yea as it stands the olympus chapter as a whole is something im prolly gonna retcon out of existing in cleoneverse/my personal go timeline/story

-all the “x character died uwu so sad” just is rlly grating and hammered in, and just rlly takes away from any real depth their lives could have had. like musashi is the one who rlly gets the short end of the stick here but roman in part 1 is also. no

-the atlantis cast is just overall way better, more likeable, and more good to see, and esp after this chapter i feel like they got shafted for just “ooh beast class whatever fake angst uuuu” and thats just shitty.

-the greek gods being a thing also pisses me off. i know its lb rules and that means no rules but it just annoys me that theyre servants in this. at most they should be like distant npcs but. whatever. no standards

-honestly the concept itself feels like one of those movie versions of a book or other thing that could and should be one movie, but is stretched out to make extra money and kinda misses the whole feeling of the book/original source in doing so.

as for cleone’s story of it

-basically lb5 will likely be just atlantis, with maybe a brief bit of olympus. something like.. the final confrontation w wodmine is in olympus, so orion and the squad fight from atlantis in the events of 5.1 while guda and friends fight from olympus. the previous squad prolly does all die still like canon, but its less like “your sacrifice was meaningless” and it has more meaning to it.

-if kadoc does get hurt, its not fatal, like w ophelia. possibly he’s unconscious for a long time, but they do manage to save him. (for the record, in cleoneverse oph is alive ish, but is basically in a coma and is being kept alive by super advanced sion’s stuff. but mashu and cleone havent given up on her). likely in kadocs case, nanashi steps in to protect him, and that ends up saving his life, as well as giving him more of a will to keep fighting.

-the olga stuff is still the same likely. her being beast class(?) is ehhh. but its a vast improvement over the fantheory that shes the alien god which sucks so i dont mind as much. cleone is super upset after seeing her, but not angry like her reunion w “roman” (where she had to be held back by mandy and mashu to keep from punching/fighting him), and more just frozen with a look of sadness on her face. mashu again likely has to snap her out of it, but cleone vows to save olga, just as she vowed to save roman.

-the ending is likely bittersweet ish, but better than canon (likely). cleone and the others make it out alive, but kadoc is barely alive, nanashi is wounded, and cleone is super shaken after seeing olga- not to mention all the deaths in atlantis still happened. after seeing kadoc being put on a cot next to oph, it really hits cleone hard a second time, mashu too. yu chan walks up from behind them, but instead of berating them just stares for a while at her former comrades, now stuck and fighting for their lives. none of them really know how this will turn out- who will survive, and how.

fgo headcanons bc fk canon sometimes

-unlike in canon sigh cleone!emiya is actually much more chill and less of a control freak to everyone. like if someone absolutely calls him he’d help out w cooking or whatever, but its just as likely to be boudicca, or tamacat, or literally anyone else w interest in cooking. hes known cleone for a while and respects the person shes grown into. doesnt have as much memories/importance of the s/n timeline, instead focusing more on the here and now. hes a little like a flustered “cool” teenager around his mom, dad, and sisters, and is less flippant and ignoring than canon.

-gray still has strong ties to her own world, but in cleone’s chaldea a lot of the ppl she knows arent there, so it was a little lonely for her at first. however, she became close friends with the shortly after summoned artoria lancer alter, especially since the two of them share the same lance.

-cleone doesnt treat anyone like a joke or put on mean airs to them, no matter how... eccentric they are. despite that theyre her dear friends that she cares for, and shes seen their true hearts. bb might get waaay too wrapped up in anime stuff and like.. elbows or whatever but she knows he pulls through when he needs to. kittan has a pretty burning feelings to put it mildly, but she and cleone have a lot less negative tension than the default relationship, and much more understanding. eminya might be aloof af and put on airs, but hes probably chilled out a lot since coming to chaldea. and ect and ect. even if its hard or “impossible” cleone puts so much effort into understanding or trying to understand her servants, and wont give up on them, and i think probably a lot of servants im not fond of by default, as well as ones that in the more “default” options get mistreated a lot, the relationship and “portrayal”? ig in cleoneverse is a little different.

like if the stuff w part 1, and w caddock living in second archive w nanashi for 3 months can be a thing, than cleone and her servants having a good relationship and everyone being more chill and less... frustrating is a thing too.

i think like.... characters like kasumi, kisumi, ritsu, cleone, ichihara ect. that are fully (relatively) fleshed out as characters i dont really mind interactions with? they are there for the sake of interaction after all. but ig i get a little self conscious abt ones besides that? like for instance moku and tomone serve roles, the role being to insert myself into the setting my boys originated in, and thats awesome and cool, but i feel a disconnect from them i dont think is entirely accurate? like i feel more like myself, as a separate entity, is watching like another person get with them, i feel like that like twelfth night-ian set up sorta thing

and why dont i feel that w like kasumi or kisumi who are self inserts? ig its bc the worlds of g-f and f-h are just so.... i dont really want to exist in them, the way the player is presented isnt a place i want to be in/a role i feel comfortable in. kisumi and kasumi are more like “if i was to exist in this world this is the role id be in” but bc its not a.... direct love for the world and everything in it its different ig. i think go is different for the sense that ive just known it so long? its like going home to an old friend for the main cast ish. feelings for sal a different matter entirely

whereas... using sal for an example, i want to be with him. not necessarily, not a character with a backstory and motivations and a history different from my own, just me. just this sort of.... (ive said it before, i dont really use my name when im doing stuff like this bc it makes me feel disconnected) me essence (and i get it is hard to talk w others bc what tf are they supposed to call me? its annoying and hard to communicate but its just how i feel). its like what ive always done w self insert sorta things before the more formal written ones, just my vague ish existence, sometimes in a world close to the real one, sometimes the “dropped into the anime world” thing, it depends. but its probably a place where no one calls me by name (nickname perhaps, but even then its a fleeting thing to be easily forgotten)

its understandably hard to communicate with others, but doing anything else w those certain relationships feels fake. in fact id say its closer to just describe sal and the others as “my favorite character, who i really like!” which i guess just makes me feel even more distance to the self insert culture and the “f/o” and other terms as a whole.

i do feel like the focus on events has been really.... unappealing to me at the best, draining at the worst. it seems like theres a new trend of one every few months, now its the letters, before it was the takeovers, and they just always seem... full of negative energy to me. people not getting any interaction on some ends and people getting a lot of interaction but still wanting more, i never see people happy for it more than like the usual heart tags on the posts. but then the next posts are like “um. xyz character hasnt given me a thing yet, get on it people :/” which is..... idk maybe i just am easily affected by negativity?

i had a really stressful and unpleasant time w the seasonal event this year too, so i think from then its just been a decline of kind of.. disillusionment of everything i liked ish in the past. which is unfortunate but hey what can u do
