This first image of the hawk moth and vial with a snake vertebrae in it is a necklace I bought recently and decided to wear today.
BOY HOWDY DO I HAVE A STORY TO TELL ABOUT IT
But first, a big SHOUT OUT to the artist, the lovely The Crow's Capture! I had been eyeing her work in a local witchy shop for a while but it wasn't until the Consignor Showcase (it's like a witch artist alley) that I bought something from his shop.
Don't know if you will ever see this but THANK YOU! Your work is amazing and I'm so happy to get the chance to meet you in person!
NOW, about that story! ...
Let me start off in saying that I had a traumatic event last night, thus, I was felling the need to make myself feel better in little happy ways. One way I did this was by putting on this necklace to really bring my witchy look together.
As I am sitting in a car looking at all the trees pass by, naming them in my head, I felt a familiar head tingle and slight ring in my left ear. I have learned in the past year that this is a tip-off of the divine and otherworldly. Then I feel a slight pressure on my head. I could tell this was psychic and not physical. Something was right there on my head! I wasn't really alarmed. More confused. It didn't make sense to have picked up anything. Yet, this didn't even feel malicious in nature.
Then it hit me.
The way the movement, the feeling against my skin and through my hair was something I have felt before. My mind flashes back to years ago of when I was looking after my sister's boa snakes. The way they feel on me. How the way the movement on my skin as they slither around to explore or find the best warm spot. There were times that happened to be in my hair.
I didn't feel like I was in any threat because I'm not.
The vial has a snake vertebrae bone in it.
DID A LITTLE SNAKE SPIRIT JUST BORROW INTO MY HAIR???
I pushed out a thought that "if this is a snake spirit, then they're more than welcome to nest in my hair."
I'm going to have to put this little guy [gender neutral] on Hecate's altar. They both would love that!
