You get so many specific prompts, so I thought maybe it might be fun to send you a prompt with just a few words so you can write ANYTHING you want for them, in any au or in canon! (And obviously if muse doesn’t strike feel free to skip lol but if you like this i’ll keep sending them!) words for this one: sunshine, gratitude, eyes
"Hey."
Gil smiles as she finds her place next to him. They're not on watch, he just would rather be out here than on Ajak's mission to socialise with the humans. "Hey, Sunshine."
She laughs, because she thinks it's funny that he calls her these things. Like it's a sweet joke, just between the two of them. He calls her that because it suits her--describes her. "Admiring the view?"
Honestly, the planet is...dull. Not that Sersi wouldn't have a whole dissertation with which to correct him on that. But he hasn't yet seen enough of it to think it's this truly marvellous place. "I like the water."
"Hm," Thena muses beside him, also taking in the shades of green and blue below them. The scent of the salt travels upward and the breeze of it rustles her hair. "There is something calming about it."
Gil isn't sure if he would describe it as calming. He always looks down at the waves crashing into a cliff as a tumultuous and violent thing. He thinks they should fear and respect the sea, but keep their distance. "You think?"
But Thena nods, soaking in its majesty. "The humans have claimed the earth they need, plots of land and spaces for their settlements. But no one owns the sea."
No, that is true. The waters of this planet are unencumbered, threatening to swallow up the landmasses by domination but always receding as per the moon's orders.
Thena bumps his hip with hers.
He chuckles, "what?"
She tilts her head, and it is unfair for someone so deadly to be so charming. "You're ruminating."
"I am not," he laughs off, but she's caught him fair and square.
"Share your thoughts," she prompts him, pursing her lips as a playfulness comes over her, "oh great tyrant king, Gilgamesh."
He rolls his eyes and huffs at her poking fun. As if her joy is not his joy also. "We shouldn't take the ocean lightly. It's dangerous, no matter how calm the beach waves might look at times."
"I'm not taking it lightly," she replies easily, and he gets the sense that she's heard and understood all the thoughts in his head. "I see it for what it is--the force behind it."
They both look out into the bay, where the gentle lapping of waves against the shore gives way to the rough and choppy texture of endless depth. Those waters will see plenty of Deviant carcasses, too deep for the humans to ever find.
"But I accept that along with this part," she moves her head in the other direction, nodding to where Sersi is showing a human family how to cast a net. The young ones giggle with glee and their joy makes the Elemental Eternal glow from within. "They are both part of the sea. I think that only adds to its beauty."
Beauty, Gilgamesh thinks, is not so simple a thing. He struggles to describe things as beautiful. A sunrise or a sunset merely exists, the sea is the colour it is because of the sediment in the water, the sky changes per the hour sometimes.
But he sees the light shining off Thena's eyes, constricting her pupils and bringing out the green colour of them. The darker rim around the iris, the jade colours swirling more calmly. That, he thinks, is beauty.
"Gil?" Thena asks, pulling him from his silence.
He smiles, because she's good at making him smile. "I guess I see what you mean."
"I for one am thankful for the cooling breeze the water offers," she states more clearly and lightly, moving away from the contemplative. She inhales as another wave crashes below and causes an updraft.
Gil unfolds his arms so he can move some of her hair off her shoulder and away from tickling her face needlessly. She looks at him and he withdraws, exhausted from the affection. "I don't have to be thankful to a body of water."
Thena laughs, and it's a very cute laugh for a Goddess of War. "There must be something for which you're thankful."
Her. It's always her. If she knew the degree to which he focused his thoughts on her surely she would recoil.
"Hm?" she prods, sliding closer until he can feel her much smaller arm against his thicker one. Their shoulder plates clink together and she celebrates getting a laugh out of him. "Anything?"
He looks at her unabashedly now. If he could tell her that she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, he would. Far more than any of their travels to this planet, far more than any natural phenomenon here now, he would. "I guess there is something."
"Something?"
"Someone," he amends quickly, and it seems to make his point. She smiles down at the water below, something like shyness coming over her.
Her hands clasp behind her back, "I'm sure they're thankful for you, too."
He snorts, "I don't know about that."
"Well," Thena angles herself towards him before rising onto her toes, "I am."
Gilgamesh lets her bend to press her lips to his cheek. He does it passively, letting her delicate hands balance her against his shoulder and his elbow. He leans ever so slightly for her, but that's it. He doesn't want to encourage this. He'll lose all sense, if he does.
"Shall we?" she prompts him, turning in the direction of their own.
"Fine," he grunts, but follows her like she has him on a leash. His steps are heavy and slow behind her light and graceful ones. If something were to approach from behind, let it face him first before so much as getting a glimpse of her.
"You should tell Ajak you are warming to the planet," Thena suggests lightly. "She seems quite bewitched by it. To say nothing of Sersi."
Gilgamesh has to constantly stop himself from telling Ikaris that he will never fully capture Sersi's heart away from this planet and the people residing here.
"We have much of it to see," she looks over her shoulder at him. "Perhaps somewhere you would like more."
He thinks all of this planet will look the same--feel the same. He shrugs.
Thena doesn't take offense to his lack of contribution. She looks forward again, "Ajak says we will abandon the ship entirely the more humans perceive us."
Gil doesn't entirely trust Ajak. He thinks she means well, but he also thinks that there are times when she doesn't tell them all she knows.
"I know you will miss our refuge away from them."
Gil uncrosses his arms, moving more deliberately to walk beside his partner. "So long as they don't ask me to join in any dancing, then fine."
Thena laughs, letting him capture her hand in his. "I'll defend you from such trials."
Then he has no qualms, no matter where they go, or how long they stay on this blue and green marble. If she is with him, then he can face anything.

Hi! I read your Spazkins fanfictions and I think they're really adorable! Can you perhaps give us some headcanons about them?
Hi there! Despite what it may seem, considering how long it’s taken me to reply to you, I am goddamnstoked that you asked about this! (I am so sorry to keep you waiting, though.) Thank you for asking, and thank you very much for reading mystories. I’m happy you liked them.
As the length of this post can attest,I have a lot of feelings about these characters to share with anyonewho will listen, but I must confess that many of my headcanonsdevelop during the writing process. Seeing as I’ve only written acouple of short fics for this pair, I still haven’t developed myversion of them as much as I would like. However, I do have someheadcanons, both for these characters as individuals and as a couple. It’s entirely possible they’re not exactly interesting HCs,but they help me flesh out the characters as I continue working withthem.
Before I go on, I want to take a moment to state that these are only headcanons, interpretations, and observations, not things that I am trying to present as fact or push into fanon. I’m just having too much fun with these characters.
Since you read my stories youalready know, but for anyone else who stumbles upon this, when Iwrite these characters I use the names Gilbert “Gil” Braun akaSpaz, and Edwin "Eddie/Ed” Hopkins. I’m also throwing in a fewheadcanons about another background character in the film, listed inthe credits simply as Stick, though I call him Norman “Norm”James. In my mind, he’s Gil’s best friend, so he’s relevant toSpazkins in that way.
This cutie is Stick, by theway:
Tumblr media
Now, on to the headcanons! Hopefully Ican put them in some sort of coherent order. (Note from future Orn:This post oscillates between being a disorganized essay and a list, but hopefully it’s intelligibleanyhow!)
I’ll start with Gil and Norm, seeing asI headcanon them as having known each other the longest out of thesethree. In fact, I like to think Norm was Gil’s first friend atWelton.Norm was given the nickname Stick by his peers becausehe is the smallest kid in their year. Seriously, look at the guy.
Tumblr media
Stick indeed.
I began to associate him with Spazbecause the two of them are seen with the Poets multiple times in thefilm—including at meals, where they are the only two non-Poets atthat table. I imagine they have complementary personalities, and werefast friends because of it. Likely they were drawn to each otherbecause of the things people think are odd about them; namely, Gilhaving health problems and Norm being small and thin. I headcanonthat Gil and Norm are able to bond over being avid readers of sci-finovels and pulp fiction, and once they’re out of school they becomeequally eager viewers of The Twilight Zone. (The latter, Edwin findshimself enjoying as well.)
In my mind, Norm is related in some wayto Nolan. Grandfather, uncle—I don’t know how yet, but I amdetermined to work this into one of my future stories. Due to hisrelationship to the dean, he isn’t bullied like Gil, but he is teasedon occasion, as most boys know he isn’t the type to tell Nolan. (It’snot like he’s overly fond of the man, either.) The teasing he gets isnot as rude as that which Gil has received. But after a number ofyears at Welton, someone came along who did much to stomp out theworst of the bullying on Gil’s behalf…
Two years before the events of thefilm, Edwin Hopkins enrolled in Welton Academy and was assigned adorm room with Gilbert. It was tense at first, with Gil unsure how tointeract with someone so aloof and, according to how Edwin presentedhimself to his peers, apathetic. However, they slowly built up acompanionable relationship when Edwin began to take it upon himselfto blandly intimidate or retaliate against those who teased orbullied Gilbert. Edwin wouldn’t react violently, or even loudly, buthe knew how to get people to knock it off, if only temporarily.
At first, Edwin was taken in by Gil’smore awkward, innocent demeanor and became protective of him becauseof it, while Gil’s feelings developed as he floundered in surprisethat he is being defended by someone he would have expected topartake in the bullying. They started speaking more in their room, and their friendship developed from there.
After Edwin madeit known to others that Gilbert was under his wing, so to speak, thebullying generally eased into lighter teasing. Though it remained anissue for Gil, his time at Welton improved significantly with thischange.
And while Edwin is something of aguardian angel to Gil, Gil pulls his weight in the friendship.Gilbert is the voice of reason, the wiser mind, of the two boys. Heknows how to get Edwin to listen, to stop and think before doingsomething reckless or impulsive. He also takes care of Edwin in hisown ways; he makes sure Edwin is awake in the morning and doesn’tmiss breakfast, offers help with homework, puts in an effort to cheerEd up if he is brooding, and so on.
Edwin is surprisinglythoughtful when it comes to Gil’s needs as well. As I wrote in TheSickly and the Meathead, he even thinks to tell Gil where he’sputting aside his glasses, that way he doesn’t have to blindly searchfor them. This is because when it comes to something he cares about,Edwin is quite detail-oriented. This is also the case with hisinterest in carpentry (touched upon in Safe in the Boughs, as well aslater in this post.) He considers the little things, and he thinksahead. Along that same line, Edwin checks in with Gilbert to makesure he doesn’t miss any doses of medication. He does it so casually, one would think he’d been doing it for years. Gil might be puttingaway his clothes as Edwin works at his desk, and without turningaround Ed asks if he remembered to take his medicine. Gil says yes, because of course he remembered, Ed grunts in acknowledgment, andthat’s that. Gil thinks it’s sweet.
Another way Edwin expresses hisaffection is through gifts, and the best example of this is TheBlanket of ‘58. See, Gil has two more blankets on his bed than theother boys, but they don’t hold in heat well enough for him. Knowingthis, in late November of his second year at Welton, Edwin gives Gila heavy crochet blanket as an early Christmas present. His motherbegan working on the blanket the previous winter after Edwin wrylycommented that his roommate was likely to freeze to death during oneof the cold winter nights at Welton. Despite his typical stoicism, she saw his fondness for Gilbert early on and was eager to make ablanket for this friend who mattered enough to Edwin to be mentionedoutside the context of sports and class. Later, Gil’s mother wouldexpress her thanks to Mrs. Hopkins by inviting their family todinner, where the parents hit it off. It is this meeting thatinitiated the friendship between the Hopkins and Braun families.
Above all, Eddie is a man of actionover words, and thus it is through his actions that he mostfrequently expresses his affections. Touches, kisses, favors—whetherrequested or not—he makes it known to Gil how he feels. And hisfeelings can run deep, especially where Gilbert is concerned. Even ashe threw himself into building their tree house (featured in Safe inthe Boughs), Edwin more than once indulged in idea of one day havinga real house to share with Gilbert.
All that said, it isn’t entirelyunheard of for Edwin to verbally express his feelings to Gil. Termsof endearment they’ve come to use are simply “baby” (Edwinaddresses Gil as such, though it is in private and not too frequent)and “Eddie.” Edwin’s pals at Welton often refer to him asEddie, too, but he finds that Gil’s voice can make it ring with sucha level of emotional intimacy that it may as well be an entirelydifferent name.
Kissing was a bit difficult for them atfirst. It took the two of them a while to get used to heavy kissingdue to Gil’s braces, but eventually they learned how to work aroundit. Another problem that occasionally crops up is that Edwin is verygood at taking Gil’s breath away, and as nice as that sounds, Gilneeds as much as he can get because, of course, he suffers from SteveRogers Syndrome. That is to say, his medical records are expansive, but he’s not on the verge of death. He is even able to participate insports at Welton, but is given much leniency. Chess and croquet aremore his deal.
Alright, I feel like this would be agood time to talk about their hobbies and other activities.
I believe Hopkins may canonicallybe captain of the soccer team. Though if this is the case, why did heflub his kick in the poetry/soccer exercise? To joke around? I don’tknow. My jury’s out on this one, but I think it’s interesting. I’mmostly basing this theory on the shirt he wears in these scenes:
Tumblr media
I don’t know a dingle damn thing about sport ball, but I’m pretty sure that shirt denotes something important.
(Along a similar vein, though it isn’tnecessarily relevant to this post, I believe Keating may be thecoach. He even has a history with soccer. According to his schoolannual, he was the captain of his soccer team for a bit.)
Along with soccer,I have a headcanon that Edwin has a passion for carpentry! It beganwhen, as a child, he was told that Jesus Christ had been a carpenter.Thinking that was rad as fuck, Ed took a strong interest in it. Eventhough his faith grew weaker over the years, he maintained his lovefor carpentry independently of that.
General aloofnessaside, Edwin also likes to joke around with and show off in front ofhis friends. He’s even willing to do so in front of authority figuresif he thinks he can get away with it. Though he doesn’t strike me as someonewho brazenly defies authority when he knows it will end inpunishment. Keating in particular has proven he is willing to put upwith Ed’s dumb shenanigans—though, as is shown in the movie, hedoesn’t appreciate or reward them. I agree with Keating’s jabs at thestunts he pulls. They’re not just disruptive, they’re lazy. I like toimagine that the laziness of the jokes is more of a bother to Keatingthan the fact that they’re happening in the middle of class.
As for Gil’spreferred activities, he is a pianist. The organ player at Weltonpicked up on his interest in the instrument, and offered to teachhim. Gil agreed, and discovered he enjoyed it. As he pursued theactivity outside of Welton, his family was able to procure a pianofor their home on which he continued to practice. He also enjoysbird-watching. (With this in mind, Edwin gives him a new pair ofbinoculars for his birthday one year. He doesn’t get the appeal ofthe activity, but Gil lights up when he talks about the birds, so Edhas no qualms humoring him.) And as I said before, Gil has fungeeking out with Norm over sci-fi.
Now for some stragglers:
-Gilbert’s fatherreminds me of George McFly. That’s all I have to say about that.
-Gilbert’smedications are kept in Hager’s office, so Gil has to visit him inthe morning and before bed to take his medicine.
-I can’t tell forsure if it’s true to life, but I like to imagine that Gil is tallerthan Ed.
-Edwinloves the silkiness of Gil’s hair, and Gil likes to card his fingersthrough Ed’s shorter 'do. And, though he doesn’t appreciate the cause,Ed thinks Gil’s consistently red nose is adorable.
Tumblr media
-Edwin’s friendsat school are not a tight-knight group. Notice that as he smugly readhis Truly Great poem The Cat Sat On The Mat (coming to a poetry slam near you), Hopkins was looking for the reactions of some of the boys around his own desk. None of these boysstood at the end of the film. Not saying this is canon, but it makessense to me.
-Gil’smother embroiders handkerchiefs before gifting them to him. Some aremonogrammed, others are only patterns or simple images. He sometimesfinds it embarrassing, but she puts so much love into herembellishments that he has never spoken a word of dissent.
-And finally, if you manage to catch agood look at Hopkins in the film, he has some birthmarks on hisface–small indentations on the left side near his hairline, and aline coming off the outer edge of his right brow. Wait, I have ascreencap for this one, too!
Tumblr media
Sometimeshe’s asked if they’re scars and what caused them, and just for kickshe comes up with a different answer each time. He doesn’t care thatpeople notice, and isn’t particularly self-conscious about them. Moreoften than not he only remembers they exist when Gil gathers theinitiative to press his lips to them.
And that’s my current lot of Spazkins headcanons!
Thankyou again for asking, iamidentical. Your question not only helped me think more complexly about these characters, but it also led to a new idea for a Spazkins fic. It felt good to share thesethoughts with you.

Hi! It's the fishing anon again! This time, how would the bros and Luna react to their s/o jumping into the (cold) water when the line is about to snap when they're fishing, and the fish (size doesn't matter) is only a few feet away? Who would jump right after them? Who would just keep on reeling? Aftercare if their s/o gets the sniffles after their dip?
Ah it’s you!! :D Fishing anon back with the cute prompts~
The group is low on supplies, especially food. And unfortunately you all were low on gil, which meant no buy food for tonight either. So Noctis takes it upon himself to try and fish up food. Gladio and Ignis are out on the hunt for Dual Horns for meat and Prompto is setting up camp, meanwhile you had sprained your ankle and it was best for you to stay off of it. And so you came with Noct.
He wasn’t having too much luck with his fishing. And you figured the other two weren’t having any luck either because none of them rang either of you up or came to fetch you both, meaning none of them caught food either.
But then suddenly there was a small glimmer of hope when suddenly the bait had been pulled under and you could hear the line spindling out on the reel. You could tell already from the easy time Noctis was having that it likely was just a smallfry. But hey! You weren’t going to complain! Food was food! Though you supposed you were going to need a little more to feed the rest of the guys too…
So close! So close! You were cheering Noctis on, just a little more to go annnnnd… The line snapped… it just snapped…
“No!” You shouted. That food, that beautiful food… getting it’s bearings and starting to swim away right before you and- no! Oh no you weren’t going to let yourself starve for tonight like this!“Hey, what are you doing?” Noct shouts when he sees you running past him and diving off the end of the pier. He just stands their slack jawed over the fact that you really just jumped into the ocean just for a fish.
However, Noctis quickly snaps out of that when he sees you flailing and splashing on the water and dives right on in when he hears a cry for help and drags you back out.
“What were you doing hopping in like that when you don’t even know how to swim?” Don’t mistake is tone for something scolding because it’s not going to be, at this point he’s stifling his laughter and he’s starting to fail at it.
Later when the sniffles start, Noctis just asks you “What did you learn?” while chuckling again. He starts to bring out the medicines (providing Ignis or one of the others remembered to get them when he didn’t). He ended up turning into somewhat of an errand boy just to make sure he had enough to also start getting what it took to make you soup. Of course with very light supervision from Ignis (in which there was no way Ignis would try to discourage this).
Finally you all had made it to Altissia, and you all decide that it can’t hurt to have one afternoon where you all do your own thing. Ignis was about to go to you and ask you if you wanted to accompany him at the cafe and grab a drink, but before anyone knew it you were already gone.
He left you to whatever you were doing for a long while, but it became worrying when it had crept late into the night and still no word from you. So he started the search to see where you’ve gone.
Surprisingly enough he had found you over at the lone pier in the middle of the water, the one only reachable by gondola. Had you been fishing all day? That was something he expected more from Noctis rather than you.
Once he got there he stood behind you just chatting and observing before dropping a suggestion. “You seemed to have been at this for quite some time, perhaps it’s time for a short break? Surely by now you’re feeling a tad famished.” He was right; all this time you had been so focused on catching fish that you had neglected to even get yourself a snack. You nodded in agreement and told him you just wanted to catch just one more.
It was right after you had said that, that your phone had rang. Ignis volunteered to hold the rod while you answered. Just as you stepped away, going to the other end of the pier, a fish snagged on to the line. No worries. Ignis has caught his own fair amount of fish from having to join the others. He can handle it.
Just as it was getting close, soon he’ll be bending down and picking the fish up, you had came running back. “Hey, you’ve got a-” all of the sudden your foot had smacked into a raised board on the dock and suddenly you came crashing down into the water.
Ignis didn’t jump in after you, and didn’t real in the fish either. Instead he knelt down and extended out his hand for you to grab onto so he could pull you up.
Unfortunately for you, the salt water of Altissia is the polar opposite of the warm and lively town- it is harsh and it is cold. But fortunately for you Ignis drapes his jacket over you and holds you closely to warm you with his own body heat while riding off to the hotel. Lightly he scolds you that “next time, you ought to be more careful”.You can expect plenty of warm beverages and a nice hot soup for dinner tonight and the next couple of nights. And he’ll be keeping an eye out on you just to try and make sure you don’t get sick. Good news is, you get the chance to finally kick back and relax while he takes care of that all.
At the crack of dawn Gladio had took it upon himself to wake you up. Rumor had it that Myrlwood had it’s very own legendary fish and Gladio wanted to be the one who actually caught it. And he wanted someone to witness, and who better than you?
The both of you set out and left the others behind. Was this a good idea you kept asking yourself. Myrlwood was a dangerous area to be roaming around with so few. But Gladio cast his vote of confidence in the both of yours skills, and it was rubbing off on you. You felt pumped and ready for anything!
Once there Gladio set everything up to start fishing; making sure to have a good, unused line and bringing out the Ranker Tonberry lure.“So… what kind of fish is this legend supposed to be exactly?” You asked.“They say that there’s a striped, blue Opah in these waters. One bigger than most any fish around.”“A striped blue Opah- The Moonfish? Aren’t those supposed to be extinct?” He nods, “Supposedly. But nature always finds a way.”“But if there really is one here, shouldn’t we leave it?” Suddenly it was like Gladio couldn’t hear you, and he kept waiting for something to bite.
After a good three hours or so, you both spotted something gigantic under the water slowly closing in on the bait before grabbing it and starting to give Gladio a fight. About another good half hour of him struggling with it and it was finally getting close! The rumor was true alright and you were astonished to be seeing it with your own two eyes. But then- “Shit I don’t this line is going to be holding out for too much longer.”
No… No, no, no, no! You had sat here for way too long for that to happen. Gladio had been reeling this big guy in for far too long to have this happen! It was a once in a lifetime chance! You jumped in…
Although surprised and caught off guard by your action, Gladio wasn’t too concerned- in fact he let out a hearty chuckle. The cold of the lake wasn’t going to harm you, instead he figured it might toughen you up. And if it didn’t, then struggling with pushing that fish back towards him would. Thanks to your help he caught the esteemed fish of legend. The big Opah ended up weighing in at 167 pounds.
You remember how Gladio thought that going into the lake like that wasn’t going to be a bad thing? Yeah he was wrong. Suddenly there’s nonstop sniffling and sneezing from you, and nonstop there’s snot rolling down. But Gladio can’t exactly get on you for it considering he let you do what you did.At this point he makes you stay back and away from the fights. And while at camp or at a hotel he brings you hot tea, yet another box of tissues, and has you constantly snuggling into his warm body.
Prompto was accompanying you to a fishing spot earlier in the morning. He had no intentions in fishing himself, but he did want to hang out. He sits near you chatting away, snapping pictures, playing King’s Knight on his phone.
A couple hours had passed and still nothing. Prompto began to start in on you- “Can’t you like, catch something cool? Something, you know, big?”- so you shoved the pole towards him.“Wait, you can’t be serious?” Oh, you were. If he wanted to see big fish caught then maybe he could actually try it himself.
Eventually something finally bites; it lurches him forward unexpectedly and already you knew Prompto had a bigger catch than you even thought was going to be lurking around in this lake. Quickly, you reached for the rod and was going to try helping Prompto pull it back while getting back on his feet, but just as soon as your hand got onto it, the fish gave another hard tug and suddenly you both were pulled right into the shallow end of water.
“My hair! My beautiful hair!” Prompto cried out as he rushed out of the water, “I spent so long on it this morning just trying to get it perfect!” He ends up pouting for awhile until you tell him that you think his hair still looks fine, still cute on him.Needless to say… Today you would come back empty handed.
Right after you both go back to the hotel to freshen up and dry up, hanging your clothes out to dry while you both raid the clothes intended for tomorrow. Of course… Not before you came cross Gladio who ended up laughing at the both of you for getting pulled in like that. (Thankfully you both managed to escape even getting so much as the shivers)
It was supposed to be a nice quiet evening; just you and Luna enjoying the cool breeze and surrounded by the smell of algae filled lake water. Luna was finally taking a day out for herself and wanted to have a calm evening where she wouldn’t have to worry, and she wouldn’t have to think. So you invited her to come with you for fishing again.
This time of round you let her have the rod; far from an expert, but she was by no means a newbie either. Most of her fishing had been done back when she was younger, back when her and Ravus went to start learning more about it. Their mother wanted to make sure that they could at the very least catch some of their own food this way if push came to shove. So as soon as the fishing rod goes into her hands she finds herself flooded by memories.
The biggest problem was that when you had handed the fishing pole off to her, the line was already in somewhat bad shape. You just didn’t notice until it was too late. And right before she heard the snap in the line she heard a large splash followed by her legs suddenly being wet.
“What are you doing? You could get sick!” She shouts. Casting aside any concern for herself she dives in after you, ignoring the sting of the cold as she tries to reach you.
The two of you are able to make it out. Both of you shivering and with your teeth clattering together… “What were you thinking? Do you truly have such little regard for yourself that you-” She started to say, but she went silent when you raised up your hand and in it was a little fish, a trout that weighed in at most three pounds.“I just wanted to see you happy, and I guess I got a little over zealous didn’t I?”The butterflies start to flutter her chest and she softly smiles, “Oh, what am I ever to do with you?”
As for afterwards; you didn’t fair too badly. It took a long while to get rid of the lingering shiver of the cold in your body, even though you had bundled yourself up under a blanket with her.
However Lunafreya found herself to be the one who was sniffling, which in turn caused concern in Ravus who could only shake his head.“Such recklessness, do you realize just how foolish this was? Over a fish no less?” His tirade keeps on going, and though he sounds harsh the two of you realize it comes from a place of worry(for her) in his heart. So his words don’t sting too badly.
But in the end, even though she got sick, you made her happy. And Ravus, too, was grateful for that.
