Young lady Amiru closed the door with shaky hands. She then looked at the closed door before slowly removing her hand from the doorknob. She was frowning at that moment.

She wiped the corners of her eyes with her hands. Cale’s words echoed in her mind.

“…How could someone be…”

She could see that the communication mages had the same expressions on their faces. The three observed each other’s emotional expressions for a minute before starting to walk with determined expressions.

‘Our Commander is always worried about our health. Our commander does not want fame nor power.

He cares more about our every meal more than things like that.’

I am in school to become a special education teacher and I like to ask former SPED students their advice because they would know best what I need to do. It’s the most important perspective to get. What is your advice to someone who wants to be a special education teacher?

Honestly I think special education facilities as a whole are counterproductive since they don’t allow autistic children to grow up in an environment that’s equal to the outside world, as well as removing autistic children from the lives of normal kids, so they never come to know any autistic people as they grow. We grew up almost entirely isolated from normal kids and it mostly led to infighting and seeing ourselves as lesser. I’ve always thought a normal school where all teachers have some degree of special education training would be far better.

Sorry I don’t have anything more practical to offer, I’m not an educator.

THIS ugly bastard is skekNat the Scavenger.

They have been in charge of many things over the years thanks to their inability to care about anything but what they want to do. Originally the Scaveger wandered Thra searching for treasures and trophies to bring back to the emperor, however they also spent a lot of their time trailing behind the Hunter and picking up the scraps he left behind. They’ve got a bit of a history but I’m not going to go into that now. What I will say is that things got a little heated, The Hunter almost killed The Scavenger and as a result skekNat ran back to the castle with their tail between their legs. 

The emperor decided to put skekNat to work, no freeloaders around these parts and put the Scavenger in charge of making sure there was plenty to eat in the castle and to make sure the skeksis had materials to do what they needed. Building supplies, fancy ruffles, metals, you name it. SkekNat was able to do their assigned job for a little bit but it soon became very clear that it wasn’t going to work out. SkekNat kept getting distracted by special activities that they wanted to participate in rather than the boring duties of making sure there was soda in the fridge. They found it was much more fun to help find parts to help make a very special present for Aughra, or to help skekTek find ingredient to do science. The emperor was not happy about this at all but a solution needed to found, thus the tithing ceremony was created and leeching supplies off the gelflings began. 

There was also a very short period of time where the Scavenger went along with the Collector and the Scroll-keeper to the tithing ceremonies but due to…skekNat’s complete disinterest in the feelings of gelflings even when they are pretending to like them…ended with a couple of possible bumps in the road the skeksis didn’t want to risk hitting so after a couple of years skekNat was taken of tithe duty. It was at this point the emperor decided enough was enough and reeled in skekNat’s leash. 

Nowadays they are no more than a glorified coffee boy. Whenever anybody needs any kind of specialty item they usually turn to the Scavenger to go out into Thra and find it for them. The trick is to GET them to listen, agree, and then remember what it is. Typically the only skeksis that can actually get successful results from skekNat are the Chamberlain, the Emperor and the Scientist.

As far as personality goes, skekNat suffers from bouts of intense stir crazyness from long periods of time where they have to stay in the castle. They act very much like a complete dumbass but there is a clever brain in there that’s always scheming. They are incredibly selfish and hoard treasures the emperor doesn’t deem fit for HIS royal collection. OH AND OF COURSE this one is very important, they have very much gone a little loopy over the years and as a result mostly bring home garbage instead of real treasures. Could be because they collected all the real treasures long ago or maybe it’s because they’re a dang idiot. Nobody really knows and even fewer care. The other skeksis find them to be incredibly exhausting, even the ones that don’t completely despise the Scavenger. And they feel just about the same. They are incredibly loyal to the Emperor and are always striving for his approval…but they are also loyal to whoever appreciates their loyalty the most…

Long story short, skekNat the Scavenger is a selfish bastard who smells bad, hardly bathes, runs around outside a lot and tracks dirt and garbage into the castle. They are also…weirdly interested in bones…

Lost light plays dungeons and dragons. Who would dm and what would each of the players characters be like? I think rung would be the cool dm. Magnus would try but be too strict, so he plays a lawful good paladin or something. Also megatron is totally a bard and whirl would choose to be one purely to use vicious mockery
