I've never seen the Crocodile Hunter show, and only know about Steve Irwin from cultural osmosis. But I do have a DVD of the Crocodile Hunter movie "Collision Course" and it is fucking surreal.

Is the show always like this? In the first twenty minutes satellites are exploding, the CIA is doing something shady that I wasn't paying attention to, David Wenham is having a standoff with a gun happy redneck stereotype, and Steve is diving off of a boat into a river in the middle of the night to wrestle a crocodile. I don't even know what's happening.

LeBron James might be out of the NBA playoffs, but he’s still angling to be a big part of the summer entertainment season. That’s because HBO Max’s list of new releases for July 2021 is highlighted by a very special sequel.

Space Jam: A New Legacy premieres on July 16. will find LeBron teaming up with the Looney Tunes in a Warner Bros. IP-extravaganza. Can ‘Bron and the Looney Tunes beat the Goon Squad before Warner Bros.’ server steals LeBron “Bronny” Jr.’s soul (or something)? Let’s hope so. The two other major WB releases this month, No Sudden Move and Tom and Jerry in New York, both come to HBO Max on July 1.

HBO Max is also bringing some fun TV shows to its stream this month. The long-awaited Gossip Girl revival premieres on July 8. That will be followed by Mike White’s satirical limited series The White Lotus on July 11. Ronan Farrow’s excellent book Catch and Kill gets a docuseries adaptation on July 12.

July 1 will see the arrival of library titles like Planet of the Apes, Reservoir Dogs, and Scream. Recent hit Judas and the Black Messiah comes to HBO Max on that date as well. It’s a good month for geek TV with the Doctor Who 2020 Christmas Special (July 1), Nancy Drew season 2 (July 3), and Batwoman season 2 (July 27) all coming home to their streaming residence.

Queen 30 day challenge Day 1

Okay so since we’re all under quarantine due to this Corona virus shit, now’s a good a time to relax and get to know our fellow Internet friends.  Since joining the BoRhap/Queen fandom I’ve been more connected with my tumblr users than ever before in like the last 2-3years since I started this blog. So inspired by @ure-gonna-loveme-when-u-seeme​‘s recent post, I figure I’d let you all know me a little bit better when it comes to my Queen fandom base. Starting with the first question of the day;

Day 1: How did I get into Queen?

Well like most young people my age, I sadly never did get to know Queen when they went starting off, or becoming the Rock Gods they became, or go see any of their shows, hell I was born 5 years after Freddie passed away. But I sorta grew up on their music in passing.

The first ever Queen song I heard was “We Will rock you” (I was maybe.....5-6yrs old?) when it played for an ad trailer for the Crocodile Hunter: Collision course movie. Of course I had no idea who was singing the song, I just liked the feel of it and kinda thought nothing else of it. Then when Happy Feet (yes the animate penguin movie) came out and I heard Brittney Murphy (RIP) sing “Somebody to love” that song really hit me as probably one of my ALL. TIME. FAV. SONGS. FF to some years later I heard through Just Dance 3/4 (I can’t remember I’ll have to look back but I’m pretty sure it’s 3) I heard Crazy little thing called love and thought that was a pretty groovy song to dance to.

But again it was only just a few songs throughout my life that Queen popped in and out of. Hell I didn’t finally hear Bohemian Rhapsody till literally months before the film came out when my English class had to do a ‘Scientology theory’ activity on. (It was musical chairs with the song BoRhap. We were each given one piece of candy, and everytime someone got out, they had to surrender the candy. Last one standing gets the entire class set of candy. I came in 3rd place SOOO CLOSE).

But then on that November weekend back in 2018 I went and saw the film and my interest in Queen, a band whose music came in and out of my life, just SHOOOOOM. Skyrocketted (as I’m sure it did everyone else).

From then on I saw the film 2 more times, watched any documentary I could find. Scrolled through Amazon music to listen to more of their songs and found more and more of them to like. Watched interviews they did, concerts, etc. 

From then on I became a Queenactic, (my dad says that my knowledge of Queen compares to his knowledge of Rush. And he is a HUUUUUUUGGGGE RUSH fan). So yeah that’s a little information about me and how I became a Queen fan.
