Yo wants to trust that this time could be different. she wants to believe that Plug could hold her & not break her- that he'll take care of her. she wants to rest in this beautiful connection she's found.

she could've been sarcastic or cutting here- easy enough when you're hurting & terrified- but instead, she made herself vulnerable by expressing her wanting.

Ray desperately wants to be loved unconditionally, despite the hurt, the trauma & the burden of addiction that he still bears. he wants a life with Sand- a second chance.

Sand wants to be able to trust in this, to have this too- so much that he pushes past his hurt (fear too, probably) & tells Ray he can't live without him, either.

Boston wants to give a type of relationship he’s never experienced a chance, & he makes it known.

Top found something so authentic & true with Mew. he doesn't just want Mew- he wants him to trust in him, in them. Mew didn't answer him here with words, but I think he'll get there.

what makes this all so profound is that these aren't surfacey, simple wants. these are wants that sleep next to your bones like a secret, aching wound.

you know the kind…we all have at least one.

it's a personal truth- often rooted in past pain- that when given a voice lays you bare. some of us spend our entire lives running from moments like these. we'll sabotage ourselves, drive away good people or keep ourselves busy- all to (maybe, hopefully) forget the wanting.

it takes time, self reflection & a fuckton of bravery to make it known, but when you do? you're saying yes to yourself. life will never not hurt us, but giving other people the chance to meet you where you are & give you what you need? to love you, care for you- see you?

that's when you start living. really, actually.

So. I'm enjoying The Sign, but I don't know if it's a *nuance in language that doesn't come through subtitles* issue or a storyline flop, but every time Tharn tells Yai specifically that he can't love anyone (because offscreen romance that is only mentioned but not established or shown and only comes up for ze drahma?) I cringe so hard.

We have heard how much Yai loves Sand and seen a little, but 90% of his screen time is showing how much he loves and cares about Tharn. It's gotta hurt SO MUCH to hear his little brother worry over and over again about he can't love people while loudly and proudly loving him every second.

I get the gist of what that part of the narrative is (trying) to do and why he needs to feel that way, but also :| Fuck you Yai and Grandma apparently.

I can't believe I Will Knock You blindsided us the way it did.

I mean, the preview for this ep already pointed towards that the conflict would come from Thi's parents (and congrats, that's some A++ douchebaggery on their part). It just never occurred to me that it'd be Noey to give up and let Thi go.

Despite all of his plans, despite his "Thiwa, my love", despite Thi holding his hand first and giving in more and more.

And it's not even unreasonable or cowardly. He's acutely aware (thanks Thi's parents) that he doesn't belong with Thi, and who is he to overrule filial piety?

But still, it hurt so much when his gaze dropped and he put up his guard in order to be able to tell Thi that he'll go back to flirting with Pam.

My only hope (well, that and the fact that a happy ending is pretty much a given) is that Thi's parents actually already like him - they just don't know it yet. What they've seen of Noey so far were all their own assumptions are prejudices. But they loved his food, and I'm pretty sure they'll come to love Noey, too, once they get to know him - just like their son did.

What Akk did is inexcusable, however he’s been carrying an immense (and dangerous) amount of guilt with him for it. He could’ve done without Thua outing him in a place where his reputation determines his future. If Thua had decided to have a conversation about this, he would have known. Also, Ayan has been an amazing friend to Thua - why treat him this way (take his notebook, out his boyfriend). And last but not least, The World Remembers-boys could’ve done without the added trauma of death threats from Thua’s hand. Thua’s queer himself and he’s been living with a bully - he should have known better. There’s a million different ways he could have handled this.

Anyway babes, this episode messed me up..
