I’ve spoken on this before, but here’s something for those who loved The Stoat but not PO3

The Stoat was easy to love because we were both in the same boat. Their pokes and pricks at our playing felt charming because we shared an enemy in this and when the cards were down they were ready to bash that enemy. They were the first friend we had, and they promised us there was a way out for us both. And there was, and we found it.

And then we met PO3, The Stoat’s true self, and nothing changed 

It never really acknowledged our time spent together (beyond its angry confrontation with Leshy) and continued to mock our playing and act disinterested. Except this time it wasn’t in our corner.

Nothing about the great Transcendence was out of character, he didn’t betray us or lure us into liking him, we did that all ourselves. We saw past what we thought to be a prickly facade, only to then realize that it was never an act. And The Stoat was never our friend.

You can pretend that The Stoat is an ally and that there’s some sort of kinship behind it’s jabs, you can’t do that with PO3. 

I have a lot of love for PO3, but I understand why Daniel Mullins called him a villain.
