Went to Comic Fiesta yesterday as Sodo/Dewdrop! Had so much fun. I made several parts of the costume from scratch - the mask using a pattern by maoh.cosplay/maohh_ (Insta and tiktok handles respectively), the waistcoat, and the cravatte (including the skeleton bead). I altered the boots, and my mum helped me alter the shirt and pants. I started back in November but it still wasn’t technically finished; I’ve never cosplayed seriously before (only “homage” outfits really) and really underestimated how much time it would take! It was so satisfying seeing it come together though and I’ll probably keep picking at it for a future con.

Also, I got asked for a photo by 5 people, and 2 of those not only recognised I was a nameless ghoul, but Sodo specifically! They were so excited and so was I. Really great :D

Other highlights:

- Old man golf clapping me as I walked to the con

- Guy turning around in the queue and pogging when he saw me

- Child on train absolutely entranced and doing the whole staring-looking away-staring thing at me for several stops
