I find it genuinely worrying when I see people calling Day a brat for his behaviour, or when people act like he's not allowed to be sad for losing his sight.

Is the show about showing the world that you can live a happy and fullfiled life while being blind ? A 100%, and I truly believe Day will get there. Has been getting there, as a matter of fact.

The show's message is so powerful and I can't wait to see Day being 100% comfortable and happy with the life he is living as a blind man, I genuinely believe it will happen and it will be magnificent.

But like in the mean time... the man is still allowed to mourn what he's losing and people acting like he should just suddenly be okay with all of this happening to him is kind of mind blowing to me ? Do I feel sad for Night, when we've seen numerous times just how much he seems to care for his brother ? Definitely, my heart is kind of breaking for both of those boys right now.

Is Day being unfair towards Night and lashing out at him ? Maybe, we don't even know what has happened to trigger this behaviour yet.

But even if he was ?

Day is entitled to be angry. He's entitled to be sad. He's entitled to sometimes feel sorry for himself, and I find the idea that him feeling all of those emotions is somehow making him a brat to be so incredibly harmful.

His life will be beautiful and fullfilling, and seeing all those moments of joy and of Day learning to love everything he has in life and everything he's acquired since the accident is beautiful. But he's still allowed to grieve the life he had before all of this happened, and anger is a 100% part of this process.

I'm not saying he should never be called out for his behaviour, I fully believe he will be when the time is right. I will also be right there celebrating with the rest of you when he realizes just how much he has in life and how much he can do, he's already grown so much and has started to realize that his life can be just as amazing as it is now.

But please, let's stop pretending that him not being a 100% okay with the situation right now and lashing out makes him a brat.

You can feel sorry for Night AND empathize for what Day is going through.

You can hope for Day to be happy and love his life just as it is AND understand the anger and sadness he probably feels at times right now.

Those ideas are not mutually exclusive, and I just wish more people would see this.

Okay so here we have mxtx three main couples : Bingqiu, Wangxian and Hualian.

So I think many people has to know how painful it was for LWJ to wait for WWX.

Sure, SQQ waited, he knew that Binghe would come back and Binghe came back way earlier than in PIDW and both of them atleast knew that and the other knew he was atleast safe and would survive well until they meet again.

and then we have hualian , in this hua cheng waited. For 800 fucking years. Out of the three of them, he had to wait for 800 years. More like, he searched for him in the three realms, looking out for his beloved in any ways he could -god I can't stress enough about this- BUT he atleast knew that Xie Lian was alive. Even though he was not okay and suffering even in the tiniest bit, he knew that he was alive, breathing and living.

But Lan Wangji? He didn't know. This man didn't even know that his beloved got killed until he came back from his punishment and HE DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO BELIEVE THAT HE DIED. So he dragged his heavy body with injuries to the mounds where he could atleast see for himself that if he's there or not. Trust me when I say this, he wasn't going to accept that WY was dead until he saw his corpse which he never did. So he believed that he'd come back. Because death never stopped Wei Wuxian anyway. You know why? The first time being the incident of Xuanwu cave, it was serious but he came back. The second being the 3 month disappearance after wwx's core thing and the burial mounds. Everyone thought he was dead. But LWJ didn't, he wasn't going to believe until he search him and see it with his own eyes. And WWX did come back. Even after the siege , he wanted to search. He wasn't going to believe the rumours (cough cough) that the mighty yiling patriarch was dead. So that's what he did.

He spent YEARS for searching someone who was dead and let me tell you. He was not just dead. He was LONG dead. No one could summon his soul, no spirit or god could even tell where wwx was. If a person wasn't dead, then there is no use in asking the deceased but LWJ did anyway. He knew that he might not see wwx ever again, deep in his heart but he wasn't ready to believe. What breaks me even more is the fact that if MXY hadn't summoned Wei Wuxian, Lan wangji would have never even found him and wwx would have been stayed as the horrible yiling patriarch.

Lan wangji would have never found him, even more, he would have still searched for him until his death.
