Concept:

Bella lives with Charlie primarily, big ol' dyke energy with her plaid shirts, her long hair, and her ability to skin an animal with only a small knife. She knows how to shoot a gun, but she also appreciates gun laws. She grew up in Forks with Charlie and saw Beau and Renee over the summer. She was friends with the Newton's and the Crowley's and the Mallory's and the Yorkies. She went to Synagogue with Jessica and Lauren, went to Mass with Mike, and played the new Sims4 with Eric when it came out. She is also the first outsider to befriend the Cullen's when they move to town. Bella isn't intimidated by anyone, but she does have a tiny gay heart attack whenever she sees Rosalie or Alice for too long. Emmett on the other hand is her platonic chaos partner and they constantly rag on Edward for being a sad emo boy. However, nothing will make Bella happier than having her twin come live with her their senior year.

Charlie didn't have to be alone. His children didn't hate him. Charlie is slow to show affection and doesn't know what to do when Beau comes out to him. He may even have reacted poorly, but he is from a small town and he doesn't understand what "transitioning" or the scary relality of "hormone treatments" and "name changes". He just knows a lot is happening and he doesn't see Beau ever so he doesn't know what to make of it all. It took him a little longer to catch up, but Bella knows Charlie loves Beau and Beau eventually comes around to forgiving Charlie when he tries hard to get Beau's pronouns and name correct.

Renee is still a harebrained, erratic person, but she really does care about her kids and wants what is best for them. Renee misses Bella, but can't fault her, she always hated the idea of leaving Charlie. So when the twins came to her with their decision to split up and each be with one of them. She knew they had thought it through and they knew the sacrifice they were making trying to keep their little family as together as it could be when your mother moves halfway across the country to get away from their father. She knew her children were wise beyond their years and she trusted their decision.

Beau lives primarily with Renee. (He and Bella kind of swap on and off during the summer so they get to see each other, as well as both their parents). Beau loves art and learns to cook to make sure Renee gets enough to eat when she goes into her ultra-creative-genius modes. Beau loves classic literature and old film-noir movies. It's where he found the name Beauregard when he decided to change his name. Bella and Beau bond over Jane Austen. Beau is nervous about leaving Renee and moving in with Charlie, but he knows she will be safe with Felicia and he knows his dad loves him.
