So I saw @phtalogreenpoison comment somewhere about an MBS ATLA AU and it got me thinking:

Would the kids each have a different element, or would Curtain be like. The fire nation, expect SQ is an air bender for some reason (he has to be air bender. That is non-negociable. He deserves to fly with his bird friends).

Would the twins have opposing elements, the same elements, OR would they be non benders who have teams of bending children? If they did have bending, Nicholas as an uncle Iroh type fire bender and Curtain as a water blood bender would be cool.

Does the avatar exist in this universe and if so, who is it? (Is it SQ? Is that why Curtain is using him? Or is it Constance?)

Milligan and Kate give me earth bender vibes for some reason. Though, I feel like you could also do air for Kate because of Madge and her circus tricks, and I also feel like Kate and Milligan would still be super powerful as nonbenders. (But Kate would be a powerful metal bender and I’d like to see that). OOHHH wait new idea: Milligan and Kate as non benders BUT Kate is like Ty Lee: they were both in the circus and Kate can do chi blocking. Now there’s an idea…

How is blood bending gonna fit into this? And who are the water benders gonna be?

This is a suggestion: Constance as those fire benders with the third eye that enables them to explode things with their minds. Since she is psychic. Although I could also see her as an earth bender who launches rocks at Curtain’s head. There’s probably so much more I could add to this but these are my initial thoughts.

I’M OFFICIALLY BROKEN.

So, as people might’ve heard, Disney plus has been taking certain original titles off their platform to cut costs. Which, doesn’t quite make sense in of itself, but I digress. Anyway.

They had the AUDACITY to take off two of my FAVORITE newer things on the platform. The Mysterious Benedict Society series and a movie called Magic Camp.

UGH I AM ACTUALLY DEVASTATED.

And because they’re Disney+ originals and such, I can NEVER WATCH THEM AGAIN which is absolutely TRAGIC. And I am so extremely mad that I can’t even form coherent thoughts. Just fuming right now. And yeah, this happened in may and I didn’t notice until now. But that is NOT THE POINT. The point is, I loved these things and Disney has RIPPED them out of my grasp. They also took of Flora and Ulysses which I WAS LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF.

I also didn’t even know a new season of MBS had come out because I saw ZERO marketing for it. At this point Disney is just sabotaging themselves.

Agh I’m just so sad and mad and I need people to feel my pain.

I don’t know how upset I’m supposed to be when now piracy sites are the only place to go watch Mysterious Benedict Society tv show. When people don’t even know it existed in the first place.

It’s well casted, cute and quirky, and now doomed to be forgotten (even more).

Question: If I rewrote the Mysterious Benedict Society teleplay to make it more accurate to the books, would anyone read it?

ok i don't think this is actually what happened in canon but what if mr benedict wasn't faking going coma. curtains confession actually was enough to snap him out of it, and then he made the impulsive split second decision to try and spare his brother some devastation and lied that he'd faked it

Disney Channel’s Missed Opportunity

So it’s now been almost 2 months since Mysterious Benedict Society was cancelled.

The end of this month, Disney Channel is premiering the 3rd season of Secrets of Sulphur Springs which has a, imo, very similar tone and look, both being TV-PG single camera young ensemble cast mystery adventure shows.

When MBS S2 was airing, they had a weird Tuesday Disney Channel premiere in order for a Disney+ premiere after on Wednesday

What I think would have been a better idea would have been to create a Friday “Mystery Block” and pair up these 2 shows back to back then put the episodes on Disney+ Saturday, which could have given MBS more views, then a random Tuesday night. 

Edited addition: Even Disney+ itself knows it’s similarites as the shows are the first in the suggested tab for the other one...

Okay, I feel like the show is an underrated children show that should’ve gotten more love. BUT the villain aspect is annoying me. I like seeing Tony Hale playing two different characters. It truly feel like two different people. But the fighting him on things got old for me quick.

The parts I really enjoyed are the friendships between the children, interactions with Mr. Benedict and his crew. Although Season 2’s Number 2 need to stand up. The moment Benedict turned happy, she should’ve left his ass there 😂😂

Pause. I’m on the last episode and forget what I said. Mr. Benedict tricked me good. 😂😂 All the Garrison and Grey men I didn’t care for. BUT the complex dynamics between Benedict and Curtains is interesting to watch.

Overall, I enjoyed the show. I hate we won’t get a season 3 because that ending gave hint to something good…..but this was a decent ending.
