According to Bruce Miller, Luke and June are meant to be the “core” of this season and I don’t know, I just think it’s funny that Luke and June being on the same page and trying to be a couple essentially means that Luke is just starting to do things that Nick has done or would’ve done if he was with June.

Like Nick risked everything to help June murder Fred

 and now Luke is on board with June potentially killing Serena, even saying he might kill her himself

What’s more is just before June kills Fred, she and Nick share that kiss

and when Luke tells June that he might kill Serena or might let her kill Serena, they have sex

Even the way Luke confronts Serena about getting Hannah back or vacating the premises

is like when Nick kept Fred from following June or alerting people to her escape in the season 2 finale by threatening him with his gun.

Nick risked everything to get June out of Gilead to keep her and Holly safe (twice), Luke is now risking everything to go back into Gilead with June for Hannah.

And I think it’s so transparent.
