It had been a long time coming.
Hamish knew what was going on with him. He knew what that feeling in his chest was when he looked at Y/n. He knew why his fingers twitched when Y/n had a hair out of place, or something smeared on his face. He knew why he tended to lean into Y/n, like he was magnetic, and why he protected him more than anyone else. Why he listened to Y/n talk about things that Hamish otherwise found incredibly dull and a waste of time. Why he let Y/n invade his space and do things he’d murder any of the others for doing - like making drinks with his special cups. He knew what it meant when Y/n stole a random shirt and it happened to be Hamish’s and when he wore it around, it made the poor TA unable to move or breathe or think.
If any of that wasn’t obvious enough, he gave himself away with his thoughts. The ones that took him through a day distracted because he was thinking about what Y/n was wearing, or his smile or voice or laugh or touch. The ones that excitedly counted down the seconds until Hamish could see him again. The ones that had him waking up gasping from dreams he did not want to think about... the ones that followed him in the daytime too, dreaming even with his eyes open and smiling to himself at the fantasies his stupid little mind came up and tortured him with.
Hamish knew he was in love with Y/n.
That wasn’t the problem.
Y/n was another TA, and worked for one of the math teachers - physics. They had initially bonded over people thinking their subject boring and hard and ridiculous and unnecessary. The men had exchanged so many jokes about it they’d started to wonder if the other would be able to understand their subject. So they’d done lesson plans together, and then... kept doing that, because it was a lot easier and more pleasant to do it with someone else.
Now they were friends...
But Hamish wasn’t human. Not really. He was a Knight, a wolf. He was caught in a war of magic and moral greyness. One that held either death or misery for everyone who was apart of it. He couldn’t have a relationship in this world - he had tried once, and it had failed. Now more than ever, he was surrounded with failing relationships that reminded even more that it just wouldn’t work.
And even if it did, how could he ever subject Y/n to this world? He was already stressed, even if he did talk about having adventures and becoming a hero. Even if he did like fantasy books and studied mythology lore. Even if he dreamed of more... he didn’t actually understand what he was asking for. While Y/n was busy dreaming of magic, Hamish wished he could join him. Wished he didn’t know. That he had never even looked at or touched or smelled any of it.
And yet, he’s in love with him.
So really it was inevitable.
In one way or another, Hamish expected Y/n to learn what was going on. Learn about the secrets Hamish had been hiding from him. If not the shifty behavior, perhaps the actual magical battle that happened on the porch of the den, or the fear eating demon that went around, or the wolves who had lost their memories freaking out when they heard magic, or the hundreds and hundreds of memory altering spells that began rolling in as magic got closer and closer to being exposed.
He had accounted for everything.
Except for this.
Because how could it go any other way. Right?
Hamish tried to calm his breathing. Tried to clear his mind. Tried to steady his heartbeat. He hadn’t known what to expect when today had gone oh so wrong. Alyssa’s funeral had been today, and Lilith was still trying to get back into hell as they tried to figure out what exactly to do about the whole situation. And... then there was Y/n.
He had come to the funeral mostly to support Hamish. Y/n had only met her once, and it had been brief. She was in his class and had missed a day a while back when she caught the flu. Of course, it had actually been because she was losing sleep trying to come up with a memory dust that would actually wipe the wolves’ minds so they wouldn’t be killed - but details, details right?
The point was, Y/n shouldn’t have even been there. Maybe at the funeral, but not after. Not when the wolves and magicians all gathered around the trunk a way aways from the crowd that had been dispersing. Everyone was going home, and even if they did look over they’d see a bunch of people who had been close to Alyssa gathered together over a trunk. Hamish wondered, looking back, if that was what Y/n had seen. Maybe a trunk of Alyssa’s things, being discussed over.
Whatever he saw, it worried him enough to approach. None of them noticed - they were too distracted by the way the trunk bucked, jerking as if something inside was trying to get out.
They all knew what that meant.
Unfortunately, that made no damn sense. Everyone currently in the group was already wolfed up, except Vera whose face was twisted with horror as she feared that she was about to be chosen by not just any wolf pelt, but Alpha.
It wasn’t Vera.
The chest fell onto its side, stilling for a second.
“Is everything okay over here, guys?”
Hamish watched his life turn into a horror movie in slow motion. Of all the terrible things he’d faced, watching in bullet time as the trunk exploded open and the pelt launched out from inside, swallowing a wide eyed Y/n whole - that was the worst thing Hamish had ever seen or experienced. Nothing could top this.
Thankfully most of the people were gone and Jack acted quickly, rushing Y/n into the woods and even further away from anyone who might see anything. Y/n didn’t seem to be on the attack for anyone specific, but when any of the other wolves went to stop him, Y/n would growl and his teeth would bare and they all felt a pull to obey. To kneel. To listen.
Not even Hamish had seen anyone take to Alpha so well as Y/n.
The next few days had been hectic. Catching Y/n up on the reality of life had been a lot, and with the new emotions of Alpha driving him, his usual placid nature was becoming aggravated. The more they tried to teach or place Y/n in a situation he felt out of control in, the more agitated he seem to become, reactions arranging anywhere from verbally retaliating to literally trying to bite someone’s head off.
The turn for the better had kicked off when Lilith had tried to claw her way back to Hell yet again an Y/n had been able to stop her. She may be a demon, but she had been a wolf first, and as Timber still lived on inside of her, he answered to Alpha before anything else.
It was what seemed to have pushed Alpha to find a host. Timber was trapped in Lilith until she died and if she was a demon, it meant she’d be nearly if not completely immortal. Which meant Timber would be lost forever. The wolves may not totally care about their hosts but they did care about each other - first and foremost.
A weird relationship formed between Y/n and all the other wolves because of this.
Not only did Lilith, a demon, listen to him despite all her best efforts, so did Randall. Even with his dumbest ideas and impulses were satiated by a strong word or look from Y/n. Jack’s craziest plans were paused, and with some pressure they all finally slowed down - which meant they made better plans, but no one was happy about it. Gabrielle tried to flirt to get out from under Y/n’s gaze, which seemed to sear deeply into all of their souls, but even she found her eyes averting when Y/n pressed issues and shut her attitude down, or stopped her when she was lashing out or treating someone badly.
Hamish was weak to Y/n, but the other wolves knew that wasn’t because of Alpha.
The real tragedy was that Y/n wasn’t doing it on purpose. He tried so hard all the time to not to, in fact, and cringed every time he shut down Jack or Randall, or silenced Gabrielle or brought Lilith to a stand still. He recoiled physically when Hamish would stop dead in the middle of a sentence, or how he backed down far too quickly from his team leader role the second Y/n was in the room.
He really couldn’t help it though. Not only because Alpha didn’t hesitate a second to flex his authority over everyone else in the group, but because Y/n was a very assertive person. Never in an overbearing way, but more in a mom friend way. When he spoke, people listened. When his students goofed around or did something stupid all he needed to do was shoot them a look and they’d usually calm down. It wasn’t new that Y/n walked into a room and held authority - it was a problem that he hadn’t earned the authority he had with the Knights. It’s was even by choice - Alpha’s wolf magic or whatever the fuck was forcing the other wolves to listen to Y/n, and it made him the most uncomfortable - even more uncomfortable than Gabby and Lilith who constantly bit that this was incredibly sexist.
The second turn for the better came full circle when Y/n seemed to get his impulses under control.
At first he avoided speaking or eye contact, still radiating that aura of power but containing it as best he could. This is when Hamish would take over again, working with Vera to help the rest of the group.
After that, it was that he could speak, or make eye contact, but not at the same time without triggering some Alpha power. Very quickly he learned how to do both and still not inflict his will on other people.
Then Y/n became a much better leader, making suggestions and letting his own charisma and good ideas influence others rather than influencing everyone via force. He earned his spot the right way, eventually reaching a place where he and Hamish were sort of co-leaders.
Y/n was struggling though. Even with his powers slowly getting under control, Y/n constantly beat himself up and felt horribly guilty when Lilith would freak out and Y/n was forced to use his abilities to stop her from escaping. Then kept her in a demon circle in the basement, trapped for now but ready to escape at any second.
Even with powers aside, Y/n was struggling with this new world he now had to face. He was curious, and asked lots of questions and generally seemed to enjoy it, but... that joy seemed to drain a little, more and more as bad things started to happen. Y/n had thought magic was cool until someone used it for evil, or until the ringing made him shift and kill people, or some seriously fucked up shit started to bubble up.
He struggled to wrap his head around it as they all did in the beginning, and as he battled with his dreams coming true versus realizing those dreams had only been half of the story and that there was actually a darkness to this life he had once wanted, Hamish suffered more and more. His relationships had been hopeless before, but now that was gone. Now it was so much worse, because not only was Y/n’s suffering greater and his view of the world darkened, but Hamish desperately yearned for him.
That was the thing about Y/n. He might have lost some of his vigor, but at his core he still believed that people were more inclined to be good than evil. That those who made bad decisions were just lost, and usually searching for something else entirely but had been convinced that their current way was the only way to get what they really wanted. The vampire wasn’t a sadistic killer, they just needed to eat. The Order wasn’t cruel and power hungry, they were hiding who they really were in a world they feared would reject and attack them. They felt out of control and ultimately scared - being brought to your knees wasn’t for everyone.
His compassion and mercy only made him so much more amazing in Hamish’s eyes. Y/n was a great leader, and even better when he worked closely at Hamish’s side. Randall began to joke that the two men were the Den Mother and Father, which didn’t help Hamish’s poor heart.
As things heated up and the pack got closer and closer, Randall cornered Hamish. “Okay all chaos and shit hitting the fan aside, what is wrong with you?”
Hamish blinked, looking down at the shorter man. “I’m... not sure what you mean.” He knew exactly what Randall meant. Since even before Y/n had been a wolf, Randall had been pushing Hamish to act on his feelings. This pushing had turned to shoving since Y/n had bonded with Alpha, and then escalated into full body tackling when things had regulated and turned into what it was now.
Randall rolled his eyes. “You two are perfect for each other. Why work you do anything?”
“Why won’t he?” Hamish snapped. “Why is it up to me?”
Randall immediately knew that they were getting somewhere. “He tries! He doesn’t flirt or anything, but if he even tries to joke with you, or do anything that normal friends do - if it’s not leading the pack together or doing something school related you shut down. You keep your distance like he’s trying to kill you or something.”
Hamish didn’t have anything to say to that. He just shrugged. When Randall rose an eyebrow, Hamish sighed. “Everything’s really complicated right now. Lilith is finally acting like her old self, and warming up to Y/n. I’m trying to not make it any more complicated than it is.”
Randall scoffed. “It’s always complicated, Hamish. Jack and Alyssa are the best of example that there’s no good time to do this kind of thing, and that sometimes it fails even when you try everything. I mean, look at Nicole and Lilith even, or-“ he cut off for a second, holding something back.
Hamish’s lips twitched just a little. “You and Jack?”
Suddenly Randall looked less confident. It had been a long time coming between them. After Jack had gotten his memories back, his relationship with Alyssa hadn’t been the same. It quickly seemed like he was growing more and more platonic with her, and stopped chasing her altogether. When she died, he had been heartbroken - not for his lost love, but for his lost friend. He had cared about her very differently to the day they’d met and the relationship they’d had after that. Along with that, Jack and Randall had been getting closer and closer, and Hamish was pretty sure there was something going on there.
Hamish was also sure that was why Randall wanted Y/n and Hamish to get together. Not just because he wanted to see the people he cared about happy, but because if they worked out, it meant some hope for Jack and Randall too.
It had been unfair to point out though, and they both knew it. “Feelings are hard and people are complicated, and this weird dynamic between the Order and the Knights isn’t going to get much easier - at least not in our time line. Even if we work together better eventually, there’s still too much history. Even more so with demons in the mix, and these rogue magic users trying to end the world with their pride.” He rolled his eyes, ever trying to ease tension with soft teasing and a joke or two. “It’s never going to be the right time. The right time doesn’t exist - even for normal people. Life is complicated and hard and against everyone.”
Shrugging again, Hamish brushed off the rather good argument. “It’s hard for normal people. And it’s even worse for us. More complicated, and more dangerous, and way more pointless. Don’t we have enough to worry about?”
“Don’t we have enough suffering?” Randall argued. “Haven’t we lost enough? Told ourselves no? Fought our feelings and forgiven people we didn’t want to? Why can’t you let yourself be happy? Adding more suffering into your plate by refusing to allow yourself this is just another goddamn thing that life gets over you. You’re miserable!”
A scoff shot from Hamish. They were both getting agitated, voices rising just a little as they got heated. “Haven’t we lost enough?” Hamish mocked. Not that it had been a dumb question, but that Randall had said the exact reason Hamish was so hesitant to do anything about his feelings and still couldn’t wrap his mind around it. Couldn’t see the simple truth staring him directly in the face.
Before, Randall genuinely hadn’t understood what the big hold up was. As he looked at Hamish now though, it clicked. He softened. “This is about Cassie.”
Cassie.
Did Randall have to say her name? In this conversation that hit hard and cut deep, couldn’t they spare the TA and not force him to relive everything in blinding vibrance? As if the situation itself wasn’t enough. Randall sighed, frowning.
“Every once in a while, I forget.” Randall’s voice was soft. Hamish looked up at him; Randall looked back steadily. “You play cup pong to solve problems and rant about shit so nerdy I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around it. You mix drinks and have all these traditions. You seem... so unphased, by everything. Older too. You’re only a year or so older than me, but you’re just constantly oriented.” He smiled fondly, chuckling. “I always admired your ability to keep it together. To have an open mind and keep going, even when you’re so tired and done and sometimes I think you’re finally going to stop. Give up in some small way or another. And then you don’t.”
For a moment, Hamish can’t look at Randall anymore. He shakes his head. “What’s you’re point?”
“Goddamnit,” Randall sighs. “I can’t imagine what it was like to lose her. You changed so much after that... but you shouldn’t stop yourself from being happy every again.” A pause. “But hell, if you really are decided to lose him, don’t let me stop you. In fact, please give me the sign that it’s cool to make a move. The man is...” Randall tilted his head, smirking, looking off I RK the distance a bit, like he was admiring a memory instead of anything around him. “If you don’t ask him out, I’ll be happy to do it instead.”
Hamish rolled his eyes. They both knew Randall was full of shit. No matter how attractive he found Y/n, his heart was set on someone else. That didn’t stop Hamish from finding himself suddenly very willing to talk to Y/n about his feelings. The real fear had always been losing Y/n, and now a different kind of loss occurred to him.
In all his agony, Hamish had never considered losing Y/n to someone else. Not death or magic or depression or the pressure of their new life or even Alpha. Not to school or students or time or graduation or when they eventually moved onto the next thing. Hamish could lose him, right here, right now, to a pretty smile and shimmering eyes.
Just someone else.
Kicked into gear, Hamish didn’t even give Randall a response. He just shot him a glare and then huffed, turning and pulling out his phone as he began to walk toward the school. He called Y/n. “Hey are you available right now?”
“Like, right at this very second?” Y/n asked. “Um. I’m grading. But I could take a break,” Y/n added hastily. “If you needed something.” He’d been trying to leave things open ended so it was less a shit down or a command and more of a conversation. It made Hamish smile.
“Maybe not need.” Hamish knew he was stalling. That didn’t stop him from doing it though, pretending that he was considering leaving Y/n to his work even as he quickly made his way to Y/n’s form. “If you’re too busy.”
“Never too busy for you,” Y/n answered with a slight chuckle. He got a lot softer when talking to Hamish, a little lighter too. Like the sun was coming out after a cold night, or weight was being lifted off of his shoulders. Like just talking to Hamish was enough to make the burden of life a little easier to bard.
Oh boy.
Please have mercy, he silently begged, more than sure that he was about to get anything but.
“Quick, meet me at your dorm. I do need something, but if we keep it fast you can get back to it.”
Really, Y/n was almost done. He wasn’t stressed about it. He was tired from all the things he’d been keeping track of though, so he didn’t mind keeping the option to keep the hang out short in case he ran out of a social battery completely. So he didn’t tell Hamish that. “Okay, I’ll be down soon.”
Something sharp started to turn in Hamish’s stomach as he tried to not let his brain talk him out of meeting Y/n and going through with what he was about to do. The second he got to the form and saw Y/n’s smile, he thought about bolting... but then he thought about Y/n smiling at someone else. At Randall or maybe even Gabby or someone else entirely. Someone other than him. Suddenly it wasn’t hard to stay in place and approach the other TA.
They both walked toward each other, meeting in the middle. Y/n seemed a little concerned at the intense look on Hamish’s face. “You okay?” He asked gently. A part of him worried there was some horrible news once again, but he got the feeling it would have been a meeting at the Den, or a discussion for when they got together and did their grading if it had to do with the Knights of school.
“Unlikely,” Hamish joked. It fell a little flat and he shook his head, deciding to simply going for it. “Y/n, I...” he looked away, swallowing. Maybe it would have been better if Y/n ended up with someone else... and then something clicked in Hamish’s head. “Our lives are so fucking complicated. Between teaching classes and fighting the forces of evil, I feel like we can never catch a break.” Y/n chuckled and Hamish actually smiled. “But then I’m with you, and you make it all a little bit easier. It’s not complicated with you, and you help me with everything else. With anyone, for either of us, it’s going to be harder. You get what it’s like to be a TA. You know what it’s like to be a college student. What it’s like to be in on this world of magic. What it’s like to be a Knight when there’s the Order, or tourist magic users. What it’s like to be the leader of a team of idiots.” They both laughed again, but this time they were both blushing. “I was so scared to lose you. But... I am. By not acting on my feelings, by letting you pass me by. I’m losing everything - and I’d rather lose you after I’ve gotten to experience what it’s like to have you. Really have you, as mine. And me as yours. We all lose each other eventually, but maybe we can get a few years first.
Voice gone, Y/n could only stare at Hamish. His eyes were full of tears but he was smiling, his lips pressed together as he tried to hold himself together. When Hamish didn’t say anything for a while though, it was obvious that he was waiting for a response though so Y/n tried to manage it. “Are you saying that you want to try something more than what we have? Because if this is one of those ridiculously cheesy love confessions, theoretically, I would say - in this situation - that I’d maybe like to step back for a second. Maybe we could start with a date and then go from there.
Whatever fears had been holding Hamish back before disappeared and he laughed. “I would love to start with a date. Just the two of us.” He tilted his head, suddenly feeling sheepish and silly. “What did you have in mind?”
Y/n smiled. “I was about to finish my grading.” He didn’t want to go back to that nonsense now. This was so much better. “Come inside and I’ll make dinner. Maybe we could make it together, and then play a gam for watch something. Or just talk.”
Nodding, Hamish stapled closer and brushed his knuckles along Y/n’s. They both let a breath of relief out as Y/n intertwined their fingers. It seemed they had a lot to talk about after all. Hamish couldn’t wait.
“Lead the way.”

Missus Duke - Hamish Duke x fem!reader
A/N:
Welcome lovely people, here comes another piece about our favorite werewolf acolyte! Hope you enjoy <3
As always, bear in mind English is not my first language.
This one is a bit longer so be warned! Lots of emotional crap and fluffy bits with a teeny, tiny hint at some freaky action.
************************************************************************
Walking inside the den Beatrice wasn’t sure what to expect. The sole fact that her fiancé was a werewolf baffled her as to how he could have kept this a secret from her but then again she has been doing the same thing in regard to her being a member of the Order. Still, the trust they have established over the years they’ve been together began to falter as she entered the old house, where the Knights established their lair. She’s been there before, but briefly and still unaware of the werewolf company she has kept for the past few years. Entering the building now was more of a venture into the unknown rather than visiting an old friend. Righty of the bat she heard Randall and Lilith frantically discussing something but at first she wasn’t able to make out the exact words. Only when she entered the living room still unnoticed, she registered three words that made her freeze in place.
- Hamish got hurt.
Suddenly nothing else mattered as she quickly approached the two Knights, immediately grabbing their attention.
- What do you mean “Hamish got hurt”? What happened? Was he attacked?
Both Lilith and Randall turned around in a blink of an eye, the girl still holding her phone on speaker with Jack’s name clearly visible on the screen. The pair standing before seemingly lost their ability to speak and unsurprisingly the person to reply to her question was none other than mister Morton.
-  Is that Beatrice? What are you doing there?
- Apparently saving the day. You take care of your things, I got this covered.
Before he could even answer, Beatrice hung up on him, focusing on the two standing in front of her, still unsure how to react.
- Bea, what do you mean? And what are you doing here? Hamish is not here so… - started Randall but didn’t get the chance to finish the sentence as Beatrice interrupted him midsentence.
- Cut the bullshit, Randall. I know you’re werewolves and I know Hamish is one too. I need to know what happened to him and where he is now?
Although Randall was utterly shocked hearing Bea’s words, Lilith was quicker to shoot back as she stood tall, raising her head a bit to look properly at the taller woman.
- And how do you know about werewolves anyway, Beatrice? I don’t think they teach about lycanthropy in law school.
As she realised there was no hiding the truth now, she rubbed her temple and gripped her hips staring the black-haired girl down.
- You really are smarter than you look, miss Bathory. As you’re clearly implying, yes – I am a member of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, but right now that doesn’t matter. I need to know where Hamish is and how badly he got hurt.
Lilith’s eyes glowed silver as her fangs revealed themselves. That was Timber acting up only fuelled by his champion’s hatred for the entire Order.
- You don’t belong here. Your place is back with the Order, all of you psychotic lunatics. You want to know how he got hurt? One of your idiot disciples stabbed him in broad daylight. In human form.
Before Beatrice could truly understand Lilith’s words, the doors opened wide and through then entered the universities mascot stumbling badly on its legs. The Timber Wolf took off its head and revealed a hurting Hamish beneath.
-  A little help here?
Immediately Lilith calmed down and all three of them rushed to Hamish. Bea was the first one to get to him, quickly grabbing his arm and swinging it over her shoulders. Randall came to his other side, mimicking Beatrice’ actions.
- Did you ditch them? – asked Lilith, leading her friend inside.
- For now.
Hamish stared at the both of them and then took a second look as he realised the person holding his right arm was his fiancée who had no reason to be in the den. Most definitely she should not have seen him like that.
- Bea?
The brunette didn’t acknowledge his question as she and Randall led the hurt man to the couch where they gently laid him down.
- Where did they get you? – asked Randall as he and Lilith both helped their leader out of the upper part of the wolf costume, while Beatrice stood back staring at the blood covering her fiancé’s shirt.
They could have killed him.
- Right here – said Hamish, gasping out while lifting his shirt over his right side and revealing a nasty stab wound infested with greenish foam oozing out of the cut. Once the odour hit Lilith and Randall, they immediately felt heir breakfast coming back up their throats.
- Jesus, this smells even worse than it looks – exclaimed Lilith, hiding her nose in her arm similarly to Randall who already presented with a gag reflex.
- It’s like if vomit and sulphur had a baby – added Randall, covering his mouth with his hand.
Beatrice quickly regained her focus as she concentrated on the still bleeding wound gaping in Hamish’s side. Carelessly she pushed Lilith away, taking her place next to the blonde and quietly examining the cut. The girl growled at the older woman, but she didn’t pay any attention to the protesting werewolf as she rolled up the sleeves of her dark green jacket and looked up to meet her lover’s stare.
- It’s okay. I’ve got you now – whispered Beatrice gently with a hint of apology in her voice.
Bea reached inside her university bag and grabbed her engraved knife with confidence subsequently slicing her hand open. Hamish was baffled observing his fiancée’s every movement, too stunned and in too much pain to utter a single word. Bea carefully placed her uninjured palm over his wound and brought the bleeding one to her mouth as she muttered the correct incantation.
- Restituattur.
Suddenly, Hamish felt the pain disappear and all that was left of it was a nasty memory and blood covering his skin. He looked down at his side and there was no signs of his injury. Beatrice quietly retreated, standing up while throwing her knife back in her bag. All three Knights marvelled over her work as Randall poked at Hamish’s skin in the exact place where the stab wound gaped just seconds before.
- Okay, but seriously, this is some cool shit, Trixie – said Randall amused and astounded at the same time, turning his head to Beatrice, who was wrapping the cut on her palm with some tissue she found in the pockets of her jacket.
- Not all magic is bad, Randall. Sometimes it’s really helpful.
Hamish looked up at her as he stood on his own two feet, still clad in the pants and boot sof the Timber Wolves mascot. There were so many thoughts running through his mind, but the one reoccurring over and over again was the lie.
She lied to me.
He was painfully aware that those skills did not come to the members of the Order with ease so it was only logical to assume she’s been a practitioner for a longer period of time, which meant she has been lying to him for years. There were now words that came to him at that moment except what he actually wanted to say despite her deception.
- You saved my life – he stated simply, staring at her without as much as a blink.
Beatrice felt the guilt running through her veins, still trying to remember he lied to her just as much, but the guilt trip was about something other than keeping their societies a secret for all those years. Her disciples attacked the love of her life. If she wasn’t there, Hamish might not have made it out alive. The sheer thought of losing him was the most terrifying thing she’s felt in a very long time. She gulped quietly, squeezing her still bleeding hand never taking her eyes off of Hamish’s blue orbs staring at her shamefully.
- I couldn’t let you die – said Beatrice like it was the purest truth in the world.
Silence fell over the room as the two Knights witnessing this unusual lover’s quarrel stood quietly waiting for the grand finale. That is until Lilith decided that her rage was more demanding than she could manage and so Timber took over the reins, growling at the intruder.
- Yet it was your idiot wizard who almost killed him.
- You have no idea what you’re talking about Lilith, so I suggest you stay out of this.
- Why don’t I give you a taste of your own medicine, you bitch.
What happened next was an insane chain of events, one following the other and all in the matter of thirty seconds. Lilith launched herself at Beatrice who was completely defenceless without her knife as she watched the werewolf girl jump at her. Those few seconds when Hamish watched Lilith attack his fiancé felt like hours when he battled between his integrity and his love for Beatrice. There wasn’t much time to waste on logical thinking or reasons why he should do this or that, but in the end the heart won. Swiftly as the lightning hits the ground Hamish ran ahead, jumping in front of Beatrice and throwing Lilith into the couch he occupied just seconds before. His eyes glowed like silver strikes as he growled viciously at his wolf sister standing before Bea like a human shield. She barely noticed his actions as she awaited the impact but when she saw his back in front of her and his arms spread out in a protective manner a part of her felt some sort of relief. He was still her Hamish.
- That’s enough, Lilith. Stand down.
His voice was powerful and strong. He sounded like a leader should. Calm and collected but still firm. Beatrice peeked over his shoulders and saw Lilith slowly rising from the couch, eyes still shining with silver. The girl was clearly fuming with anger but the hide inside her heard his command and obeyed.
- She’s one of them Hamish. How can you defend her?
- She’s my fiancée. She has just saved my life. We have bigger concerns on our hands. We must deal with Kyle and his little death squad first.
Bea furrowed her eyebrows shocked to hear Kyle’s name mentioned as the one leading the attack.
- That moron?
***
After Midnight returned to his locker following Kyle’s unfortunate death at the hands of Gabrielle Dupres, the Knights returned to the Den for the traditional après-kill drink. Hamish sipped on the red liquor swimming in his glass as his thoughts kept running back to his fiancée. Now that he knew the whole truth about Beatrice Stone a war has started between his heart and mind, both equally convincing and both screaming in his head. Even as they toasted their victory, he was clearly someplace else and his loss in thought did not go unnoticed by his comrades.
- You okay, Hambone? – asked Randall.
Hamish raised his eyes to the brown-haired boy nodding his head silently. Lilith glanced at Randall knowingly as they simultaneously grabbed one of his arms and slowly dragged him upstairs. Once they reached the couch the sat the man down, took the drink out of his hand despite his loud protest.
- Excuse you, I need that glass.
- You need to spill, Hamish. You’ve been staring into nothing like Grinch on Christmas Day – explained Randall, crossing his arms over his torso – Now talk, mister.
- There is nothing to talk about, Randall. Now give me that drink – denied Hamish, reaching out for the crystal glass in his friend’s hand.
- Don’t bullshit us – intervened Lilith, taking the glass in her own hands and putting it back on the bar before turning to face him again – You were stabbed, almost died, found out your fiancée is a member of the Order and all of that in the span of what, two hours?
- Wow, thank you for summing up this fiasco in one sentence. That really helps – said Hamish, huffing.
- We just want to help you – replied strongly Randall, sitting next to his leader – We both know how much you love her. You literally talk about her every single day. What was it you said the other day after those negronis? “Bea is the butter to my bread, the breath to my life”. This is still the same woman, Hamish.
- Yes, but this one has been lying to me for the better part of our relationship. Hell, she may have been lying to me from the very beginning. I’m not sure if I really know her or is it just the pretty picture she sold me over the years. Is her name really Beatrice? Does she really like cats better than dogs? Does she really like my drinks?
- Hold your horses there, my friend – said Randall calmly, patting his arm gently – We met her too. She was real. She is real. I think she may have even liked me. What I know for sure is that she loves you.
Hamish turned his head to face Randall, suddenly so grateful for his goofy demeanour and never-ending positive attitude.
- I really hope you’re right, dude. Because I know I am in love with her. I can’t even try to hate her, which is kind of frustrating.
- You should go talk to her.
This time it was Lilith still looking down at the heartbroken man. Hamish furrowed his eyebrows as he shot her a glance of surprise.
- Weren’t you the one who tried to rip her throat out just today?
The black-haired girl shook her, rolling her eyes back.
- I am still not a fan of the witch and her magic buddies, but she came through for you. She saved you and you didn’t hesitate to jump to her rescue. It’s clear as day you mean to each enough to look past your mistakes.
Apparently, Lilith’s speech was all that Hamish needed to get up and run out without a second thought. He grabbed his phone and car keys on the way and quickly left the Den, leaving his two comrades grinning like idiots.
- We should start a couple’s therapy clinic, cause we’re damn good at this shit – exclaimed Randall, downing the rest of his drink in one gulp.
***
The ride to their apartment in Norwich felt agonizingly slow as he drove past the red lights and other cars, impatient to get to the building. Upon arrival he didn’t even bother with parking his black BMW properly, instead just carelessly left the car in the middle of the private parking place and ran out to the door. As usual he was greeted with a polite “good evening, Mr Duke” but he was too busy running to the elevator to acknowledge the kind security guard. The elevator seemed to be taking forever to get down so instead he chose to sprint seven storeys up to get to their shared apartment, praying Beatrice was there. Without thinking twice, he pushed the door open and entered the dimly lit flat.
- Beatrice? Are you here?
The living room connected with the kitchen and the mini bar they had installed for his alcoholic beverage’s construction was quite dark except for two dim lamps on the underside of the kitchen cupboards, but the main source of light was their bedroom. It was also the room from which Hamish clearly heard hangers ruffling in the closet. Quickly he made his way to the bedroom and found Beatrice fishing out her clothes from the closet and chucking them inside the giant suitcase which laid open on the neatly made bed. Hamish felt a pin in his heart, seeing his fiancée moving out of their apartment and out of his life.
- Bea, stop it – said Hamish firmly, grabbing the woman’s attention.
Beatrice turned around with two hangers in her hands, tear stains covering her cheeks. She froze in place as she gripped the hangers in her palms. On one of them hung the satin red dress she wore to the dinner, when he proposed to her just a few months prior. Just seeing the dress brought a wave of memories to the both of them. Hamish looked into her glassy blue eyes, unsure of his own words and actions, but certain of his feelings.
- I still remember how you took my breath away when I first saw you in that dress. I swore I could marry you right there and then.
His voice was just above whisper, but she heard him clearly. She swallowed her tears, feeling a corner of her mouth rise involuntarily.
- I had to pinch your arm because you stood still like a deer in headlights – chuckled Beatrice, remembering the day as if they just lived it.
Hamish smiled fondly at the memory, never taking his eyes of her blue orbs glossy with new coming tears.
- I was certain you were the woman I would call mine for the rest of my life.
- I knew you were the love of my life.
Silence fell on the two lovers as they stared at each other unsure what comes next. They both lied to the person they love most. They both did it to protect the other. Was it reason enough to accept living a lie for four years?
- You can’t leave, Bea. I won’t let you – stated Hamish, slowly approaching his fiancée.
- Hamish, I lied to you – said Beatrice with a shaky voice – I have been lying to you from the beginning. I have been doing the Order’s bidding, my sister’s bidding and now Coventry’s. I could basically become the new Temple Magus in Washington if I didn’t refuse it because I couldn’t leave you. I am so deep inside the Order sometimes the only thing keeping me sane in my life is you. I am a pathological liar, Hamish.
- I lied too. I have been a Knight for the past eight years. I’ve led the Knights for the past six years. I’ve attacked and defended and did some thing I’m not proud either, even if I believe in the cause we serve.
- Your pack literally hates my guts.
- The Order is hunting werewolves down.
- I can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt because the Order, Hamish.
- I can’t imagine my life without you, Beatrice.
The honesty in his tone was almost murderous. She felt his words crawling down her skin as she tried with all her will not to fall apart and into his arms the second he touched her. When he finally did place his hands on the hangers and took them out of her palms, she seemed to have lost her balance for a second. Carefully he placed her dresses back in the closet, brushing against her arm only to return to his previous spot standing before her and looking into her eyes. Beatrice tilted her head up as he was a bit taller, barely standing his intense gaze.
- The Order is your enemy. Werewolves and practitioners are enemies.
- Are you my enemy?
Beatrice sucked in her next breath as she felt his hand reach for her own gently intertwining their fingers. She couldn’t look away as if his gaze was a magnetic force and she couldn’t overpower it. With his free hand he slowly reached to her cheek wiping away the fresh tear that fell down her eyelashes. Her whole body was trembling beneath his touch just like she always did when he was this close. His scent was driving her crazy, muting her senses and blinding the reason she always followed. It was only after a few moments of undisturbed silence that she spoke up, giving up all her will power to the love she knew was stronger than anything she has ever witnessed in her life.
- You own my heart and my soul, Hamish. I could never knowingly stand against you.
Beatrice barely got to finish her sentence before Hamish crashed their lips together, habitually wrapping his arms tightly around her form and pushing her flush against him. An uncontrollable moan escaped her mouth as she melted right into his embrace, entangling her fingers in his silky hair. They were used to messy kisses, those filled with lust and passion and always ending in their bed or other less comfortable places in their apartment, but this was different. The urgency in their movement, hungry lips learning each other like it was the first time, greedy hands trailing invisible paths down their bodies. The act itself felt less like a physical form of dealing with the recent events, but like the final stage of accepting who they are as individuals and who they become as one body, one mind and one soul. When breath came to call they broke apart, but never left each other’s embrace, resting their foreheads against one another. Both were breathing heavily, chest heaving up and down at an astounding pace but all that didn’t matter when they knew they had each other despite everything that happened and will happen in the future.
Hamish could hear Bea’s heart beating like a hummingbird locked in a golden cage. He felt the way she shifted in his arms, trying to get even closer than she already was. Suddenly everything was back to normal. She was his, he was hers. The Order didn’t matter. The Knights didn’t matter. In the silence they exchanged wordless vows promising to protect the love they found in the chaos of their lives. Truth was simple and in plain sight. There was no life for Hamish without Beatrice and there was no life for Beatrice without Hamish. Not even their allegiance to enemy societies could tear them apart.
- We’re going to figure it out. I don’t know how or how long it will take but there’s one thing I am certain about. You are my life, Bea. I don’t care what anybody else says, you’re the one thing I can’t live my life without.
Beatrice looked up, catching his longing gaze with her teary eyes. She could see all that he didn’t say but felt within. All the love, the adoration, the promise of life by her side.
- And I can’t live without you. I can’t breathe without you. To hell with the Order, to hell with Coventry. If I have you, nothing else matters. I love you, Hamish. More than anything. More than life.
The blonde man gently squeezed her sides, bringing her impossibly close as he pecked her lips quickly, but fiercely. He had this bewildered look on his face as if suddenly he swallowed all the energy in the world and was just ready to release it all back like a supernova.
- You have no idea how happy I am that you said that. But all things aside, your magic? That was incredible! I can’t even wrap my head around it. You must teach me sometimes.
Beatrice laughed out gleefully, wrapping her arms tightly around Hamish’s neck, gently nudging his nose with her own.
- A Knight of Saint Christopher’s willingly asking to be taught magic? Dear God, a true miracle.
Hamish smiled wildly, staring lovingly at the woman in his arms. All the emotions he felt flying through his mind, he could barely register them all. The happiness, the hope, the overwhelming joy, the relief all flooded him at once, buy unlike before he felt more at peace than ever. Instead of a hurricane he was standing in the soft rain in the middle of summer. Gently he released Beatrice from his grip, turning towards the bed, where the half-filled suitcase laid wide open. Without a word he reached for the clothes already inside and started unpacking it.
- Since you’re not going anywhere, I believe these belong back in the closet.
- But only if I am the one to put them away – agreed Beatrice, taking the clothes from her fiancé’s hands – If you start putting my clothes back in, I will never be able to find anything again, so move aside, Mister Duke.
- If you say so, Missus Duke – replied Hamish cheekily, relinquishing his grip on the hangers.
Beatrice turned rapidly to face him, almost dropping the dress she was hanging back in the closet. She raised her eyebrows at him bewildered by the name.
- What did you say?
- If you say so, Missus Duke.
The sheer tone of his voice, so sultry and alluring made her weak at the knees. Trying to shake off the effect he clearly had on her, Bea turned back to hang the dress she was holding, when she heard the suitcase gently hit the floor beside the bed. The next thing she knew Hamish had his arms around her middle, standing right behind her with his chest lightly touching her back. Every place his fingers touched her body felt like electricity running over her skin as he gently slid his palms beneath the white flowy shirt she was wearing, running invisible traces over her stomach and ribs. He felt her shaking under his hands and smiled wickedly, proud of how she reacted to his even smallest actions.
- I don’t see a wedding ring in my left hand yet, Mister Duke – whispered Beatrice, leaning into Hamish as his hands roamed freely over her skin.
- A small technical issue I will see to first thing tomorrow – purred Hamish, tracing her neckline with his nose – But right now we have more pressing matters to attend to.
***
Beatrice heaved heavily as she laid her head over Hamish’s bare chest regaining her breath after the last few hours they spent in their bedroom.
- Now I understand why you never got tired. Werewolf durability.
Hamish laughed heartily, wrapping hir arms around her body and kissing her temple gently.
- Darling, believe me. The werewolf part is just a small particle of my endurance. Mostly it’s the fact that my future wife is the sexiest woman on planet Earth, and I can’t control myself around her.
Bea raised her eyes, looking up at a very smug looking Hamish grinning like an idiot. She propped herself on her elbow, resting her free hand flat on his chest.
- Say it again.
- What?
Beatrice shook her head quickly pecking his lips.
- You know what.
Suddenly his gaze softened as he expertly tucked a rouge whisp of her chocolate hair behind her ear. For a moment he remained silenced as he admired her flushed cheeks and sparkling blue irises looking back at him with so much love and adoration he could burst. Gently, he cupped her face, stroking her cheekbone with his thumb never breaking eye contact.
-  My future wife.

Saved Your Life! ~ Reader X Randall Carpio
Tumblr media
2. “Are you kidding me right now?!”
14. “Just leave me alone!”
66. "You should be nice to me, I just saved your life!”
Today had sucked! You failed an exam, lost your dorm key, and were thirty minutes late to a job interview. Pretty sure it was safe to say you didn’t get the job. To top it all off you failed your final test, meaning you no longer had a chance of getting into The Order. The order had meant a great deal to you. Your mother and father were both apart of the order during their time at Belgrave. You grew up hearing stories of magic and adventure, and made a promise to yourself that your life would be filled with the same... to bad you had a habit of breaking promises to your self.
Flopping on to a bar stool at the campus pub, you quickly ordered a drink before looking around. The place was dead. Granted it was a Tuesday night. Only a few people lingered, most of which were studying or working. As you sat there sipping on your drink, you couldn’t help but relive the events of the day... and god did in suck. This day truly couldn’t get any worse. You were snapped out of your train of thought by the bartender calling the attention of the pub.
“Hey, listen up!” The large man Hollered. “I just got off the phone with Belgrave admin. There’s supposed to be a huge storm bound to hit this area in a few hours. We don’t want any of you kids roaming around in high wind speeds, so you have been advised to go back to your dorms for the remainder of the evening.”
“Great!” You whisper softly to yourself. Sighing you stood up, slapping a five on the counter before making your way towards the door alongside the other students all hoping to get back before the storm picks up. It was along walk back to your dorm, it’s was dark and cold, and at this moment you would at her be literally anywhere else. You reached in your pocket in hopes of grabbing your phone to check the time, but it was empty, panicking slightly you checked your other pocket before concluding that you must have left it at the pub.
“Are you kidding me right now!” You growl before turning around. At this point you just wanted to cry, absolutely nothing was going alright. When you got to the pub, you notice a boy a little older than you standing close to the wall of the pub building, holding your phone in his right hand. As you got closer you recognized the boy. He was your R.A Randall. Sheepishly you made you way towards the boy, catching his attention as you stopped in front of him.
“First your dorm key, now your phone.” Randall smirked tossing you your phone. Your cheeks began to heat up slightly in embarrassment.
“Yeah. It’s been a long day. Sorry for bothering you.” You say quickly before turning to walk away.
“Hey. I never said you were bothering me. How about I walk you back to the dorm. I’m heading there anyway.” You thought about it for a second before shaking your head.
“Thanks, but I kind of just wanna be alone tonight.”
“Huh. But what kind of R.A would I be if I let you walk home... all alone... in the dark?”
“Maybe a normal one?” You reply, starting to get annoyed at the boys stubbornness.
“Normal is boring. Now come on... we should get back before the storm picks up.” Randall says, before walking in the direction of your dorms. Rolling your eyes you follow him, knowing that at this point you didn’t really have a choice. If it was any other day you would probably have been thrilled to have Randall offer to walk you home, he was funny, charming, and cute, but as you have known from previous meetings Randall is quite chatty, and in the moment you just weren’t in the mood. You trailed slowly behind Randall as he rambled on about whatever he was talking about, trying to toon out as much noise as you possibly could. You watched your feet as you walked along only stopping when you heard Randall suddenly become silent.
“Did you hear that?” Randall whispered turning towards you. Lifting your head up your eyes meet his.
“Hear what?” You whisper back, concerned by Randall’s sudden change in character. A large snap coming from inside the bushes caused both you and Randall to jump.
“That.” Randall said positioning himself slightly in front of you. Another snap echoed throughout the empty streets. Grabbing Randall’s arm you began to try and pull him way from the source of the noise.
“Come on Randall. Let’s just go...” The bushes raddled in front of you and Randall. Before you could blink a fuigure lunged out of the bushes and straight towards you. You flinched back expecting to be attacked, but the attack never came. Opening your eyes you see a member of The Order laying on the ground, what looked to be a wolf standing over them. The sight of blood pouring out of the cloaked fuigure made you feel sick. Slowly backing way from the terrifying scene in front of you, you accidentally step on a stick. As a loud crack sounded out under the weight of your body, the creatures head snapped towards you. Your life flashed before your eyes. You knew there was no pint in running. The creature was twice your size, and could easily catch up. Tears poured from your eyes as the creature slowly approached you. Only stopping about an inch from your face. You starred into its soft brown eyes suddenly feeling a sense of familiarity. Almost within the blink of an eye the creature shrunk down, and transformed into a boy... blinking in disbelief, as the beast The was in front of you mere seconds ago was replaced with your dorky R.A.
“Y/N. Listen, I know that was a lot to take in but I need you to tell me why your being hunted by The Order.” Randall says grabbing a hold of your shoulders. Shock and fear continue to flow through your body, your eyes still focused on the dead body that laid a few feet from you.
“You... But... I, He’s dead! You killed him.He-”
“Tried to kill you?!” Randall interrupted trying his best to calm you down.
“Still, he was a human being. With a family and a life and you don’t even care! You transform in to a... I don’t even know? A fucking bear, kill a guy and then act as if nothing matters?” Randall opened his mouth to say something but it was your turn to cut him off. “No! You know what, just leave me alone!” You yell before turning to walk way.
“First of all a bear? Really? I’m a werewolf. Second, you should be nice to me, I just saved your life! Third I’m not letting you go until you tell me why the order is on your ass!” Sighing you turned around to face Randall.
“I had an opportunity to become a part in of the order, but I fail the final test. I don’t know anything else okay?!” Randall nodded in response “look I’m sorry for yelling. I just, guess I’m confused, in shock maybe?”
“That’s understandable. I’m sorry for killing that guy, didn’t really mean to... kinda just happened.” You chuckle awkwardly looking between Randall and the body.
“Soooo. You’re a werewolf then?”
“Yup!” Randall replies.
“That’s... well I guess that’s pretty cool.” Randall smiled wide at your unexpected response. He nuged your shoulder softly before talking.
“You know what else would be pretty cool?”
“What?” You asked curiously.
“If you’d go out with me... maybe Friday?”
“Hmmm... I’d love to.”
“Haha. Perfect it’s a date then. We should probably get back though, the storms starting to pick up.” You nod, and both you and Randall begin your walk back.
“Wait!” You say stopping suddenly. “Is anyone gonna acknowledges the fact that you’re naked.” You say cheeks beginning to heat up.
“Don’t worry, it’s a wolf thing. You’ll get used to it soon enough.” Randall says winking at you, before continuing the walk. You chuckled softly to your self. Maybe today wasn’t so bad after all.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Heyy guys! Hope you liked it. Thank you so much for reading, and a huge thank you to @dopetacofirepanda for the request. If you have a request, for any character or ship from the order, just let me know and I’ll be happy to write it for you.
Thanks Loves!

Best Mistake Part 2
“It’s not that they have all our stuff...they stole it. So - let’s steal it all back” Jack whispers as he leans forward, straightening his posture in seriousness.
“Are you suggesting a magic heist?!” Randall says, stalking towards Jack
“Yes. A magic heist” Jack replies as he steps up from the couch. Both boys shine a ray of mischief in their eyes and madness in their energy
“MAGIC HEIST! MAGIC HEIST!” They both chant, as Hamish and Lilith begin joining in synchronisation
“MAGIC HEIST MAGIC HEIST MAGIC HEIST!” The Knights chant like toddlers demanding candy.
“Well you didn’t think to warn us about that?!” Lilith hissed, eyes dark with fear and damage after the images she’d experienced. Hamish, Jack and Randall all sat with Lilith in the Blade and Chalice collectively recovering from their fear corners. Lilith rocked slightly from side to side whilst Jack was holding a pack of ice on the side of his head. They were tired, scared, drained...but desperate. They couldn’t get into the vault without being stuck in the “fear corridor”. Hamish chugged a swig of his whiskey, slamming the glass down onto the table with force, trying his best to forget what he went through -
“Stupid Ricky Simarco and his stupid fifth birthday party” he groaned, eyes fixed into a trance like state
“What did you see?” Randall asked Lilith, who replies with a simple “nothing”.
“Nothing?” He asks again, confused to why she didn’t see anything
“Nothing.” She confirms, although her shaken state says otherwise.
“Okay, since we can’t get through to the vault, i found the perfect solution” Jack enthusiastically gushes. “We summon a demon! There’s loads of different types to summon and i think i found the perfect one!”
The fellow knights all look around at each other in suspicion...could this actually work? Or is Jack literally insane?
“It’s name is a Zecchia” Jack points towards a yellow dusted page in an old, crippled book “it’s a baron demon, meaning it steals anything that the summoner desires it to”
“Won’t we have to do something for it? You know, a catch?” Lilith questions, her big brown eyes looking up to Jack
“No! You see that’s the beauty of it. We call it, they show up, we pay the toll and they’ll do our bidding!” He replies almost as if it was complete rocket science. “You just gotta follow the protocol perfectly”
“I’m in-“
“-Me too!” Hamish and Lilith both declare with their whole chests, meanwhile Randall starts struggling with the decision...
“Nope.” He announces. “No thanks. No way. Nope. Not a demon. Not ever.” Adamant as ever, he puts his hand on the table as a way to stand against the debate. He gets up and walks away before the others can stop him.
“We’re still doing this.”
“Yeah totally”
“He’ll get over it”
-
Hamish, Lilith and Jack all stand around the summoning circle, ready to summon Zecchia, the thief demon.
“Zecchia, appear before us so that we may negotiate the fee for your service to empty the vault of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose and remand those goods into the possession of the Knights of Saint Christopher” they all chant in synchronisation. Below their feet is a demon trap, purposed to trap the summoned demon in order to negotiate wisely. As soon as they finish the chant, a sound of wind brushes past them...but shorty followed by silence.
“Zecchiaaa?” Jack quietly echos into the distance of the house, uncertain if the summoning ritual worked or not. The 3/4 knights walk around the hallway wondering where they went wrong.
“Maybe we messed up the incantation?” says Lilith
“We did everything right?” Hamish replies
Suddenly, the door bursts open as Randall rushes in, slightly out of breath
“- guys STOP don’t do this-” He shouts as he blows out the candles nearest to him on the floor “-Alyssa and i were discussing demon summonings and-“
“-and you suck at it” you pipe up.
Emerging from the shadows of the staircase, you quietly and elegantly walk down, eyes never leaving the people below you...but one in specific - the man dressed in the waistcoat. You’re wearing a red, laced spaghetti strap bodysuit that’s tucked under a pair of tight fitted sheer black leggings (clearly i’m not going to have you wear only underwear and a bra like every other succubus - *que that not on MY WATCH vine* we are more PG here y’all - also may i add, your body size does not matter here. All body types are beautiful and you should love your body, don’t fall for these skinny stereotypes! Curvy girls are breathtaking too!!! <3 okay back to the story lmao). With midnight black wings as beautiful as can be and horns impeccable in sight, you stare with your big Y/E/C eyes as your long Y/H/C, silky locks fall past your shoulders. The sound of your black stiletto heels click and clack on the wooden floorboards, as further silence echos in the walls. The Knights are struck by your beauty, chocked for words at what they’re seeing in front of them. You swiftly bring your wings to your side, stroking your arms as you approach the people below you.
“You’re not what...we...expected” Randall slurs- i mean drools ;)
“That’s because i’m not” you sigh, bringing your arms across your body. “You summoned me, a succubus. Not Zecchia. But hey, you’re not the first...you’re meant to use alcohol as a summoning ingredient. She’s a sucker for it...senses it from many realms away” you continue, shaking your head and rolling your eyes playfully. Looking around the room, you can’t help but keep looking back to the tall man who has a perfect complexion and long, dirty blonde hair with blue crystal eyes. With lips so succulent...you want to kiss all over them and run your hands through his locks, as he uses his large, soft hands to roam around your body-
“So who did we summon?” Your thoughts are interrupted by the small, gorgeous lady to your right. She has blue streaks in her black hair, and a cute little button nose that you want to just *boop*!
“I’m Y/N, a succubus” you smile delicately at the woman in front of you, glancing back to the man who caught your eye before.
“And you are?” You question, turning your attention to the male on your right
“I’m Lili-“
“Not you! This handsome gentleman in front of me” you point with your long, ‘black as night’ painted fingertip towards the tallest man.
“I-i’m Hamish. Hamish Duke” he replies, cheeks blushing a gentle shade of crimson.
“You’re really hot” you tease, biting your lower lip in hot anticipation at your dirty thoughts. Hamish’s eyes widen at this, bringing his hands towards his front slightly.
“I could say the same for you, love” He gulps. He doesn’t know this, but you can actually read his thoughts; images of him pushing you up against the wall, his hands on your ass as your legs wrap around his middle, lips working sweet magic as you’re caressing his face and hair...leaving small, wet pecks on his neck as he moans your name out loud, thrusti-
“Hey, i’m Randall” the tall, pretty brunette calls out, stepping towards you. He brings his hand out to shake, to which you accept. A huge grin is painted across his face as his hand touches your dainty one, Lilith just rolls her eyes and huffs.
“Okay okay let’s wrap this up here” she remarks, pulling Randall away from you. You turn to see a shorter male, who sports platinum blonde hair that falls to the side of his face. His eyes are wide, mouth slightly parted and eyebrows furrowed.
“Are you alright, pretty boy?” You ask, genuine concern across your face. Randall giggles like a school boy at your words, repeating (and i quote) “hehe pretty boy heheee” quietly in the sidelines whilst pointing at Jack.
“I....uh....hi” Jack replies, fixing his hair after noticing you were looking at him
You lightly laugh “hi, cutie”
You look back over to Hamish, as his filthy visions are still happening
“I can read your thoughts, you know” you laugh as he blushes bright red and covers his front completely now
“It’s okay, i liked them” you continue in a husky tone, stepping closer towards him with your hands in front of you, gasping to be touching him.
He reaches his hand out towards your stretched hand, gently touching your fingers and delicately wrapping his large ones round them. You both intertwine fingers, as gazes are locked onto you both. He pulls you towards him, his head tilting slightly in awe at your appearance.
“Uhhh...okayyyy?” Lilith gawked as the rest of the Knights share glances of pure confusion and slight panic.
You chuckle lightly at Hamish’s actions, as
he wraps his arms around your lower back, swaying from side to side.
“You’re beautiful” he whispers into your ear which sends excited chills down your spine. He smiles looking down at you.
“What is happening right now?” Jack asks the others, who shrug their shoulders watching like hawks. Lightly, you plant a small kiss on his lips...which Hamish returns, only with more passion and lust. The kiss deepens as his hands grip tighter and your thrusting into him for more becomes intolerable, until you both need to release for air.
“Uhh Hamish? Y/N? Hello?” Randall waves his hands in the air trying to signal Hamish, but proves useless. As you’re heavily gasping in air, you notice Hamish’s mouth - your red lipstick has smudged all over his mouth
“BRO you look like a clown!!” Randall cracks up, laughing hysterically. Jack and Lilith snort upon seeing Hamish’s state, but he doesn’t care. He quickly and forcefully grabs you again and drops you bridal-style whilst passionately making out with you once again. Jack, Lilith and Randall all look back up from their laughter fits to see you two basically eating each other’s faces. Suddenly, it’s not that funny anymore - just disturbing.
“Okay that’s enough, Ham-burger” Randall shouts. Nothing.
“Yo Hamish dude stop” Jack sings, which again does nothing to Hamish and you.
“Yeah this is now how i thought my Tuesday was going to go” Lilith says as she gestures towards you two. “Is he enchanted or something?!”
“I uh...maybe?” Jack mutters
“Maybe i am too” Randall eyeballs you and Hamish “wait...i said that out loud didn’t i?” he quickly looks down and plants his face with his hands. Yeah...he was totally thinking of a threesome at that time.
Begrudgingly you break the contact between yours and Hamish’s soft lips and lift yourself up from his arms, yet he continues leaving sweet, soft kisses on your neck.
“I know what you’re thinking, cutie” you look up to Randall, who squeals in embarrassment and mouths ‘don’t tell them’ towards you, making you laugh.
“What were you thinking about?” Jack asks
“Basically he was thinkin-“ you begin
“NO no NO DON’T say anything” Randall barks out, breaking Hamish from his trail of leaving kisses down your neck
“You know what nevermind” Jack grunts as he scrunches his eyebrows up in discomfort.
“Okay this is getting too weird now. Hey, Y/N can we get Zecchia please” Lilith asks, seemingly annoyed
You sigh loudly, clearly annoyed that your fun was about to be wrapped up “fine. But i want to see you again” you say, stroking Hamish’s hair out of his face.
“Why does she have to go? Can’t she stay for a little longer?” Hamish pleads, but is shut down by Lilith giving him a death stare whilst growing towards him.
“It’s okay, she’s right. Okay well this was amazing. Call me again” you say as you wink towards Hamish, who’s knees buckle slightly. You walk towards the middle of the room and straighten yourself up, lifting the strap of your top back onto your shoulder.
“Nice to see you, lovelies” you give a little wave with your hand, then click your fingers and disappear. The Knights all glare round to Hamish, who straightens himself up and buttons his waistcoat back up.
“Have fun there buddie?” Randall quips, smirking slightly at his friend
Hamish doesn’t say anything, he just looks down in embarrassment
“Oh, and you might wanna-“ Randall gestures for him to wipe his lips, as Jack and Lilith silently chuckle from the other side of the room.
It’s safe to say, you left your imprint on Hamish Duke...and he won’t be forgetting that any time soon.
Let me know what you guys thought, and of you want any more fanfic :)

Knights and Kisses
Warnings: very, Very, VERY light sexual themes
Pairing: Hamish Duke x Reader, Lilith Bathory x Reader, Randall Carpio x Reader, Jack Morton x Reader
Hamish Duke:
Tumblr media
Hamish loved to kiss your temple or your wrists. To him they are both highly sensitive and important areas. On days where you’d both be out around campus or taking a walk, he would pull you into his side and plant a light kiss right on your temple. This would also happen if you were standing making him a drink, which was hardly ever, but it did occur once or twice. If you both were just laying in bed or watching tv, it was often you would be holding hands and he you bring them up to his lips and let his lips ghost over the pulse point of your wrist.
You, on the other hand, loved to roll up on your toes and place kisses on his perfectly crafted jawline. Your height, in this case, was an advantage and allowed you to do this whenever you pleased. This tended to happen when the two of you were at the bar or in the den just alone together. Once you had been sitting watching a movie in the den and felt the urge to just kiss him there so you did. He had looked at you a little surprised at the random action but his words made you giggle.
“Do it again.”
Lilith Bathory:
Tumblr media
Lilith would kiss your jaw all day just to hear you giggle and say it tickled. She loved let her lips peck your jawline as she left a room. She loved to be laying in bed and trace her lips from yours down your jaw and kiss behind your ear. There was something intimate about the whole thing to her. You and her were out at the bar once with the others and suddenly a drink came to the table, the bartender saying it was from a guy in the back booth. This of course didn’t sit well with Lilith so she leaned up and kissed your jaw, and trailed her lips to your ear and nibbled a bit. This action made you turn red with blush, but the guy got the message and looked a way from the two of you.
Just as Lilith, you had a knack for the intimate. Of course kissing her lips were a favorite of yours, but like her you enjoyed to hear her giggle or sigh, and the one place you found enticed this reaction was was her ear, the shell of her ear that is. No matter how many times you did it, it would bring chills to Lilith’s skin and cause her to giggle.
“Y/n, you know how much that tickles.”
Randall Carpio:
Tumblr media
Kissing Randall was more than just kissing, it was true connection. That is cliche, but it is true. Kissing him was like the two of you becoming one, and nothing was really off limits. You were more mindful of PDA, but Randall? No. The man doesn’t care about others seeing anything. He loved to kiss your lips so that was what he was going to do no matter where you two were. A peck goodbye in the dorm building turned into two, then three, then a full blown make out outside Jack’s dorm, where you all had been previously. Of course Jack had to interrupt. But the fact of the matter is, is when presented the opportunity, Randall would kiss your lips.
You were more PDA aware and would keep the public make outs to a minimum. Your preferred way of showing your affection with kisses was to kiss Randall’s cheek. This was a daily occurrence and sometimes multiple times a day. You loved to see him on campus and plant a kiss on his cheek and walk away. It riled him up. He loved the action because you were giving him just enough, but it made him want more, due to the close proximity to his mouth.
“Do it again and I’ll french you right here in the quad.”
Jack Morton:
Tumblr media
Jack’s favorite spot to kiss you was on your forehead. The was a tenderness behind it that Jack didn’t use with other people. Just you. He would wrap his arms around your waist and press his lips to the center of your forehead, mumble something you never understood and just hold you. When he was in a rush though, he would sometimes kiss you so hard he would hurt himself.
You loved to embarrass Jack, and it happened more often than not. Though he was kind of difficult to embarrass. Multiple times you tired and failed, but one day you had been sitting in the Den, your legs over Jack’s lap. You brushed his hair away from his face and leaned in kissing down his face till you settled below his ear and further down his neck. This elicited a sound you had never heard him make before, but you loved it. if he had know that Hamish and Randall had just come in the door he never would have been so vocal, but at the sound of their giggles like children he turned red as a tomato. From then on it was something you just loved to do, and you would kiss his neck all the time, sometimes not even trying to embarrass him, but just to feel him close. It never failed though, at some point he would make noise.
“Y/n, I can’t be caught moaning like that again, its embarrassing as hell.”

Pairings: Randall Carpio x Knight!Reader Fandom: The Order MASTERLIST Warnings: Fluff, Randall being adorable SUMMARY: Randall never turns down a dare, even if he thinks he’ll lose. Request from anon: Could you do 3 from the humor prompts with Randall?
3. “Bite me.”
Tumblr media
“Bite me.” You raise both eyebrows at Randall over your laptop screen, barely paying him any attention.
      “What was that?”
Randall sighed dramatically before he spoke, “I want you to bite me.”
A snort left your nose before you could stop it as you closed your laptop and set it on the coffee table to truly get a good look at your strange boyfriend, “Is that like a kinky thing... or?” Randall nodded but you wanted to know more, “How are you so... casual about it?”
“Just because I’m comfortable with my sexuality shouldn’t make you deflect my question! I’m serious, I want you to bite me.”
      “You sound sarcastic though.”
A grumble-like sound left his chest as two familiar laughs met your ears, Lilith and Hamish stepped into the living room, cackling like witches. “I told you they wouldn’t go for it you idiots!”
Lilith ‘glared’ at Randall, “The only idiot is you for even trying,”
“Don’t knock it till you try it, Killith!”
      “Screw you,” Lilith spat out.
You stood up and put your hands between the two, “Hey kids, knock it off. We don’t need another broken window to fix.”

Enemy
Prompt: Reader is secretly in love with Randall and gets heartbroken when she catches him kissing another girl. She sings a sad song about it.
A/N: This fic is combining both my love of Glee and The Order.
Warnings:  A LOT OF ANGST, implied smut and curse words, sudden POV change (Unedited)
Words: 3300+
---------------
The ear-bleeding music seemed to slowly die down as the pounding of my heart replaced its significant impact. My brain was trying to differentiate what my eyes were capturing and what I was feeling. Although, I seemed to be doing a terrible job.
Randall Carpio was lip-locked with some girl I had never seen before that day. He was. . . I didn't know what he was at that moment. I didn't consider him a boyfriend since we never had the appropriate conversation about it. Yet, he was more than a friend, since we had kissed a couple of times. Granted, the goal was to divert needy girls from sitting in his face. But, my heart was the warmest when we shared such intimate moments. How our tongues tangled long after the intended audience had left and we were always one minute away from racing to a secluded area. Desperately wanting to release the sexual tension that had been within us since we had met last semester.
I guess I was the only one to feel those things.
I released the breath that I had been holding and turned my back to the scene. I placed the red solo cups on the porch of the rundown home and walked away from the bustling party. I tried my best to conceal the tears welling up in my eyes and the tightness in my throat. I held myself together all the way until I  reached my apartment.
The shock on my roommate's face was unexplainable as I crumbled into her arms and soiled her satin shirt with my teary mascara.
I saw his face the very next day, at the student center. He was signing some form, probably for a missing key. Since Randall was a RA, he had to fill out at least 6 of those forms every Saturday morning. Looking out for freshmen was a tough job, but he did it with no complaints. I walked past him and cranked up the volume of my phone. I could feel his eyes on me, but I chose to ignore it. If he hadn’t been signing those forms, I knew he would’ve followed me. Or chased me down.
I walked to the makeshift computer station and tapped my ID on the printer's mount. The device made a loud 'beep' before spitting out several sheets of paper. I gathered the warm items into a pile and stapled them together. Instead of walking out the way I came in, I decided to go deeper into the building and take the back exit. It happened to be further away from the library, where my study group was waiting. But an extra minute of walking wouldn't hurt as much as facing him again.
I proceed to avoid Randall for the upcoming weeks. I dove myself into my studies, spending all my extra time getting ahead on classwork. And, when I got bored with that, I upped my crocheting skills. The temperature was rumored to drop to a cool fifty degrees next week and I didn't have a scarf. Less than seventy-two hours later, I had finished my scarf and began working on my hat.
Janet, my roommate, had gotten worried that I turned into a grandma. So, she bribed me into leaving the apartment.
"Come with me to this club meeting and I'll buy you dinner," she said as she plopped onto my bed.
I stopped in mid-row and looked over at her. "You're only doing this because you don't want to go alone."
"Maybe," she huffed. "But, we'd both be happy when the night is over. You'll get your precious tacos and I'll join a new club."
I rolled my eyes. I finished my row and set my unfinished project on my desk. "Let's go before I change my mind."
The air in the auditorium was alive and thriving. It wrapped around my body like a chilled hug and I never felt so calm. I took my time walking down the aisle to the main stage, absorbing the positive energy all around me. The spotlight was aimed towards the middle of the stage, where the group was huddled. Instruments lie, abandoned, near the back of the stage. Along with mic stands and sheets of music on the floor. One group member picks up a sheet of paper from the edge of the stage and locks eyes with me. He stands up straight and looks up at me.
“I know you!” He shouts toward me.
I looked behind me and saw that there was no one there. “Me? Where do you know me from?”
“We partied together a couple of times,” he said I walked up the side steps of the stage. He paused a second to process the memories and wait for me to close the distance between us. A blush flashed against his face and scratched the side of his neck. “I tried to hit on you a few times, but you were always with that Randall guy.”
Hearing his name still made my heart stop. I tried to push my emotions back into their cave as I mustered the courage to speak again. “I—” My voice cracked with just one letter so I just bit my lip and shrugged.
The familiar stranger seemed to have understood my silence and just carried on the conversation. “Well, I’m glad you could make it! We are kind of desperate for new members.”
I cleared my throat and looked down at the ground. “What’s this club about?”
“We’re like a glee club of sorts. We sing songs that describe the overall feel of the weeks prior,” he replied in an assertive tone. “Interestingly, we have been singing a lot of breakup songs lately. We actually reconsidered to rename the club ‘The Lonely Hearts Club’.”
I looked over at Janet and she gave me a sheepish grin.
Before I could even call out to her, a new voice emerged from within the other bustling ones.
“Okay, everyone! I am excited to announce that we have new members!” The voice cheered with pure joy, which radiated throughout the room. The owner of the voice, a young woman, walked over to me and smiled. “It’s a tradition for the new recruits to ‘audition’ to become official club members. You can either sing a duet—” she looked over at Janet. “Or a solo”, then back at me. “Whichever you feel is comfortable.”
“I think a duet—” I tried to say before being cut off.
“We’re gonna do solos,” Janet interjected. I threw her a harsh look, which she had completely ignored and continued on with her statement. “I have been wanting to play my version of ‘Toxic’ by Britney Spears for the longest time.”
“Great! We’ll get the stage set up, and you’ll be ready to go, yes?” The leader said with a hasty head nod. She looked back at me. “While she’s performing, try to figure out if you’ll be singing acapella or acoustic. We have tons of songs from our prior setlists if you want the band to back you.”
The familiar stranger placed a binder into my hands and I almost doubled over by the sheer heft of the object. I departed from the stage and sat in the front row. I flipped through the pages, I saw various pop anthems and R&B baby-makers in the front collection. The further I went into the binder, the more breakup songs I encountered. The majority of them are Beyonce and Taylor Swift. A few from H.E.R and Bryson Tiller. I knew a few songs in their possession but none of them really hit home. Until I reached the last page.
Jhene Aiko’s Triggered.
I had that song on repeat the very first week I started to avoid. . . him. Maybe it was an exaggeration of my feelings but it sure felt right. It captured the anger, the pain, and the longing so perfectly. Plus it wasn’t too much singing. I knew I wasn’t a Whitney Houston, but I could hold a note and remain in key.
I looked closer at the lyrics and sheet music behind me. A voice inside of me wanted to do this without a band. I needed to do this alone. I had to rid myself of the feelings that kept gnawing on my insides, begging to escape.
Janet killed it, per usual. She captivated her audience with her somber tone and gentle approach. A roar of applause flooded the auditorium. Almost making it hard to top that. I handed the binder back to the familiar stranger, Justin, and climbed on the stage. I looked down at all of the glee folk and gave a sheepish smile.
“I will be singing Triggered by Jhene Aiko,” I said, mustering up all the confidence in my being.
“Will you be using the band?” the club leader, Marie, asked.
“No, I would like to sing it acapella,” I replied with a shake of my head. “It’s something I need to get off of my chest.”
“Ooh! I am excited! Go for it!” She cheered before taking a seat in the audience.
I turned my back to the group and took a deep breath. I decided to leave the microphone on the stand just to allow the hollowed-out space project my voice for me. I took a step and just opened my mouth.
“Go figure, you were the trigger,” I sang with the side of my being facing the crowd. “You brought me an obstructed view when you knew the picture was bigger”.
The chitter-chatter among the group dropped and all eyes were on me.
I took another breath and carried on. “Who am I kidding, I knew from the beginning,” I paused. An image of Randall flashed in my mind and I could feel the emotions bubble up. I clenched my fists and shook my head. “I’m sorry. I just—.”
“Unleash it,” Marie yelled from the crowd. “The pain you’ve been holding. You don’t need to pretend anymore. This is a safe space.”
The crowd yelled reassuring testaments from below and it made me chuckle.
“So, cry if you need to! We saw it all,” Justin added in. “And we all have felt exactly what you are feeling at this moment.”
The exchange made me feel comfortable and highlighted that we were all humans at the end of the day. No matter how hard we judge, we all will be or have been in a position that makes us feel so small. So insignificant. It was only human for us to feel.
I nodded. “I’m going to start again.”
I closed my eyes and allowed the words to spill from my lips.
Go figure, you were the trigger.
You brought me to
An obstructed view
When you knew the picture was bigger
I opened my eyes and gave a humorless laugh.
Who am I kidding?
Knew from the beginning.
I saw him kissing her; as if I were experiencing it all over again and all I could feel was anger.
You’d ruin everything
You do it every time.
You are my enemy,
You are no friend of mine.
Muhfucker...
I paused and ran my hands through my hair. I clasped my hand together to make a loud clap before pointing to an empty space on the stage. As if he was there with me.
You muhfucking right
You muhfucking right I’m triggered
You muhfucking right I’m bitter
You muhfucking right I...
I stopped in midpoint and gave a weak smile.
Wanna fuck you right now
The crowd “oohed” in the audience from the statement and gave me a few claps.
He heard her voice before he even entered the building. While jogging across the quad that night. It had been weeks since they had last spoken and he wished he knew the reason behind it. Every time he called, it went straight to voicemail. His texts never went through, and when they did, they were left with some written automated message. Randall had debated whether to stop by her dorm and question her about the sudden disappearance, but he respected her space. But, hearing her voice for the first time in a long time had done things to him. It made him reminisce about the old times they had back at the packhouse with the other wolves. The times where they’d sleep in his bed after a night of partying; limbs drunkenly tangled together and his head on her chest. Randall loved laying his head on her breasts. They were always so soft and inviting and smelled of flowers.
Like a sailor lost at sea, he followed the sweet melodies of Y/N’s eerily beautiful voice. The young man made his way to the auditorium before he had a chance to turn back. And he was thankful he hadn’t. She was like a siren in a pool of auburn water. The spotlight made it seem as though she was glowing. Highlighting the parts of her he found most gorgeous. Randall had taken so much time just staring at her that he shocked at the amount of sadness the lyrics offered.
Tryna let the time go by
Tryna let the time heal all
Tryna let the time kill all
Of our memories
All you meant to me
All that history
All that's history
I'll calm down eventually
Why was she singing such a sad song? Who was this song dedicated to? He pondered the possibilities of anyone that could perhaps make her feel this heartbroken. Was Y/N going through a break-up? Who’s ass did he need to beat?
I'm triggered when I see your face
Triggered, when I hear your name
Triggered, I am not okay (yeah)
You need to stay out of my way
Suddenly the singing stopped and a sole tear rolled down her face. Y/N wiped it away and mumbled the last lyric about three more times before the audience rose from their seats and clapped. Multiple peopled raced to the stage and gave her a warm embrace and Randall watched as the tears continue to flood her face.
“I should kick Randall’s ass for making you feel that way,” a familiar voice—  Janet—  said in the depth of the group. “He doesn’t deserve you.”
“I have no idea who he is, but fuck him!” A different voice chimed in. “Men are trash—”
The men in the group made an unsatisfactory sound.
“Current company excluded.”
Y/N smiled and whipped her tears. “Randall’s not trash, he just...” She paused for a moment to think. “Isn’t what I thought he was.”
“And what would that be?” Randall shouted from the doorway of the auditorium.
All the heads in the room snapped in his direction and he could hear Y/N’s heart stop for just a millisecond. As he walked down the aisle, Randall’s ears grew accustomed to her increasing heartbeat. He memorized the sound after all the nights he spent with his head against her breasts, but he hadn’t heard it beat that fast. Ever. It scared him.
Upon walking to the stage, Randall watched as the group parted—  like the red sea—  Y/N. His favorite girl. No longer the fierce siren he saw while she was performing. Her mascara smudged underneath her eyes and her lip gloss dripped to her chin. But, it hadn’t mattered to Randall. She could walk through a hurricane and he’d still see the beauty within her.
“Why are you here?” She asked as she walked down the stairs.
“You’re such a good performer! I was completely captivated by your stage presence—” Randall found himself spilling before realizing it.
“Can you just not. . . be yourself for one minute and be serious?” Y/N said in a frustrated tone.
It was true. She was mad at him.
“I must’ve really fucked up if you can’t take my silliness,” he mumbled to himself. Suddenly a little self-conscious, Randall looked at the group of people that had obviously been eavesdropping on the situation. He looked back at his girl and gripped her hand. “Can we talk in somewhere private, please?”
Y/N sighed and gave him a nod.
Randall pulled her out of the auditorium and into the vacant corridor.
“Look, I—” He cut her off with an embrace. Hands around her waist and nose in her hair. She smelled like cinnamon and sugar. But, it wasn’t the artificial kind that came in a spray bottle, no. It was the smell of freshly baked buns and the wafty aroma that scattered across the roll while they cooled. “Randall, what are you—”
“Just tell me what I did, so I could never do it again,” he squeezed her body closer to his and pressed a cheek to her head.  “Being away from you for that long is something I refuse to do again. I tried my best to give you your space but it pained me. . . Tell me what to do.”
Y/N’s heartbeat slowed to its normal pace as she released a shaky breath. “I saw you kiss some girl at the party.”
His body tensed. She saw him kissing Ashley? The girl was just some drunken sorority chick that stumbled across the party. Randall had won a game of beer pong and she followed him outside to give him a ‘reward’. He hated the kiss if he could even call it that. It felt like Randall was desperately trying not to choke on her tongue. He shivered at the war flashback.
“This may sound lame, but she really did kiss me,” Randall replied. “I didn’t want to come across as rude, so I just let it happen. I wish I hadn’t though. She was such a bad kisser. Like oh my god, so bad. I drool all over my shirt and everything”
She giggled. “That’s disgusting.”
“It was worse than you think,” Randall grimaced before pulling away to face Y/N. “I am sorry that I hurt you so bad that I forced you into isolation. I would never hurt you on purpose, you know that, right?”
She looked up at him with wide eyes. “I know that now.”
Randall placed a hand on her cheek and gave her a longing look. “Do you, also, know how much I love you, Y/N?”
“. . . What?”
Randall pressed his lips against hers for a steamy kiss. Y/N’s arms wrapped around his neck quickly as she stood on her tiptoes to deepen the kiss. He dropped his hand from her face and gathered her legs in his hands. He lifted her up with ease and pressed her against the wall. She groaned against his lips and arched her back, further pressing their bodies together. Y/N braided her fingers in his hair and tighten her legs around his waist. The pent up frustration from the overall situation had quickly become sexual and they were seconds from ripping each other’s clothes off.
The sound of a door closing brought her back to reality and Y/N pulled away from his lips. Just for him to attack her neck.
“Randall, we have to stop now,” she struggled to stop the moans from slipping from her lips. Y/N craned her neck to the side and tugged on the rooks of his hair. She jerked his head away from her neck and narrowed her eyes. “I mean it, Randall.”
“You’re no fun,” he pouted.
“I am not trying to have our first time in a hallway, Randall,” she hissed.
“But, it would be so risque,” he pouted even more. “The thrill is getting caught is so intoxicating.”
“But getting expelled isn’t,” Y/N rolled her eyes. “Can you put me down now?”
“So you are just gonna leave me all hot and bothered?” Randall said in blatant shock.
“I was going to suggest your dorm room, but since you suggested leaving—! Ah!”
Randall slung Y/N over his shoulder and jogged through the hall. “I take it back! Come on, we don’t have any time to waste!”

Its a Holiday Something - Knights of St. Christopher & GN!Reader
SO @whatafuckinnerd offered up a WONDERFUL suggestion of “Experiencing the winter holidays with the Knights for the first time (And Amir, if you choose to do this as some sort of list instead of a fic. Also if you just want to add Amir)”. I, personally, love it. It’s a lot of fun. And I hope that you guys will enjoy it as much as I did writing it!!!!
The Den a garish display of holiday spirit – tinsel framed every window, every door was covered in wrapping paper, lights were wrapped around every column and hung from every eave and rail and windowsill.
Jack had been going overboard ever since Amir had returned to the realm of the living – and proved to be a Knight, no less. It had been a mess: there was magic, Amir came back, Alpha’s hide returned to the locker, Midnight left Gabi, Alpha found Gabi, Midnight found Amir – it was a whole thing, honestly, and just remembering it all made your head spin in the same way that the ‘Exorcism of Lilith Bathory’ made your head spin.
The Den being a testament to Macy’s Christmas Department was just one of those things that Amir’s return had (kinda) caused. You took a deep breath and released it slowly as the lights started to flicker in a rhythmic beat.
“Okay, Randall!” you shouted, “That’s too much – you’re gonna give someone a seizure!” You squinted at the lights. “Me, you’re gonna give me a seizure,” you added.
The lights stilled, and Randall poked his head out of his window. “Sorry!”
Another window opened, and Hamish peeked out. “No blinking lights?”
“No blinking lights,” Randall called back.
You rolled your eyes. “I think the aliens out on Saturn know that the Den is here, you know,” you commented. You jogged up the front steps. “And the fae in the Other Realm, and ghosts, and, I dunno, China,” you muttered.
Amir was standing in the front room when you walked in, looking up at the tree you and the Knights had put up. “There’s faeries?” he whispered when you approached. You arched an eyebrow. He rubbed his chest. “Oh, this is gonna be wild.”
“It’s only been a few weeks, Amir,” you said, nudging his shoulder with a smile, “You’ll learn.” You tilted your head. “I’m still learning, and I’ve been a Knight for a year.”
“How’s Aster doing dealing with a pack?” he asked.
You shrugged. “Dealing. Has to, you know?”
A shoulder smacked against yours. You looked back, arching an eyebrow as Lilith stood next to you, looking up at the tree. She still sported the tattoo on her face, an indication of her trip into the realm of demons or into Hell or wherever she went. “I hate Christmas,” she mumbled darkly. She looked over at you. “Not because of all this. It’s my family,” she muttered.
“We’re your family,” you said. She tilted your head. “Where’s the rest of the knuckleheads? This is the only thing in the Den that isn’t lit up, so we might as well do it now before we get drunk.”
Lilith wrinkled her nose. “Gabi’s bringing more lights – she said we need to wrap up the banister and decorate the bar – and Hamish is upstairs looking for his eggnog recipe and—”
“And Randall!” said werewolf jumped over the last few stairs and threw open his arms, “is right here.”
You nodded and smiled. Then, pausing, you looked over at Amir. “Hey, do you even celebrate Christmas?” you asked.
He shook his head as he looked down at the phone Randall had handed him; the lights were hooked up to an app and allowed Amir to change the pace of the twinkling to slow but steady. “I don’t, no,” Amir answered. He shrugged. “But, I mean, it’s a pretty widely celebrated thing, so it’s hard to avoid.”
“What do you celebrate?” Hamish asked as he came down the stairs.
“Ehhh,” Amir drawled. You snorted. Kicking your foot up behind you, you smacked the man in the rear and ducked into the living room when he gave chase. Hamish stepped behind the bar with a light chuckle. “Not really? My parents both used to be strict Hindus but since they came over here, they haven’t really practiced and?” he shrugged again. “Eh. I don’t think we’ve really celebrated anything for years.
The door of the den burst open and bounced against the wall. Randall released a strangled cry and threw his hands up. You watched him as you blindly groped the bar for the eggnog Hamish had poured for you, only for him to take your hand and wrap it around a glass. “Really?” Randall asked, “I just fixed that wall.”
“You can fix it again,” Gabi stated. You watched her walk in, followed by Jack, whose arms were laden with bags and boxes. You took a deep drink and turned away from her. “Oh, you started decorating already.”
“Uh,” Randall lifted a hand, “Started?”
You heard Gabi’s shrug and the clatter of the boxes falling out of Jack’s arms. “Yeah,” she replied, “Started.”
Amir leaned on the bar behind you. “Is this normally how Christmas goes?” he softly asked.
Hamish snorted. You turned around to face the two, and lifted your glass when they did, clinking the bottom against theirs before taking another drink. “Not even close,” Hamish said as he stared into the glass. He looked up to watch Gabi step back and direct Jack and Randall in how to decorate. Lilith made a beeline to you three, and took the glass that Hamish held over your head. “We normally watch Elf, get drunk, and go running out in the woods,” he replied.
“No,” Lilith protested after downing half her glass, “Last year we watched A Christmas Story.”
“Oh,” Hamish scoffed, “I am so sorry.”
“Apology accepted.”
You wrinkled your nose as you caught Amir’s gaze. “We can totally find a better Christmas movie,” you said.
“Isn’t Die Hard a—”
“We are NOT watching that,” called Gabi.  You rolled your eyes and leaned on the bar, drinking as she rattled off a long list of movies that were far more appropriate for the season then Die Hard. Amir snickered.
You smiled. Holding out your glass to Amir, you cleared your throat. “Happy, uh….”
“You can say Christmas,” Amir said as he clinked his glass against yours again.
You tilted your head towards Hamish. “Happy family festivities?” he offered.
You pouted. Amir hummed. “Nah, that’s trying too hard.”
Hamish shrugged and finished his eggnog. “We’ll think of something.”
“No, guys, the lights go around the banister, not over it!” Gabi shouted. You, Lilith, and Amir shoved your now empty glasses at Hamish, who shoot his head with a grin.

So About That ~ J.M.
A/n: Aaaaaand that leaves one request left 👀 Opening requests soon!
Request: “...jack morton x Vera son reader ( bring back the only reader I can see jack with 😂) we’re veras son knows magic but doesn’t join the order because he’s a better witch by himself ( learned that from his mom) and he started to date jack but Vera does not know and jack does not know until the reader wants to introduce jack to his mom over dinner.” By anon
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Y/n really hadn’t meant to keep it all a secret. He was a pretty blunt and straight forward person, something he’d gotten from his mom. He hadn’t gotten much from her, so his fire Cracker determination, self respect, and power were things he had always been proud of.
The fact that his mom was Vera Stone just hadn’t come up with his boyfriend, the same way that Jack Morton being his boyfriend had never come up with his mom.
It wasn’t even like either of them talked about the other all that often. Vera and Jack had always had an unspoken respect for each other, and refused to accept that they also had a bit of a soft spot for the other person as well. Getting close at all, or talking, would have required them to acknowledge said unspoken soft spot, and neither of them were willing. So they didn’t even talk to other people about it.
Y/n held onto that as a reason that this wasn’t his fault.
When he’d organized a dinner for his boyfriend and mom to meet, he hadn’t known that they had all that much between them. When they’d both shown up and seen each other though, from the reactions Y/n had gotten, there was obviously some tension there. For a split second Y/n had been terrified that Vera and Jack were maybe sleeping together or something. The way they reacted, with awkwardness and avoidance, gave this very weird energy - and his mom had mentioned that she had been seeing someone. Someone younger; one of the new Knight of Saint Christopher that had joined the Order. She hadn’t wanted to talk about who though, and Y/n was completely sure that Jack would never cheat on him so he hadn’t thought for a second it even could have been possible. In that moment, he’d doubted.
But then Jack had spoken. “I thought you only had a daughter. In the memories, with the Sons of Prometheus, how did I not-?”
“Because I made sure not to think of him,” Vera responded sharply. “I didn’t want you anywhere near him.”
Y/n raised his eyebrows. “More likely you didn’t want the Sons of Prometheus anywhere near me,” he remarked, and only then did Jack and Vera remember he was still there. “My sister did die, yeah, but I didn’t. My mom doesn’t often talk about me; she has a lot of enemies and as I’m not associated with any specific society, I’m more vulnerable than most people.”
Jack seemed surprised. “So I didn’t just miss you - you’re not apart of the Order.” They were both magic users, and after running into the wolves, Y/n knew about the Knights too. Y/n had spoken to Jack about the Order first, so Jack had assumed he knew someone in it other than him. Every time he’d asked, Y/n had been vague. Now it made sense - Vera could get in trouble if it got out that her son was free lance.
“I see.” Jack’s comment was the last to be said for a few minutes. The awkwardness was suddenly so thick and choking that even Y/n didn’t know what to do to combat it. Usually he had a way of calming intensities and grounding people. Directing things in a functional way that leaned experienced more pleasantly.
He was at a loss now.
“So,” Y/n eased awkwardly, sheepishly smiling. “Nice macaroni, hm?” He took a large bit of his Mac N’ Cheese, nodding to his boyfriend and mother to do the same.
Vera and Jack looked at each other as if to say, This guy... Then they both smiled, unable to pretend that Y/n wasn’t the most beloved person to both of them. And when they realized they had that in common, that they both dearly loved Y/n, the tension eased.
Maybe this wouldn’t be totally terrible... just maybe.

Darling - Hamish Duke x fem!reader
Just a little something for us all Hamish lovers <3
Please, keep in mind - English is NOT my first language, so I apologize in advance for any errors.
Enjoy
Warnings: a little emotional, fluff
_______________________________
- Vera, are you really that blind? They will remember sooner or later. The hides are incredibly powerful and sensible to magic, might I add. They will not succumb to your wishes. You have to find a different way to convince them to the ideals of the Order.
The Grand Magus turned away from her sister, huffing out clearly annoyed with the reprimand.
- I assure you, Aria, your little wolf friends will not pose a threat to us once we induct them into the Order. But first we need to control them.
- Good God, Vera. These are werewolves, not puppies. You will make an enemy out of them much quicker than you may befriend them. Maybe Jack Morton will be more amicable considering his feelings for miss Drake, however I can’t say the same thing for the rest of them. Lilith won’t forget it. Randall won’t forget it. Hamish won’t…
- Oh please, this again? He doesn’t remember you. He won’t remember you. He will never be back the way you want him to. Deal with it, you big baby.
- Enough!
Aria shouted out like an enraged animal sending waves of wind around her settling between the books and furniture fit inside the reliquary. Although Vera never feared her sister’s magic, as the time went by, she started seeing her true power. As much as it didn’t bother her she began worrying if she had overlooked her too much.
- You don’t get to take him away from me and then rub it in my face, Vera. I don’t care you’re Grand Magus. I don’t care you have the power to destroy me or dispose of me or even kill me. I have loved him for years and there’s no way in Hell I’ll ever stop. Even if he doesn’t remember me. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to prepare for tonight. In case you forgot, we are celebrating your new Acolytes.
Before Vera could mutter a single word, Aria left the reliquary, heading to the one place she knew she could calm down before the upcoming event of the night. It was as if her feet dragged her to the Den by themselves as she felt no control over her body. One lonely tear slid down her cheek as the house showed up in the distance and all the memories, she made there came running down like an avalanche. Pushing all her emotions aside she stepped confidently inside the Den, heading straight for the stairs and eventually to his room. It still looked as neat as it always has. Bed perfectly made but still wrinkled from the last time she slept there. All his clothes hanging in the closet, his vest and shirts and sweaters. His smell lingering in the room as if he never left. But then again, she knew he would never come back there.
And just as she did it countless times before, she slowly reached for the one cashmere sweater he always loved and she slid it over her head, feeling his scent fill her nostrils. She couldn’t cry anymore as she has already cried many nights hugging his clothes and sleeping in his bed, where they used to sleep together before. Her dark brown hair splayed on his gray pillows as she laid on her back, hugging her arms gently feeling the fabric of his sweater.
She didn’t feel the time passing by until one moment she heard some noises coming from downstairs. Normally she would have been alarmed by those sounds but she knew perfectly well nobody came down to the Den and so she had no reason to fear uninvited guests, so she didn’t even move, snuggling even more into his pillow. She chose to ignore the silent steps coming up the stairs same way she ignored the slight crack in the door when it swung open. Only then did she sit up on the king-sized bed and looking at the entrance her heart stopped.
- Hamish? What are you.. I mean, who are you and how did you find this place? You shouldn’t be here…
- Aria, I remember.
His voice. Soft as ever, calming as a rainy day in the middle of summer. He stood in the doorway dressed in his somewhat usual attire – the pale blue shirt and a vest fitting him so damn well she almost forgot how to breathe. As soon as she heard his words, she slid off the bed, keeping her arms crossed over her chest as she absentmindedly hugged her form still clad in his sweater.
- You remember…?
She could barely speak as her she couldn’t believe her eyes. She stood still frozen in place as Hamish quickly approached her, stretching his arms towards her.
- Come here, you.
As her last doubt finally fell, immediately she threw herself onto him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Hamish instinctively hugged her back, hiding his face in her shoulder. Holding her close like he used to so many times before finally felt he was himself again. He breathed in her intoxicating scent as memories flooded his mind. Their first date. The first time he kissed her sweet lips. The first night they spent together wrapped in each other’s arms. Aria was barely registering what was happening around because all her focus was on Hamish and his arms holding her so tightly. She let all her anger and rage and overwhelming sadness out, crying inro his chest like a little baby. She clawed at his arms desperately trying to reassure herself, that it was not a dream.
- I missed you so, so much, Hamish. Every day was like a reoccurring nightmare watching you live your life without me in it. I could barely stand it.
- Shh, I’m here now, darling. I’m here, everything is alright now – he kept whispering sweet nothings into her ear, holding her trembling body close to him. Slowly he cupped her cheek with his right hand, forcing her to look at him. She was crying her eyes out, mascara slowly dripping down the corner of her lashes, but to him she was still the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid his eyes upon.
- Don’t you ever forget me again, Hamish Duke. Don’t you even dare.
- Believe it or not, even when I was supposed to forget you, I remembered. I kept hearing your voice in my dreams, your laughter, seeing you face every night I went to sleep. Missing my darling Aria.

Pulled To You
Tumblr media
↳ CHAPTER THREE
PAIRING: Randall Carpio x June Sutton (OC) SUMMARY: In her first year at Belgrave University, June somehow goes from having a little crush on her RA to hiding in supply closets and sneaking around with him. And later finds herself a little in over her head, once a mysterious book leads her down a path she can't un-walk. CHAPTER THEMES: Tiny bit of sneaking around, Very soft foreplay, Implied smut CHAPTER WORD COUNT: 1.2k
⇢  MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
June closed the door behind Randall for the second time that day and returned to sitting on the floor. As much as she had enjoyed his company that stupid book had been nagging at her thoughts. There was something about it that was like nothing she’d seen before. Or maybe felt before. This pull that wouldn’t leave her alone. She pulled the book from under her bed, and flipped through the pages once more. The once completely unintelligible script was now a little less confusing, but still incomprehensible. But there was something that urged her to follow it. Like some kind of dowsing rod. The thought made her feel uneasy but she still held the book out in front of her, seeing if it would lead her somewhere. The weight of the book suddenly felt a little lighter as it pulled her to the door, and her feet followed it as it drew her out. June let it take her further, out the dorm, down the stairs. Her feet bare, slapped on the stone pavement leading out of the campus and eventually met the warm earth of a forest path. Sticks and twigs poked at her feet, but wet leaves softened the blow. Her usual fears guided by self-preservation seemed to be dampened by whatever was compelling her to follow the book. How far or long she had walked was hazy, but the blur ended once she met the end of the trees and found a clearing around a large old house. Aged and unkempt, it somehow still seemed lived in. She looked around, eyes landing on a large gate dividing the house and an open road. June’s common sense was telling her loud and clear to get away from the building, to go home. The book pulled her closer, or at least tried to. But the mysterious book lost to safety precautions and the fear of having to use her whistle.
The walk back to the school was confusing until she remembered she had her phone in her pocket and Google Maps, and from there it was a piece of cake. Despite the frighteningly loud howl and the anxiety she felt when the trees would rustle, she had made it back to her dorm in one piece, returning to a room she didn’t quite remember leaving in such a mess but tidied it up before heading to the showers. The dirt on her feet and elsewhere from her weird walk in the woods needed to be washed off and she needed to get into bed. By now it was probably daylight and she hadn’t slept all night. Her entire shower was spent confused by what had happened that night. The lingering thoughts followed her out of the steamy shower and down the hall, into bed. Her head hit the pillow, and despite her intense tiredness, she took one last glance at the book before she finally drifted to sleep.
Waking up the next morning, June felt like she’d been dreaming all night, but the book was still there, and her towel was hanging on her chair, where she had left it after her shower. She tried to ignore it all and decided the best way to kick off the weekend was with a nice breakfast. She got dressed, pulling her jeans on, then a large jumper over her tee-shirt and she was out the door. A pep in her step, an excitement for pancakes and maybe a fruit smoothie. Her shoes met the pavement, instead of bare feet, and she walked to one of the campus cafés. The weather was fine and the air felt crisp. Music played through her earphones as she bounced down the path. June loved Saturdays, and especially when they started off right.  “Can I get some pancakes and… a…” June’s finger ran over the menu, trailing down the list of drinks.  “Banana and berry smoothie.” A voice said from behind, completing her thought. June looked over her shoulder to see him. She turned back to the cashier and made the order before saying anything to him.  “So I sneak up on you, you sneak up on me. Is this going to be our thing?” Randall smiled and she still couldn’t help herself from smiling back. “You know, you’re making this whole,” she dropped her voice to a whisper, “sneaking around thing kind of hard.”  “Oh, in what way?” She couldn’t see it from where she was standing beside him but she knew he was grinning, well aware of the affect he had on her. She shook her head and crossed her arms.  “If you’re willing to sit with me through my lunchtime breakfast,” She looked over to him before finishing her sentence “we can maybe go somewhere after?” She suggested, giving him a smile he knew suggested something more as she nudged her shoulder into his.  “God, I’m making it hard?”  “That’s what she said.” June said, biting her lip to stifle a laugh.
Instead of their usual favourite spot of the supply closet in one of the science buildings, they opted for something a little closer to where they had just been. Although Randall shared his dorm with his roommate, his roommate took a weekend class for some reason. As much as he thought it was a weird choice, he wasn’t going to think about it much past the convenience it brought in that moment. They walked back to the dorms, making small talk and pretending to talk about an issue she was having with her room whenever someone passed them in the hall. But as soon as he closed the door to his, oddly minimalist, dorm room, she pounced on him, almost knocking him over in the process. They couldn’t keep their hands to themselves, her hands desperately trying to get his jumper over his head and the shirt beneath with it, his hands down her back, then attempting to peel off her clothes as well. Caught in layers, they pulled their own clothes off, not leaving much room for anything romantic and slow, instead driven by the desperation to be held and felt. His lips attached to her as she fell onto the bed, kissing her between the readjusting and preparation. And in the middle of it all he caught her eye and they stopped to breathe for a moment. Her hair spilled across his pillow and deep enchanting eyes stared back at him as he held himself above her. A hand moved to rest on his face and stroke his cheek. She smiled and pulled him back down into her, kissing him again. They rolled to their sides, suddenly preoccupied with each other’s lips and not tearing the rest of their clothes off. She pulled herself from his lips and kissed at his neck, sucking lightly here and there. He moaned quietly. Touch, scent, sight; consumed by the girl beside him. He brought her back to face him with a call of her name and kissed her again. June moved to sit on his hips. She bit her lip while smiling shyly, looking into his deep brown eyes, catching their glimmer and warmth. The way he looked at her was so full of affection, like he was looking at someone he adored. She did wonder what he thought of her, what she meant to him. They hadn’t really talked about it; about what they were. And as he rubbed circles on her wrist, she chose to push the thought aside. She ran her hands down his chest before shimmying herself down to pull at the waistband of his sweatpants. Randall shifted beneath her, quickly getting back to where they had been before. Muffled moans and a swaying bed frame, this is how they liked to spend their free time.

Sleepy Mistakes ~ Reader x Hamish Duke
Tumblr media
“You said my name in your sleep”
Walking through the doors of the den, you sigh watching as your friends shuffle in behind you. Dark magic had been used a lot lately, making the five of you quite busy. Standing by the front door you all stand there covered in dirt, tired from your day of hunting evil magic. Jack is the first to speak. His soft voice filling your ears.
“Well... that was exhausting. I think I’m gonna head back to my dorm... maybe sleep for the next three days. Wake me if anything interesting happens.” You watch Lilith role her eyes at Jacks words.
“Ugh. Wait for me... all I want right now is my bed!” Randall murmured following Jack out the front door. Lilith moves up the stairs located in the front foyer.
“I’m going to sleep... wake me you die!” She yells disappearing into a room. You look up at Hamish, blushing slightly. He sends you a soft smile before speaking up.
“You should probably get some rest Y/N. you look just about ready to pass out.”
“Yeah... that’s cause I am.” You make your way to the living room flopping down on the sofa. You close your eyes momentarily, opening them again to see Hamish watching you from the door. “What?” You laugh watching as Hamish smirks at you.
“Don’t worry about it.” You roll your eyes before sitting up.
“Hey Hamish? Try to get some rest too yeah?” He nods softly.
“I’ll try.” With that he heads up the stairs, probably to go to sleep...
You fall into a restless sleep. Ever since you began fighting dark magic you were constantly worried about the wellbeing of your friends. You knew the dangers that came with being a werewolf, you just weren’t ready to lose anyone. Nightmares filled your head. Flashes of Hamish laying in front of you, torn up, bloody. It’s always Hamish. Every night images of the boy getting killed haunted you. You never could figure out why. Every since you first joined the knights you have been drawn to Hamish. You fell in love with his puppy dog eyes, his smartass smirk and his dry humour. You were afraid of losing him the most.
You were awoken by a soft voice. Opening your eyes quickly you sit up. Hamish sat beside you a worried look flashed across his face.
“Nightmare?” He asks. You nod slowly, happy to know you were just dreaming. “Do you want to talk about it?” Hamish asked grabbing a hold of your hand. You shake your head in reply. You both sit there in silence, your hand still clasped tightly in his. “You know... You said my name in your sleep.” Hamish murmurs causing you to blush hard.
“Sorry.” You whisper.
“You don’t have to apologize.”
“You died... in my dream. It just got me thinking... what would I do without you?” You feel Hamish move closer. He wraps an arm around your shoulder, pulling you into his side.
“You’ll never have to know. I promise you Y/N, I’m not going anywhere.” You smile up at him, before leaning up to kiss his cheek.
“Good.” You whisper. Hamish stands up grabbing your hand. “Haaammish? Where are we going?” You whine causing the other boy to laugh.
“Don’t worry, we can sleep more upstairs.” Hamish drags you upstairs. You both climb onto a queen sized bed in a small dark room. You snuggle closer to Hamish’s side breathing in his scent.
“Night Y/N.”
“Night Hamish.” You whisper to each other before falling asleep in Hamish’s arms...

“I Can’t Lose You” — Hamish Duke x Reader (The Order)
Tumblr media
Hi! So this is my first ever completed fanfic i have ever written so please give me feedback and if you want me to write more! This is a “The Order” fanfic because i’ve recently become obsessed with this show and in specific, Hamish Duke. Darn he’s so cute! Also there needs to be more fanfics for this fandom so i thought i’d try! Hope you guys like it!!! Sorry this one is a bit of a sad one, but sometimes sad ones are THE ones you know?
Warnings: character death, guilt, just overall sadness tbh. Don’t read if you’re in a good fluffy mood lmao
Word count: 3,500
Pairing: Hamish Duke x Reader (also slightly Knights x Reader)
Masterlist
Edward (or should i say, grand Magus)’s plan for world domination was going too smoothly, and everyone was worried. The Knights of St Christopher and Alyssa knew they had to do something, even if it meant death. Even though you were only human, not a knight nor a member of The Order, you still wouldn’t let anything happen to your friends. Especially Hamish - he’s different. You have a soft spot for him, an unrequited love even...never mind if he’s a little older than you.
You walk into the knights’ house to see Vera pottering around the room, searching through books and handling strange objects in her hands.
“The hell is she doing here?!” Lilith screams, eyes changing with rage.
“It’s okay, she’s here to help” Alyssa replies, shrugging Randall’s hands off of her shoulders
“...fuck that WHY ARE YOU HERE DAMNIT?! Lilith practically roars after hearing and seeing Alyssa’s presence. Yeah her memories came back, but so did emotions linked to them.
“Lilith please, you have to calm down.” Alyssa reaches her hands out in an attempt to comfort Lilith, only to realise it made things way worse. You stand there unable to trigger what is even happening...heck you even felt betrayed when you found out Alyssa wiped Lilith’s memories of the order...now she feels like someone you used to know. You look down and notice Lilith’s claws start to come out and quickly you run over to stop “Kilith” making an appearance.
“Lilith i’m so glad you’re okay, what happened??” You ask, hugging your friend who surprisingly returns the hug.
“Thank YOU for noticing i’m alive. SEE I CAN SAVE MYSELF, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP GUYS!” She shouts, knowing the boys can clearly hear her.
“They’re just dumb, stupid idiots who messed with the wrong Knight, that’s all.” She smirks
“Well i’m glad you’re okay. We had a plan, you know” I say, gently squeezing her shoulder
“Why wouldn’t you. You can’t survive without me” she laughs, although she’s got a point.
Alyssa looks over to us, hovers her gaze and then looks away. Even though i can’t read her mind, i still see how she looks at me and Lilith and remembers painful memories of how they used to be this close. I just don’t understand why she doesn’t listen to us when we all say that The Order is bad for her, it’s just going to destroy her humanity. Even Jack agrees.
Randall, Jack and Hamish run over slightly shocked to see Lilith standing in the doorway. See here’s the thing, when i see Randall, i get happy. But in a comfortable way, like a sibling like love. When i see Jack, i just get annoyed and aggravated since he’s always up to no good...but when i see Hamish, it’s like the world is in slow motion. Nothing else matters until you see his face, or know he’s okay. He’s like your safe house, your anchor that brings you back to comfort and reality.
“Oh my god Lilith you’re here! How are you? Are you hurt? What the fuck are you wearing?” Randall blabs on, checking Lilith everywhere for marks or enchanted knife stabs
‘Okay since when has Randall shown so much care towards Lilith?’ You think...seems a bit forced in your opinion but oh well.
“Lilith! Urm...we kidnapped a child for you” Hamish stutters, happy to see Lilith but also confused about what is happening right now
“I’ve been kidnapped?!” a small child pipes up from the corner chair, eyes wide open and comic book stretched over his chest
“Oh for god’s sake” Vera huffs whilst flicking her finger towards the small child, instantly knocking him unconscious
“You what?” Lilith chokes, slapping Randall’s hands away from her face “why would you do that? Wait...he thinks his son is his only son right? So when he gets the child back he’ll still lose at his plan?”
“Exactly. Wait we’re letting an innocent child get killed? Isn’t there some fool-proof plan to make sure no one gets killed?!” You remark, earning a few sorrowful glances at your humanity
“There isn’t another way. It’s the only plan we have i’m afraid” Hamish replies, stepping towards you.
Alyssa and Jack look towards each other in synchronisation, as if they have a plan.
“Okay i think i have an idea, but Alyssa i’ll need your help” Jack says, nodding his head hopefully. “Whatever happens, make sure no one gets hurt”
After Jack and Alyssa leave, you step to the side and begin thinking of ways that you can not only save thousands of innocent lives, but also help save those you hold closest - Hamish, Lilith, Randall and Jack. If Edward wants to sacrifice his own son, then what if...
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” You turn around to see Hamish behind you, looking down at you with eyes of concern and care. His hand is on your shoulder, rubbing small circles with his thumb
“Nothing, just worried that’s all” you reply, hoping he doesn’t see through your act. You know he wouldn’t approve of your thoughts, so you keep them to yourself.
“It’s going to be okay, he doesn’t know Jack is his first born and without him, he’s failed. We’re gonna be okay.” He pulls you into his chest, instantly calming your nerves. It feels like forever when he hugs you, and how you wish you could freeze time in that moment as you lean into his warm touch and burry your face into his chest, his grip tightening on your upper and lower back for support. You can hear his heart beating, making you smile into his chest.
“You know, you really are a special human being” he hums as he gently strokes your head with his thumb “not just because you have a heart of gold, but because you manage to light a room up even if tragedy occurs”
You can’t help but coo at his words, smiling a smile so big into his chest. You look up to see that adorable little smirk he does, with his hair hanging down and his eyes fixated into yours.
“Awhh, Hamish. Thank you” your cheeks blush as he chuckles, before he lets go of you. Moments like this are your favourite, always.
You look over to see Vera staring outside the window, a panicked look on her face. You’ve never known The Order as you’re not a member, but you’ve heard plenty enough from Hamish and the others to know they’re no good. And that goes for Vera - she only helps if she gets something out of it. None of them have any genuine good in their hearts unless it involved selfishness.
“Okay we’ve got a problem, you have visitors” she turns around, announcing like some high monarchy jester...you can’t help but roll your eyes at her.
“What do you mean? Who’s coming?” Randall asks
“It’s the Order, they’re here for the child” Vera replies
“Well they aren’t getting him. We have to stop them” Lilith cries, actual seriousness in her voice...’damn i’m so proud of her’ you think as you remember how she felt no remorse in killing before.
“She’s right. C’mon” Hamish agrees. As Randall and Lilith go out and their hides come out, Hamish pulls you to the side.
“Y/N, you have to stay in here. It’s too dangerous and i don’t want to lose you okay? We need you here” he looks restless and panicked, a look you haven’t seen on his face so genuine before.
“I’ll be right here, it’s fine. Go!” You reply, kissing him on the cheek as a way to say ‘i’m not losing you either, idiot’. He leans into your kiss, holding his cheek with a smile after and then steps out of the door.
Vera seems to be the only one left inside, so you ponder over to her in an attempt to begin a conversation with her. ‘Maybe she isn’t as bad as the others?’ you think.
“Hey, Vera?” You ask hesitantly
“Urm...yes? Y/N isn’t it?” She replies whilst looking into her book of potions and concoctions
“Yeah, i was just wondering about a spell that could shape shift you into something...or someone else...is there one?” You ask, weary of trusting her
“Of course there’s such spell, it’s like the basics of magic” she replies “why?”
“I was just wondering. I mean, i don’t think this whole plan will work and...”
“You want to help.” She finishes your sentence
“...yeah. I know i’m no knight or member of The Order but i still want to help.” You stutter, playing with your fingers, twirling them around each other
“I see. So you want to shapeshift into someone else?” She replies, turning towards me in curiosity
“I guess...” you begin as you trail on about your plan in order to save everyone and especially, to save Hamish.
Time goes by and you receive a call from Jack
“Jack what’s wrong?” You ask as you hear Jack’s heavy breathing on the other end of the line
“It’s Alyssa, Edward’s got her. He’s got her and won’t give her back until he gets his son back...” he’s running it seems, panic set in his tone and regret “It’s all my fault, it’s my fucking fault. An innocent person is going to die either way because of me now. It’s Alyssa or his second child” he chokes up, clearly about to break down
“Jack, hey, Jack listen to me...it’s NOT your fault, you tried to save everyone and it doesn’t work that way, much like magic - There’s always a price to pay.” You look up to Vera, who sympathetically smiles at you with a sad smile
“Just get back here and we’ll figure something out okay? We’ll get her back, Jack. I promise” you softly say, hearing Jack calm down and agree. You hang up and linger for a second on your home screen - a picture of you and your friends. Hamish is sitting next to you with his arm around you tightly and his other arm holding a cocktail. He’s staring down at you laughing. Randall is on the other side of you, laughing with his head up as if he was mid throwing his head back in laughter. He’s holding one of your hands whilst his other arm is near Lilith. You’re leaning into Hamish’s chest, giggling and looking down with a blushed cheeks, whilst Lilith is sitting next to Randall but not touching anyone (no surprise there) and looking down at Jack laughing. Jack is in front of you all, making a silly face and lying on his side, with one leg up in the air and arm tucked under his head. You’ve all got smiles on your faces and look like a proper family, which is exactly how you see them all.
Vera sees you staring down at your phone, aware that you’re doing something she has never seen anyone willing to do before “You don’t have to do this, there must be another way” She pleas, but you both know no other way is guaranteed to fail Edward of his task. “It’s not too late. Think of what you’re losing”
“Vera i know, but i’m thinking of what i’m earning for those i love” i reply, tears welling in my eyes. Vera understands my position and agrees to help me.
An hour later
“Where’s Y/N? She should be here! She said she would keep safe” Hamish runs up and down the house looking for you, unaware of what’s to come. He’s beginning to get restless and worried more than ever now
“It’s okay, she said she went to get supplies for me. She’ll be back” Vera lies
“We don’t have anymore time. Edward will need a sacrifice by 12, which means we have 20 minutes. And if we don’t give him a sacrifice he’ll kill Alyssa” Jack cries
“I need to give him someone. Guys scrap the plan, i need to go. I have to. I’d never forgive myself if Alyssa dies. Not because of me” Jack screams, anger venting inside him. Randall approaches and tries to calm Jack down before things get messy or before something he regrets happens.
“I need to know Y/N is safe, i couldn’t live if she got hurt” Hamish joined in, gaining looks towards him in surprise but also...guilt...from Vera.
Hamish notices Vera’s guilty look and instantly begins changing into Tundra through anger built inside of him but also...fear.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?” He practically growls at Vera, who holds her hands up to defend herself (as if that’s gonna stop a werewolf pftt). Vera begins to back away in fear of getting eaten alive, but Randall and Jack start to hold Hamish back, as his hide begins to hide again even as he fights against Jack and Randall’s grips
“It was her idea. She’s gone to stop Edward” Vera replies, eyes wide and hands ready to cast a spell as blood seeps from her palm.
“NO we need to stop her” Hamish cries as he breaks free from the boys’ arms and runs out the door, with the others following.
Jack enters the temple to see Edward preparing for his final task - the sacrifice. Alyssa is standing to the side, hands behind her back. She’s been enchanted from performing any spells, as Edward clearly saw he couldn’t trust anyone anymore. Upon Jack’s entrance, Alyssa runs up to him and hugs him, suddenly realisation sets into her glare.
“Jack what are you doing here, you can’t be here he’ll kill you!” She whispers, gripping onto his arm.
“It’s okay, at least you and everyone else will be safe” he replies, rubbing her hand on his arm
“Jack, i don’t see my child...you do know what a trade means don’t you?” Edward mocks, standing straight and tall in an attempt to threaten Jack.
“Grand Magus, you need your first born for the spell to work. Correct? Therefore, i’m here.” He stands tall and strong, stepping in front of Alyssa in a way to protect her. Edward looks around sheepishly, confused at what is happening. He takes a step forward and demands Alyssa tells him the truth. “Is this true, Alyssa? Don’t lie to me. I will know.” He booms, face inches away from Alyssa’s.
Alyssa hesitates before Edward threatens to come closer “okay it’s true. Yes, Grand Magus. He’s your son” she cries, tears threatening to spill as her words came out.
“Very well. Honourable of you, Jack. I must admit. However, that is not a quality you pursue from me.” Edward mocks, as he drags Jack towards the table where the book is. Jack climbs onto the table, as Edward starts summoning words and phrases, eventually producing a knife. Magus takes out the knife from the book
“NO!” Alyssa cries out, tears streaming and hands trembling. Edward ignores her screams and raises the knife in the air, thickening the suspense. Footsteps can be heard from behind the temple doors, lots of them. They sound as if they are quickening towards the door. Jack’s face drops a single tear as Edward releases his arms from the air and stabs him in the chest with the knife. As soon as the knife has been released, the doors burst open and Jack appears. Edward double takes towards Jack, who is standing by the door with Hamish, Vera, Randall and Lilith. He then looks towards his “son” in front of him, only to see him fade into Y/N. Alyssa screams as she falls to her knees. Edward’s timer chimes, as he roars in pain and anger at his failure
“NO. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT” he screams at Y/N’s motionless body on the table. As he stares into the eyes of those before him, he directs his words at Jack
“See you in hell, son.” before he demises away. Hamish and the others run towards Y/N on the table, blood seeping out from her mouth and stab wound. Tears are shed from each person in the room, even Vera. Hamish holds you in his arms, praying that there is a way Y/N can be saved. “You promised me you’d keep safe. You promised me you wouldn’t get hurt” he chokes as tears pour from his bloodshot eyes.
“I...i’m sorry” you stutter, blood quickly spilling as you speak. “I need-“ you’re struggling to speak without choking on your own blood. “I needed to...to make sure you were...were safe” you cough up a pile of blood, as Hamish holds you tighter.
“We need you, i need you” he loudly wails as everyone surrounds you
“I love you, Hamish Duke” you manage to say before coughing even more and gasping for a breath
“Y/N why did you do this” Jack asks as guilt and fear cloud his voice. He grabs your hand and wipes your hair out of your face. His face is completely wet with tears, as well as everyone else’s.
“It’s the only way, to know you’d all be safe” you reply, your voice breaking with tears “and it worked” you half heartedly chuckled
“There’s got to be a way we can save her” Lilith cries out, looking towards Vera and Alyssa. They hang their heads low as their tears drop to the floor. There wasn’t a way, and you knew that. That’s why Vera warned you, but you knew the price you had to pay.
“What...what about a hide? What if that will heal her?” Randall pleads, looking up to his fellow Knights, to which they shake their head. A hide wouldn’t want a dying host.
“I love you so much and I didn’t get to tell you how i felt, Y/N. You’re the one person who makes me smile like never before and we never got the chance to go on dates” Hamish is rocking from side to side holding you in his arms, you look up to him and faintly smile at his confession
“It’s okay” you reply, bringing a bloody hand up to his face as you stroke his cheek with the last of your energy. He cups your hand with his hands, wet with his tears and your blood. His face has lost colour from watching the love of his life dying in his arms
“No it’s not okay. You can’t leave me, i can’t lose you. Y/N don’t close your eyes, don’t you dare close your eyes” he screams as his body shakes violently from shock and tragedy.
“Hamish, i’m alw-“ you’re interrupted from a violent coughing fit, as your face loses colour even quicker. “-always with you” you carry on “i have always loved you, and will till my last breath” you whisper as tears fall towards your pale, cold cheeks. Lilith and Randall are holding each other as Lilith is trying to stop your bleeding. It’s not working though. Hamish leans down and kisses your forehead, lingering for a moment as if he is treasuring this moment for an eternity to come.
“I’m thankful for you all” you begin, slightly lifting your head to see your family around you “you’re all my family, and i love you all so much” as you’re addressing them all, they whimper in pain and grab your hands, squeezing them tightly. Randall kisses your cheek and puts his forehead on yours, leaving a final kiss on your forehead. Lilith grips your hand tighter than ever before, thinking of your friendship and how she sees you as a sister, and to see her sister dying in front of her is something that will always haunt her. Hamish doesn’t want this to be real...he planned how he would tell you he loved you, where he would take you for your first date, the places you two would travel for road trips, the pets you two would get together, where he would propose to you...now he can’t. He never planned on telling you he loved you on your death bed, it’s destroying him.
“Thank you for everything, my family” you mutter faintly as your energy is leaving you. As you see the faces around you, you see what you always imagined you’d see before you die - your family surrounding you. That’s how you wanted it. With that, you smile one last time at Hamish, stroke his cheek with your thumb, then everything goes black and your body becomes numb. Your hand falls to the floor, and the Knights howl into the air with grief, pain and anger. They knew the Order was to blame for your death, and they would not let your death be in vain. You’d always be remembered in their pack, and with every moment they lived, they’d take a moment to think of you, and think of their love for you. How you saved people you didn’t know, and how you did it for them. Hamish never stopped thinking about you, even years after your death. He was different after that, they all were.
Hope you guys liked it! Let me know if you want me to do more and who you want me to write about :) love always 🖤
