Senjuro isn't a swordfighting guy, he's just not comfy playing offense, he's organized and supportive and observant and kind of a nervous wreck tbh. so let's play to Senjuro's strengths. first lower the stakes a bit, life and death is way too intense. put him on a team instead of making him fight solo. give him a role that focuses on returning a hit rather than making the first move. libero. goalie. catcher. what I'm saying is Senjuro would absolutely thrive in a sports anime and it's killing me that I can't pluck him out of Taisho era Japan and drop him off at Karasuno High in modern-day Miyagi.

Getting a call at exactly midnight, only to hear that you'll be dying within the next twenty-four hours was something that Neil Perry fears, that's why he didn't join in the Deathcast because he felt that not knowing when he'll die seems more natural, and would ease his nerves. After all, he had plans for himself, he wanted to act! He wanted to be on the center stage performing to live audiences like he used to when he was young.
To a certain Todd Anderson, it might be a call from god, all his life he's been tossed aside, friends he can count with just his fingers, parents who never looked at him like they look at his older brother, he thought that maybe he can finally rest without any pain. Sure he doesn't know how he'll die, but the prospect of all his pain ending was more important to him than that. Though his parents forbid him from signing in the Deathcast, after all, they still had these gargantuan expectations towards him, yet have no plans in helping or supporting him. Which is why he sneakily signed himself up.
Charlie Dalton was a carefree individual, a ray of sunshine that brightens up the room, he was known to be a guy whole lived by the phrase 'Carpe Diem' and well with that and at the time good friends decided to playfully sign themselves on the Deathcast, he didn't at his friend's disappointment. Carefree as he might be, he still has plans on his own, and hopefully, he could live long enough to make that plans to fruition.
Knox Overstreet was a man whose life was well ahead of him, he worked hard for this yes and it makes him prouder of how hard he's come, though the expectations of his parents still weigh on his decisions, or how he wished he could've become a cook rather than a lawyer still resides in his brain he tries to think best at how's life been treating him. And maybe since his life is now stable, he could start pursuing his dream of cooking.
Steven Meeks and Gerard Pitts, are both good friends of Charlie Dalton and the reason why he's a third wheel most of the time. Both found each other through their shared love of robotics, while Gerard was tall, awkward yet passionate, Meeks was more of the inquisitive one, a fact given how much research he made once they learned of the DeathCast, and upon further research, he decided to agree when Pitts said they should sign up, at the pretense of both of them telling if they get a call so they'll spend that day to the fullest. Hopefully, it won't come till a long time has passed.
Richard Cameron, Neil's friend who studies the same course as him. Pragmatic, logical, and thinks this whole Deathcast thing is simply uninteresting. Why would you spend your energy on your death when you can just live and continue on while being clueless about your own demise, it was how it was always been before Deathcast started. People have started to become dependent, fearful of that fated call. Which is why he didn't sign himself on the Deathcast.

Summary: Creating a world with the love fo your life was something only you two could see and share. Reality didn't matter as long as you had each other. It was only heart wrenching when that small world two lovers have created had dark sides unknowingly to the other.
⇢ Day 7: Hurt/Illness
✎﹏
(Oh I'm in pieces, it's tearing me up, but I know
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved)
Bokuto loved two things equally. Akaashi, and volleyball.
Having a relationship with him from the beginning of highschool til the end was a roller coaster ride. There are times where Akaashi would shut himelf out, and he'd be having trouble trying to help him out. And there were times where he wouldn't be enthusiastic, and Akaashi finding a list of ways to pick himself up. Nevertheless, their relationship was envied by a lot. And it was the most wonderful he has ever experienced. Like many people, the both of them planned so much ahead of their future. Where will be they staying after graduating college. How many kids they would plan to adopt along with pets if he wanted. Mostly talk about careers and passion together late at night.
He'd always go on and on about pursuing volleyball. Right now he was currently teamed up with an old friend, Hinata in the Black Jackals. Akaashi was proud of the little boy now growing into a fine man. Most of all he was happy that Bokuto was doing something he loves for his life long ahead. He had everything any person would have dreamed of.
But all good things must come to an end.
"W-what?"
"I'm breaking up with you."
The both of them stood in front of their apartment door, Akaashi's bags, and belongings already delivered back to his parents house. It was only a matter of time before he leaves as well.
Bokuto's face fell at his tone. What had caused this?
His arms began tremble, hands grabbing his, "Keiji, baby. Please, I don't know what's happening." sobbing, he doesn't know what he did wrong.
But it was him. All Akaashi.
"I'm sorry, Bokuto. I have to leave." his heart cracked when he said his last name than his nickname. Just a day ago Akaashi was hugging him all day, tighter than usual. He kept whispering how much he loved him, how much he means the world to him How proud he is of him for everything he's done.
That was just a day ago.
Why now?
He couldn't let more words slip from his mouth as his sobbing takes over. He can already hear the sound of his parents car tuning their horn.
It was time for him to go.
He placed his hands on his head, giving him one final kiss on his forehead. His arms slipping to his side as he cherishes his warm kiss.
"I'm sorry."
His heart breaks when he rushed out of the now empty apartment with ghosting memories. He went down on his knees— he wanted to chase Akaashi, he wanted to pull him back and explain why. He wanted to. But he was in an emotional wreck and let's himself wallow in pain.
I wish I could tell you.
(I hope that I see the world as you did cause I know
A life with love is a life that's been lived)
Akaashi loved Bokuto more than anything. More than himself. He was his sun to his darkest days, he was his anchor that kept him grounded. He was his everything.
Ever since Akaashi has been going out with him, his world has been nothing more than a colorful, bright one. Everything he hears from him is like a love song he will never be tired of. Every moment with him was like a movie that never has an ending. A love life with him that made Akaashi live his own life to the fullest.
Bokuto loved that about him. Everytime he was with Akaashi, it's like his already colorful life has gotten brighter. Not the bright that hurts your eyes, but the breathless kind of bright. It's like, having all the stars twinkle in the sky, but he was looking looking at him who couldn't compare to any of those.
Akaashi only wished that the grey clouds in his world wasn't permanent.
He wished he had more time to shower him with everything he has. Spend more moments in this bright world he has shared with him. Watch him play passionately. He wanted to watch him win, see that handsome smile on his face whenever he's gotten a victory.
He wanted to have so much with him in the future.
If only he didn't run out of time.
(Hallelujah)
Bokuto screams in pain the day his parents had revealed to him the truth about his sudden disappearance. His mother hugged him like he was a son she wished he had, as his father held back his own tears for the lost of his precious son. Bokuto cried harder— he wanted to yell out why he didn't tell him that he was suffering in silence.
He wanted to hold Akaashi through everything he has been going through.
All he did was give him the best years of his life.
And all those years, he's never known he was running out of time, yet still gave him all.
The buzzer rings in his ears, "BOKUTO!" he hears Hinata yell, like a robot, without emotion. He moves in for the final blow. Scoring for his team. He doesn't cheer.
"Bokuto! You can do it!"
Akaashi's parents. His solemn face looks up to the sidelines, he sees the two couple cheering him with a sad smiles.
His breath hitching with his heart pounding.
(You were an angel in the shape of my mum)
He thought he had just spotted some random stranger beside them.
But it was him.
Akaashi was smiling at him, laughing. His hands clapping, he sees his mouth move.
"Hey hey hey!"
His lips sighing out, and then smiling at him.
"Hey."
(You got to see the person that I have become)
Bokuto was standing proudly next to his teammates, ready to bow for the support of the people. His eyes never left Akaashi.
He has kept his promise.
"I'll watch you until you've achieved on being the best Ace!"
He can almost hear his voice beside him. He can feel tears well up in his eyes when he sees his figure becoming blurry.
(Spread your wings, And I know )
Like an angel, he was glowing, small wings behind his back fluttering. He was the only one who can see Akaashi. Hinata, and Atsumu glanced at eachother as they followed Bokuto's eyes to where he was staring. They had to stay strong for him.
"Keiji."
He whispered his name. He doesn't want him to go. He wants him to keep watching him, wait until he gets up there, and hold him. Tell him how much he meant to him like he did for him.
But he knows he was running out of time. So he just stares, his tears falling. People thinking it was from happiness.
But it was for him, Akaashi Keiji.
(that when God took you back he said Hallelujah )
"I love you."
He can see how his lips moved in those three words he's memorized.
He can only just wish he'd spent more time with him, given him more appreciation, gifts, love. He wished he could've made him stay longer in the world they've both made.
"I'm always watching over you, Kou."
He smiles sadly, raising his fist in the air as he watches him slowly blur away.
"I love you, Keiji. In another life. I'll find you again, and I'll never let you suffer in silence."
and I'll marry you. I'll make these list of dreams come true again. I promise. I'll make you the happiest than cry in silence. I'll make you stay, forever in happiness.
(You're home)
