OK I'm gonna do a more detailed "common mistakes" post later when I have time but there's two things I've been seeing ALL over my dash that have got to stop.

(a) Cannot believe I need to be saying this but you MUST stop setting elves on fire. Listen I get this. Fire is fun for you! Fire is pretty and I like to play with it, too! But elves do not like fire. Fire can and WILL hurt them.

If you're going to fire for enrichment: You can give your elf plants or rocks to play with! They will like these. You can also let elves observe fire from a safe distance -- let them decide how they want to approach! They have good self-preservation instincts and will not usually not keep touching something that hurts them.

If you're going to fire for warmth: you can always put your elf in warm water (make sure not to cover their mouth/nose), give them a warm food/beverage, or wrap them in furs! They will look very cute wearing a little jacket AND it won't harm them. :)

(b) I know mermaids secrete salty fluids from their facial orifices when they're feeling happy, but elves are not mermaids. If an elf is wailing and secreting fluids they are NOT happy! This response indicates they're stressed out or in pain. Please re-think whatever you are doing around that elf. And stop posting videos that encourage that!

SO WORLD WAR ONE WAS BASICALLY STARTED BECAUSE SOMEONE SHOT THE ARCHDUKE OF AUSTRIA-HUNGARY. FRANZ FERDINAND, RIGHT? YEAH. SO THIS GROUP OF SERBIAN NATIONALISTS, THE BLACK HAND, WERE WAITING FOR THE ARCHDUKE WHILE HE WAS ON A TOUR WITH HIS WIFE, SOPHIE. SHE WAS PREGNANT, AND WAS HELLA HAPPY BECAUSE SINCE SHE NEVER GOT TO GO WITH HIM ON TOURS SINCE SHE WAS A CZECH ARISTOCRAT BY BIRTH. SHE WASN’T ALLOWED TO BE SEEN AT HIS SIDE, SINCE SHE WAS DENIED ROYAL TITLES IN AUSTRIA. NEITHER WERE ANY OF THEIR THREE KIDS. 

 THIS WAS AN ANNIVERSARY GIFT TO SOPHIE, SINCE THEY WERE IN BOSNIA, WHO AT THE TIME WAS A NEUTRAL GROUND OF SORTS, AND THEY WERE ON THIS TRIP IN SARAJEVO, BOSNIA. SO THE DUDES OF THE BLACK HAND KNEW THE ROUTE, AND THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO SECURITY AROUND THE ROYALS, SO THEY WENT FOR IT. THE FIRST GUY,  NEDJELKO CABRINOVIC THREW A BOMB AT THE CAR, IT MISSED, AND THE ARCHUDKE AND SOPHIE GOT DRIVEN AWAY. THE OTHER DUDES IN THE GROUP PANICKED, AND ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE (ONE GUY TOOK AN OLD CYANIDE CAPSULE AND JUMPED INTO A RIVER, AND FOUND OUT VERY QUICK THE RIVER WASN’T VERY DEEP. SO THAT WAS BOTCHED TOO. THEY WERE ARRESTED, AND THE CAR KEPT GOING AND TOOK A WRONG TURN. 

NOW ANOTHER BLACK HAND, GAVRILO PRINCIP, WAS STANDING THERE WHEN THE PROCESSION WENT BY, AND HAPPENED TO BE EATING A SANDWICH. HE SAW THIS CHANCE, AND SHOT THE ARCHDUKE AND SOPHIE AT CLOSE RANGE, AND TRIED TO KILL HIMSELF. HE GOT STOPPED, AND WAS MOBBED. 

NOW EVERYONE WAS UPSET (NATURALLY) AND BLAMED SERBIA FOR ALLOWING THE BS TO HAPPEN. SO AUSTRIA-HUNGARY DEMANDED SERBIA PAY FOR IT AND SERBIA WAS ALL 

“NAH FAM, THAT BS WASN’T OUR FAULT”

SO ONCE AUSTRIA-HUNGARY KNEW GERMANY WAS BEHIND THEM, THEY DECLARED WAR ON SERBIA. RUSSIA BACKED UP SERBIA AGAINST THE CENTRAL POWERS(GERMANY, AUSTRIA-HUNGARY) AND THEN  FRANCE JOINED IN. THEN BRITAIN JUMPED IN. THEN BELGUIM, ALL TO SUPPORT SERBIA.

AND BOOM: WORLD WAR ONE.

TLDR: WW1 WAS STARTED BECAUSE OF AN UNLUCKY ROYAL COUPLE AND SOME DUDE EATING A SANDWICH.
