He kinda does the same thing too. Recently he’s bought like, a lot of silly stim toys, so if you need something to do with your hands he’s got you covered.

No matter what, he would never get annoyed by how much you gesture and fidget. He does the same thing! Probably as much as you! He just sees it as a good thing, it makes it easier for you to get your point across. If anyone ever got mad at you for it, he’s immediately telling them to shut up.

okay now also. yuuji's domain. i want to talk about yuuji's domain so bad. one thing i noticed was that he doesn't name it. at first i was pretty disappointed because im a weirdo and i love their weird word salad names, i love that e.g. fushiguro and mahito just bust out full poems on i guess instinct when they use their domains for the first time!! so the fact that yuuji didn't get one felt at first like he was being... slighted by the convention almost? but.

this is again a thing i think could have been cool if leaned into, in a few ways. ive just been having these ideas about how yuuji's domain is different from other domains, one of those ways being in its lack of a name.

first of all from a character perspective - yuuji's whole persona in battle is like warpath, tunnel vision, beat your ass shit, so it does kinda make sense that his domain would be just as no muss no fuss just get it the fuck done, in a way. once again. lean into this!!

but also, i started thinking about what we saw with characters like gojo and sukuna, and the idea of jujutsu as the art of elision. when those characters wanted to juice their big moves, they reverted rituals that included vocal incantations. that exact word salad shit. i started thinking - those word salad domain names are like, that, you know? maybe this is explicit and i just missed it somewhere. or i forgor. but perhaps invoking a domain's name makes it more powerful, or easier to establish, or something

but anyway. what IS yuuji's domain and what does it do. he learned from kusakabe, so it's at least somewhat akin to a simple domain, but we also know yuuji's body holds the memory of malevolent shrine - does that have any influence on how the domain turned out? it seems pretty... big, for lack of a better way of describing a mental projection. no other simple domain really HAD projections. are there no techniques imbued in it? what about vows, like sukuna with his whatever barrier bullshit? yuuji's forces sukuna back into the yuukuna body. why? how? we've seen how domains can make its targets abide by rules, what rule is this? sukuna also acts nonviolently for as long as yuuji strings him through illusory sendai, and i dont know if this is a choice by sukuna (which idk whether i do or do not understand as a character choice at this point) or if it's enforced by the domain somehow.

(I feel like, these things either need to be More or even Less clear. like i understand just enough to have burning questions. if this were more obtuse and symbolic, i would probably be content to ride the vibes, actually. I'm gonna be honest, I freaked out a bit when I saw the title of today's LaES video. I thought it seemed a bit fast to reveal a certain someone's code being in Solar's head, if that's even what happened. Still, Solar's mindscape being a replica of that one Willy Wonka room is certainly interesting. Also interesting is how the mind version of Solar, before Solar himself was sucked in, seemed less aware than Earth's mind-self. He saw Lunar and was about to categorize him, and all with no life or emotion. Honestly, I can't say it's too shocking; Solar's been working almost constantly with very little true rest (zoning out or playing games doesn't count as true rest), so I can only imagine how tired he must be.

And Lunar saw what happened with Solar's Moon...that's fun. I saw comments about how the memory was a bit different than how the actual event happened. One, with the behind-the-scenes explanation, Davis and EC were recreating the scene on the fly; they were NOT going to get it exact. Second, the in-universe explanation, which is that memories are just kind of like that. Memories are like old VHS tapes; the more times you play them back, and the longer you go playing them back often, the more altered they'll become. Still, even recent memories aren't going to be recalled EXACTLY as they happened.

Anyway, I let myself get a bit too hyped and inadvertently led myself to feeling let down that we didn't get the dramatic scene I played out in my head after reading the title. At least now Lunar might actually be able to get rid of Forgor.

Anyway, I've been thinking about my brain and its problems because my partner has a new work friend who is also autistic, but her and I followed different paths. She seems to be on the Naruto Uzumaki grind of saying exactly what she means and is thinking at all times. The barrier between her and other people made her more forward and blunt, which is probably good. I however went the conflict avoidance route, where I got tired of trying to be understood so I've just spoken less and less over the years. I used to be very social but lately I'm going whole days saying almost nothing to anyone

Its largely because of the specific people I'm around every day, cuz my mom doesnt care about whatever the fuck I'm doing in Onimusha or Splatoon. I've learned what stuff people outside my fixations would be equipped to find interesting. My mom listens, but I dont want to waste her time or bug her while shes working with stuff that isn't relevant to her. And my brother is the most equipped to have conversations with but he's also on a different autism wavelength that seems to be becoming incompatible with mine. Like earlier today I said I was getting really tired of him and our friend being so fuckin negative about everything all the time and then like 2 minutes later he said I was a bitch for paying attention to what skills I have on in Monster Hunter. Something just ain't lining up in our conversations

HIII hi im gonna say that i agree that i dont rlly think denji sounds like denji. like the immaturity in his voice doesnt rlly sound like its there, but its rough and im hoping the VA for the dub might turn out to be better or this VA can kind of develop more of a denjier sounding voice as the series progresses. though im not gonna lie when denji started talking i thought it was aki talking at first. i legit forgor what akis VA sounded like

makimas voice though i still imagine it to be slightly lower ive seen some comments and i think yea actually her voice being higher kind of makes sense because it kind of lulls denji into a sense of security and also it makes the plot twist of her being a devil more believable because she sounds higher than everyone else and like not as human if that makes sense (not saying that ppl with high voices arent human but u get what i mean)

for some reason i feel like i liked powers voice in the firsf trailer or smth more than this new one, i still kind of like powers voice but idk if it sounded like /right/ i just didnt rlly care this time

LITERALLY THAT i also feel like ppl tend to view Makima as the fandomized "ara ara~" woman and has her as the very ominous and all-encompassing character she is at the end, but in reality for most of the manga she is played to be a veey innocent, tho still powerful, character. Or maybe less so "innocent" and more "distant". Like,,,, She is Shown to be powerful and, obviously, dominating over other people/things and is very much so when she needs to be, ex. in hell, but she isnt Percieved as all-powerful by the characters if that makes sense honestly the more I think about her as a character the less her having a deeper voice makes sense. idk im explaining it rlly badly but.

OOOH i totally get that I feel like im solidly neutral on her voice rn- like I think it doesnt fit some aspects of her but at the same time its not Awful and Totally out of character yknow?
