Indie-rock was the popular music genre in my teenage years (2008-2015) and I loved it ❤️and I don't care what people say about the genre today, I still love it because it's bright and optimistic and right now I'm so fucking tired of pessimistic/angry alternative music, especially post-punk shit.

We live in a very hard historical moment and since 2020 it's only gotten worse. And by that I don't mean that in my youthful years the world wasn't fucked up, it always has been. But the crisis we are living now is especially hard, the little social-political welfare in which we lived deluded has ended up being diluted and now the world is more hostile than ever... but I'm still so happy that my soundtrack of those youthful days was so happy and sweet ... thank you life!

"Netflix cancels show because of capitalism" is true but they aren't even succeeding at capitalism. Pretty much all streaming services are hemorrhaging money right now. In their desperate attempts to win at capitalism, they are failing at capitalism. They are killing art for the sake of a pretend profit they never receive. Pathetic.
