-Lucinda is engaged to the oldest prince in a family of nine where there are 8 brothers and then the youngest is the only girl. She adores her future husband. -Ink Blot is a really dumb mage who acts as a street performer using fake magic despite being an actual mage. He just wants to be the center of attention. -Ruby and Luce are from the same plot (thank you RNG I love the dream wardens). They're part of different pairs and basically just patrol to keep dreams in check. Ruby and Luce also don't really meet each other in canon. Their routes don't overlap but they both interact with the main duo which is Colette and Marcus. (Ruby wants to beat Marcus up while Luce wants to kiss Marcus for what it matters.)

okay so first theres zayu. shes actually my dnd character and basically her whole story can be summarized in: shes a demon too good and pure for this world. she is such a lovely person an absolute sweetheart who is always very kind and whose mission in life is just having a humble life trying to help others in need as much as she can. but yeah you read it right. she Is a demon so the people from her homeplace didnt like her personality at all and they ended up kicking her out from hell. however some people thought that was a weak punishment and are now after her to make her pay for her "crimes" (the crime in question being a too good person yeah) so zayu is now travelling around around the world enjoying her life as she had never been able to do before and always moving from place to place to avoid the other demons that are chasing her. also this isnt really relevant to her story but i have to say she is very ourple (light purple skin and dark purple hair 💜)

the other characters i mentioned on that post are from an original story i began writing quite a few years ago and that i never finished..... i havent touched it in soooo long but its the only one og story ive started that i really want to finish some day. it takes place in a medieval royalty fantasy setting where theres a continent with many kingdoms. the main characters are from two of these kingdoms which have quite a close relationship

one of the kingdoms has 3 princes: auron (oldest), crysta (middle) and davel (youngest). given their birth order, auron is the heir of the kingdom so was taught mainly politics and necessary knowledge to rule the kingdom as the next king. crysta was raised to be a leader in the army forces so she is now the captain of the royal knights. and davel being the third child and since his siblings already learnt the main disciplines he was taught how to use magic, which is an ancient power that is quickly disappearing nowadays so there arent many people who can cast magic in this universe

on the other kingdom we have a pair of twins: alrick and lavianna (also shortened as lav or lavi) as the prince and princess. alrick was born first so he has always spent most of his time studying and preparing to be the next king while lavianna has had an easier and less busy life in this aspect

as i said both kingdoms have a very close relationship so both families meet up a lot. davel and lav have been best friends since their early childhood and being both the youngest from their families they had a lot of time to play and spend together. both are easygoing and they have the same age and kinda similar personalities (davel is charismatic and adventurous but also lazy when it comes to his studies and lavi is cheerful active and innovative) so they get along very very well. so well that their parents got the wrong idea and used their good relationship to engage them together in an arranged marriage against their will wanting to strengthen even more the alliance between their kingdoms. none of them like each other romantically but even if theyre shocked at first they let things be bc they arrive to the conclusion they prefer to be married to their best friend than have their parents arrange another marriage with an stranger instead

however! there is someone who isnt quite happy with this announcement and thats alrick. he hasnt had as much time to spend with davel in his life as his sister and he is also much more reserved as a person than her but truth is he is jealous. jealous of davel for all the freedom he has (contrary to him who has many responsibilities) and jealous of lavi for being able to spend so much time with davel and for being now engaged with him. bc alrick has a huge crush in davel but no one knows, not davel (who is very dense to these things (actually arospec coded)) nor lavianna (she is a bit suspicious but doesnt know anything for sure)

as for crysta she has a really close relationship with her brother davel and loves to tease him a lot but she isnt that much close with the others. she is a really cool butch lesbian knight who really worries a lot abt her people and has a soft spot for davel and will do anything to help him in any situation

auron isnt very relevant to the story but well. he is already married and just had a child too and is like the perfect prince son soon to be king

and now to end im gonna just to tell you a bit abt the plot. the thing is that one night alrick wakes up and discovers that everyone in his castle has been petrified. the castle workers his parents even lavianna. all of them except for him. so he does the only thing he can think of and rushes to the neightbour kingdom to ask for help. there, davel crysta and their family talk abt what happened and thought abt a way to reverse what seems to be a magical spell that has petrified the people in the castle and the three of them part on a journey to find more answers and a way to reverse the spell

explain the knight and prince au. i am invested.

Ok ok so

The au is basically that Eddy's a prince and Kevin is selected as his bodyguard/knight by his parents cause Eddy has somehow managed to reject all their other choices, and they figure if they get someone about Eddy's age then he'll get along with them, and they like Kevin so he seems like a good fit

Unfortunately Eddy's parents pick his type, and Eddy starts like trying to be rude and too demanding of Kevin to make him leave cause he has a crush on him, and doesn't want to risk Kevin finding out because he's with him all the time

Eddy is just gjfdjt no I cant pretend to be straight he's literally my bodyguard, I will fail, he needs to leave

But Kevin is stubborn, and refuses to leave cause Eddy's parents trusted him with Eddy, and this is a once in a lifetime offer, so he tries to ignore all of Eddy's grumbling but they end up bonding eventually, and there are shenanigans

Sometimes Eddy pretends to not feel well so Kevin will hold him and carry him up to his room

And Every time it sends Kevin into a gay crisis because Eddy would be just far too comfortable practically clinging to him and this, this doesn't make sense right??

This is the third time this week he was fine 5 minutes ago, is he doing this on purpose?? No, no Kevin's just being stupid, why would Eddy fake it, he's just-

Zexal Month: Week Three, Day 4: AU Day

Okay I saw someone posting about there ATLA AU  for @zexalmonth SO *cracks fingers* here’s mine!

The Avatar: Yuma! Youngest of 6 children and 4th son of Kazuma and Mirai Tsukumo. He was declared the Avatar at the age of 12. Lives on Kyoshi Island. His parents disappeared after an ambush by the Fire nation that left his oldest brother blind. His siblings train him in earthbending and material arts. After being announced the Avatar they leave the island to find teachers for him. He learns metalbening, lightningbending and seismic sense.

The past Avatar: Astral. Born and raised in the Norhtern Watertribe. He was announced the Avatar at the age of 14 when the Fire Nation started the war. Overwhelmed and scared he left the Northern Watertribe to get to the other nations to his friends, only to end up in a storm and the Avatar state trapping him in an iceberg. About 90 years later the Fire Nation army find him and kill him on sight. He has not much guidance and advices for Yuma but supports him as much as he can and helps him connect with the Avataras before them.  

Eartbenders:

Fourth: Oldest child and first daughter of Kazuma and Miari Tukumo, leader of the Kyoshi warriors at the age of 19. She is very protective over her siblings and a very patience teacher. Has a natural talent for earthbending and easily learned seismic sense and metal bending when Third taught them.

Third: Second child and first son of Kazuma and Mirai Tsukumo. Eartbending master at the age of 18 and teaches earthbending to the kids on Kyoshi island. He’s very calm and strategic. During an ambush by the Fire Nation, one soldier injured his eyes, leaving him blind. Struggled with it until he discovered seismic sense and learned how to ‘see’ again. Taught it to all the earthbenders on the island. During their jouney he was captured by Fire Nation and trapped in a metal cage. Discovered metal bending and caused havoc on the entire Fire Nation camp on his own.  

Second: Third child and second daughter of Kazuma and Mirai Tsukumo. Fourths second in command and a free spirited 16-year-old with a serious side. She was the one who heard about the group of benders that could teach Yuma the other three elements. She too knows seismic sense and metal bending, but had a harder time learning than her sister. In love with Vector but denies it.

Girag: A thickheaded 16-year-old with a soft spot for his pet tanuki Ponta. He can be a bit dumb sometimes but in a very sweet way. After accusing a fire bender teen for stealing Ponta, the two got into a fight only to realize it was a huge misunderstanding. They became friends and after Girag showed his new friend, Alito, how horrible the Fire Nation treats the Earth Kingdom and its people, the two set out to make a difference. Only to get in a lot of trouble and being rescued by a traveling air nomad and his two water tribe companions. Once their little group of 7 was completed, the Avatar and his siblings found them and he too learned from Third and is able to meatal bend. Seismic sense not so much.  

Eliphas: Earth Kingdom King. Never left Ba Sing Se. There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

Airbender:

Durbe: A 16-year-old Air bending Master traveling the world with his trusted sky bison Mach. Raised in the southern Air Temple. During his travels he came across two stranded water benders and offered them a ride to the Earth Kingdom, where he was going anyways. The three formed a strong friendship and they ended up rescuing Alito and Girag from a group of Fire Nation soldiers. He becomes Yumas Air bending teacher and is very patience with him, since earth and Air are opposite elements.

Waterbender:

Nash and Merag: 15-year-old Twins and last water benders from the Southern Watertribe. They weren’t very skilled as they had no one to teach them. Their people send them away in hopes to save them when the Raiders came to wipe out the last Waterbenders at the South Pole. Both escaped on a small boat but ended up stranded, luckily Durbe found them and took them with him on Mach. The three became friends and the twins later learned waterbending together with Yuma under the harsh training of Vector. Merag becomes a skilled healer

Vector: Became a Waterbending master at the mere age of 13, a prodigy and very skilled bender. Intrigued by the ‘good’ and ‘evil’ use of every element and knows that any bending can be both. Discovered bloodbending and mastered it at the age of 16, once it was found out he was banished from the tribe. On his way to the Earth Kingdom he found Mizael almost drowning in a storm. He rescued him and the two somehow became friends. A small group of waterbenders, an air nomad, a fire bender and an earthbender find them and they (somehow) become a group. First, he was against teaching the twins but after seeing how pathetic their bending was, he put them through hard training, later teaches the Avatar as well. Has the biggest crush on Second and fears Fourth.  

Firebender:

Mizael: 17 years old. Crown prince and heir to the Throne of the Fire Nation. If he wasn’t banished by his father and marked as a traitor to the Nation. He wants peace and bring back balance to the world, spoke out to his father during a war meeting. He was given nothing but a small boat that ended up breaking during a storm. He would have drowned if Vector hadn’t found him. Both share a deep connection, despite Vector never admitting it. They understand each other and Vector promised to never use bloodbending on him. (He did once. To save Mizaels life). Mizael later teaches Alito and Yuma fire- and lightningbending. Even going so far to simulate an actual Agni kai with them. He knows that it has to be Yuma to defeat the Fire Lord to bring peace to the world and he is prepared to become the next Fire Lord to keep that peace. Even if it means fighting his younger brother in an Agni Kai.

Alito: a young 14-year-old Fire Bender born in an Earth Kingdom colony. He finds Ponta, the tanuki, and gets into a fight when Girag thought he stole him. Alito realizes how awful the Fire Nation truly is and together they cause trouble for the Fire Soldiers, only to be saved by Durbe, Nash and Merag. He learns from Mizael and is able to lightning bend. He and Yuma become good friends.  

Mist: 14 years old and Mizaels younger brother. A prodigy and creates blue flames. He was very happy when is brother got banished, since it made him the next heir to the throne. He wants nothing more than become the Fire Lord, driven by serve childhood trauma and to prove himself to his father. After the new Avatar was found, his father sends him out to capture and kill the Avatar. He takes his two “friends” with him. Kaito and Luna.

Don Thousand: Fire Lord and a power-hungry tyrant. Banished his oldest son, severely emotionally damaged his second son and no one know where his wife(E’Rah) is and rumors exist that he killed her. Is defeated by Yuma.

Non Benders:

First and Dark: Twins and fourth and fifth sons of Kazuma and Mirai Tsukumo. 13 years old, First is the oldest. They too become Kyoshi warriors and are very skilled fighters. Both learned how to Chi-Block and learn material arts based on the bending forms. Dark gets along with Vector pretty well, much to Fourths horror.  

Kaito: 17 years old and childhood friends of Mizael and Mist. A very skilled fighter and uses knifes. He and Mizael have been in love for a long time. He’s devastated when Mizael was banished but after finding him again while hunting down the Avatar, Kaito and Luna betray Mist to help Mizael and his group to escape.  

Luna: 16 years old, a Chi-Blocker and circus artist. Enjoys the fights with First and Dark as it is an even match ever time. Betrays Mist for Kaito and Mizael. Childhood friend of the three.  

A bit story:

While the Tsukumo kids search for teacher, Seconds hears rumors about the group with every bender present. They soon find these rumors to be true and decide to find them, since it would be easier than trying to get to the other nations. They find him and Yuma gets his teachers.  

The invasion on the Fire Nation during the Day of the Black Sun fails.  

Yuma faces Don Thousand on the day of the Numeron Comet (Sozins Comet). Mizael and Vector fly to the Fire Nation on Mach for Mizael to challenge Mist to an Agni Kai for the crown. Nash, Merag, Durbe, Alito, Girag, First, Dark, Second, Third and Fourth take down the entire Fire Nation fleet, to ensure that Yuma can fight the Fire Lord uninterrupted and to stop the fleet from burning down the Earth Kingdom. With all 4 elements, with three metal benders, a lightning bender at his strongest through the comet and two Chi-Blockers, the fleet went down in a blaze.  

Nothing is completely set yet and I might change some aspects. But most characters are final. Tho the zexal siblings still need names...

Hey there~ it's me again. I read one of your sonamy future prompts ( featuring their children ) They all have wonderful names, but how did you come up with those names? As for me I always second guess myself when it comes to these things 😅

My sonamy fan children~

Journey (Youngest of 4, Power: Loud sonic boom cries.) was stolen (I literally saw someone’s art and saw the name and was like-)

That’s brilliant!!!

Her power though was original, and Sonic’s favorite thing about her is that she calls Amy “Chili-mama” Cause Sonic tried to get her first word to be Chilidog and Amy kept trying to teach her to say ‘mama’. The beautiful combination of that made her what she is, a bit of a silly but innocent baby. She gets kidnapped by Eggman when he remembers his life in a retirement home and smirks saying, “Bingo..” - “But Mr. Robotnik, you don’t have bingo.” - “Oh, trust me, my dear. I do~” and learns that Sonic has a family. But his metal-cyber brain takes over again and Sonic’s forced to remove it, leaving Eggman a old man with no memory but Sonic visits him as he nears the last stages of aging...

Journey has sonic boom cries based on the idea that her voice can travel passed the speed of sound, creating a ‘Hyper Voice’ effect. I also headcanon this makes her ideal for speaking super fast. She’s also magenta. (Again, following Genetic chart posts 1(x) 2(x))

But Speed, Freedom, and Rebel I made up entirely. Speed because all male hedgehogs in the Sonic universe starts with an ‘S’ so their video games would line up together on the game shelf. (True story from the officials) So I went with Speed thinking -from my genetics chart- At least one child may get super speed. 

Speed is born without Sonic present, who is still fighting Eggman and keeps his marriage to Amy secret. Speed grows up at first admiring Sonic but later resenting him, becoming a mama’s boy and training under Shadow. He has the potential to learn Chaos Control but can’t master it yet, because Shadow is immortal, he grows very close to Speed, as though like a master to student relationship but Speed wants it to be more. He tries to convince Shadow to woo his mother into leaving Sonic, but Sonic comes back just in time before Speed proposes the idea to Amy. Amy is faithful, obviously, and wants Speed to accept his father. Sonic is getting old and after putting Eggman in the home, decides it’s about time to get things right with his family. He hates being a stay-at-home dad but Amy works and he hasn’t found a job yet.

He trains Speed who can summon a Baki-Baki (Japanese sound effect for thumping something, hitting) Stick which is like a fighting stick/bow staff which is reminiscent of Amy’s Piko-Piko (Japanese Toy hammer sound when hit.) Hammer. He’s also light blue, like a turquoise.

He ends up taking over his father’s place as the world’s hero much later down in his character arc. Speed is also a romantic like Amy, he plays in a band (guitar, like Sonic’s underground years) and can’t help but fall in love with any girl he sees. Until he meets Sandy... of course~ (She’s based on Sandy from Greece, and is a cute guinea pig~<3 He’s a lot of girlfriends before this point, or at least a billion crushes.)

Freedom is based on Sonic’s brother’s green quills and how that could run in the family of Blue-Green genetics. so Freedom is a light green who loves race cars and works as an apprentice at TwinTail Industries owned by Tails. He helps Tails, even being so young as he is, the third youngest, to test-run his experiments or help learn about the “Inventions of the future!” He longs to be a racecar driver, like Sonic’s Racing years. 

He can manipulate wind, and this allows him to hover and fly even. (Maybe the start of Silver’s line? If I wanted to think more into that lol)

Rebel is much like her father in that she’s solitary, a little boy chases her around and is a gentleman to her at school and she doesn’t know how to think of it. She’s a darkish purple? And she can summon any weapon she can think of (Reminiscent of Amy’s power). She longs to be a hero too, but is more a punk attitude mixed with Amy’s Rascal side and ends up getting into “righteous mischief” where she does something good but people only see the consequences and bad results.

Amy tells her love stories which she pretends to hate but is actually quite interested if Amy includes adventure in the mix. She wonders how her father fell for Amy, but Sonic ends up telling her the story and it’s a super cute bonding moment! (She’s second to oldest in this timeline AU.)

Moving off of this ‘Future Sonamy’ timeline AU is Sonic and the Chaos Kingdom’s kid. (x)Fanfic, (x)Wattpad, (x)DA, (x)Archive. He also has his own bonus story of wooing Maria!

Skid, wearing a ‘flower crown’ cause he a soft boy~<3

Skid is a ‘sensitive’ boy, as in, he’s quite girlie. He loves girls and wants to marry them all to protect them cause he doesn’t think other boys will treat them right like he would. He’s a pacifist, due the prophecy on him as being the Prince to Bring Peace, and falls madly in love with Banished Prince Shadow’s illegitimate daughter, Maria.

He has the power to drift and is a light sky-blue hedgehog with a punk attitude towards his father, but a sweet boy demeanor to his mother.

Lastly, this Sonamy Children timeline is a darker one. One where Sonic has to go through a portal and may never return, to an alternate dimension where other versions of his friends are too to defeat Eggman who found his other-dimensional self was pathetic and defeated him, overwhelming the other Sonic Team. Sonic in that world has long since vanished, and he feels he has to go save that world.

To prove to Amy he isn’t returning, he elopes with her and gives her the last thing she’s ever wanted from him, but then leaves.

Not necessarily a love-child, Destiny Rose grows up not knowing why she has such a strong sense of justice and the need to fight against tyranny. Finally, Amy, on her sick bed, admits that when Sonic left, he gave her Destiny, and that Amy still believes he’ll one day return. (Although, she did marry a soldier, but he died in another war.)

Destiny also learns she has a brother, but is half a cyberman since the other dimensional Eggman escaped to this world. Little do they know that Sonic has actually returned... and meets Destiny, hearing about her brother and going to free him together.

They defeat this Eggman and the two Eggman's swap, but Sonic admits he was always faithful to his world’s Amy, not the other one. He sees Amy is bedridden and falls at her bedside, letting her know it’s not a dream and that their son is also safe.

The Son is half Cybernetic but is named Sonar, for his expert hearing and senses, he can’t be sneaked up on and can locate things really easily. He also has robot abilities! Haha.

That’s kinda a ‘apocalypse’ AU, lol

My last fan children are based on the idea that Eggman DNA spliced Shadow, Silver, and Sonic’s DNA into three children, who then all attach to Amy who helps them get rid of their (Rowdy Ruff Boys syndrome) bad behaviors and turns them to the light.

Shadow, Silver, and Sonic have to accept these new genetic hedgehogs: Boom (Sonic’s boy), Shade (Shadow’s Girl), and Sterling (Silver’s boy).

Amy protects the kids and teaches the ‘fathers’ how to accept and learn to love their new children.

That’s about all I can think of for them ^^ The other children I’ve created were at random for different stories. ~<3 Enjoy my headcanons!

The Wolf Early Eps Summary

Below the cut are detailed spoilers for episodes 1-11 of The Wolf. Proceed with caution.

I do recommend watching the first 2-3 episodes so you’ll be introduced to the main characters (and because they’re less annoying than the later parts). The time skip occurs ~18 minutes into episode 3 if you want to stop there.

Disclaimer: This is not a 100% complete and detailed summary but includes the things that stuck in my head after marathoning the first 11 eps and seemed significant enough to be worth mentioning. It may be that some things I thought were unimportant will come up again later, but this should at least give you the main points.

There is also some snarky commentary in my description. Please don’t take offense.

Notes: Wolfie = Prince Bo. I refer to him as Wolfie throughout but in the drama he’s called Prince Bo after the time skip.

We meet Ma Zhaixing, daughter of the castellan of Kuizhou, a nice guy, and younger sister of an annoying guy whose name I didn’t retain. Her mom is dead and it turns out that she was actually a princess (Ping Yuan) of the previous dynasty who her dad rescued, but he kept this a secret. (Zhaixing looks exactly like her mom, conveniently.)

We also meet wild child Wolfie who was raised by wolves on a mountain. He more or less doesn’t talk, but Zhaixing has befriended him and they hang out on the mountain and in Kuizhou. He has Magical Wolf Skills like being able to hear butterflies and smell stuff humans can’t and has a bunch of wolf sidekicks.

I’m unclear exactly how old Wolfie and Zhaixing (at this point called Xinger) are supposed to be at this point but I saw 15 somewhere. Anyway, they’re relatively young and are childish best friends with crushes on each other. Also, Zhaixing manipulates things so that people will stop hunting Wolfie’s wolf buddies on the mountain.

Then, a sworn brother of the emperor arrives in Kuizhou and says he wants to eat a wolf, so someone goes and captures the adorable CG wolf puppy. Wolfie is very angry and comes to rescue him. And…to be honest, I found this part confusing and I don’t care enough to figure out the details, but basically the sworn brother is killed and the wolf rescued, and Wolfie is blamed but he may or may not have been framed by a Ma family soldier.

The important part is that Zhaixing exposes the framing and the Ma family soldier dies, but Wolfie is still in trouble. Zhaixing wants him to run away, so she goes up on the mountain and says a bunch of mean stuff to try to get him to leave (but he doesn’t). Then people come looking for him and kill his wolf buddies. Zhaixing has a bell she uses to call Wolfie and her annoying brother steals it and claims she gave it to him, so Wolfie thinks she betrayed him. In the end, Wolfie falls off a cliff.

The emperor showed up before this to see what happened with his sworn brother, and at this point he says not to search for Wolfie. Turns out that this is because he wanted to find Wolfie himself and keep him as a foster son.

The other important point is that Zhaixing hurts her leg trying to rescue Wolfie and this prevents her from searching for him (though she still tries and makes it worse).

8 YEARS PASS

Wolfie is now Prince Bo, the third prince. (The oldest prince is dead and the youngest prince is in the kingdom of Qitan, so only princes 2 and 3 appear in this part of the story.) He’s magically learned to speak and behave like a normal human but still has wolf minions and some special wolf powers.

Zhaixing is still in Kuizhou and keeps rejecting suitors because none of them are Wolfie (and the ones we see suck anyway).

The emperor wants the Ma family army to follow him (I forgot the details). He sends Wolfie and his (non-wolf) minions Hai Die, Wen Yan and Mo Xiao to Kuizhou. The minions know the plan is to kill the entire Ma family except for Zhaixing, but Wolfie doesn’t. (The emperor says he’s too “soft-hearted.”) They successfully carry out this plan, knocking Zhaixing unconscious. Note that Wolfie does promptly find out about the Ma family being murdered but doesn’t (if I remember correctly) kill anyone himself.

Zhaixing is very traumatized and Wolfie goes to fetch some herbs to save her, and then there's a kidnapping and attempted rape, giving Wolfie a chance to save her (from a previous potential suitor who turns out to be a terrible person). She hugs him and cries and then he lies that he's definitely not Wolfie, just someone who happens to look like him

The killing of the Ma family was set up to frame the Jin Kingdom, but the Ma army leader was suspicious and he leads the army to stand outside the palace and threaten to attack unless the emperor swears he didn't arrange the killing. They don’t know Zhaixing is alive (and is convinced that Jin is responsible), so Wolfie has to rush their with her to the palace to prove that emperor's innocence.

That works and Zhaixing is invited into the palace, and the emperor announces that surprise, she's going to marry Wolfie (I mean, Prince Bo who is definitely not Wolfie). With that, the emperor will have the control of the Ma army that he wants. Zhaixing agrees to it partly because she doesn’t have much choice but also to keep the Ma army safe. The Ma army leader leaves his sister Ma Jin to be Zhaixing’s sidekick (since her previous servant sidekick was murdered and is never mentioned again).

I’m not going to go into detail but basically there's a bunch of pointless drama with Wolfie being a jerk to Zhaixing because he thinks she betrayed him back in the day. She thinks he’s a nice guy because he was kind to her while they rushed to the palace and also he saved her from the attempted rapist, but he is not nice at all.

We meet the Second Prince and his pregnant wife and his father-in-law the prime minister. He seems like a nice older brother who Wolfie gets along with well. But then it turns out there are rumors that he's not actually the emperor's son because his mom cheated with a cook in some other part of the country who is now a slave.

And then surprise, that slave comes to the capital to see his son and gets hurt defending a small child, and Zhaixing, being a nice person, brings him into the palace to get treatment, over Wolfie’s objections (because bringing strangers into the palace is bad).

He ends up making a nice dinner for the princes and their wives/fiancees that tastes just like Second Prince's mom's cooking before guards appear and arrest him, having found out who he is. And the second prince, who I guess is not so nice, and his father-in-law have the guy killed in prison before he can reveal the truth.

The emperor has Wolfie investigate and he finds out what happened, basically, and because the Zhaixing brought the slave into the palace and Wolfie let him stay in his part of the palace, Wolfie gets in trouble, and Zhaixing is punished by being forced to kneel outside for 3 days. This is very bad because of her leg injury from trying to save Wolfie back when they were kids and if she kneels too much she might be paralyzed!

(Sidebar: It’s not officially confirmed that the second prince isn’t the emperor’s son, only that his mom slept with the other guy at a time that would make that possible, and for now the secret is under wraps and his status doesn’t change. It’ll probably come up again later.)

And so Ma Jing goes and yells at Wolfie about that and (without knowing who he is) exposits in great detail the story about how Zhaixing tried to save Wolfie back in the day and was injured because of it and her brother stole her bell and so on. Wolfie realizes he was an idiot thinking she betrayed him and dramatically rescues her in the rain, even though it'll get him in big trouble.

So you would think Wolfie would be better now that he knows Zhaixing didn't betray him, but he's still kind of a jerk and also lies to her that he's definitely not Wolfie, for reasons I don't understand.

After all of that, we're introduced to the princess from Qitan, Bao Na who apparently developed a crush on Wolfie when he and Second Prince went there to deliver their brother as a hostage. (Not explicitly a hostage, but that's basically the point.) And surprise, she's coming to visit with very little warning.

They don't want to hurt her feelings even though Wolfie is extremely not into her because they need her dad to lend them troops, so Zhaixing volunteers to pretend to be a servant or something and hide that Wolfie is engaged.

The princess’ crush on Wolfie is ridiculous and it's not worth getting into, but basically she's extremely convinced that Wolfie loves her back. They go out on the town and he buys a present that she thinks is for her, but then he gives it to Zhaixing and the princess finds out and throws a temper tantrum and leaves.

Oh, and the second prince (who is now I guess fully evil) and his father-in-law manipulate the situation so that the princess will find out and get mad at Wolfie. (Zhaixing gets injured and Wolfie is worried, but I’ve forgotten the details and they’re not important.)

Also, Zhaixing wants to learn to fight and Wolfie flirts while helping her learn to use a bow. She clearly likes him but he’s only sporadically nice to her and arrogant the rest of the time (and is still lying to her about both his identity and the deaths of the Ma family).

And this is the point, 22 minutes into episode 11, that Ji Chong first appears. The only other thing you really need to know is that the old man who talks to him after he gets his bounty is the prime minister and the guy inside the cart is the second prince.

jarvan iv’s new lore / the good, the bad and the oh?

i just wanted to make a more official post on the changes or expansions in his new bio and my own opinions on them and why i think they’re good or bad or if they’re confusing. i will be posting a like thing to the forums in hopes of getting some answers from riot.

THE GOOD !

JARVAN III ! riot has added further information about jarvan the third, the current king of demacia. it’s really nice to actually have some official information on the man who rules the entirety of demacia rather than having to infer things from a mix of slight mentions in character bios and old lore. we know he is a smart ruler, one with a strong political mind allowing him to prevent infighting between political houses. we now know him to a loving, if a bit absent father, and a devoted husband and is truly trying to do right by his son. man even seemed unfazed by his son bringing home a half dragon when the entire demacian court was questioning the wisdom of letting the prince have a dragon on his personal guard. i don’t know man, they’ve made jarvan iii chill and i like him.

XIN ZHAO EXISTS ! this is more existence xin has seen in years and look i know it’s a brief ass mention in jarvan’s lore on how y’know he is actually doing his job of the seneschal of demacia and the lightshield family’s steward and just looking after a young jarvan but damn. yes. give xin lore and give jarvan the personal relationships which should have been established before and did exist back in the old - old lore.

EXTRA DETAILS ! i do like the small extra details given to events in this new biography. for instance, before he warred in the areas to the south, now we know the true names of these areas and where he fought and that these were also the same lands jarvan i lost his head to sion fighting in. we know a little more about his childhood and his education and why things were the way they were. just nice little details which gives his early bits of lore some interesting bits and bobs.

THIS LINE ! ‘ and the king beginning to feel the weight of his years, the prince must ensure he is prepared to one day inherit the throne, and be crowned King Jarvan IV of Demacia. ’ this line right here. this makes me feel things, that is all. just damn, king jarvan iv of demacia. now ain’t that a mood.

THE BAD !

LADY CATHERINE ! now, jarvan’s mother was only once mentioned back in the journals of justice and i honestly thought riot had forgotten about her. yet, i still joked with the release of sylas that they do not touch her. and, you know what, they really shouldn’t have. i am happy she got mention but i hate that she was revived into lore purely for the trope of killing off female characters as some kind of poor excuse for development and angst in male character’s lives. like yes, demacia is low technology and anti - magic so childbirth is probably a dangerous thing which results in a great many more deaths than in the modern day, but it was wholly unnecessary for jarvan’s older lore did not require it so it was a detail cheaply used and unwarranted. 

NO CAPTURE ! jarvan’s narrative across all lores from the oldest to the one just prior to now have included him spending time in noxian custody due to a mistake on his part and him feeling the need for self - improvement and redemption. this has been his hallmark for many years and provided strong reason for character development by curbing his pride and his rash behaviour, showing his strong empathy for his fellow man and how that is both boon as well as cause cause him to make blind errors. each of these lores has provided us with a sheltered character pulled into a world far more gritty than he was living in, struggling, failing but rebuilding himself into a stronger person. yet here, jarvan barely fails. his ‘ downfall ’ moment is simply that his battalion gets splintered off after scores of victories which spread them too thin. that’s right, he won too much, got cocky and kept pressing forward. while it mentions he was troubled by what he saw there was no blind dash ignoring of orders cause he couldn’t let the murderers of his people walk free. nah, now it’s more an ego complex following a pledge to bring stability to the region and possibly regrouping when you hear the gates of mourning fell is not on the agenda when doing that. so instead, he is splintered off and he and some survivors wouldn’t surrender and escaped into the forests where they were hunted down and jarvan finally took an arrow to the knee side. here it catches up with the older lore and he lies dying in a fallen tree till our dragon friend comes to save him after mistaking him for food ( i hope they don’t remove that line from her lore when it gets updated i love it ). not to mention it removes his torture by noxus and i have no idea how swain’s line works anymore or how sion even exists.

NO VILLAGE ! so jarvan gets saved and brought to castle wrenwall which is where he combated yvva in older lore and not the small demacian village. this further changes jarvan’s narrative as they know who he is. the garrison commander instantly knows jarvan is the prince and thanks shyvana for saving her. her being a part of demacia no longer becomes because they saw her saving some random demacian and helping him and so having demacian like values and so inviting her to stay because she is a good person. it instead becomes well you saved the prince we are indebted to you. it also loses the charm of shyvana helping out in a village and the prince having to learn to live as a normal person since he is pretending to be so. it also squishes the timeline some but i’ll cover that in the next bit . . .

JARVAN’S SELFISH ! jarvan’s motivation to help shyvana is completely changed. i doubt this was intentional but the wording is very off. before: shyvana tries to leave because she knows the dragon attacks that have started happening are her fault. jarvan stops her, learns of her past and then pledges to help her because she is his friend and he owes his life to her. his own doesn’t matter, he will help her or die trying. now: the very recount heavy style of the rewriting of this new lore implies he sees yvva coming in the distance and he sees her as an opportunity to redeem himself, not help shyvana. in fact, in this new lore they barely interact. jarvan has no reason to care for her since he is still injured when yvva appears so they haven’t spent long together. like when i said the timeline is squashed i mean from several months down to maybe a couple weeks. there is no need for this reduction and all it does is hurt jarvan and shyvana’s friendship and turn jarvan into someone who cares more for his ego than his friend. what happened to learning about charity, huh?

GAREN BARELY EXISTS ! do i need to say more, jarvan’s old lore told much of their friendship and how garen’s efforts saved him but thats now deleted from the timeline and all jarvan is left with is a mention that they were friends, an almost copy paste from garen’s older lore which mentions he admires his fortitude and that now he is shield - captain so jarvan needs to shape up. it just doesn’t feel connected or personal. how am i meant to see that two people are friends if all you say is, yeah, they’re friends. how about some show not tell?

TOO MANY OTHER PEOPLE / REALLY RUSHED ! now i’m sure you’ll be surprised since i said i was happy to see stuff on jarvan iii and xin ( cause i am ) the issue is the writers are working under a kind of word limit system so while i love reading about other champions and characters, devoting several paragraphs of jarvan’s limited amount to other characters and info which is interesting but doesn’t push his story too much feels a little cheap. this rushed pace they then had to write with acts to flatten his character. things that were written once in beautiful detail are now reduced to recounted fact that lack the emotion of what the previous did. ie: CURRENT: ‘ He was devastated. He had failed his family, his kingdom, and his brothers-in-arms. ’ OLDER: ‘ As Jarvan was dragged further from Demacia during his weeks of captivity, he was ashamed that the rashness of his decision to pursue the Noxians had led to needless Demacian deaths. Crushed by the loss, he came to believe he no longer deserved to live in Demacia, let alone inherit its throne. ‘ even just this little bit on his emotions post failure. before it goes into how he stews in his grief for weeks. his shame. his loss. he no longer feels like he can be called demacian. now he is just devastated because he failed.

THE OH ?

JARVAN’S STANCE ON MAGIC IS KNOWN ? people know shyvana is a dragon now. all the nobles in attendance know. jarvan’s father knows. his friend who hates mages probably knows. literally anyone who can hear court or military gossip knows. how is this man left to do his shit when everyone knows that jarvan has a dragon on his personal guard ? this is the prince of a magic fearing nation, a nation who has in recent times made their laws significantly stricter. HOW IS HE JUST AROUND? DOES LUX KNOW THIS? DOES SYLAS KNOW ANY OF THIS? HOW IS SHYVANA NOT LOCKED UP WITH THE NEW STRICTER LAWS ??????????

IS THE KING / QUEEN STILL ELECTED ? a big part of jarvan’s character previously was that he had to toe around his nation’s views because his actions could easily be seen as treasonous or wrong and prevent him from being elected king when his father relinquishes the throne. but now it just mentions he is the heir and he is to inherit it, which it was mentioned in the other lore that he would inherit it ( or rather it was mentioned he didn’t feel like he could since it was mentioned when he was depressed ) so i don’t know if they have scrapped this part of demacian lore or if it just wasn’t mentioned. i have no idea.
