I had a dream we were discussing some new Ace Attorney content where Nick had like, a long lost twin who was some kind of federal investigator and his friends were like "Nick I get your spikes are iconic, but we CAN still tell it's you when you shave them off." and he was just "???"

then it segued into a dream about a new Mario game.

That's hilarious, oh my god. Especially because even if his twin weren't long lost, Phoenix just never mentioning having an identical twin working a job he might someday run into the professionally is completely in character, ahahaha.

Actually, what might be even funnier is if Roc (mythical bird placename for the longlost twin) first met either Franziska or Edgeworth on the job, and having been separated from his brother for most of their lives he has no idea why these prosecutors are shooting him utter death glares and demanding to know what he thinks he's up to. The poor man.

I’m a terrible person for not answering this sooner! I’m so sorry!!

🌙 What time of day do you prefer to write? Why?

I prefer to start first thing when n the morning, but that’s usually when I get a lot of my chores/ errands done. I find myself writing consistently in late afternoon/ evening (though I still prefer writing as early in the day as possible; my motivation wanes through the afternoon).

🌞Who is one character you haven’t yet written for that you would like to?

This was the one I was trying to mull over before I answered this ask and then got sidetracked! I’m not sure! I’ve written all of the main characters in BttF, so I guess I would start exploring more tertiary/ background characters. I liked giving Stubble more a voice to even out Buford in Part 3 of my Time Circuits Series, and in an alternate timeline of my own fic where Emma gets kidnapped by Tannen for an extensive period of time after the murder of her father, his gang would play a much more central role. I also have only just grazed Jules and Verne, but I adore writing them, especially in the “Storytime with Marty McFly” snippets I do where Marty is telling them about his adventures at the fireside. Giving them their own adventure might be fun!

Any tips or ideas to make coffee particularly special if I have a little more time to brew it? Of course a French Press is a must, but any ideas for things I can add to coffee?

I actually don’t think a French Press is a must! I actually prefer pourover coffee, all things considered. But you didn’t ask me about technique, you asked me about things to ADD to coffee. 

First things first, I’d say the greatest way to improve your coffee experience is buy good, whole bean coffee, and grind it right before you use it. Here’s a grinder under 40 bucks with great control and good innards: https://www.javapresse.com/products/coffee-grinder  

Second things second depends on what you LIKE to enhance your coffee.

 My favorite addition to coffee is cream. I prefer cream to sweetener, all told, so this is my go-to for it. If I want to make a special coffee, what I’ll generally do is add cream and whiskey, because that’s a special fucking morning for me. If I’m feeling VERY fancy, I’ll whip up some quick ganache or caramel, but honestly, I almost always only do this for guests or a brunch I’m holding. Sweetened condensed milk is DECADENT in coffee. A bit of cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa can add a whole nother layer of depth to a roast without being sugar on sugar on sugar.

The wine is so cool! Were they wild picked dandelions, or ones you grew for this purpose?

These were wild picked dandelions, mostly from our own yard, naturally occurring. This year we were crazy with the flowers. 

Unless one has a commercial purpose, they should almost never specifically plant dandelions because they are extremely pervasive and will blow their seeds into neighboring yards and land, spreading like wildfire. They’re not considered an invasive species, but they are a prolific weed which irritates many lawn-goers.

Now, that having been said, when I decided to undertake this, I did decide to let the dandelions grow a bit in our yard and come to flower before mowing the lawn. No harm there. Plucking the flower head prevents the dandelion from going to seed anyway.

first off, I absolutely love it. There are three possibilities that came to mind, and I can't decide which is most fun.

Hardison's art - for some reason a con requires Hardison to put Old Nate or some other painting on display somewhere with a false story about its background. Maybe it's a real rush job of a con, so he doesn't have time to create a more ideal forgery or whatever. But Phoenix happens to be investigating in the same area and maybe that one particular artist/style was his favorite or whatever. Anyway he figures out it's a fake, says as much out loud to Maya, compromises the con. Or just insults it in front of Hardison who gets offended, ahahaha. (then later on he meets Nate himself and goes "hmmm")

Parker is posing as an art student. Phoenix interviews her for a case and is very much suspicious because while she definitely does has a wild energy about her it's not the right one. Also she is a hundred percent just making up random art terms sometimes (in between the ones Hardison is feeding her over comms)

Sophie - Either she poses as an art teacher and Phoenix is fully willing to buy that about her, it's just [insert other thing] that he finds suspicious, or they meet in an art gallery where Phoenix is criticizing the works while Sophie is waxing effusive on what she likes about them/their history (which seem to be their favorite ways to digest art). They have a lot of fun talking together, and at it's only at the end of their conversation/a later encounter where they realize their jobs overlap/they're in each others' way.

I thought buying loose popcorn and a popcorn maker would fix this issue, but it just led to me making easy popcorn and THEN having a mess to clean up

my dad insists on buying the kernels which just doesnt taste as good as the microwave one which the butter is absoltuely gonna kill me but i dont care thats what makes it good
