i lowkey blame stan twitter and specifically swiftie twt- ever since the taylor incident (which was two whole years ago) they have had him under a microscope and have been dissecting everything he does- its really sad because now he’s like a shell of himself. Its a shame really but then again i guess its not fully on us to dissect this and maybe it’s a bit parasocial but i do mourn matty pre taylor (the problemattic will always be missed in my heart) i do also miss when he was really really progressive- especially noacf era

2023 wasn’t a good year for Matty. Yes, the thing with the swift*es and mayl*rs was something else…but also the podcast cancellation and all that. That’s why I come and go with being sad about him being so silent. I’ve said it before he’s only human and i can’t imagine having people telling me to k*ll myself or stuff like that. I do understand he’s more private in general but I do miss a past version of him…

the couch and table has matty smoking and chained to the couch as a reference to the consumption bit and could be reference to the idea that he is stuck in a position of his own doing, hann is a wizard i presume as a hobbit reference? and then the dubai and malaysia flags as he got banned,oxygen tank from consumption, cross due to the religious signposting on his ig story and a juxtaposition to his atheism, thesaurus for those big words, infinite jest as its referenced in sincerity is scary, wine, cigarettes, xanax as a reference to 'Xanax and a newport' in part of the band, i live cum mug from the problemattic, american flag as a lot of their music is informed by Americana especially on notes(? maybe also just because america)
