Okay but Ed and Stede having their moment, kissing and confessing their love for one another while Zheng is right there literally fighting for her life has got to be one of the funniest moments of this episode

no you guys listen the moon wasn’t full. it was specifically stated in interviews that the full moon from the original “you wear fine things well” scene was part of the big romance fantasy that Ed and Stede were building in their heads, huge and glowing and unrealistic. This time, the moon isn’t as bright and it isn’t full, not because the love and the tenderness is gone, but because the illusion is. They’ve grown as people and don’t want a ridiculous dream or a whim this time around. This is a love that is grounded, that is honest, that takes time and hard work. Ed and Stede can see each other properly now, and what they see is beautiful.

The funniest thing that could happen in ofmd season 2 is Stede and Izzy hanging out so much they accidentally become best friends and both absolutely horrified when someone (definitely Oluwande or Jim) points it out to them.

Like I can definitely see a situation happening where Stede goes off into danger and Izzy is adamant that he’s not going after him to help but it immediately cuts to a scene of him going after him and all you can hear is him going “stupid fucking Stede Bonnet” like we know he’d say something like that.

Enemies who grow to care about each other is my favourite thing.

I love that the whole fandom agreed Stede topped the first time.

However, if you think that's how they will keep doing it forever you are wrong. Stede finally got the man he wanted and got to do something so good with him it made Edward Teach throw out his leathers and become a housewife, and now that he got a taste, this hedonistic little man who found out what Good Sex With Someone You Love is like, is about to try every flavor of it. he will see Ed having a good time and think 'I want what he's having'

And Ed. Look at him and tell me that's not a man who's willing to do anything to make his boyfriend happy, and this is not a look of somebody who Will introduce this repressed man to his prostate later. That's a service top in the making.

They are two super inventive, imaginative men who are so obsessed with each other and trust each other, who live in the middle of nowhere. if you do not think they will invent 858 new ways to have sex, probably publish a new Kamasútra for queer pirates and publish it in hard binding and sell it at the inn's gift shop, you're wrong

I am SO grateful that ed and stede exist as characters exactly as they are. I'm so grateful for these two men who are traumatized and messed up and struggle to even like themselves, who are terrible at communicating, who make enough mistakes between the two of them to fill an entire ocean. I am so grateful to watch them struggle and be seen and be loved and reach out for the things they want and are maybe starting to believe that they deserve. I'm so grateful that the show lets them fall in love and get together exactly as they are, that it doesn't say they need to wait until they've become some unattainably perfect version of themselves before they have permission to have that. i am so grateful for ofmd
