JESUS TOOK 7 LOAVES AND 2 FISH Jesus takes the disciples' seven loaves of bread and a few fish (📖Matthew 15:32–35) and gives thanks to His Father for the food. It was a common practice to thank God for providing, and Jesus repeats it here. He knows this small amount of food will be plenty to feed the thousands of people gathered around because of God's power to multiply what is there. As with the prior miraculous feeding (📖 Matthew 14:13–21), the disciples find themselves receiving from Christ a seemingly endless supply. Once again, they find themselves serving the people with the bread provided to them by Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God. Again, the disciples find they have every reason to trust God's power to provide what is needed when they need it. The law and word of the Lord is perfect. There is nothing stated in the Bible that isn't honest truth. From it, we can glean knowledge. From it, we gain wisdom. By soaking ourselves in the word of the Almighty, our simple minds can learn to comprehend the greatness of the God we serve. But we must be careful. We must be careful to read the Bible with discernment and in its correct context. The curse of sin has caused our minds to be clouded by faulty judgment. All too often, when we read the Scriptures, we are tempted to read the words in the wrong way. We are tempted to read the Scriptures with our focus on what the Bible has to say to us personally. We judge the Scripture and try to interpret its meaning according to our own emotions and feelings. Let me tell you something right now! That is the WRONG way to read the Bible!!! We are not meant to read the Bible and distort the context into what we feel can be applied to our own situations in life. While, yes, we can use verses in application to our lives, we must let God direct us. We can't just pick a random verse and apply it without proper meaning, we must be sure that God, through the Holy Spirit is using that verse to use in our situations. We must let God do the directing in our lives. His plans for us are good and perfect and when we try to direct our own steps, you can bet that the only thing that will greet us at the end of the path is failure. Let God take direction and don't try to think that you can do everything on your own because you can't. Thanks to @aclancaster for the idea of putting together an outline for my book before writing it. Going back through my life and trying to piece together all the events in the correct order is even more difficult than I thought it would be. The book itself will be a work of fiction, but it is definitely based on my life. God has worked many miracles on my behalf and I can hardly wait to share. This may take a while to write and I know it's going to be a painful process, but my hope is that it blesses others and leads many to Christ. Wow. Glory to God! 🙌🏾 📖 Romans 11:33–36 is Paul's poetic, hymn-like praise of God and His amazing wisdom. He quotes Old Testament texts such as Isaiah and Job. The prior passage explained how God's intent for Israel came with some level of mystery. As limited, created people, we will never be able to fully grasp the mind of God.
