Can capitalism exist without the need for growth, but with the goal of sustainability

THE fucking question because its like… its so thoroughly entrenched in society, culture, language and the way we think that we might as well trying to imagine what a new colour would look like. Hell, capital and consumerism has probably been part of what has been atomizing gender as capital just shred everything tangibly akin to some sort of decelerationist tradition.

A state apparatus is required to temper capitalism, as we understand it today, but even that is such to befit and serve capital. This is why it’s incredibly difficult to imagine a future where late capitalism doesnt just bursts into a sort of techno hyper-capitalism that sprints into a horizon where humanity is itself eviscerated in the creation of an ascended sentience.

If you want sustainability, your entire praxis needs to revolve around a hostility toward growth, trade and even communication. Something that constantly is working to prevent growth and greater, more integrated political structures. Which is pretty much echoed in the Duginist foreign policy of Russia of breaking countries into smaller ethnopolitical units. Russia’s enemies are less America and Western Europe and more the force that demonically possesses them. Basically slap a pine tree emoji on ur twitter handle.

But dugin has the right idea (albeit constructed around preserving the state of Russia in that uniquely slavic manner of theorycasting). To foment an alternative to and combat capitalism and the dehumanizing accelerating nature of growth, a fourth position is required. A position that exists laterally from existing theory structures. One that can exist in the toxic miasma of contemporary theory that pilots all toward capital.

Good morning Third parties and residents of King falls, its been a hot minute hasn’t it? Well that’s because here in the Underground we’ve had a change of plans regarding releases of our episodes. So from now on we were going to release episodes of the underground on the 5th and 20th of every month. This is to make the underground slightly more visible and also provide you listeners with the upmost up to date with the newest releases from the station.
