hi I don't think this duo gets enough love, so here are my fave screenshots of Raph and Leo mirroring each other! :D

+bonus:

look at this frame! don't their poses look similar, even though they're in totally different places?? well, there's a simple reason for it! we can see raph in the driver seat, his left hand on the wheel, while the other one's searching for someting, it's symbolising his active role as leader, while leo stands alongside him, his left hand on a handhold while he gestures with the other, showing him being less active and more of a passive presence, but he's ready on his feet, it's symbolising his potential as raph's co-leader but also him not yet being ready, still gripping the safety rails instead of the driving wheel-

(nah i'm kidding- like, was it just artists drawing similar poses in one scene? oh yeah most definitively! will that stop me from over-analysing? nope! :D this basically wrote itself!)

I was playing around with expressions and OMG, I think I unlocked something???

It was mostly from yesterday’s post, I liked the way I drew Pizza Head so I decided to try drawing him again (since it’s been a while) AND GOD I LOVE THESE‼️‼️‼️ Seriously started out rough but then I just kind rolled with it! I like it! I like it a lot‼️ 😆😆

Also since I drew Brick yesterday as well, I decided to change the way I draw him, just a bit 🤏

Today was so fun AAAHHH!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞

#Pizza Tower #Looking at these so proud 😌😌#I was on the coach for what- 3 hours? It was worth it- 💀#I think the way I’ll draw Brick for now on is what he looks like in game but the legs look just a TINY bit like baggy pants #Like have you ever seen animated animals have those legs that look baggy and the feet underneath #I’ve seen it somewhere I know I have but I don’t have a good example…Still I tried to make it look sorta like that-#And I like it! I think he’s looks adorable!! 😄😄💕💕#For Pizza Head I wanted to give more life in his expressions and poses #I think I did it well enough before hand but I want to express MORE of it #Like the better parts of it- Him looking smug him looking angry him looking annoyed etc #I like the one I colored and the one where he’s singing to himself- THAT one I had fun with he looks great 😂#I also like the one where he’s doing a raspberry #I did that one without a sketch!!#I’m basically trying to focus more on the expressions I think. I made it past the 6.2 trial tonight with the help of one of my other friends very kindly queueing for it with me, and the game presented a decent opportunity for a bit of an angst moment.. so I took it!

(To anyone who may be concerned: don't worry, Zero will be okay soon! It's just the immediate aftermath of the 6.2 trial that leads to this situation, but she recovers. That isn't going to stop Lorenza worrying about her, though - a rare instance of actually seeing her so concerned about someone or something.)

HI HUNTER !!! sooo glad u enjoy my art i am honored . . . . for the aggie sketch i . i honestly just picked up this reference pic from pinterest xD literally spent an hour before the aggie planning that sketch out, searching for other pieces that had a sorta soft and sweet vibe and leaving those open alongside the ref so i can "Absorb it into my brain"

for tips regarding poses and expressions... IM JUST REALLY PICKY WHEN PICKING OUT REFERENCES TBH 😭😭 Like i wont stop searching until it fits the mental image i have and until it has the feelings im trying to convey in the piece . i also frequently use statues as inspiration too ig . went ham with explaining my thought process in the tags btw i got shyyy ^_^

actually glad the ytz entity fig is kinda meh cause if he looked better id be sad about not having enough moola to get him rn but i dont rly like how they modeled his smile and it was a weird choice to make his elbows... above his elbows? like the bend is above the actual joint?? if they treated it like noodle arms maybe but its such a sharp bend. and the lack of some markings too.. could have been painted on or something, its not like they cant do such thing, i know its meant to be a simplified design but the varying line thickness on the forehead bugs me... why add those two small thin lines like that but remove the other thin lines or change them to one thick line its just weird design choices overall

#i mean its not Bad its just meh #like i do like they gave him the front teeth but the whole shape of his mouth gives off a nervous expression #i also wonder how his eyes would have looked like if they made them white with the ^^ pupils in black #but i like the contrast like this #but i really wish they just painted the lines also on the back of his head etc instead of making them 3d #and my guy has no legs but they went further and removed his ass 💔 truly heartbreaking.#he got cubed #i do find that cool though but a fullbody pose with the cubes only at the base of his tail thing would be cooler #the black nose is also odd but cute? like i dont Hate it but its not accurate at all #thoughts are being thunk

digital art is so fun until i look up a tutorial and they're like: "multiply" "lock your layer" "blend brush" "fill layer" "clip" "set to normal"

#i don't. know anything abt the actual program i'm using. my process is literally.#1. set my brush to 3px size #2. sketch out the pose #3. on the same layer (usually. sometimes a new over it) start adding clothes and character details like facial expression hair etc #4. colour block in a layer underneath by colouring in all the edges of the lines and then using the fill tool to fill the big space #5. on a layer over everything. add extra lines in contrasting colours to make details and shapes stand out better on clothes n stuff #6. (new step!) using a lighter and a darker colour on a low opacity. try to put some consistent lights and shadows on everything.#(this is on a layer between the colours and the lines)#7. (new step 2!) take your new big wide sketchy brush and block out a vague background #i'm trying to learn how to do lights and shadows but i'm not. like comprehending. hrg.#also i want to fuck with perspective more but i don't know how to make that work either lol #look art was so easy when all i was doing was realistic graphite portraits. i just look at the picture of a face i was meant to draw.#then draw it #i got access to as many colours i want but at what cost-

#sorry to ramble about it but i just #i need y'all to understand how much work went into those ''simple'' posters #so much bugfixing and posing and adjusting the lights and repositioning and #editing the expressions and unfreezing and refreezing time bc someone's eyes weren't looking where i wanted #and then adding text. and then adjusting the text. and then colour picking from the classic fallout UI's #and matching them to the characters i think the colour suits best (classic green for Hector. rusty red for Rebecca. etc.)#like I worked Hard on these i hope everyone appreciates them #plus idk I'm super happy and proud of how it all turned out #maybe it sounds dumb but my Fallout OCs literally feel like real people to me and I hope that shines through in my posters #i hope the effort was worth it bc i am exhausted after powering through it #ruby rambles
