*whispers* You aren't less cringe-inducing by simply replacing the word "bishonen" with "twink". There is an intersection, yes, but the words mean different things. Trying to replace 2000s internet slang with 1970s gay slang does not make you sound progressive, it makes you sound like you have no idea what a twink is.

And, let's face it, both of those words existed for a very long time before you decided one was outdated.

I feel like part of the reason some want Claude to be bi is that they unconsciously lean toward the stereotype of bissexual men being extroverted and flirting with everyone (see Niles and Yuri). I don't mind it all that much by itself, but it's really annoying when you see some of them dismiss Dimitri as bi because the stuck up introverted white prince HAS to be straight. He is for the status quo (no?) so apparently he can't be bi? Because apparently being queer = being progressive?

There were indeed a number of intersecting factors that got fanon bi Claude popular and then kept it popular for years even with Three Houses offering little to go off in actuality. There's the typecasting as you said as well as the fandom faction wars and lingering perceptions of which characters are progressive and which are not, and then there's Dimileth which is easily Dimitri's biggest pairing in fandom and which tends to eclipse his abundant queer subtext even if people do seem to be generally aware of it. Naturally though those determined to hate Dimitri have their lines for both Dimidue and Dimilix: the former is vilified as a racist white savior pairing, while the latter is dismissed as fujoshi bait (because Felix is a tsundere bishonen, and such) or snubbed in favor of the more popular Sylvix.

It's all a lot of messy fandom wank, and I suppose I'm mildly interested in seeing what if anything Three Hopes does to alter the discourse on this topic.

Just want to talk about the Identity v x Junji Itou crossover skins.

So far there are just three. Lucky Guy, Wu Chang, and Dream Witch have skins from that horror/anime.

I re-read and will re watch the episodes but I want to talk about if they are given some sort of abilities. I don't know if the characters' skins are just for dressing up the characters or they are also given an ability. I don't know, I never play the game and hopefully get an answer.

Anyway...

For Wu Chang's ability as the black and white bishonen. As a Hunter, he or they can make female Survivors come towards them and make them stop what they are doing for ten seconds. Which allows them to be captured and chaired. Males Survivors will not be affected by them.

Dream Witch as Tomie can do the same thing except for the male Survivors. Probably make them more aggressive at other Survivors in their team. It will last for seconds. As for Dream Witch, she can use her charm one time for each Survivor playing against her. It will not work on female Survivors.

As for Lucky Guy wearing Souichi skin, maybe he have dolls of the Hunters and use nails to stun them when he hits the Dolls.

Thanks for letting me know! That sure was a short campaign. I read on Japanese forums that a level based on the streets from Intersection Bishonen was supposed to be added, but can’t seem to find any footage or screenshots of it anywhere.
