care when the latter acted impulsively.

“Iori.”

Your sweet voice cuts through his murky thoughts, akin to a window opening to sunset skies, smoke dissipating from the confined room of his mind, as thick fog is pierced by sunlight.

The idol is quick to compose himself, clearing his throat at the time he asks:

“Yes, [last name]-sensei?”

You let out an airy chuckle, he always did have that habit of using honorifics with you.

“Just [Y/n] will do, we’re practically the same age.” You explain, giving him a soft smile.

The rosy hues the sky dyes in when you illuminate it with your light, mirror on his cheeks at your statement.

You were so good at what you did, that he sometimes forgot you hadn’t even graduated high school yet.

But then again, the same could be said for him, becoming an idol and helping with his group’s management.

“Right.” His midnight gaze averts to the side, as he tries your name on his tongue. “[Y-y/n].” He stammers, the color on his cheeks increasing in intensity.

A soft giggle leaves your lips.

“Were you thinking of staying for extra practise?” You inquire, sitting next to him, unaware of the effect that has on him.

Letting out a cough, he nods.

No, this won’t do. He has to pull himself together.

“That’s right.” He replies, expression serious.

The idol tries to keep his tone even, wishing the wild beat of his heart doesn’t betray his coolness.

“Hmm…” You ponder for a moment. “Your vocals today were perfect, as they always are.” You hold your chin in between your fingers, thinking. “So, I believe there is only one more assignment I can give you for the day.”

Indigo starlight swims in Iori’s eyes upon hearing that, the shine of his starry gaze betraying his composure.

“And that is, to rest.” You tell him, eyes fixated on his, as you put a hand on his shoulder. “You know, the vocal cords are… similar to another muscle of the body. You can’t forever keep it tense, or moving. It needs rest, to let all the hard work of the day sink in.” You lean back, your hands supporting you as you close your eyes briefly. “If you overdo it, you could very well be throwing away all the effort you put in with an injury.” You stand up from your sitting position, crouching before him. “So, no more work for today.” You order, flicking Iori’s forehead.

“But, I-“

“No management tasks either.” You point out, with a wink.

The idol’s eyes widen, to which you are quick to offer:

“My lips are sealed, don’t worry.” As you bring your index finger to them.

Iori’s shoulders slump.

His chance to spend more time with you has been shattered, unknowingly, by the one he loves.

Then, a sweet scent fills the room.

“Why don’t I share these cute snacks with you?” You suggest, showing him a bag of bunny shaped candies. “I got them this morning on my way here, and they were selling two bags for the price of one. Mind joining me?”

The sparkle returns to Iori’s eyes.

He’s too quick to accept the offer, causing for him to stumble a little over his words when he tries to regain poise.

But in this moment, he couldn’t care less if his emotions are shown.

Not when a silver lining presents before him in the form of your hand extended towards him.

He simply can’t resist you.

No matter how tired he is, your tender touches always manage to calm him down; a gentle prairie, held in the moment when daybreak approaches, a sliver of moon overseeing the impending sunrise.

It’s become usual too, since you came along, that every time he sits on a chair, his starlit locks twirl around your fingers.

Like right now, soft hums leaving his lips, as you gently sing one of his group’s songs.

To Gaku, it sounds perfect in your voice.

But then again, anything you do always feels that way to him.

He lets you decorate his hair in pink ribbons, after all; and he didn’t complain when you got him a whole set of hair care products, shampoos and conditioners because “Gaku, you’re a famous idol, you can’t keep using the first all in one soap you find. Not on my watch!”

Your pout as you scandalized over his choice of products was certainly adorable.

He chuckles now.

“Gaku, did I tickle you?” You ask, a smile palpable on your tone.

He turns around, the sight of you with hairbrush in hand as you are genuinely concerned about whether you made him uncomfortable, eliciting a tender smile to match his lovestruck gaze.

“Not at all, my dear.” Steely eyes flutter closed in a constellation rendered in twilight; in his view, you were radiant.

You give him a giggle, patting his head softly.

“You are sweet.” You utter, as you put down the hairbrush, slumping on a chair next to his.

It’s certainly been a long day at the studio today, with so many idols and actors appearing on the variety show, you’ve barely had time to rest at all.

But of course, you would have never missed the chance to do your boyfriend’s hair.

And obviously, you were not going to half-ass it.

He’s going live with the rest of TRIGGER in a few minutes, and truth be told, to you, he’s never looked as handsome as he does now.

You mentally pat yourself on the back a little for that; even if you are aware that nothing could really mask your lover’s beauty, you are glad you managed to do a good job.

Gaku stands up, walking towards you and placing a delicate kiss atop your head.

Your tired gaze meets his; kaleidoscopes dance in his stare with the first beams of moonlight filtering through the window.

“You guys are up soon.” You mumble, tucking a flyaway curl behind his ear.

TRIGGER’s leader catches your hand, as he leans against your touch. You were his good luck charm, after all.

“I know.” He whispers, as he brushes his lips over your palm.

You can feel the temperature on your face rising up at his display of affection; a thousand fiery butterflies to ignite in shades of passion a crescent moonlit night.

“I’ll be watching.” You reply, with a fleeting kiss to the corner of his lips. “See you backstage afterwards.” You muse, with a last gentle squeeze to his hand, before walking away.

He smiles.

Backstage was really your regular meeting spot lately.

He’ll have to take you on a proper date soon, he thinks, as he meets with his two groupmates.

Ooh… I have two, I think. One from To the Shining Stage, where Gaku comes to the realization, thanks to a cute and drunken Ryuu, that he feels unfulfilled in life:

Ryuu’s chin quivers. He murmurs something Gaku can’t understand, then follows up with “you’re so nice, Gaku.”

Gaku clicks his tongue impatiently. “I’m not trying to be nice, I’m trying to get you to follow your own dreams.”

“I know, and that’s really nice of you." Ryuu laughs. "Gaku must have a dream, huh? What does Gaaaaku want?”

A simple question, yet one with no simple answer. It’s not as though Gaku hasn’t thought about it; he’s twenty-two years old, didn’t go to university, and works at his family’s soba shop. It’s a perfectly average, uninteresting, and directionless life. Maybe, once upon a time, he wanted more. Maybe he had dreams not unlike Ryuu’s own, even if his father pushed him into it. But, unlike Ryuu, he had the opportunity and refused to take it. He wanted to earn his dream, not have it handed to him just because he had the misfortune of being the son of a powerful, demanding father that expected everything and was always disappointed. He would never be good enough. So here he is, living in a too-nice apartment that his father paid for per his parents’ divorce agreement, delivering soba for a living, writing music in his free time that will never leave the privacy of his bedroom. And he was content with that, for so long.

Until he met Tsunashi Ryuunosuke.

Drained from his excursions for the evening, and wrung out from the myriad of emotions he had gone through in the past few hours, he began his walk toward his own quarters, but stopped halfway down the hall and changed direction. He had seen himself in Kai Toshiki: A powerful, solitary knight, loved by his charge, hesitant to let his own feelings interfere with his oath and his duties to serve. Yet, where Ahmes had closed off his heart to the man who loved him, Kai had opened his to the possibility of heartbreak and rejection. Maybe, in the end, Kai was the stronger man.

Biggest surprise while writing this year?

I honestly frontloaded a lot of my writing in the first half of the year somehow, despite work being wildly busy with audits and reports. I also wrote for two new fandoms (Octopath Traveler II and IDOLiSH7). Since I'm kind of a creature of comfort and get really anxious dipping my toes in new things (like, what if I'm not good at portraying characters, etc), it is surprising that I was able to branch out as much as I did, I think.

Peak archetypal Inoue scumbag. He's a creep he's pathetic he's deeply repressed in multiple ways but most importantly he's cool as fuck. Him and Ryu have the most yaoi dynamic that has ever yaoied, every scene between them they were having sex actually ! Spoilers ! his death is also both the most earned and deserved death ever. Earned as in he proved himself to be a force for the greater good after rejecting the responsibility constantly, he died surrounded by ppl who love him and was killed performing a heroic act; deserved bc he was very much a creepy asshole, ESPECIALLY to Kaori. Like I love him but Kaori didn't deserve any of that

(Toshihide Wakamastu also super hot. like having a guy that looks like THAT wear leather gloves all the time should be illegal)

2. Jan - Gekiranger

Best sentai red hands down. His arc of becoming a more focused and less feral hero (his domestication arc if you will) is so well done. Him and Leo have a fantastic rivalry (literally destined to kill each other shit) that is also super yaoi. He could have easily been super annoying but thankfully his irrational behavior comes off more endearing (and understandable literally everything is new and confusing to him) thanks in part due to Hiroki Suzuki's great acting (and great face). he's just a lil kitty cat!!!!

3. Asakura - Kamen Rider Ryuki

He's killed dozens of ppl, he was born in a toilet and ate literal shit for years, he serves cunt while having never bathed in his life, he's the character of all time

I adore how the writers do TWO redemption fakeouts w/ him (didn't actually want to reunite w/ his brother nor cared abt that little girl he was "protecting") to drive the point home that this guy? is a agent of pure violence and chaos. he is basically non-human and cannot be reasoned with. This makes him a great narrative foil for "desperately tries to see the good in everyone" Shinji and a great yaoi foil for "literally my job to keep you in order" Kitaoka

Ryuki was a perfect starter kamen rider/toku show for me solely bc of this dude. my hole made for me <3

4. Taiga - Kamen Rider Ex-Aid

Me darling ice king <333 Seriously Taiga is the best character in ex-aid (aside from Poppy). I love how he mirrors Hiiro; both highly prideful and that pride leads them to do more destructive things in pursuit of what they believe is the greater good but really is more so just abt salvaging their bruised egos. And neither them could save Saki as Kuroto guaranteed her death by spraying her w/ more gamer disease

That and his partnership w/ Nico is so charming; hilarious in how Nico's bullheaded attitude forced Taiga to lighten the fuck up and genuinely heartbreaking when Nico was totally hysterical when Taiga nearly died. In short, he has layers like an onion and the sour taste of one too luv himmmmm

ALSO ALSO THE ONLY GUY WHO WANTED TO KILL KUROTO BUT EMU AND HIIRO WERE LIKE "noooo we can't kill this bio terrorist that'd be wrong :( for some reason" based Taiga always correct

5. Yellow/Gaku - Gaoranger

This pick is entirely subjective. He's not super deep or complex by any means (nothing in Gaoranger is, even for a sentai it's light on everything expect batshit insanity) BUT he is very Gender and Just Like Me fr

I love how his character (battle hardened military grunt) could've easily been a no-fun straight man but he acts more like an eldest brother to the team (rational and strict when it comes to immediately dangerous matters but amicable and goofy when it comes to boosting team morale). That and his lil details like randomly speaking English or being morally against eating birds give him that bit more flavor

Honorable mentions to Kusaka, Sosuke, Kyosuke, Gokai Gai and Tendou bc this post is long enough as is lmao

Also speaking of characters that don't fit fat stereotypes that I like to depict as fat that aren't fat in canon (sadly):

-nagi rokuya is fat in a soft round baby way, and also in the "my exact body type" way and he is a chick magnet because of it. Also mitsuki thinks his figure is the sexiest thing alive and thinks he's gorgeous and LOVES his soft cheeks in general because it reminds him of a hampster

-yamato nikaidou is fat in the "primarily biggest in his stomach and flank area" (which is basically the butt and upper thighs) and kinda has a pear shaped figure, and he's insecure about it ESPECIALLY because he thinks he can't accurately get revenge if he's not perfectly muscular, but Nagi and mitsuki (his boyfriends) absolutely think he's amazing looking and refuse to let him get insecure about himself, which is depressingly often. He also does plus size modeling and is known in a lot of magazines for being a "triple threat" of idol, model, and even aspiring actor

-gaku yaotome is fat in the muscular tree trunk arms and legs with a big hard belly way and WORKS to MAINTAIN that figure thank you (he exercises a lot AND eats at least 3000 calories, some of these calories being yakisoba). He is also a chick magnet because of this (including to tsumugi and ryuu who both stare a little TOO hard at his big arms and bearish physique). He also stands by the "never trust a skinny chef" idiom as his job as a chef and he DEFINITELY is the type to think the majority of skinnier people have less refined palates (a reference to another wataru hatano character who loves food and hates skinny people EXCEPT his girlfriend, Rufus)

Truth be told, this question is actually trickier than you think, because I haven’t read/watched that much medias with explicitly trans rep/themes, I own a lot, but haven’t read them quite yet, and the better stuff I’ve read is sequestered in my writing server via snippets and tidbits from others... or indie/self-published publications and patreons... and, uh, not to oversell my stuff, but my own writing KOFF KOFF.

To be clear, I do have enough to give a list, but given what I’ve heard of Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin (can you believe I bought that damn book six times?) and Tell Me I’m Worthless by Alison Rumfitt, this list is liable to change after checking out at least the former.

But without further ado...

Cheer Up! Love and Pompoms by Crystal Frasier and Val Wise - Look, I promise I love pain and violence and self-loathing and feeling like your skin’s a stranger to you, but this was done by a trans writer and artist team and it damn shows. As a whole, it really sings in how the trans experience feels like acceptance in your support network is conditional on how well you act. How well you don’t rock the boat, how well you perform to your preferred gender, and how unstable and insecure you can still be, despite all that and more. It doesn’t wallow in those thorns too long, but in terms of trans rep and theme? It’s my favorite, and it doesn’t hurt that I love the art. 

Tangerine, directed by Sean Baker - If the above was the more optimistic take of trans childhood, this is the poignant, if still playful, reality behind a decent chunk of adult trans womanhood, done with a cheap budget, but with verisimilitude intended. It doesn’t pull punches on how shitty trans sex workers are treated, how they’re objectified and abused, but it still allows them agency and personhood in how they go about the tangle of their professions and personal lives. And, more importantly, it doesn’t pull punches of how fellow trans people can hurt each other through their flaws and bad choices... but doesn’t surrender that they can still offer solidarity when the going gets really tough from systemic transphobia.

A Grisly Communion by N.J. Barna - If the first above was trans experience as childhood joy and love, the second was grounded street-walking reality, this is transcendental body horror. It’s a story that understands following our commonplace religious institutions can give you some degree of safety... but it can’t give you peace of mind, nor body. That the (fat) trans experience is conditional on being useful, on not taking up so much space for threadbare tolerance, and it’ll never be enough, given that fatness intersects upon the transness of it all. So, when unusual idols of worship are offered... we take them, because they, at least, would pay respect to our bodies and grant us the power to be on the other side of being meat from judging eyes.

Boys Run the Riot by Keito Gaku - I really wish this wasn’t cancelled before its time. This manga deserves at least a year’s worth of chapters, being an unconventional look into high school adolescence through a trans man’s pen, and a trans boy’s eyes as he navigates through being closeted in Japanese school culture and masculinity, his love life, and especially his daily choices of fashion, and how he eventually tries to gain more friends and allies through opening himself up... with plenty of teeth in how trans privacy must be respected for their safety, and how influencer culture intersects with gender performance and the need for online cache, with no easy answers there.

Realm of the Elderlings - What Hobb lacks a bit in the full understanding of transgression in the trans experience or culture as a whole, she makes up for in allowing a messiness in individual characterization and having one of the best gender nonconforming characters in all of fantasy. I’m not as crazy about the Fool as some fans, but he’s eminently quotable, layered, complex and messy as hell, and when he talks about love and yearning, such concept of malleable bodies, and how he transgresses cultures with utter confidence in his presentation, it’s enough to make one’s heart swell and ache at how there are not more characters like him in fantasy, for when he speaks of such experiences, it feels like he touches a part of you that transcends the physical.

Basically Al used to be married to Ann in the early 1900s and Ann was a lounge singer that caught the attention of some bad ppl and their house ended up burning down via arson, their daughter got out alive but Al and Ann both succumbed to burn wounds. Their daughter grew up investing her time in human experimentation and recreated the bodies of her parents with other people’s parts to the heat of her memory and used the brains from their previous bodies to put into the new minimally damaged ones. Ann was resurrected successfully with an original Frankenstein’s monster type deal but people caught win of the daughter’s experiments given her track record and her house was stormed, Ann had to try and resurrect Al herself hurriedly while her daughter stalled and she was successful but their daughter was killed at the doorstep and the couple fled.

Al because of the quickened process ended up with amnesia, not remembering his marriage to Ann or their daughter while Ann remembered it all and was still in love with him. Al was not the same as the man she married now, Alexander was dead and he was a new person all together but Ann couldn’t face this for awhile and told Al about their life together but this only inspired guilty in both of them. In modern times they’re separated but on good terms, Al’s story is about….. like….. finding himself? Discovering life is worth living and ultimately all of my stories about Gaku Al and Megu are about family.

GAKUPO…. ok exposition in my universe vocaloid is a sort of tournament held in Japan for singers across universes and Gakupo is an Android from a technologically advanced universe. He was created to be in a museum as a recreation of Feudal Japan and he was implanted with memories of a wife and children and life he never even had, he was made to believe he was a reincarnated samurai as a social experiment not realizing all his precious memories and experiences were fabricated. Upon discovering this he killed all the people in the museum and fled becoming a feared sort of urban legend thing… his story is about also about finding himself! He believes at first he’s unable to care for living beings due to his memories being fake but eventually he realizes he’s in love with Al and desires to create new meaningful experiences with him, Al shares the same sentiment. It’s really abt family and love and stuff… yknow finding the person you want to spend ur life with…. People from unfortunate circumstances being able to live normally :)

Megu is a difficult circumstance and I haven’t found a way to exactly incorporate her into the main universe but I have a verse where all vocaloids are androids and Megu is a Gumi unit that came out a little wrong and unlike other androids doesn’t mature mentally and is perpetually stuck at the 15 year old mark, Al takes her in because she has nowhere to go and he’s admittedly lonely after being separated from his Ann unit and they play house… become a family :’)) androids in this universe obv don’t have moms or dads and they don’t come in family units but Megu regards Al as her father and Al regards Megu as his daughter! Gaku is introduced later and like it’s a sort of goofy trying to get along with my boyfriend’s daughter type deal…. 🫶🫶 Megu does performances and is really popular as a show unit but she needs Al to be backstage with her for every show bc she gets nervous, he holds her hand right before performances as a sort of “you’re alright, I’ll be here, I got you”

So yeah!!! That’s stuff!!! I have a lot more emmm but that’s too long like I said, ik you didn’t ask abt Megu bits it’s like oh… family… cannot separate

Gaku Yaotome

Gaku takes great pride in you being his s/o, practically everyone's darling around the company of both his coworkers, staff and friends

everyone except his sometimes, apparently.

He's 100% for you to be independent and having strong relationships with others, being dependable and all that. But he can tend to get...possessive for lack of a better term.

He knows he's special to you, thats something in which his confidence would never wain, but he does need his alone, quality time with you. It helps him recharge especially after a long day.

As much as he loves that you're always present and there for both his and your own friends, he's still not above blurting out his needs that you should take a break from tending to everyone else and do something chill with him, like watching a movie or going for a drive.

His schedule was already hectic in certain seasons, so quality time is important to him as it is

It doesn't happen too quick at least, he'll give at least a 2 week grace period before his arms wrap around you from behind and he practically begs you to not leave and go do something besides being at his side.

With that said, its pretty easy to recognize when he's jealous.

Even if he's on good terms with the person, there's a painfully particular frown he gives when you're talking to them and he's been left out while standing by.

One thats easy for people that aren't you to spot as well, which has led to much more teasing than he'd be willing to admit.

Though the good part is that after his bouts of jealousy he feels the need to make up for lost time by taking you to an expensive dinner to remind the both of you how exclusive your relationship is

Kujo Tenn

Tenn is conflicted

He once had an impulsive thought to take you out more, but all his ideas would greatly interfere with his schedule, at least the ones that he feels would be enough to consider quality time

Sometmes he feels like you belong to everyone and not just him; which isn't necassarily bad, in fact he can relate, always trying to please his fans over his own needs and wants

The fact you're so kind is part of why he fell for you. Even when he had his moments where other people would consider him cold, you were always nice and understanding towards him

But that doesn't mean he won't pout like an annoyed cat when he sees you mingling at small parties and even with his other group members while leaving him in the background practically.

At times he's even petty enough to excuse himself from the room while pretending he has something better to do (though he usually comes back at realizing he's being a tad childish)

Once you notice he's jealous he'll ignore you a bit as 'punishment' but all you have to do is pet his head or let him rest it on your lap and its like he's reset and all is forgiven

He won't go as far as wanting to have you cut contact with the person at least not verbally but you can tell when he'd prefer to have your attention more

Alternatively you can buy him sweets and he'll be a little more content

but he definitely wants to go on some kind of date with you. Maybe two for good measure. Of just you and him, whether its something a bit more outside like going to the amusment park or just spending the day in each other's presence without taking any other calls (unless its for work)

Tsunashi Ryunosuke

Ryunosuke is not a jealous man. He trusts his s/o 100% (which would be a catastrophe if his judgement of character wasn't astute before dating someone)

Though it'd be a lie to say he didn't still go through his bouts of loneliness when its been a while since he's seen his fellow group members or even you due to his schedule. He wants to be happier when you tell him about the other things you've done, but ends up having a bittersweet taste in his mouth after hearing it.

It moreso makes him feel bad that he can't control his emotions getting the better of him, rather than directing it towards you.

And so, after realization, Ryuu figures the best way to cure it is to try and catch you the next time the both of you have enough free time to make your relationship feel special again. Easier said than done though.

Unlike Gaku, he wouldn't ask for much in terms of spending time with you alone. Just a night spent at either of your homes, making dinner or even ordering in and watching something and talking.

Weirdly enough, his other friends notice faster than you his feelings about the matter. He still looks at you fondly when you aren't looking back, but its different.

After a few attempts at denying when being asked about it, he'd finally admit that he'd been missing you

Even if the person he's jealous of is in vicinity when they hear that its pretty hard to be upset with him when he puts on such a genuinely somber face

Ryuu tries not to make a big deal out of it, assuring that he's fine with whatever you choose to do with your time

(which, obviously you'd spend more time with him)

Henri: The thing about me feeling empty?

MC: Yeah. Do you really… feel that way?

Henri looked down, as if he were struggling to answer my question.

Henri: I…

Henri picked up the cup of tea in front of him.

Henri: As I said yesterday, I think Makoto was right to say that.

Henri: I don’t want to say that he knows because we’re alike, but—

MC: Why!?

Henri: Why… hmmm?

After taking a sip of tea, Henri put down his cup and looked out of the window at the bright sky.

Henri: … I’ve always been able to do everything easily, without much effort.

Henri: I’m not trying to brag. Okay, maybe I AM bragging.

Henri turned to me and laughed cheekily.

Henri: However, I’ve never been the best of the best.

MC: Best of the best?

Henri: Yup.

Despite his words, Henri was still smiling and he stroked the handle of his teacup with his thumb.

Henri: I thought that I could do things better than everyone else, but then I realized a long time ago that I’m not the best.

Henri: I’m not the best, and I can’t take things seriously enough to become the best.

Henri: Especially in high school, where I met Kanade and Kyoichiro.

Henri: I realized that no amount of hard work can make me on the same level as geniuses.

Henri: Up till then, I’ve been doing everything without really trying, so I can just continue doing so.

Henri: That's what I told myself.

Henri: But I knew deep down that it was because I didn't want to hurt myself.

He took his hand off his cup as he continued.

Henri: I guess, in other words, I’m nothing but an empty shell. A fake.

MC: Henri…

The bustling atmosphere of the cafe and the sweet aroma of pancakes felt distant now.

(Henri is always so cheerful and energetic. I never expected him to think of himself this way.)

It hurt to see him talk himself down while maintaining a smile on his face.

(I need to say something.)

MC: Henri, you see…

MC: That whole thing about being insincere in what you’re doing…

(I don't think you are.)

I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what. I felt so frustrated I clasped my hands together.

Henri: Hahaha are you about to disagree with me?

Henri: Thanks, but you don’t have to make that face.

Henri continued when I looked up at him.

Henri: That’s how I choose to see myself.

Henri: Therefore, I’m just waiting and looking forward to the moment when Kanade and the others successfully break down the obstacles.

MC: The moment…?

Henri chuckled and picked up his fork.

He started eating his pancakes as if nothing had happened.

Henri: Don’t you feel that Kanade and the others have the power to change the world?

Henri: I personally don't have that kind of ability, but I still want to see it happen.

Henri: Ah, I guess I could say that I’m the number 1 most curious person in SilverVine!

Henri took a bite of his pancake with a small smile.

Henri: Enough about that! Eat up~

MC: …

(He's saying that as if they aren’t performing on the same stage.)

Not moving my fork at all, I just kept staring at Henri.

(I remember Makoto also said something else yesterday.)

It was when I went back to the living room alone after promising to eat pancakes with Henri.

== Flashback Start ==

Koki: Don’t you think you went too far? Makoto.

Koki seemed to have been listening to the conversation while cooking and approached him.

Makoto: Haha it’s a habit of mine to expose information, so I went along with it.

Makoto chuckled and picked up a photograph.

Makoto: However…

Makoto: One has to start a fire in order for something to keep burning, no?

Gaku: … Are you saying you had to start the fire?

Makoto: Maybe.

Makoto: No way an insincere person can stand on the same stage as geniuses and prodigies.

Makoto: If it doesn’t burn, it’ll just rot away.

== Flashback End ==

(There’s a possibility that Henri will leave SilverVine one day.)

(But that’s…)

As I turned my gaze down, my mind was filled with memories of the sound of that bass guitar that supported the performance…

Henri: MC?

Henri: You’ve been quiet for a while, what’s wrong? Hey.

I noticed Henri waving his hand in front of my face and looked up at him.

MC: Ah…

Henri was looking at me with a worried expression.

(During the live show… I felt it when I heard SilverVine’s song…)

(Kanade and Kyoichiro trust Henri a lot.)

(I don’t think they would trust someone who’s as insincere as he claims to be!)

MC: Henri.

I looked Henri in the eyes and said in a clear voice.

MC: You’re not insincere.

Henri: What?

Henri was surprised by what I said.

He went silent for a moment as if thinking of a response, then he started laughing.

Henri: Haha thanks.

That’s his usual cheeky laugh…

(... I failed to get my message across.)

(But I don’t know what else to say to him.)

I couldn’t talk to him properly even though he was right in front of me.

I was getting increasingly frustrated to the point I clenched my fist on the table.

(There’s no other way to make him understand…)

MC: Fine.

Henri: …? What?

I snapped my gaze back onto Henri, took a deep breath and spoke.

MC: I’m going to write you a song that will change the world!

Henri: … A song for me?

MC: That's right.

Henri probably thought I was just kidding, but I nodded in response.

(If there will really be a moment when the world is changed…)

(I want Henri to be on that stage too.)

I knew that I sounded too ambitious, but I continued.

MC: I’m going to fill the void in your heart, and you’ll never say that it's empty again.

MC: I’ll make you the main character of my song.

Henri stared at me in silence.

For a moment, only the bustling of the cafe could be heard.

MC: …

Henri: …

Henri sighed and finally said something.

Henri: Why would you do that for me?

MC: Eh?

I was surprised by that unexpected question.

Henri: …

Henri was staring intently at me, as if trying to see through my true intentions.

MC: You’ve taught me lots of things ever since I came to Sakuragi.

MC: You even brought me to Own The Night. Therefore… I want to repay you.

Henri: Repay…?

Henri seemed to have been taken by surprise.

Henri: Pfft… hahaha you want to repay me?

He suddenly started laughing so hard that he looked like he was going to topple over.

(That was the best idea I could come up with.)

MC: … Did what I said sound weird?

When I asked in a sulky tone, Henri wiped his tears.

Henri: Sorry. Sorry.

Henri gave me a bright smile.

Henri: … Thanks.

Henri: You’re the person to ever say something like that to me, MC.

This time, Henri was resting his cheek in his hand with his elbow on the table.

Henri: It makes me really happy.

MC: … Really?

Henri: Yeah.

I noticed that his cheeks were a little red.

Henri: You didn't pity me or give me a long pep talk.

Henri: Instead, you said you would make me a song. It was special. … Mmhmm.

Henri nodded and smiled softly again.

Henri: I look forward to it.

MC: … T-That’s nice to hear.

The Henri sitting in front of me right now seemed like a different person from before.

I brushed it off and hastily picked up my fork.

MC: I- I’ll do my best!

Then I put a piece of pancake in my mouth.

Seeing Henri’s smile made the pancake taste a lot sweeter.

After finishing our pancakes, we left the cafe together.

MC: Wow—... those were yummy. I’m so full.

(I think I ate a little too much.)

I inhaled and rubbed my tummy…

Henri: Hey, MC.

MC: Hm?

I looked up when I heard Henri call out to me, and saw that he was peering at me from up close.

My heart started beating harder.

MC: W-What’s up?

Henri: There are more things I want to do on our date... is that okay?

Akiyasu Kurahashi! A rant!

Aki was one of the characters that grew on me. Around during the events of the dawn book I hated what he did. This applies to Kagemaru also (later on I fell for him as well, but that's for another rant)

Aki looked like an antagonist but I was still curious about what lay behind that exterior... what forced him to do things he did? the entire picture..

I was curious but I never thought I'd end up loving him. My love for him grew gradually... similar to the gradual way he changed... It almost felt natural and now I truly love him and he's one of my fav characters in ARR. I think its the character growth plus the time gap... made him loveable.

In an event, they show him regretting his actions, feeling insecure about his status... he also questions himself if he deserves Mc's love... and that truly broke my heart. Aki's character and his feelings are as real as they can be... from someone who's done sinister deeds to someone walking the road to restoration, his growth is something I loved to witness...

I'm so glad I gave his mainstory a chance. What am I saying! I loved ARR so much that I read all lovers books, even the books of the guys who are not my type. But to be honest they are all adorable, really. I have many favorites in ARR which is why I'm reluctant to accept the ending we got in the EN app.

Back to Akiyasu, I think a good amount of time had passed between the events of dawn before his book was released. He moved away from the MC and the others and underwent lots of emotional changes. (Yes, he still struck with Kagemaru, but even so that was to pay him back, wasn't it? Aki became withdrawn and lonely. He'd always bee that way, tho he was with Tatsu. His quest for revenge never really let him live a free life) I

In the mean time we as readers/MC kind of naturally became more forgiving. (I kind of liked Aki in the start, too, though he was bad. Not the docile Aki, nope. He was sugary sweet and it was actually very suspicious. )

I loved it when he showed his true colors. More like, loved the challenge he posed and how Futaba dealt with it. In the end, when he couldn't land the final blow was when I knew he had some good in him. (of course I knew he had to have it. this wouldn't be otome if he didn't.)

His book had a lot of self loathing on his part. His regret was evident and I totally enjoyed every bit of his and Futaba's journey to the end scene...

When he holds her and cries saying how he can't bear the burdens of his sins alone...

(now this is different from yura's where the MC jumps to being in love with him as soon as he "corrects" his mistake of attempting to sacrifice her! I just couldn't connect to them there... Nevertheless, I forgave Yura. I even like him. He's funny and dotes a lot on Gaku. Just my feelings for him have always been platonic and his book did nothing to make me fall in love.)

Aki and MC have come a long way and the mutual support they got, the way they watch out for each other, do little things, go on sweet little dates (while getting a little jealous and possessive at times), I loved all of that and I've come to love Aki a lot.... Ryohei's voice while he voices the "real" Aki is my favorite haha. I won't start about my favorite ARR seiyu's voices because that'd make another essay

This year's JP app Akiyasu's birthday story looks soon good... I'd buy it if I earn an SSR ticket! lol I'm spending a lot on COD this month so don't think I can spend more.
