New Fic Idea
Got a new fic idea last night that won't leave me alone.
Basically, what if Andrew switched his goal from 'steal the journal of Herz Der Sonne', to kidnaps the Captain's seemingly naive daughter who he's been exchanging letters with so he plans an ambush.
Tumblr media
I feel like if the Stabbingtons could think to use her as a bargaining chip, the Separatists could to.
Cass realising she practically tended this trap for herself by making herself into a target.
Captain trying to balance his duties as Captain and as a father once Andrew's demands do arrive.
Rapunzel arguing with Frederic because 'the good of the kingdom' and 'what about Cass?'
Eugene putting that 'no guy messes with Cass but me' from the episode to the test as he gets into an even more dangerous rescue.
I have a lot of ideas whirling around my brain right now XD
(ignore the bad art, just wanted to put this idea to paper while I let the story simmer in my mind)

Hi ^^, happy pride month. How are you ? For pride month, do you have any LGBT hc for tangled the series characters?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I sure do! My LGBTQ+ headcanons are:
Rapunzel is demisexual biromantic.
Eugene and Lance are both bi (but both prefer women). They experimented with being in a relationship with each other, briefly, but agree that they aren't each other's type.
Varian is bi with no preference.
Cassandra is bisexual, preferring women, but is also aro.
Adira is aro/ace.
Willow is aro, but not ace.
Trevor is bi and prefers men, so much so that Arianna is like, the one woman he's genuinely attracted to, and he leans in hard for appearances.
The Separatists of Saporia are in a polycule.
Lady Caine is also bi with no preference.

Sure, Varian is a great victim for abuse and maltreatment
He can be hurt, taken advantage off or get physically or psychologically tortured at the hands of King Frederic, Quirin or the Saporians
Sure, why not
But Varian snapping?
Varian deciding "fuck it" and lashing out against his tormentors, putting them in their place, giving them a taste of their own medicine and showing them what kind of beast they have messed with
That's a prime source of serotonine! That's what's giving me live!
Varian putting the fear of god into assholes with delusions of power and control is one of my biggest pleasures!
Ruthless Varian taking revenge is best boy!

Hi blorbos, today I've got a well cooked meal as a form of a alternative universe of the Saporian Varian but he isn't actually friends or joined the Separatists of Saporia. Rather he brought Nuru, Yong and Hugo as his separatists of Saporia and Hugo erased those people's memories by Varian's alchemy balls that once viewed him as a bad guy, Nuru and Yong aided them. No Saporian changed their plan where Varian joined Rapunzel, he stick with 7k Saporian friends.
I mean, as we all know that after about a year later though, Varian finally realize he was only thinking of himself and did not understand Rapunzel and the blizzard situation even if he did free his father he still would been arrested and if Quirin came out during the situation he would have been shocked how destructive Varian was and that his own son was willing to commit murder, showed some remorse and shame for his past deeds and thought that he could never be forgiven, which was why he teamed up with Andrew and the Separatists of Saporia to erase everyone's memories so that he could have a fresh start and be friends with Rapunzel again, but that meant to overthrow the kingdom and messing with King Frederick and Queen Arianna's minds. However, by Rapunzel's compassion and the Separatists' change of plan, Varian turned over a new leaf and helped the princess and her friends save Corona. His rekindled friendship with Rapunzel soon gave him back his dad and the forgiveness of Corona. But this AU, Varian didn't do that and actually agree with the plan.

Some Andrew, some Separatists of Saporia and some Cassandra
Tumblr media
Please ignore their faces, the shading, their hands and just...... every other mistake in this piece (I trusted the process, sometimes the process isn't trustworthy). But do absorb the vibes of this piece.

Dark Kingdom Rising
Here is the next chapter! The infamous chapter that I had posted about previously because this chapter took me literally MONTHS to finish up. It was the combat portion, but it got done nonetheless!
Enjoy!
Warnings: combat, fighting, swearing, discussions of past abuse and trauma

Currently working on my Saporia lore for Celestial Garments, and oh god is this fun.
Are ya'll ready for a giant loredump on the history of Saporia, later followed up by another post on the internal politics related to the merge as well as the former government system, then a post about all the other various cultural elements that still exist up to the start of the series?
Get hyped mfs, because I'm gonna give this fandom so much stuff to work with.

the corona vs saporia thing. i literally can't even remember all of it except for the day of hearts episode and rapunzel's return but i can't get over how few people are mentioning how obviously skewed the story is the day of hearts episode opens with big nose telling a sanitized fairytale version of the war. i'm just gonna copy down what it says "centuries ago, corona was engaged in a years long war against its rival kingdom, saporia. corona's then king, herz der sonne, created a complex system of tunnels to move his knights and supplies wherever he needed. he then made a detailed map of these tunnels and their secrets in a secure journal. "at the height of the war, der sonne's sworn enemy, general shampanier, launched a full scale invasion on corona. shampanier fought her way through the castle to face king herz der sonne himself. their battle waged for hours with neither side relenting. that is, until shampanier discovered that the book's final pages herz's profession of love for her. it was then she realized she held similar feelings for him as well. and soon, the two were married, and a lasting peace was brought to the newly united nations forevermore."
the war is described as being a few centuries old. for a supposedly united kingdom, you only hear stories about corona, about corona's history, never saporia. there's only one character in the show who i remember knowing anything about saporia's actual language (feldspar saying he knew saporian because any cobbler worth their stuff would know about that) and culture aside from the separatists and by extension, varian. saporia is barely mentioned, the separatists are. and all they are to corona is a gang of terrorists (they are, but. nuance) i don't doubt the part about der sonne professing love in the back of the book, too much because. unless they forged it all, the book is open to the public once a year. but fighting for hours just for it to end in "oh well they (note: shampanier) suddenly realized they loved each other and they got married and the kingdoms united yayyy" sounds. so wrong. it's a complete fairytale of a story. to me it sounds more like a truce to end the war, and one that saporia never got a fair deal out of. the winning side tells the story and corona clearly did. the kingdoms are united only in words, what it looks more like is that saporia got assimilated into corona to survive (where even is the kingdom? is it actually sharing corona's land space? if there's actually a map somewhere that shows it i'd love to know)
plus, note that it's never said why the war even started. it's just. there was a war. we united under completely fair circumstances (definitely) which is suspicious as fuck, almost like they don't want the people knowing why the war started in the first place, and is trying to desperately snuff if out (the war wasn't even that long ago. a few centuries is not a lot when you think about it in terms of where this series takes place, somewhere in europe. a few hundred years is forever ago to americans but barely anything to the rest of the world. (americans wrote the show, so it makes sense. also why "ancient" in this world is treated as a mere thousand years ago) usually even with propaganda, there's at least some crumbs of what went on and why everyone hates each other so much but there's barely even crumbs here it also makes me wonder about the separatists. surely it's not just the small gang we see in rapunzel's return. who are they rebuilding this kingdom for? just them? i think there's definitely more separatists, or at least saporians who are unhappy with the outcome of the war than corona would have people to believe
and then. like half the things the show makes fun of the separatists of is- like it's making fun of them because they're hippie wannabes and make comments about animal care? of course there's nuance there too but like geez. is there anything else. i'm like 80% sure most of the hate on the separatists is because some of the individual characters are meant to be annoying to the audience (and also because people get protective over varian) show me a world in which corona and saporia were completely united in a fair manner and where the story was true and i'll believe that the separatists are just senseless maniacs hellbent on revenge for no reason. we have little to no information on why they do what they do. sure half of them are pretty horrendous as people but is the point of the group even unjustified? a lot of people still feel the catharsis varian has during his breakdown at the end of season one, even though what he's doing is wrong, i think it can be the same with the separatists too with more information. i'm just curious as to what exactly is going on there because it's obvious we're not getting the full story, no matter what the full story is (just tell me what the war was about please. begging)
firmly believe even the worst actions have basis in something real, no matter how twisted it may be, i just want to know the thought process, whether they were justified or unjustified or not, i don't even care. what were these people's experiences, what made them so devoted to an almost dead memory of a kingdom that they're willing to kill anybody that betrays it. what happens when they're in the cell again once the one kid that actually turned the dreams of bringing saporia back to reality- when he leaves, what then. is varian turning back to team corona a true win for the kingdoms or is there something more to it. what is saporia's culture, why did the war start, how did it actually end, who are the separatists outside of being separatists, are the kingdoms united or did saporia get assimilated for some political reason i need to know

TELL ME EVERY TTS/VAT7K HEADCANON YOU HAVE
PLEASE NO I HAVE A FAMILY
why did i subject myself to this. i’m still gonna do it, though. (these aren’t fully dedicated to any one character, so y’all can still ask about them! just thinking of the overall shows)
-varian got down on one knee to propose to hugo. hugo laughed and said “ha, you’re even shorter now.” there was a moment of absolute silence before hugo realized what was going on. varian started to stand up. hugo frantically begged him to wait and start over.
-cassandra and eugene occasionally called off their rivalry for cass to teach eugene to play chess. cass had realized he didn’t know how (orphan, poor, thief) and said that a future king obviously had to learn. cue surprisingly cute, very gruff training.
-varian is terrified of maximus. maximus can smell the criminal on him. varian has had to hide in a tree from that horse several times.
-there was a point in hugo’s life, after vat7k, where it finally dawned on him that he was safe and happy. varian held him as he cried with too many emotions he couldn’t describe.
-hugo absolutely despises frederic and arianna. he performs elaborate, heist-like pranks on them for varian’s sake. they don’t know it’s him. they’re losing their minds.
-for a long time after his redemption, varian didn’t see anything wrong in his relationship with andrew. he just thought “well, he’s standing in for my dad.” and then he did consciously realize “he’s evil”, but he didn’t actually unpack everything that went on. i don’t think andrew did anything to him, but i think he was extremely creepy, and there’s still something so horrible about a man in a confined space with a boy who was 13 only a year ago.
-upon the separatists of saporia breaking out, andrew made sure to keep varian busy in the castle so he didn’t realize that the citizens of corona were enslaved.
-varian’s truth cookies made pete and stan confess their love.
-nuru is afraid of ruddiger at first (not a lot of wildlife in a meteor-ravaged kingdom). she finally gets over that fear just in time for varian to have to turn ruddiger into beast-ruddiger for some reason. nuru is even more emotionally scarred.
-“plus est en vous” goes differently in my mind. in my ideal reality. in my headcanon. i don’t know exactly what happened, but i do know varian, lance, and eugene play MUCH bigger roles.
-hugo is an emotional drunk. varian is a stupid drunk (while inebriated, he once invented a ship, which had already been invented at the time. ((by “ship”, i mean boat.))) rapunzel is also an emotional drunk. cass is the death-wish kind of drunk that would deliberately try to get run over by a carriage. eugene can keep an objective in mind when he drinks, like getting information out of somebody, but he will also get distracted by a really pretty swirl of wood on the table. lance is a philosophical drunk.
-the whole team, from both shows, hums their big songs to themselves when they’re bored. those things may spring out of their innermost psyches and display themselves in fits of passion, but damn if they aren’t catchy.
-angry once won an arm-wrestling match against lance. no one knows how it happened. lance swears she hypnotized him.
-eugene lets rapunzel paint on him, and she comes to him for fashion advice.
THAT’S ALL I CAN THINK OF RIGHT NOW AND THEY AREN’T EVEN CHARACTER-SPECIFIC SO OH BOY I GUESS I HAVE MORE

Y'know what? I'm gonna do all of Separatists of Saporia fankids, 'cause stoping only on Andrew and Clementine doesn't feel enough.
I mean - just look at their designs, they all so good and I want more of them, of Saporia. Everyone forgets about them, because they appeared only in two episodes.
