Day 25: Cage

Worse still, it's his own trap: nothing in and nothing out—for three days. Unable to reach her with magic, Rumplestiltskin can only watch her waste away and reckon with what he's about to lose.

I think it's about time I drew the other important half to the dynamic duo for Back to the Future, Marty McFly!

Was a little nervous to draw him since I hadn't really drawn Marty... like ever. So first time with the boy. Much thanks to the Tell Tale Game for helping me figure out how to render his hair. Honestly I had a ton of fun with his outfits. Little smaller compared to Docs but just like Doc I did limit it to just one outfit per movie/game. Though you may notice one interesting outlier and that would be the Citizen Brown Marty.

Admittedly the Citizen Brown Marty is me taking a shot at imagining what he looked like in the Citizen Brown Timeline. I took inspiration for his outfit from a post of Michael J. Fox who showed a picture of his role in Family Ties and said this is what Citizen Brown Marty dresses like. So, I took that and ran with it. I know the Hill Valley in that timeline has a pretty uniform look but I imagine those that have high honors like Marty (Honor Student and President of the Junior Brown Brigade.) are allowed some special attire. So, in this case he gets to rock a sweater vest over a blue and white collared shirt. I also liked the idea it's supposed to basically be a Citizen Brown version of his normal clothes, with the vest emulating his puffy jacket and the collared shirt being like his jean jacket. Boy is a bit more reserved in that timeline but some of the Marty we all know and love is in there. He's just repressing it for safety. I do have some other plans with this version of Marty but that's a story for another time.

One of the funny things about getting into Back to the Future is realizing how insanely culturally ubiquitous it is. Your favorite youtuber is using clips of it. Character designs are based on it. You go to a movie and the school dance is Back to the Future themed for basically no reason at all. People are making allusions all the goddamn time, sometimes without even realizing it. Her influence.....

I’m gonna read some of your fic tonight, but can I just say when I see tags like “ hurt/ comfort “ or “ fluff” or “ humor”… thank you.

( I’ve been in a v stressful situation the past few months and things have happened the past day or so That I’m not elaborating on due to personal reasons. So more of the OTP is love 💕)

I am so glad I am able to provide you a little respite from what’s going on in your life. That is my whole goal: give people something to enjoy/ laugh at in this stupid, stressful world. Tis an honor to help you cope, unwind, and get a little peace ❤️

Day 24: Disoriented

Day 23: Bees

Can’t a man try to seduce the woman he loves in peace?

Rating: T || Genre: Humor, Fluff, Whump || Words: 2800 || Summary: Rumplestiltskin's getting braver, leaving flowers about the castle for his little maid to discern and decipher. But when Belle catches him red-handed, a sultry summer afternoon in the gardens heats up with banter, bee stings, and cherry wine wickedness.

Day 22: "Stay with me."

“But I haven’t brought you the severed heads of your attackers on a silver platter yet!”

Rating: T || Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Whump || Words: 3400 || Summary: When Belle fails to return from the village, Rumplestiltskin finds her discarded on the side of the road, broken but intact. As she recovers, Rumplestiltskin grapples with never having felt so murderous—or soft—in his life.

Little thing I made for myself to get better at drawing Doc. Plus just having a bit of a reference sheet for his main outfits through out the movies. (And game) I would've done all his wardrobe but then this would take way longer so had to keep it to one outfit per movie. (With the exceptions of his 1986 fit since that also comes from the 3rd film and technically his 1955 and 1985 counterparts respectively.) Maybe I'll touch on his other outfits at another time.) Fun time! Though tricky with getting enough reference shots to recreate the outfits. XD I looked at both movies and even some figures just to get details down. And took liberties here and there. Prolly the hardest ones were 1985 and 1885 due to the amount of detailing needed for the equipment on them. (Especially that rifle on his 1885 self. Goooosh don't get me started.) Overall, very pleased with the results.

Today I have acquired a new blorbo. It is, of course, a wretched little man with a somewhat twisted sense of honour. I put him in my blorbo basket and carried him home. Tomorrow I shall display him on the mantel when my friend comes for tea.

Day 21: "Let me have a look."

He got invited to a ball. And Belle saw the damned invitation.  

Rating: T || Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Whump || Words: 2600 || Summary: Belle is elated to attend a ball with Rumplestiltskin in Andalasia. But when he chooses the wrong moment to be prideful, Belle chooses another, leaving him to stew in jealousy, regret, and fear. Everything is falling apart. And then Belle falls down the stairs.

He did not appreciate being reminded of her mortality.
