it’s quite obvious through out the game that no one except for Elizabeth actually learns from their mistakes, gerard continuing to eat despite the fact that he literally died and came back to life after eating diseased meat, Nicholas who continued to search for immortality after his wife died and the lake cursed him for it, and David who became a fly creature after being a cocky bitch, and continued to be a cocky bitch. even Jakob, who doesn’t learn from his previous mistake and falls right into the trap his family set to kill him

the fact that the island is name “Paradise” obviously shows that it may have been paradise before when Caroline was still around, but now that she’s dead makes the name a paradox, since 10 plagues can’t possibly be paradise

how the lake is sentient and essentially is a god, requiring memories to sustain itself and feeding on people, turning them into corrupted souls and making them immortal, but likely in constant pain.

how some people were lucky enough to get the formula and achieve immortality, like the Eilander family, but others like William Vanderboom were trapped as a corrupted soul (before he got Rose to resurrect him)

down to the fact that the last name Eilander literally means “Islander” in dutch and they live on an island

Hylians are an ethnoreligious group of humans(like Jews) and the Sheikah are a specific community within that ethnicity(like Ashkenazi or Beta Israeli). Gerudo is a different ethnicity of humans. Since Hylians got their pointy ears from magic(supposedly) instead of evolution, maybe the Gerudo only have one male child a century because of magic too*.

Since ethnicity and "race" are different things, you can have Black Hylians, white Gerudo, etc. All other species have a variety of appearances too.

Ordonian, Holdodrumite(??), Labrynnan, etc are national identities.

Humans, Gorons, Zora, Rito, Zonai, etc are different species of people. They can fall in love with each other but likely can't reproduce. Zonai can have babies with Hylians which has interesting implications(Zonai magically evolved from humans who stayed in the sky?????)

Holodrumite Gorons are culturally different from Hyrulean Gorons. Zora cities in different areas have distinct architecture depending on the available materials.

finally finished my mane six redesigns! ive been toying around with these for ages now. height comparison and design notes under the cut!

earth ponies are naturally stocky, with tough hooves covered only partially by their fetlocks. very strong tails which they can use to sweep or whack things. their snouts dont curve like other ponies

pegasi are typically lithe, with hollow bones. their coats are thicker than other ponies, designed to keep them warm at high altitudes. their hooves are covered by a thin layer of velvet to keep them protected during flying. they also have excellent hearing! hence their longer ears

unicorns are considered graceful and beautiful. they have cloven hooves, and long fetlocks. their hair tends to be wavy. their have long tails that serve only for aesthetics. they have shorter, more smooth snouts. they also, regardless of gender, have beards!

each of the pony races have a "heart mark" on their back left hoof, which first appears as a simple heart at birth, and later changes to match their cutie mark more closely

applejack; her tail is kept short to avoid it getting in the way of work. the green in her mane comes from her pear blood. her cutie mark is meant to look like a quilt piece. similarly, her handkerchief is filled with references to her family and loved ones. lastly, her hat has stitching of a gem and a heart

fluttershy; i gave her a very deer like appearance, and markings on her wings to resemble birds. her ears are a bit longer, to resemble a bunny! she has small wings that are really only good for gliding. shes part unicorn (idk i just thought itd be cute if one of her parents was a unicorn) she used to keep her mane long but rarity was horrified by how many twigs and leaves she picked up, so she convinced shy to cut it. she quite likes it!

pinkie pie; PIEBALD PINKIE. gave her blue stripes to bring cotton candy to mind. her design is very asymmetrical which just feels very pinkie! even her eyes, they heterochromatic. the left being blue, and the right yellow. she keeps her hair up most of the time so it doesnt get in her way (during baking, party planning, baby sitting, ect) ALSO FAT PINKIE RIGHTS

rainbow dash; i wanted her coat to resemble the sky, hence the markings on her legs. her mane and tail are kept short to keep them out of her way. she is rarely seen without googles, as she wears them when she flys to protect her eyes

rarity; FAT RARITY RIGHTS. ahem. her eyes are green (small play on being green with envy) and she has poor eyesight, so she wears her glasses regularly. honestly, hers is pretty simple but i wanted it to be elegant, and beautiful

twilight sparkle; her design more closely resembles the sky at twilight now. deep purple fading into golden yellow. i had to keep her pink, but swapped purple in her hair for yellow cause the rainbow power ups got One thing right (also lends more cohesion to her design) becoming an alicorn granted star markings across her coat, which you can see constellations in! (only two but.. shush) i also changed her hair to resemble equestria girl's scitwi more. its just a cute look

i am an autistic little freak with no life, and bill cipher has been my special interest for the last 8 years. i’m not sane. november of last year i got the idea to write down every single quote ever said by bill because i have his lines nearly memorized and listening to/reading his dialogue makes me incredibly happy. so, i spent the next few months (yes this took me way longer than it should have, having AuDHD did not make this easy in the slightest) writing down every. single. line. including everything he’s written in the books and his entire reddit AMA.

with the focus on the revolving door again in ep 16, i just want to say a little smth abt the door as an autistic person myself.

i know some ppl are frustrated with wyw's difficulty in using the door, saying it infantilizes her and that "she's a 27 year old lawyer, she's seen a revolving door before, she knows how they work." but the thing is, it's not abt her being familiar with revolving doors at all. at least not in the way you think. it's not "oh look at this lady, she doesn't understand this door bc she's autistic." it's a sensory issue.

autism affects our senses and the way we process them. what many allistics don’t understand about autism is that we’re not just overly sensitive to sounds and bright lights. we can be underly (is that a word??) sensitive to stimulus as well and have a hard time controlling our senses. this includes all seven senses. that right, seven. there’s the five you know, but also two you probably don’t: the vestibular sense and proprioception. these two have to do with body awareness, balance, and spatial orientation. that’s why many of us walk “weirdly” (if i ever catch you saying someone walks weirdly i am coming into your house and punching you in the face) or are clumsy. we have issues with our bodies in relation to the world around us and often have a hard time balancing. i walk into walls all the time and miscalculate and walk into doorways instead of through them. 

so it’s not that wyw doesn’t understand the social concept of a revolving door, but that they’re difficult to navigate through due to her vestibular and proprioceptive sensory issues. i myself have a hard time with revolving doors! so pls no more “this makes her look dumb” or “this is so unrealistic”. if wyw is bad representation and is stupid for having problems with a revolving door, then i’m an unrealistically stupid autistic that walks into walls.
