So the saddest and most terrifying thing abt Dragons Rising is that ALL THE NINJA were canonically ALONE for YEARS.

Yes Kai and Lloyd knew each about each other being alive. But still!

The Ninja were separated long enough for Arin and Sora to go from clearly a child to clearly a teenager (at best that's 3-4 years).

Moreover, the Realms think the Ninja are gone!

I just.

I think about Lloyd alone in the Monastery patching up the cracks in reality a lot.

I think about Kai alone on the Bounty searching for the rest of their family and sending letters back to Lloyd so he and his little brother can stay sane a lot.

I think about Zane in a coma and Nya protecting the Craglings and Cole surviving and building a new family a lot.

Ironically, Jay and Zane may have had it the easiest. No memories of loss for one and just being shut down for years without knowing for the other.

But Kai and Lloyd? Ouch man. Ouch.

I feel like Nya became wayyy more independent after jay’s disappearance. Like hear me out, she was always independent, stubbornly so. But, what I’m talking about is that she became independent emotionally.

The nya we knew before dr constantly doubted herself, didn’t think she could do something that everyone else knew she could. Jay was the one to give her hope. It was always jay. He was the reason she believed she could do anything, and his constant praise begot a need for validation from him for her. In other words, she didn’t think she could do something until Jay told her she could.

So many people theorise that Jay’s praise became a sort of common thing for nya. But I think it’s the opposite. I think she’s never been used to received that kind of attention from anyone, so when she got it from him she began to need it.

However, all this changed with one event: the merge. We know for a fact that Nya had been through a lot after the merge. She says so herself. That same episode (dr s1 ep4) she says “I’m trying not to lose hope, but it’s hard not to.” In reference to Kai being lost. But o think she applied this kind of thinking to all the other situations she had been in since the merge.

It’s clear she went through something traumatic, otherwise it would have been discussed openly in the show the second she was found. This makes me believe that she had to fend for herself a lot.

Nya, after the merge, was thrown into situations where she didn’t have anyone in her corner for once. She didn’t have someone to tell her she could do it. She didn’t have Jay. And while this was extremely hard on her for the most part, eventually, she had to learn to take care of herself.

Nya now had to bring the hope from within herself and not from within Jay. She had to be the one encouraging herself, telling herself she could do it.

And that’s why we see Nya change. That’s why her principles have also sort of changed, and now instead of being the one being encouraged, she is transformed into one who encourages others. Her dynamic with Sora and Wyldfire is further proof. She motivates, gives them hope.

That’s why she never loses hope that her Jay could come back to her. That’s why she’s smiling the entire time that Jay is being rude to the others (dr s3 ep10)

She’s finally holding out hope. For herself. For her family. For her Yang.

silly question- but do we think there’s a possibility that Lloyd had his own somewhat small adventure post merge/pre dragons rising that could come up in the future?

We know a lot of time passed between. And it feels a little silly to think he remained at the monastery indefinitely when he was alive and functioning. Although, I think thats what he said as he was waiting for the ninja to see if they returned?

We know he was out exploring in the pursuit of closing the merge quakes. So there’s a possibility he ran into some familiar faces and stayed in a few places.

Same goes for Zane and Pixal just being locked away in their machines.

Idk I just feel like all the other ninja have had an adventure/major character building from their time post merge. It just seems like Lloyd has gotten worse in a way. So much anxiety. Which is still character building don’t get me wrong. But I feel the three of them deserve something a bit more?

I think it has something to do with Lloyd being a main character as a reason for not sending him on an adventure during dragons rising. However I would love some backstory or the writers to let Lloyd go a little in the future so he can grow and recover.

It feels like they’re scared to have Lloyd off screen for too long- even if that means he’s there but not adding much important dialogue or information such is his behaviour in Dragons Rising S3P1- where he’s with the group but either dissociating or not given much by the writers.

Honestly I just want a little mini series for each ninja.

God I just want Lloyd to go find himself lmao. Just like any young adult. I would love to see that care freeness again.

honestly the merge as a concept is so cool to me, especially since Ninjago already canonically has other realms. it’s not that big of a stretch that all of them would combine together for some sort of reason.

The missing posters/ the Administration

And please keep in mind, I have not seen the P2 leaks, so these could all be very very wrong XD

The snake, Delphine,… was that Agent SssSss Underwood? And the boy in the poster next to her, was that Agent Roderick Allen? 

Probably a long shot. Still, I might as well through it out there!

What if the Administration wasn't created until the Merge? What if there is some secret villain trying to numb and distract their most formidable challengers by trapping them in the mindless madness of the Administration? What if the characters we haven't seen (Skylor, Garmadon, Misako, Harumi, etc.) are being held there now? What if it is only thanks to Wu that most of the ninja managed to escape? What if Jay didn't escape from the Administration, but is being used as bait to draw out the other ninja? What then???

Sheesh. That went a lot further than I thought it would. This just started out being about posters, for crying out loud.

Civilian memes post-merge YET AGAIN

So far we have 3 confirmed realms that house sentient anthropomorphic animals. The Serpentine are the only ones who have been semi-confirmed to have a chance to be related to Chima. So I think it'd be really funny if most of Chima ends up vibing with people from the Wyldness WAYYY better than the Serpentine. Just to be annoying
