Looking at him over her fork laden with eggs as they'd slid in to join her at her table, Ember was a little taken aback at not so much the forwardness, but the attempt at being suave. "I appreciate the confidence, but I apologize, you're not my type." She knew men like this, and she'd done her time around them. "You're gunna be a popular one, though. I can see it now."

While short, the time they spent together before the fall was the closest he'd ever gotten to wanting something permanent. Devan was the first man to ever challenge his secrecy - unknowingly of course - and JP freely courted him publicly. Well, almost. He made sure that their outings were far from known associate's eyes and ears, but not only did they share more than enough late nights for him to know Dev was amazing in bed, he also made an effort to spoil him (although usually it was he who was being sought after). He would take him to dinners and movies and walks through central park and trips to art museums and galleries and all that other romantic crap he always saw other couples do. JP thought about him all the time. Being with Devan has always made him feel very free to be himself. He had even been on the edge of asking Devan to make things official between them and not just some fling of one night stands when he left town. It honestly crushed him and led to a relapse in his sobriety, but his feelings for Dev never went away.

John-Paul is not a reader. It was hard enough for him graduate high school with a low-C average. He would have dropped out in eight grade if it hadn't been for Sada's urging and college was out of the question. The only time books were recreationally introduced to him was when his grandmother would read to him when he was little little and periodically when he would read to Charlie growing up - but those were children's books and quick and easy to get through. He has a slight dyslexia and having to read over the same sentence or paragraph more than a few times keeps him completely disinterested in reading. With Devan however things are different. He could lay his head in his lap for hours and listen to him read just about anything. And with Devan's extensive collection it wasn't hard to find something for him to entertain JP with. He's heard the Aeneid about a hundred times now, but he never tires of it. It quickly became one of his favorite stories just because Dev likes it so much. In fact, he managed to find a copy in Penrose's library and tried to read it, but it just wasn't the same and he returned it only a quarter of the way through.

JP still has the napkin Devan wrote his number down on when they first met. He also went back to the club every chance he got hoping to run back in to him. Now that he has his own place, or rather is now alone in #301, it is on the fridge. Along with the one and only photograph he has of them - a selfie he'd taken just before heading into the Met. He used to keep them both in a small shoebox full of other momentos from his life, tucked in the back of his shared closet with Jeremiah.

Once Devan goes to the Rose's his apartment, he will be the first man John-Paul has ever brought home. It only took him 36 years and his siblings moving out to take that step. But take it he will for Devan.

The moment Sada and Jeremiah and their gang left, tensions seemed to ease off in the atrium, if anything at least alleviating the immediate threats of death. Devan had immediately kept his eyes on the entire group here and specifically on Ashton more so than the rest. He was basically out on supervised bail and even he knew the imminent end for himself. Sada wouldn't pass of the opportunity, well, she even picked out a cell for him already.

Ashton continued help in the area, the reality starting to set in as he completely numbed himself earlier from the shock of who's dead. Mr Wexley, Lane.. Ashton numbed himself with the shock again, not wanting to break down from it all. They worked in silence until everyone was instructed to head back to their apartments for a lockdown. Ashton just wasn't sure if he'd be allowed to go to his. Sada's words might have sounded like mercy but none of the actions speaks it as so. They were pretty much the last ones left, Ashton rigidly standing there as if waiting for a begrudging order. He met Devan's gaze, cold and unemotional to steel himself from whatever they have planned. "..do I at least get to go back to my apartment before you lock me away?" Ash asked the other without much hope, as much as he wanted to make full use of the additional time Jer squeezed in for him. Loose ends to tie, things to settle, things to hide before the regime took over and he no longer owned anything as his.

Who: Everyone When: April 11th

The building had been taken over by Sada and her people. @jeremiah-rose, @henrisolivier, @thedevilworksharder, and @survivalxofxthexfittest (JP) have been put in charge beneath her. Sada and Jeremiah have moved up into the penthouse and offered a room to Dev and JP as well. Charlie brought Roman, still comatose, with her to join them upstairs. To be closer to her brother and under the protection of his association.

Everyone besides the aforementioned, @valeriixchen, @dixieclary, @judahfisher, @ruthellry, @hannahxinterrupted (and the children), @rhianwells, and @wellsinvesting have been placed in a two day lock down while logistics are figured out. Sada and her people went from door to door demanding all their firearms. Even going so far as ransacking apartments if they don't get what they're looking for. (The apartments with the children are the only exception to ransacking while the children are present.) @lindsohalloran and @judahfisher are tasked with the cleaning up of and incinerating of the bodies of the dead while under the armed eye of @henrisolivier and Dev.

@pxtitxrosx and @rosiesdiner have been kept from lock down as well to serve the 'Lieutenants' and to deliver rations to everyone but @postapocalypsemalone, @viesanders and @ashton-ryder who are left to go hungry as punishment for their actions. Sada has taken control of the key to the W's alcohol, much of which has been moved to the penthouse and passed out amongst the loyalists. During the lock down, Henri is shot by Lis. She collects Maddie and the pair make a daring escape from the building. @emberwexley hasn't left her suite and refused to attend the first rations. After a private meeting with Sada she was allowed to remain in her apartment, which she still refuses to leave. No one knows where @ashton-ryder is being held, besides the 'Lieutenants' who are aware he's being kept drugged in Sada's emptied out spare penthouse bedroom. Upon the first rations after being released, which everyone is forced to attend, Sada makes her announcement of the new rules.

The door knobs to all apartments will he turned around and all keys are to be forfeited. Everyone not aligned with Sada will be moved to the third floor and literally locked down at 8pm.

Meals will go from thrice a day to twice to save rations. There will no longer be a lunch ration for anyone but the children (Sada's loyalists of course get real meals and food whenever they like), while the rest are given porridge/freezer burnt food/whatever the lieutenants don't want. (Snacks/sweets/etc are off limits to anyone but loyalists and the children.)

The hoard, led away by left over fireworks (hoarded by Sada) shot off from the roof, have made the building able to be left, but the streets within a several blocks radius are still heavily packed with chompers.

Runs will now be mandatory for all fit and able residents, the focus on getting other cases (and anything else of value) from the other buildings by any means necessary. Their lives/the lives of their loved ones depends on it. These runs will be supervised by Sada loyalists, who will be the only ones armed. Defectors will be shot and risk the same for the loved ones they leave behind.

Those not fit enough to go on runs will be put to work.

@beauclary and partner @ziggyturner, are put on roof duty. Cleaning it up and working the garden will be their responsibility. @aggieturner is left to her own devices more or less forgotten, and/or seen as harmless under Sada's eye, as well as protected by Jeremiah's favour. She is treated much the same as the children.

@sarahshercohen had been told she will now be focused on entertainment. Sada, a surprising fan of the artists work, has instructed them to write and perform music for her while she's in the public spaces. Otherwise they are on cleaning duty as well.

Every single resident is to give a fresh blood sample to @valeriixchen bi-weekly.

Anyone who tries to confront, disobey, or accost a lieutenant or Sada risks being shot on the spot.

"I haven't seen JP this happy in a long time... maybe ever? That makes him alright in my book, but if he hurts him... I won't stop Jeremiah from killing him. I mean, I think he doesn't think we don't know or don't see... but we do. And we'd never judge him for it. I think all that Jeremiah and I want is for JP to finally be happy and learn to love himself as we love him. If this guy can do that for him, great.

"Have you guys seen what is going on between Roman, Charlie, and Mal? Now that would be such a hot throuple, but do we REALLY think that Charlie of all people could handle being the meal in that sandwich? I don't know about that. Also.... Roman's ex wife is kind of like a nympho or something, but like her taste in men in impeccable in that regard. I mean Roman was kind of a loser, but we don't know what he was like when they first met. Speaking of Roman, I'm taking bets on how badly her brothers are going to kill him when they find out he knocked up their baby sister. Also, do we think that Dev and Sher had a thing? I honestly think Sher might, at the very least, have like had feelings or whatever. Their reunion was so dramatic. I loved it."
