At the sound of clip-clopping hooves, the two brothers turned and beamed at their approaching friend.

“Sassy!” they shouted, and quite literally dropped everything they’d been doing to come and say “hi”. Saying hi being them tossing their arms around her for a hug like the boyishly excitable toons they were inside.

“Good teh see yeh Sassy!” Bonely said, beaming at his old friend while completely forgetting his fleshy makeover. He wasn’t a skeleton anymore, but a stout, black-haired pawnbroker with the same voice, smile, and fashion sense he had as a boneman.

“Yeah, how’ve yeh been?” Salem agreed, looking not much different except for having five fingers instead of four. “It’s been ages since we saw yeh last! Whatcha been up teh?”

          Yep. He’s messed up. That emotionless reply while flat in delivery, stung like a slap to the schnoz ( AND HE SHOULD KNOW. HE’S GOTTEN SMACKED THERE MORE TIMES THAN HE COULD COUNT ) . Shame brings his ears low and he looks down to the floor. A normally PRIDEFUL being, it’s uncomfortable for him to be so sullen and ... filled with ... was it guilt? It had to be. What else could this pit be in his stomach?

Duckman had known Tawna for quite a span of time and nothing ever striked him as off. She was beautiful. She was smart. She was kind. But most importantly, she was his. That’s where things got a little confusing for him. He still had trouble accepting the idea. It just seemed too surreal. A bombshell like her with a guy like him? Unbelievable!

The thought had plagued him for some time and he’d usually suppress it being that he loathed the idea of dwelling on how he didn’t deserve something that great in his life constantly. So, when another idea surfaced, one extremely stupid idea but rational enough in his mind to entertain, he couldn’t help but wonder now.

There was no way she was that perfect, afterall... right?

Of course, it was all making sense now... he was picking up on all the signs... how hadn’t he noticed this sooner? She was a werewolf! And this whole relationship was nothing but a ruse so he would end up her next unsuspecting victim! Like... like a siren. Except, a werewolf! He always did find it odd that she was the Big Bad Wolfs sister... and now it made sense! 

For the past few weeks, Duckman had been put on edge by this idea and had no doubt been acting strange around Tawna. He just hoped she hadn’t picked up on it. Maybe, if he was careful enough, he could test his theory.

“Oh, uh...hey, Tawna. Did ya... still wanna go out for dinner tonight? I was thinkin’ a restaurant that serves nothin’ but salad.”

Yes, because werewolves exclusively eat meat. She’d HAVE to turn this down if she was a werewolf.
