Okay so uh. Sorry to my jaytim ppl but this is not gonna be jaytim???

In a WILD turn of events, I sat down to write my Jaytim reverse robins fic bc I was feeling inspired about it and I wrote the first chapter. And then by the time I got to the end of it I was like oh. Oh this is actually DamiTim. And then I just. Couldn't stop writing. I definitely am still going to write the Jaytim flavored version, so no one worry about that, but apparently, this is also happening!!

So here you are, some Nightwing!Damian/Red Hood!Tim!!!! I hope you all enjoy 💖 (context to the scene: they are on the phone at a ridiculously early hour)

Right now I’d like to strangle you.” “I think that would be fair.” Tim laughs, a surprised, sudden noise, and Damian wants to beam. “How is your throat?” he asks, and his voice has gone gentle, softness leaking into it. “It’s fine.” Tim's voice is icing over, losing warmth. “And your wrist?” “You left a few bruises, but nothing’s broken. Full range of motion. Does it matter?” Of course, Damian wants to say. Of course it matters. “I did not mean to hurt you.” “You never mean to,” Tim mutters, and Damian isn’t entirely sure he was meant to hear it. “What are you doing right now?” “Making coffee,” Tim sighs, irate. “Do you still take it with an obscene amount of sugar?” Damian asks, trying to get him back, trying to get his brother back. He wonders how much of the rest of his life will be spent trying to get his brother back. “No, I drink it black.” That knowledge settles painfully under his left rib. “You used to take it with so much sugar that I was concerned.” Tim scoffs. “And you still won’t touch the stuff, I’m sure? Only fine teas for the prince?” Damian squeezes his eyes shut. “I have… developed a taste for coffee.” “I bet your blend costs five thousand dollars a bean.” “I don’t think it even costs five cents a bean.” “Oh? Where do you source it?” “The bodega.” Tim snorts. “Sorry, sorry. I’m just trying to picture Damian Wayne walking into a bodega with a sword strapped to his back, digging through his pockets for enough change to afford his morning cup.” A smile curls across Damian’s lip, against his will. He is powerless to prevent it. “The owner is Egyptian. It can be nice to have a conversation in Arabic, every once in a while.” There’s a pause before Tim answers him.

“How do you take your coffee?” he asks in Arabic. “Black,” Damian responds in Arabic, feeling that same feeling he always gets when he gets to rest his English. Like collapsing onto his bed after an especially long day, remembering that his comforter and sheets and pillows were waiting for him. “I didn’t know you missed speaking Arabic.” “I never knew you spoke Arabic.” “Yes, you did,” Tim snaps, abruptly switching back to English. “You knew.” “…not when I would have had an occasion to use it.” “An occasion, are you kidding me? Any time you wanted. Any time you wanted to walk into the manor and say anything to me, you know I would have listened. I would have done anything for you, don’t you get that?” Damian sighs at himself. Why is he even doing this? Every time he thinks he finds an opening, Tim slams the door on his fingers. “Yes, I do." “You are infuriating to talk to, you know that?” “Yes,” Damian answers. “Why are you staying on the phone with me?” “Because you—” Tim groans at himself, and Damian feels like an intruder. “You always make me want more than I can have.” Before Damian can think of an answer to that, Tim has hung up.

Oh man, I love that Sooyoung had her own "I'm not the protagonist" realization moment just like Dokja had all those chapters ago. Just realizing that she's the writer, Dokja is the reader, and the best way for the writer to speak to the reader is through the character.

Actually, its a good theory. Melissa said in her interview that this whole storyline of Ray may comeback later in the season or next season (not me holding to this being delulu refusing to accept what happened).

and yes, that's why it came to mind! i thought it was so interesting that she said that??? not only the "this season or another" but also the fact that she says in that same answer "i wouldn't count him out" twice.

tim walked away from lucy to protect her and no doubt part of that protection in his mind is keeping her (and tamara) safe from whatever danger could come their way via ghosts from his past that he feels responsible for and knows that by caring about them, he's putting targets on their back. if we really haven't seen the last of ray, there's no way tim will let him come near them like that again and them "not together" would make lucy a less susceptible target.

D&D Character Asks - Gan

1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character?

They were originally created in the Dragon Age universe as a cousin to my HoF, Briva Tabris. I wanted my Tabris to have some family for post DAO and decided on a cousin that would travel with her (since I didn't want Shianni or Soris to fill that role). I've brought them over to BG3 now (which I'm basing these asks off of) because they weren't tied to another central story and they are my evil/morally dubious character for RPing those things.

5. What creature would they like to have as a pet?

A ferret - I've made their love of ferrets carry over to multiple universes where I've used them (Dragon Age, Fallout New Vegas, Wasteland 3, Baldur's Gate 3). Why I chose ferrets, I couldn't tell you but I think they are adorable lol

7. Is there anyone they’d die for? Kill for?

Die for? Absolutely not. Let's get one thing clear, Gan dies for no one. Kill for though? A handful of folks - Astarion, Minthara, Shadowheart, Étoile (@omgkalyppso OC), Ixbalam (@meishuu OC), Penelope (@bhaalbaaby OC), and their family if they ever decided to get over their self imposed exile from them.

9. How would this character react to someone confessing their love for them?

So it depends on the circumstances but if we're talking about the normal one of someone they're involved with, it still depends LOL.

If it's a situation where they weren't expecting it because they had completely different ideas of what they had with the other person, they would listen and gauge whether or not they needed to say those words back to them. If they can get by without having to say them and just react kind of similarly through action to keep the person from being brokenhearted they will do that instead.

If they are kind of expecting it and they feel a bit like the other person, they will verbally express caring about the person but not love.

A confession of your love for them does not guarantee they will be confessing love for you. Only when they are ready will love be expressed 🤷🏾‍♀️

Thank you for asking! It was great, OBVIOUSLY. I saw Louis play a short set in late 2019, but was not able to go to Walls tour, so this was my first time at a proper tour show (in Berkeley last night) and it was brilliant! I have been trying to figure out what to say besides that though cause tbh there are two posts I want to make. So… both? First for my recap- it was so loud, like the music was just normal concert loud but I had to plug my ears against the screaming between songs cause it was way louder- I just figured it was the in person experience difference but no, Louis confirmed, “you guys have been so fucking loud in here tonight, it's actually been hard for me to hear” so GO US! The chokingly thick haze of weed smoke (“I already feel the energy, I already feel the love, I can already smell the weed,” he was not fucking kidding) to usher in HIC in California (and all the other songs lol) didn’t diminish the energy a bit! Truly, there is nothing like the energy of shared live music, and meeting eyes of other fans (through the trees) and sharing that excitement. And seeing actual physical unmediated Louis, just existing in space being a real live human, yeah. Something.

I was like I'm not gonna bother to take pictures or anything, I just want to dance and hear and look, everyone else's pics will be better anyway but then the TECH, you guys know how much I love the fucking aesthetic of this tour and the screens were SO PRETTY in real life!! So in fact I KEPT getting my phone out for that so like... good one tech crew, you got me. Look for many low quality aesthetic posts of the screens incoming, sorry not sorry. Common People was SO PRETTY, his voice was so clear and lovely and I'm so glad that's been added in. WDBHG went HARD live, holy shit, SO FUN (tho tbh me as Louis thinking I know all the words to that song but it turns out there are a lot? And I do not? At least I was in the best possible company fumbling and mumbling through parts.) Heartbroken I didn’t get Saturdays live (honestly the one song I think might have been my exception to the next thing I’m gonna say) but so thankful for BTM🖤

But part two of this post is to say that watching the livestreams with you all is also brilliant and special and also lets me experience the beauty of Louis’ voice and presence and connection and the feeling of experiencing something together. I wasn’t able to go last year, and I know some of you (many many thousands worldwide!) won’t be able to go this year either or maybe ever, and I know you are seeing the posts telling you there is nothing like being there and you can't really know or appreciate Louis/ Louis’ voice/ the experience unless you are there in person and it feels sad and I want to tell you that I have done the research now and I don’t think that is true. Most people who go to the show won’t have a Y/N moment and be Perceived by Louis or be at barricade, and I don’t think the experience we are having online together is less real or profound than the live experience. His voice sounded fucking gorgeous and soaring and I loved it, but even if you are there it is mediated by all kinds of tech; I imagine getting to be present for an acoustic performance really would be something that couldn’t be replicated but I think a really good live through a clear speaker or a nice quality show video is in fact just fine. Some of the songs did hit me harder in person and get my blood pumping in a different way, yes- but others I actually think I get a fuller experience of in a chiller more focused environment when everything isn’t flying by as quickly. Like I don’t think the megamix would impact the way it does (UGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH) if I just saw it live once and done, for example. Anyway I’m just saying if you can’t make your own (go to the show) store bought is fine (hang with us at stream time! or just whatever online content). While I never intend to watch every stream in fact I am usually right here and love to chat and squee with people, come hang out, or just watch some videos and enjoy the magic.

the way i learned the main difference between bebop/hard bop and modal jazz is the emphasis on tonality vs. modality to construct harmonies. bop utilizes repeated chord progressions with more focus given to functional harmonies; modal jazz utilizes entire modes (often staying in one mode the entire time) which allows use of all seven notes to create harmonies which often don’t resolve (even though there’s still a tonal center). chord changes in bop also often occur at a faster tempo than modulations in modal jazz (if there are any modulations at all; for example, john coltrane’s “india” is an extended vamp in G mixolydian)

ive always personally disliked daenerys and while the last season was a mess i wasn't surprised with her choices

oooh interesting, for the most part I actually really liked daenerys, I thought she was a cool character, but I also wasn't surprised by where her arc went by the end! I was kind of expecting her whole 'descent into madness' thing and there were some indications of it earlier on, I just think the pacing of it was not handled well. everything was just squished into the last season so it felt SUPER rushed, but I think if they'd started earlier and spread it out more it over the last few seasons could've been really good.

also yesss sansa is so fantastic but also seems to be one of those female characters that people hate just bc she's actually complex and interesting so anytime I hear that someone dislikes her I'm like alright. and why is that. (answer wrong and u will be thrown in the pit)

omg imagine if that kid he rescued from the ice in 3.02 went back to his school and just hyped TK up so.hard. that he became a mini celebrity amongst the kids. Then a medical call pops up at his school and the 126 gets sent; TK helps rescue a different kid but the ice rescue boy sees that it’s TK and is like “that’s him!!” and TK’s legend status multiplies. Some middle school kid makes a tiktok about him. The student-run school paper wants to interview him. Kids stop him at the grocery store.
