Lore for the googly mask

With the new suits (better traction and it doesn't heat up like crazy), one of the masked was printed wrong and somehow ended up in the comp (some employee must of thought it would be funny to put the misprinted mask up on the wall.

Everyone's got their eyes on this player cuz of how distinct their face becomes. Even the monster takes a second when he sees them, like, what is this weirdo?

Disturbing lack of trust between them- Frankie is distilled capitalism and the Contestant is willing to kill, they know better

The Contestant knows that if the show ever gets too boring, Frankie is willing to kill them and get a new cohort, just like Monster Frankie. Frankie knows that if the Contestant ever feels too unsafe or bored, they are willing to kill him.

It becomes a running joke between them. Someone in chat once asked if they trusted each other and they started laughing

Still, there's just a little bit of care

"Lucky contestant-!" "My name's Morgan." "Nope, if I name you, I'll get attached." "Then let go of my hand." "No."

Frankie modified the Contestant's suit to mark them and got them knives. They're very nice knives.

The Contestant and Frankie divide paperwork since Frankie has issues holding pens and pencils.

Frankie dragged a laptop out of storage in order to work and watch the Contestant practice parkour- he's not quite used to being alone

The Contestant's stream will flood the chat with rabbit emojis if Frankie pops up.

Both get annoyed if someone derides the show.

You know for a character who doesn't have facial expressions, its amazing how at the end when The Contestant comes back. That second time they cut to Frankie you can just feel the "what the fuck" coming from him

Human Element

Frankie is intelligent.

He has to be, otherwise the company would've gone bankrupt years ago, back when he killed the CEO and the board. He's intelligent enough to know that the show should've been changed up years ago, but stubbornness and overall lack of care for humanity made him wait. 

At least he got a prize in the cereal box.

On screen, there's a scream.

A human element brings more eyes, more money, more... First it was just the contestant running around and surviving way longer than the usual seconds or minutes. Now they're the Contestant.

The show is now hours long, instead of minutes, and the viewers love it. On screen, number 2 falls to the Contestant's knife. Frankie watches as his partner in crime stabs and peels them open. Number 4 and 1 sprint into the next room, number 3 dead at the start.

The Contestant lets them run. Instead, they crane their head up, meeting the gaze of the camera. 

They wipe the blade on the black of their uniform, it now resembling more of a magician's outfit to mark them.

If he could, Frankie grins wider. The Contestant nods, as if they saw, and starts marching to the next room.

He needed a human element too.
