Alex headcanons

Wanted to be a knight when he was a child. Horse and lance, sword and suit of armor. Shiny. Made one out of tinfoil, scraps of Evelyn's fabric, and a broom stick. Neighbor kids made fun of him. He didn't dress up again.

Joined a yoga class on a dare. Well actually because he saw a pretty girl through the window and straight up walked into the glass. The instructor made him take the class. Something about balance and coordination.

Almost thought about joining the army right outta high school. He barely passed and wasn't sure college was for him. But the thought of dying while his grandparents (his only relatives) still lived qnd didnt have anyone to take care of them was too unnerving. He didn't want to leave them all alone. Still likes war movies sometimes.

Conscientious about his scent. Keeps his pit hairs trimmed. Religious about showering after working out. Keeps a spare deodorant in his truck. Leaves a trail of cologne - clean, just-out-of-shower scent, not too weighty, a bit soapy, rainforest mist like.

Has helped Sam out with his community service before because this man weirdly loves digging fence posts.

Also loves carrying things - groceries for his grandma (or the pretty farmer), barrels of ale and whiskey, folding tables from festivals, tools up a ladder, etc. Both arms full. Things normal people can carry on multiple trips. Alex gets it all and doesn't break a sweat. Would carry the farmer too (if she'd let him - and you know he's carrying her bridal style on their wedding night).

Loves a challenging ropes course. Can rappel down a wall or a mountain side. Can complete a obstacle course faster than anyone else. Would give Kent a run for his money at army crawling. Absolutely goes nuts about hiking, bouldering, free climbing too. Would probably do spelunking too if... he wasn't a teeny but afraid of the dark... because...

Kept a nightlight in his room until he was a teenager. It's why he never did sleepovers with the other kids. That and he hit puberty early. Towering over grade schoolers was only cool for like a minute. But you can reach things on the top shelf, I guess.

Occasionally freelances for the Adventurer's Guild. Gives guided hiking tours up into the mountains above the Valley or secret woods for tourists. He would be enthusiastic too - swinging his arms and waving his hands around while telling stories and pointing out cool sights.

His hugs are big, and leave you feeling wrapped up, but in a good way. Like a cozy warm blanket. You feel safe and loved.

He's a cuddler... while you watch TV together, while you read books together (yes, he likes sports magazines and biographies of his heroes), and while you sleep. He's definitely the big spoon and makes you feel cherished. That's until he starts snoring... lightly. You'll have to nudge him to stop. And those arms do get... heavy. And he's definitely elbowed his companion in bed before.

He's a bit of a wimp when it comes to shots. It's why he would never get a tattoo or get his ears pierced. He doesn't like needles. (They might also remind him of his mom and her treatments when he was little).

He once posed for a campaign poster for a lumberjack festival. Lewis had little success. Only a dozen young girls showed up on the bus that day. No actual woodchoppers. Needless to say, Alex kills it in plaid. Think Brawny paper towel guy vibes without the facial hair.

Also did a modeling gig for Pierre once to sell some winter gear. Haley took the photos. Alex is a natural in front of the camera. Again, lots of female visitors... erm... customers to the town for a period of two days. He may or may not have autographed the ad for one of the ladies.

He's shouldered a lot of responsibility from a young age. His dad ran out on them. His mom was sick. His grandparents aren't the healthiest. Alex has picked up odd jobs since he was eight. Recycling bottlecaps. ♻️ Washing cars. Lemonade stand. 🍋

Delivering newspapers was one of his first real paying gigs. Granny gave him one of George's old newsboy caps. Alex wore it with pride. He's got an incredible swing for it. That's how he met Sam actually. (I like to think these two would be sort-of friends). Sam talked about music and boarding and surfing. Alex talked about the high school Alma Mater fight song and baseball and weightlifting.

Sam and Alex built an epic sandcastle village on the beach one year at the Luau. Both were bored. Vincent helped too. It was impressive... until high tide came in. Haley snapped a photo first at least.

Inspired by Grandpa George, he took a dance class. That's how he met Haley (when they were late teens). He was her favorite dance partner. He could actually lift her without dropping her. And he didn't step on his toes. He's actually pretty light on his feet. Tried tap dancing too but that wasn't as successful (or cool looking).

Named MVP for his high school gridball team. Would've gone on to play in uni but just didn't have the grades. And he needed to stay close for Granny and George. Still keeps his trophies from every sport he's ever played in his room.

Would challenge anyone to an arm wrestling contest any day. Has actually made some money at the Stardew Valley Fair this way. Out of towners might underestimate him. Amateurs! Shane is the only one who's come close to besting Alex and only then because he was drunk. Sober Shane might have stood a chance.

Bought George a big recliner with his very first paycheck from his adult job. Comfy cushions, high quality leather, great arm rests. George never sits in it because he had his mining accident shortly after and so it sits unused in a storage closest somewhere collecting dust. Still every once in a while, George wheels by and thinks about his grandson's thoughtfulness.

Will carry any of the Farmer's picked produce back to the bins, trekking across the fields, or will personally deliver products to Pierre's. By the armful. Corn, lettuce, bushels of broccoli, squash, grapes, tomatoes. He can carry 3 or 4 buckets at a time. Or by the basket. The big round baskets that the average person can only carry one at a time.

Likes the smell of freshly washed cars. And the air after it rains. New leather on a ball. Granny's freshly baked cookies.

Would literally be your shoulder to cry on. No seriously, people have. His mom before she passed. Evelyn after her frustrations with George. Haley after a boy she liked dumped her. Even Emily after one awkward moment as she was taking out the trash behind the Saloon and felt overwhelmed about a disturbing vision she had. He is always willing to comfort those he cares about.

Doesn't really cook but he can make a mean cheesy macaroni casserole. It's one of the few recipes he learned as a boy that has stuck with him.

Feels strongly about cheating in sports. And popping pills to make someone stronger. Especially because his mom was ill. He knows there are people out there who really need medicines. Illegal drugs are a disgrace to the profession.

Would absolutely spend his days fixing up the farmhouse, repairing the barn, sprucing the greenhouse, patching up the chicken coop while the farmer worked the fields and orchards and took care of livestock. I have this longstanding belief that Alex would make an excellent handyman in the Valley. Maybe it starts out as an apprenticeship with Robin. He's gifted with a sander, a wrench, a saw. And this man looks great in a backward cap, tight jeans, and a tool belt. He likes to feel useful, stay busy, and work with his hands. Painting your bedroom and repairing your shower leak would be his first projects once moving to the farm.

things I consider canon to my flashlight duo universe:

gregory and Evan move in together when they're adults. evan runs to live with the fazbears as soon as he turns 18 and they go from there. whether it's college or just an apartment

gregory is what introduces Evan to drawing and he loves it. they both keep up with the hobby when they're older as well. gregory likes drawing comics and maybe becomes a graphic novelist and I think Evan would like painting

Evan eventually meets vanessa when hes about 14 and she becomes the older sibling he always wanted. he always felt intimidated by her idea because shes Gregory's actual biological sibling and Evan holds that to a high honor because he wants to be. but they get along and vanessa being there for Evan makes him feel like part of the family even more

Roxy and evan are close. roxy kinda takes Evan under her wing because although its not the same experience because roxy had a support system her whole life, she wants to help him through what she also went through. she helps him learn an outlet to control his emotions more to be more manageable and is a calm shoulder to lean on for evan.

in the event that the bite happens (it doesnt usually), I think after Evan heals and recovers he and bonnie would bond over their scars and bonnie would make him feel better about them

evan meets cassidy later on when hes mellowed out some. I dont think she would have liked him a lot before but when hes healed more and gotten better with his sensitivity they get along pretty good. I think cassidy wouldnt have many friends and probably be considered a troublemaker because of her anger issues and her lashing out and Evan uses what hes learned with his emotions to help her. I'll say they're both teens here

freddy and the other adults wanted nothing more than to march over to the Aftons and declare that they're taking Evan forever but they couldnt. I think that they wanted to actually go through a process of adoption and taking custody but that would have affected Michael too and I'm not sure if they thought it was worth it. especially when Evan says hes alright with the fact that things arent perfect and that he already practically spends his whole life there anyway with how he spends the night.

I imagine william isnt the best cook and Michael probably has other means of getting food on top of not minding eating frozen dinners. but I imagine Evan probably didn't like a lot of foods (hes a kid and also. neurodivergent) and didnt have many things he enjoyed. so I think chica saw this and introduced evan to different foods and tried to help him figure out what he likes so he can eat better and enjoy it at the same time

off screen when they're not having a moment with eachother every 5 seconds they play games like roblox and minecraft since they're in the modern day. I think Gregory gave Evan one of his older phones that still worked since he didnt have his own (theres nothing wrong with it, just an older model and maybe a little slow) and he plays on that.

gregory will draw during sleepovers and then give it to Evan to color in. gregory always keeps them and hangs them up or puts them somewhere for safe keeping because Evan doesnt want something to happen to them at his house

evan is an avid sweater wearer and the Fazbears buy him more when he only has like 1 or 2 and his other clothes are starting to get too small. he keeps sweaters at Gregory's house because he basically lives there already

michael starts to lay off a bit after a little while (think a couple years) just because Evan isnt even around as much for him to terrorize. Michael doesn't like being at home either and since they dont see eachother as much bullying Evan isnt in his minds eye as often. it just doesnt come to mind to do as much at that point

because of genes and chica helping him eat good, evan grows to be taller than Michael

YAY OC ASK TIME!! I actually answered this on the app and tumblr poofed it. So im going to reanswer the questions again lol. Its going to be a long one so BUCKLE UP CUS HERE WE GO!

If they were an animal what animals would they be?

Sephtis would be a black cat 🐈‍⬛, Izara a bunny 🐇, Benny an otter 🦦 and I have really introduced him to the blog yet and gotten into his character, but Dante would be a dog 🐶 specifically a Jack Russell

2. Do they have any siblings? hows their relationship with family?

I love this question and I will get more into detail with all of my ocs in another post or in their character page (when i create one :3)

Sephtis has an older sister (three years older). They both have a good relationship with their mother, but a terrible one with their father. Their dad actually cut ties with them because they are both (according to him) "a disgrace to the company and family name" he ended up giving the company to their cousin because neither of them wanted to inherit their fathers company, nor cared about his business lol. Their father was never really there for them, their mother practically had a facade the entire marriage & fought so much for Seph and his sister to live "normal lives" as nepo babies (lol) they were pretty popular in school because of their bg which they hated. Their parents divorced Sephs senior year of hs and at that time is when his dad cut ties w him as well.

Izara is an only child. She has a good relationship with her parents. They're more on the traditional side & older people, so sometimes they dont see eye to eye, especially when she was in Junior High & High school. Izara's interests concerned them (literally just regular interests teenagers have that freak out ethnic parents bc they need theyre becoming demons or some shit lol) also didnt like that she loved art and wanted to be an artists/art curator. Eventually though, they understood that they cant control what their daughter does with her future and that is all up to her ( I think they left her alone more so because they realized she is successful in her art and modeling career).

Benny is the youngest of 4. He has 3 sisters. His relationship with his parents was really shitty growing up, sadly. He is gay & hes known that for his whole life. Having 3 sisters and being the only boy, he loved to play with dolls. His parents being very religious, seeing him play with dolls, was not something they liked. Even if he was just playing with his sisters. In school, he was bullied. There was name calling and rumors that spread around about him. His parents hated the rumors and name calling not because it hurt Benny, but because it makes them look like bad Catholics. Benny truly only had his sisters and other female friends by his side throughout school. It wasnt until high school where things seemed to change for the better. This especially were better because he had Sephtis. His parents have come around, but they def took their time to finally accept their son.

Sephtis is from Osaka, Japan (Mt. Komorebi) then moved to Los Angeles at age 4 (Del Sol Valley). He speaks English and Japanese!

Izara is from New York (San Myshuno), shes Ethiopian-American. She speaks English and Amharic.

Okay so Sephtis & Izara are afraid of movie characters LMAO Sephtis will forever be afraid of Kayako (The Grudge) movie he watched as a kid with his sister that scarred him as a child ksfkksfks. Ok I wouldnt say Benny's is stupid....hes afraid of bugs specifically roaches. I mean logically, hes bigger than them so he can step on them and kill them, but he just finds them super fucking gross that he cant bring himself to do that lol.

- aegon surprised his family when he said he wanted to bring his new girlfriend over for dinner. alicent was hesitant, most of his girlfriends in the past were unsavoury but he insisted you were different. alicent, who always had a habit of giving into aegon’s every want eventually agreed. 

- you were different. you were kind, smart and shy. aemond was instantly taken with you, his first thought after seeing you was hoping to god you were one of halena’s friends and not the girl aegon was seeing. of course when he sat down at dinner and saw you sitting with aegon, his hopes were short lived. 

- it wasn’t fair. aegon got everything he ever wanted. girls, money, his mothers attention. aemond never had much luck with girls, sure some approached him but he had trouble keeping their attention for long. but to aegon it came so easy. 

- aemond, already on edge made a few snark comments about aegon’s job, or there lack of whilst the same time talking about the new cooperate job he had just acquired after collage. 

- that had the opposite effect, instead you only squeezed aegon’s hand and gave him a soft smile. aemond scoffed and kept quite the rest of the dinner. so what, so what if you thought he was the asshole and not his clearly asshole brother, you didnt know him and he didn’t know you. who cares. who cares. but aemond cared. 

- he cared at night when he thought of your soft smile and beautiful hair, he thought about the things you said and how you spoke. about the way your sweater hugged your body, it drove him crazy. 

- of course, you became quick friends with halena. which means aemond saw you more often, a blessing and a curse. you were often with halena when she came to pick up aemond. you were always kind and polite to him, making him fall even more for you that you didn’t hold his snarky comments about aegon against him. 

- aemond made note of every thing you talked about; the coffee you liked, the music you listened too, the movies you watched. and when you started sleeping over, sleeping with aegon in the basement, aemond would go out in the morning to buy you a coffee (under the pretence of going out for himself and then just being friendly.) the $6.50 ice latte was absolutely worth it when you would say “thank you so much, aemond. you’re too sweet.” another bonus was its made aegon feel like a shit that his little brother was off getting his girl coffee, making you a plate at family barbecues and generally offering you anything he thought you needed. 

- aemond never had the typical sexual appetite when he was a teenager, sure he had been attracted to some girls in his past and maybe fooled around with a few for a bit but the desire for sex was never strong with him. until he met you. you awoke something in him and now it won’t be put it out. 

- he knows its wrong its to think about you in such ways, he tries to think of some other girls when he uses his hand for relief. some actress or model but it never worked. he only found his high when he was thinking about your warmth, your tongue, your chest. the particular memory of you having an icy pop at a barbecue. 

- but it was the thoughts of what comes after sex appeased aemond more, you would cuddle into his chest, with his arm around you, whispering sweet things to you and kissing your hair. 

- it made his blood boil and chest tighten when he thought of his brother enjoying you that way. aegon doesn’t deserve you. he doesn’t know how to treat a women properly, he knows that from when he was in high school and girls would leave their house crying and screaming after aegon broke their heart. aemond couldn’t let that happen to you, won’t let that happen to you. it doesn’t matter to him how much aegon says he’s changed, how much he acts differently with you. aemond just knows it won’t last and the sooner the better. 

- aemond waited patiently. he waited and waited but weeks turned into months and aegon hadn’t cheated on you. and all the other shit he did, you forgave him. you had such an open heart, aemond knew it wasn’t safe in aegon’s hands. and he got tired of being patient. so he took matters into his own hands. 

- he tried to be subtle, mention how much aegon must missing sleeping around with his fair share of girls but he denied it. aemond tried his best to highlight your flaws, though he didn’t get too far with that (scared aegon would relay what he said to you.) 

- so eventually he just took aegon aside and said, “remember when i covered for you after you released classified information when you were interning for our father? blamed it on his assistant? i always kept proof it was you. do you want our father to find out how much of a screw up you really are?” 

“what the fuck do you want, aemond?” 

“break up with [name.] you don’t deserve her.” 

“I fucking knew you had thing for her. are you serious? come on aemond, i finally found a girl who’s good for me and-“

- aemond was thrilled. soon you would be his like you were supposed to be. of course, aemond had always thought the soft smiles and kindness you showed him was because you had feelings for him also, and not just you being nice. 

- so when he started asking you to hang out, just the two of you, you were confused. you accepted his invitation to get dinner, thinking it was just something casual at a fast food place but aemond had taken you to a fancy restaurant. 

- aemond told you of his feelings for you. he assured you that you could take things slow, as you were still fresh from your breakup with aegon. you did not know how to respond, you had never had the slightest idea that aemond was interested in you and now he was here. 

- “you are so beautiful, did he ever tell you that?” 

“yeah, he did. all the time.” 

that only made aemond tense up, his eyes went dark and jaw clenched. he didn’t like to be reminded that his delusions of aegon being a terrible boyfriend were only his imagination. he needed it to be real, he needed you to need him as he needed you. 

“you don’t have to lie to yourself anymore my darling. it’s just you and me now.”  his hand was on your thigh now under the table, the longer you took to reply the harder he pressed down on your leg. “i told you, we can still take things slow but i just want you to know i’m here for you.” 

- you and aemond had different ideas of taking things slow. he didn’t push you for sex right away but he started calling you his girlfriend before you had even discussed it, and would show you off in front of aegon not understanding how uncomfortable it made you. 

- aemond didn’t notice any reservations you had for the relationship, he only saw his perfect girl that was finally his.

When she learns the battle in DP029 is gonna be recorded, her first instinct is to get out of the camera's view and get her hair fixed (not to mention any time her hair gets messed up and made fun of and how one time she passed out because of it).

Ash asks her for a dance at DP082 and while one can only guess why she rejected it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was out of shame (specially with how he danced lmao).

When she wins the award for best bonding with Grimer in DP088, her reaction is to blush shyly at the praises (unnusual for her!)

During the johto festival in DP143, Lyra calls Dawn on for a battle and her first reaction is to freak out. Only after some peer pressure (and support), that she goes for it.

Dawn only did the cheerleader thing during rematches and everytime there were very few people around (and the fact she didnt dress up for the Leon battle kinda adds that she only does that with a small number of people as witnesses)

Meanwhile..

Serena seemed very comfortable and not at all nervous about having a camera on her at all times for the pokevision thing in XY021 and having her videos seen by folks worldwide(!)

She did the modeling thing for Valerie in XY073 and while she did look nervous, she seemed to get over it pretty fast the moment her friends showed up (even talking to them from the catwalk lmao).

Dressing up as Ash and taking his place during a battle with a random dude at XY115 with no shame? Other pokegirls could never.

She made a Showcase presentation for the whole town to see at XY138!!

context! im writing these notes as i watch so theyre a little disorganized

for reference i also rewatched the original immediately prior to the sequel

not opening with the classic beetlejuice muisic ?? even the stage show opens with that music where is it (EDIT- restarted it and it actually does open w the music, but it is much less fun/campy an and more of a spooky remix so i forgot)

its not plot necessary but i do wish we learned how BJ fixed his shrunken head and death by sandworm

where are the maitlands ???? 0 mention of adam and barbra at the beginning ?

BJ's ex wife intro was a very creative concept but i wish they did it with more sfx props and less cgi/green screen

Had the most bizarre and vivid dream during my nap i just woke up from. Ill try and summarize...

Im not sure if it started as asoue or addams family. I think it was asoue at first. I was playing this video game where you first had to climb up this stairwell with lavender walls on bannisters and other platforms. A large, frankenstein-esque feature would chase you, eating the platforms behind you.

Once you reached the top, there was a long hallway with two offices on the end, one opened and one closed. You had to ignore the open one and knock on the closed one. The woman inside would let you in and let you escape through a porthole shaped window, which i had to squeeze through every time.

This was asoue related because it was about some vfd stuff. Not sure of specifics.

It kinda shifted to addams family after this, specifically the animated version that came out within the past few years. That movie actually wasn't about the addams family for the majority of it; they only showed up at the end, where they would reveal they survived on a diet of gore and viscera. You learned this in the 2nd, open office that you could explore while the frankenstein was still in the stairwell (you had lots of time to do this because he was extremely slow).

The first part of the movie started with...wwe footage??? And slowly got weird. My dream quickly shifted gears to have the movie be mostly pnf related at that point.

It was some weird AU where candace and jeremy met while working as child actors/models for things like cereal commercials/boxes. Her home life was extremely different. Phineas and ferb didn't exist, but she had 11 or 12 brothers and sisters, and they all lived in a trailer.

Her and jeremys relationship was super different. He was basically only dating her because of their shared situations. There was a song late in the movie about how he didnt want their future kids to have to deal with their divorce once it happened. It was kind of insane. So they broke up.

There were a lot of other weird details. Like fred (johnson, not jones) ended up being born as candaces little brother instead of her son, and there was some text post about fate and how it worked in mysterious ways. And there was a behind the scenes bit with dress rehearsal for the movie. Mitchel musso was there and he was practicing a scene where he kissed candace's actress in a cafeteria, but it wasn't ashley tisdale.

There was also a tangent where i was playing VR and i was in the 2nd office. It was like VRchat. I kept switching to different locations after that, trying to look for my sib who was also playing, but i couldn't find them. Ig it was the official video game of the film or something. I kept running into people doing serious roleplaying.

Anyway. That was my dream just now. If you read that whole thing you have earned my respect because i mostly just write these down for my own reference. Also to kinda ease myself out of the dream world. Because my brain was very much still in the mode of "i have to watch this entire movie NOW i need to log it on letterboxd"

And while I understand Elsa's side, I'm explaining Anna's since you guys love to bring up the mistakes she did when her brain has not fully matured yet in the first movie. The point in this is that it was not Elsa nor Anna's faults. They were literal children when it happened, and their parents didn't know what to do because their kid has literal ice magic like.. none of her parents or grandparents even had anything like that so they did what they could to keep them both safe, but obviously that did not work. They're kinda flawed on the "conceal don't feel" part tho.

I think Kia n Austin make a nice looking couple bt thats about it lol i personally didnt like Elvis bt I get why he has a fanbase now and with Kaia the paps stay on her ass even thoufh I dont really see a lot of her modeling campaigns like that (compared to other models like Bella or Kendall).
