#miqomarch#miqomarch 2024#ffxiv miqo'te#final fantasy 14#seeker of the sun#shb spoilers in tags... beware#essentially he. was brought in like. a while after alphinaud but before alisaie#and spent a whole year on the first on his own - no selene no sagra#and since selene is his conduit: with none of his healing magic either.#so without any magic or any knowledge of the local plants#it was like he had been stripped of literally all purpose#which as you can imagine for a man who mostly views himself through the lens of 'how can i help others'#was not great for his mental health!#mostly he just became some sort of lydha lran cryptid of sorts#wandering the fog in old tattered voeburt clothes#waving a rusty old sword around to keep people out of the pixies' home#(since his soul is still owned by selene they couldn't really do anything to him)#which eventually ended with him having some sort of Thing with urianger#BUT. once sagra made it back with selene#and once they talked a lot of stuff out - its a long story -#there was definitely something like. oh. fuck. oh fuck yes this is the reason im here. this was worth it.#to see the relief on everyone's face on the crystarium#we're going thru shb again HEHE i have a lot of thoughts about himmm. my little GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#miqomarch fans how excited are we to almost be done btw???

my criteria for a ship to be obsessed with is always "if it inspire me to think, ponder, imagine, then that's my favorite ship"
that's why i usually don't really like canon ships because most of them don't inspire me to imagine things for them, the author had already provided it for me, the audience
(doesn't mean i hate them tho, i just don't find them that interesting to me as an artist)
#this is me thinking about how some of my friends who like yoshiden told me akiden is boring...#like... yeah TO YOU i guess but akiden is that ship that made me ponder all day long... even more than yoshiden#so to me i actually think yoshiden is the boring one because fujimoto already put it there in the manga#they don't inspire me much compared to the very cruel nature of akiden#also why at times i got really weird urge to draw makiden because i keep thinking how there's a lot of things that can happen between them#which frightens yet also excites me as an artist hehe#but yeah this doesn't just apply to chainsaw man but all the fandom i'm in#if the authors say a ship is canon usually i just feel very indifferent about em#but when the author ended the ship abruptly or somehow didn't explain anything about the evolution of certain character's relationships#my brain just goes haywire#but it also need to make me very emotionally attached to them and the story or it doesn't work#tmi tag

#it’s my own fault I got really excited about 3D printing some stuff and the resin smells awful#I can feel it killing off brain cells as I write this#no I have the windows and door open and fan going and these stupid tiny air filters I have for some reason so it’s fine but also just bleghh#tbh it smells more like isopropyl alcohol than resin#I changed out the wash bc it was full of semicured bits but I spilled a bunch bc I am bad at physically existing#it’s fine I have been wearing my p100 mask all day bc I was painting stuff so I will just keep wearing it#today was for printing and painting and tomorrow will be for sanding and filing the 20 things I printed 🙃#I am in a hell of my own creation tbh#it is taking every fiber of restraint to not yell about the things I printed#I am very bad at surprises#secrets okay but when it’s a surprise for someone I’m like IM GIVIGN IT TO THEM ANYWAY I CAN JUST TELL THEM ITS FINE#no SHUSH it’s a SURPRISE shhh have self control for ONE SECOND jeez#reminding myself that people can read my tags so I can’t just say everything in my brain currently#but I am super excited at how things are turning out hehe#pissed that the gloves aren’t identical though. why can’t I just be perfectly ambidextrous to better facilitate painting both hands#it’s fine though it’s fine that’s what touching up with a brush afterward is for#and so so so many q tips lol#water soluble paint is a blessing and a curse#debating how I want to paint the [redacted] and [also redacted] tomorrow hmmmmmmmm#I should see if I have any shiny clear coat :> for reasons :>#we’ll see!!!! #Doodles#Original#Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe#If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop#Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around#:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c#The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played#As well as the art design! :D#We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe#Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol#A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe#Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error#And then hightail it to where you need to be lol#I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha#I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear#We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art#I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c#Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! I hope!!
