People on reddit are mad about bnha's ending because Deku didn't get the girl, and ended up alone (debatable) and powerless. Meanwhile I and most of tumblr hate the ending because of how dirty the villains were done and because hero society didn't change for shit lol

top 5 great moments in otherwise dogshit shows??
HMMMMMMMMM this is hard because when I don't like a show I usually just stop watching it lol. But I did make an effort to watch Every Single Heisei Rider (yes ik I still have to watch Kuuga and Hibiki didn't have good subs when I decided to do this) and more or less succeeded and did not have a good time with a lot of them so Here. Perhaps some controversial takes incoming lol
Yuto and Deneb's tearful lil hug and make up was very cute even if I loathed basically every single moment of Kamen Rider Den-O. (<-guy who is completely immune to manzai comedy to the point of actively disliking it.)
the whole Onari and Javert plotline in Kamen Rider Ghost was really cool and honestly I wish they cut like 90% of whatever the fuck else was going on with Makoto and Alain to follow them a bit more. Like, a goofy-ass monk rehabilitating a born soldier who thinks he has no purpose but to serve a genocidal prince... chef kiss
Magical Girl Beast >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kamen Rider Wizard
ok so Kiva is objectively awful in over 9000 different ways HOWEVER basically every scene with Otoya and Jiro is gold and the famous bathtub scene especially. I'd also posit that Kiva has some really great fight scenes as well despite the suit nearly killing Takaiwa lol
I was going to include Gaim here too because I hated Gaim but I genuinely can't think of a moment in it that I liked that wasn't just "looking at Takatora" which I don't think necessarily counts as "great moments" so much as "great casting". Well what is tokusatsu for if not eye candy for boylikers

[its own post and not in the tags] five years later i have spent muuuuuuuuuuch time agonizing over finding the limits of my responsibilities and the exactitudes of my fuckups and how profusely and heartfelt i would apologize for them if he ever came wanting one. however i also suspect unless he got more well-balanced about a lot of things real quick in this time that he would put more blame on me than im interested in taking.
and now that im no longer thinking about this every single day ive lost some of the authenticity of my desire to prostrate myself in repentance and go for the more kneejerk instinct to blame /him/ for more than he was actually responsible for lol. and some like. preemptive unfair irritation at the expectation of him blaming me for things.
and so [avpd wins!] i still think the best option for both of us is to continue not crossing paths and dredging this up lol. bc i think all i could manage politely is the heartfelt but precise apology and then i would have nothing else i wanted to interact w him about without fighting kjsfg. thank u me every day for irritating him into giving up the pretense about wanting to stay friends so i could work this all out in the privacy of my brain and not At him

So I was thinking about drawing the various romance interests in I was a teenage exocolonist and I’m not super sure whether or not to include utopia? I haven’t even tried to romance her but as far as I’m aware you can in the epilogue, so do you consider utopia a love interest?

i'm barely a writer at this point so idk but ngl i'm kinda fascinated by people who raise the question of "if you normally don't like X, then why did you click on my fic in the first place, HMMM?". yknow, i mean, idk how other people do it, maybe it's just me, but i sorta author-jump? and sometimes an author i like has written something i usually don't enjoy, and sometimes i click out of pure curiosity. and when i don't like it, i click out, yeah, it's a nope for me! but when i do like or even adore it, i comment. positively. it's That Simple 4 me

Omg you talked about 2012 TMNT and I suddenly remembered how much of that show I watched when I was younger,,, oh the nostalgia. I don't remember all too much from it now but I remember loving it. I've never watched rottmnt but like. I probably should if it's as good as everyone has been saying it is
honestly i only watched a little bit of 2012 as a kid, i was never super into that style/genre of cartoon so i only watched it if it happened to come on hjsdghj
rottmnt is SO good. it's very very different to 2012 in a lot of ways, but the art and the writing and the voice acting are all sososo good. the characterization for all the turtles is super different as well so if youre used to a snarky Raph and a. well. a Rob Paulsen Donnie. you might not vibe with Rise at first
but thats one of the things i really love about the entire franchise, each version keeps the core concept (four mutant turtles raised by a rat are trained to be ninjas) and most of the characters the same while also all being really unique and having different takes on all the characters. i enjoy this aspect of the franchise to the point that im making my own fan reboots and everything hjksdhg
the main reason i initially watched Rise was because i heard Donnie was really good autistic rep and i have to agree, ive never connected with a character this much before hgjsdhg hes also a really good example of low empathy imo, and i very much feel like my own experience with low empathy is being represented here
the art is something i see people complain about a lot when theyre coming from a background of watching 2012 or 2003, and i definitely felt like the art was kinda weird at first, but it's also so fun and striking and as you get used to it and start picking up on little details it gets better and better
a lot of classic TMNT villains dont make appearances in Rise, and the ones who do are WAY different to the older versions, but they also have a whole ton of new villains who are super cool and compelling as well (Draxum and Big Mama my beloved <3)
the movie can technically be watched as a standalone but i highly recommend saving it til youve watched both seasons because HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THE EMOTIONS. the scene that always makes me cry probably wouldnt hit me the way it does if i didnt have all the background of the seasons
notes on where to watch though: netflix has season 1 and the movie, but i dont actually know how to legally watch season 2, and the site i used for it unfortunately shut down so i can provide links :(
oh god this got really long can you tell tmnt has entered special interest territory for me
