HAPPY FRIDAY! "you say childish like it's a bad thing but I see you eyeing that life size Pokémon plush don't kid yourself " For Willie + anyone, because I feel he would be the best enabler.

"You feel like a pretzel?" Alex asked as they walked through the mall, hands swinging between them.

"Always," Willie replied, pulling him towards the store, smiling wide in that way that made his eyes all squinty-Alex's favourite one.

It was a lazy Saturday, they were just trawling around the mall before their movie started, and there was no where else either of them would rather be. Splitting a frozen lemonade and pretzels on a bench watching the families pass them by.

One family had a girl with pigtails who dragged her mother towards the mini carousel demanding change to make the ride work.

"Man I wish I wasn't too big to ride that thing," Willie said wistfully, gazing as the horses went around.

"Really?" Alex asked, "Isn't that kind of childish?"

Willie turned and smiled. "You say childish like it's a bad thing. But I saw you eyeing that life sized Pokémon plush, don't kid yourself."

Alex held up a finger in protest and then dropped it. "It was a Snorlax bean bag chair and it looked comfy," she said grumpily. "Also it was like $300 so I'll never be able to justify buying it."

"What about a Jigglypuff snapback? I know you love that pink puffball," Willie said.

"You just want an excuse to get the Gengar Squishmallow," Alex said, but he still pulled Willie from the bench and towards the Pokémon store.

"You think if I asked Caleb nice enough he'd get me the beanbag chair?" Willie wondered aloud.

"Only if you're okay with me stealing it in the middle of the night," Alex replied.

"I think it's big enough to share," Willie replied.

"Still can't afford it yet Speed Bump," Alex said, pulling them both away from said chair and towards the stuffies. "C'mon I'll buy you a Gengar."

"You want the snapback?" Willie said, waving the pink hat around.

"Nah, rather get the plushie version, then Gengar and Jigglypuff can be friends," Alex replied, hugging tight a toy of his favourite Pokémon. "Maybe go on dates?"

"Alex are you shipping the Pokémon?" Willie asked with a faux affronted gasp. "And you call me childish?"

"Shut up, shut up, shut all the way up," Alex said. "Or you're buying your own Gengar."

"See if I let you sleep on my giant sized Snorlax then," Willie said, sticking out his tongue.

"Oh real mature," Alex retorted, snatching both plushies up and bringing them to the counter. Only going back to grab the snapback at the last second. "Let's go."

"You wanna go to the skatepark with our new friends?" Willie asked as they exited the mall.

"Only if you're buying us all ice cream later."

Willie nodded in agreement, and they went on their way. The ice cream was delicious, but the pictures they took of the four of them on a date were absolutely adorable.
