This may just be my favourite clip ever. Gary screaming "I can't pick United players!", Roy facepalming, Jamie's shit-stirring with "I can't believe he picked Gerrard over Scholes!" and then still picking Gary for right-back and Roy for captain.. perfection.
It takes a lot to open up in public like this, fair play to Dele for doing so and for getting himself in a position where he felt he could. And hats off to Gary for being proactive and wanting to speak to the young lad. ❤️
Actually one cool thing bout stick to football is that all these senior pundits and legendary ex players instantly shut the f up and listen whenever Jill Scott contributes to the discussion. Like Roy telling off Carra the one time he accidentally cuts her off 🥺.
Trigger warning: Sexual abuse, addiction and mental health.
In this powerful episode of The Overlap, Gary Neville sits down to have a heartfelt conversation with Dele, as he courageously speaks about his recent circumstances on and off the pitch and the profound challenges he endured throughout his childhood and long-lasting effects of trauma it has caused him.
Dele opens up about his recent battle with addiction and his remarkable journey of rehabilitation as well his unwavering aspiration to inspire those facing similar circumstances to speak up.
Dele hopes his brave admission can inspire others to seek the help they need. If you or anyone you know has been affected by any of the themes in this interview you can speak to the following organisations.

currently watching Dele Alli's interview with Neville..I feel really bad for the lad..I really do..and it's so eye opening. It's great that he decides to open up like that.
Hopefully he'll find his form again after his recovery. Massive props as well to Everton, for being understanding and caring for him in his difficult time.
